This for some reason brought tears to my eyes. I think because the heartbreak I feel knowing I have a prolapse at 23 years old I shove deep down and don’t let those emotions out. I feel your pain and am so sorry you have to experience this. I had a 9lb 5oz baby 2 years ago when I was 20. And a traumatic birth. Have had symptoms for 2 years and only now realise I may have prolapse as suspected by my gp. Its so devastating.
Reading through the comments I am shocked at the number of health care professional who are telling people that they are fine when we know our own bodies and can tell when something is not right. If they do examine you lying down they're supposed to ask you to gently bear down to find out what is going on but that doesn't seem to be happening? Coupled with the fact that hardly anyone talks about this makes it difficult to get the right advice; I didn't even know what prolapse was,I just knew that my bladder was trying to escape through my birth canal and that is definitely not normal! This is fast becoming my favourite channel and I will be pointing all the ladies in my postnatal class in your direction.

One thing to add....a good, knowledgeable Gynecologist will also examine you while you're standing with one foot up on a low platform. This allows them to see the prolapsed organ with the normal amount of pressure and strain that standing/walking on a daily basis puts on your pelvic floor.
I can relate. I had a concern about a bladder and rectal prolapse after having my son, and my doctor totally brushed me off. Just because I’m not a doctor doesn’t mean I don’t know something is wrong with MY body.
Same thing happened with me! I recently got diagnosed with grade 1 uterine prolapse and my doctor said nothing can be done about it! 😒 I am so confused. We are planning for baby next year now I am scared to even have sex! 😔
I am so grateful to have found this site. I developed a cystocele in my early 60s (I am now 68) and was assessed for possible surgery. Thank goodness I chose not to do that -- I've heard some terrible stories about severe infections and the mesh they use breaking apart inside the body. I've been trying to do lots of keigels and inverted yoga postures which help a little but I am really looking forward to exploring more of your work and suggestions. I suspect there are lots of women my age dealing with this, but it is not exactly something one can bring up in conversation!! Pelvic floor health is so important at any age but it is not something we ever learn about or talk about. What a gift that you are sharing your story and your journey. Thank you.

I am so sorry to hear what you are going through. At least, being from Canada, I do not have to worry about medical coverage -- that must be so stressful knowing that you don't have good medical coverage. I have been practicing the exercises offered here through FemFusion for awhile now and have been getting some relief. I'm currently following the 30 day Kegel Boot Camp and I am loving it!! My daughter is 16 and I have felt from the beginning that smth is not right. However no medical professional had an ear for it. 3 years ago I found on a routine smear test that I had a slight prolapse but over time I feel it has got worse. Where I live the dr wasn’t very helpful we have no therapists so I’ve researched a lot. I’ve felt very isolated with my problem and have kept it to myself a lot cz of feeling embarrassed. Of course we should never feel like this. There are thousands of women in the world with this problem in varying degrees m it’s great to have drs n therapists like yourself to help us . Thank you so much.

I 100% agree! You must be your own "guru" and learn how to listen to (and trust) your own body. All too often we mindlessly give ourselves over to the system without consulting our instincts and our intuition. Im 74 and have just found out that i have a prolapse bladder, i have started doing your core and kegel exercises, I'm 2 weeks in and do then 3 times a day. Thank you for these videos. I've been told I can try a pessary, at this stage I've opted to do the exercising and will definately start walking again after listening to you and your prolapse. Thank you again

This is so excellent, thank you I don't have a prolapse but can pass this info on to my exercise class members. I did self rectify a diastasis recti of 4 fingers width. The consultant said he would not operate, which was fine but left me feeling lost, we can so help ourselves if we put our minds to it. I felt EXACTLY what you described on day 2 of my son’s life! I stood up from the couch while holding him and felt the sudden drop just like you said. I have a grade 2 bladder prolapse from his birth. Luckily I got PT and it didn’t get worse with my second baby but I am experiencing worsening symptoms with carrying my big toddler around!

I'm 56 and diagnosed with prolapse. It's very inbariasing. I feel like gravity's pulling me like a magnetic force. I cannot carry anything heavy without loosing my breath . I love some advice mine to is bladder.
I have felt over the past thirty years that hospitals throw women out too quickly after they have given birth. I have met many young women who within a couple of days were back to normal activities. My mother’s generation used to stay in bed for 10 days. Japanese women traditionally would rest completely for a month and their relatives would come n and take care of the home and cooking.
Same as us here in Fiji we normally be in bed for 3 straight months, cooking and washing are always done by our mother or mother in law and the bathing of our baby, even we are not allowed to comb our hair for 2 months, and we are always drinking herbal medicine to heal our body from child birth

I had a hysterectomy last March and had an unfortunate slip and fall shortly afterwards. The ER doctor assured me I was fine, them I noticed a bulge sticking out of my vagina about the width of the tip of my pinky finger. I sought medical adivce recently and the examining nurse assured me I was fine, no surgery needed. Well, The Dr I just sae disagrees and recommended a surgery for rectocele. I broke down crying in front of him. Can this help me?! I don't want to go through another painful surgery.

It was very scary and confusing to me, I didn't have training like you but I knew for sure something was wrong. It has taken me two years to convince a doctor to take me seriously and perform an effective exam - last week. I have surgery on Oct. 8th! WE KNOW OUR OWN BODIES! I feel like the only person in my area who has this, none of my friends or family have ever heard of it. Had only one baby pushed for 2 hours, and I tried to breathe with my contraction, but my doctor made me hold my breath to push, and I have a strong feeling that contributed to my grade 2 bladder prolapse
@@kaylaandfob194same thing happened to me, 2 hours of pushing. I wanted to use the breathing technique I learned in a hypnobirthing course, but the midwife insisted me to hold my breath and push. I’m sure that was the cause of my prolapse and I’m so sad and angry now

I had a similar experience after giving birth last year. I felt a mild prolapse but a Dr exam didn’t agree. I did some home exercises that did help, but I have dropped the ball need to get back to it. Thank you for sharing your story and insight.
I have a third degree cystocele that I have been told "oh well you did have a baby so everything will be different down there for the rest of your life" from two separate health care providers😔 It's really hard to deal with these hidden problems and to know where to go and how to get the help you know should be getting.

I had this when I went back to teaching Zumba and doing Crossfit workouts 6 weeks after the birth of my 4th child (I'm an eejit!) and you are absolutely right it can be reversed. The outcomes from Google search are utterly awful but they are wrong! I've had my 5th and last child 6 weeks ago with no problems, but I'll be leaving it a good 6 months before going back to work this time :)
This is good to hear because I just had my third and I have prolapse and really wanted at least one more child so I have been very scared that I couldn’t have anymore kids
@@amnihtisham3396 I went to this channel. Bri has some fantastic gentle exercise regimes that will complete reverse prolapse within weeks, you just need to be a bit more aware careful afterwards so not to undo all of the good work. I can't remember the exact videos but it involved propping your hips up with a cussion or yoga block, bear with me I will see if I can find them.
This was sooooooo helpful! I am almost five weeks postpartum and I felt the heaviness right away after giving birth. I, too, did a self examination 😉 and felt certain I had bladder prolapse. I'm currently seeing a women's health PT and getting ready to do a session to learn the hypopressive technique so I hope between those things and the natural postpartum recovery period to be back to normal life soon! This is so encouraging. I'm 7 weeks postpartum with my third baby and developed a stage 2 cystocele. Oddly enough, my pt said I had a stage 2 uterine prolapse 2 years after my second and now it's reversed (I did lots of pelvic floor work, but mostly to fix sciatica and back pain)! I'm sure I was in wayyy worse shape postpartum with my first and overdid it a ton those first 3 months or so before I saw a pelvic floor pt (plus had a forceps delivery, third degree tear, and episiotomy 😬). Anyway, I think with each baby I've gone through feeling fearful and hopeless, but getting the right help from the right people and committing to the work has been helpful in the past, and I'm grateful for all your other resources to help!
Thanks a lot for sharing this. I had the same experience: felt perfect after delivery and was too eager to fulfill my mother obligations so I didn't rest well as I should. In addition, my OB didn't do a good job warning me about any possible postpartum problems like this -- I didn't know that I'm at a higher risk of prolapse after a forceps delivery, or simply at risk of prolapse at this young age. I didn't have the knowledge about why prolapse may develop and I was really frustrated believing it'll be a lifelong problem. I felt my OB was too optimistic about it and brushed it off as a problem too common or minor. Now I'm eager to learn how to exercise and improve our conditions with prolapse. hoping to reverse the condition as you did soooooon! Please share more!!
OMG, Yessssssss! This is what has happened to me in the past and I feel like this again now :( I have had so many episodes with straining from constipation and I think that's what caused it the first time, I noticed my vaginal insides did not feel the same as before and I felt looser like more open or something and I thought ok, this doesn't feel normal as before, and I had these air bubbles coming out I think from my vaginal opening deep inside and things just definitely Did NOT feel the same. So I went to all these different doctors with them telling me that I was fine but I Did NOT feel fine or the same as I remember before and I was very very depressed about this because I was paying a lot of attention to it and wondering why I was feeling that different odd way
I'm not sure if it was a prolapse, all I knew was that I didn't feel the same in that area and it felt looser like a sense of something feeling like it may fall out, but it was just this more open like feeling in my introitus I believe and the first time I must have reversed it because there was this sharp pain that I kept getting that made me jump and it instantly made me clench my muscles like all day long, then out of nowhere overtime I started feeling normal again
Now that feeling is back again and I don't know if it comes from being sexually active or from alot of repetitive constipation straining or maybe both even, I just know the feeling doesn't feel normal like before, before I felt tight in both the vaginal and anal area now it feels different in both areas, it feels more like kind of a pulling or dragging sensation of looseness kind of. Was wondering femfusion, did you have somewhat of that same feeling with the air bubbles and looser open like feeling in the vaginal region??
I've been sooooooooo depressed because I feel like I won't ever feel the same Normal feeling again, and I've been trying to do kegels but it kind of seems like it's not working as effectively, could this mean that my muscles are strained and weak and stretched?

When a woman lays on her back, an gets a vinaga prolaspse exam by a doc., the inside organs fall back into place. You have to be up right so doc.can see the small bladder perturing out side your private area.
WOW it only took me 3 years to find this- but thankful I did- even though my ‘baby’ is 27- your story sounds like mines- I felt what I thought was a bothersome hair down there- but when I got a mirror- .. oh boy!! - - I’m told I have a moderate case -- my dr. Says something else that was surprising- that all they do all day is change Pessaries- so you’re right - this is something that needs to be taught early on-- I try to educate all my female family and friends- thanks again
I am a physiologist and physical therapist. There's a lot of hype about what can be achieved by core and pelvic floor exercise for POP. It is much more important to achieve a healthy body weight with a BMI of 24 or under. Excess abdominal organ and adipose weight in the abdomen and pelvic cavity contribute more to prolapse than weak pelvic floor muscles. It's a simple matter of physics that is lost in this day of health professionals trying to make a living out of consultations and 3 mth exercise programs. As a physiologist who has done many cadaver and MRI studies, I can confirm excess abdominal weight pressing down stretches the ligaments and peritoneum above the pelvic organs (rectum, vagina/uterus, bladder). This leads to one organ leaning against another, and eventually prolapsing. A firm pelvic floor will help with incontinence, and external prolapse, but not the originating causes. So to stop the feeling of fullness, keep losing abdiminal fat until you get your weight healthy. Unfortunately, American culture has been deluded into thinking being overweight is normal and healthy. POP is one of the outcomes. Pelvic floor and core exercises tend not to improve things unless one is also working towards healthy bodyweight. Anyone who thinks I am wrong, I challenge you to ask your midwife or doctor or physical therapist to name the supporting ligaments for each of the four pelvic organs, and which are most important in preventing them from prolapsing. I've never met anyone who masters the physics and anatomy of this subject adequately.
You make a good point about body weight and where the weight is carried. The purpose of this video was primarily to give people hope and let them know that they're not alone.
Thank you for your story, mine is similar but I am not a runner and have no idea why it happened. I did go to a doctor who told me it was my bladder, but I have some doubts so I have appointments this week to see my family doctor and my OB/GYN that I had at the hospital. I freaked out when I found mine in the shower and went to the ER thinking it was an infection. Glad to hear it MAY be possible to correct it with out surgery.

I’m new to your channel... found you when seeking kegal exercise. I’m watching this video today. I too have a something I can see with a mirror, but not once has my Dr said anything ☹️ I’m 56 yrs old and have had 4 babies. Always active during and after every pregnancy, but in my early 40’s stopped exercising and gained 50 lbs. With lack of movement and the weight I was experiencing bladder problems beyond a cough or laugh. I found rowing classes... water rowers... and started the journey of weight loss. Rowing is intense like running , if you push hard enough, with those alone my bladder became less of a problem only during coughing / laughing. I’m two days in to your camp and I’m hopeful to have change to my body even though I’m much older and have had 3 more children then you. Thank you for the help you are sending out to us women who need more information than we are getting from our health providers.
I am so excited to find you here. My story is long so will explain it in short. Partial hysterectomy at the age of 46 in 2015 which caused me to go into surgical menopause, 4 days after removing my uterus and much scar tissue I went septic and needed bladder surgery from being nicked in two places. I had 3 weeks of self catheterizing. Did HRT for about 2 yrs. Got too expensive and only seemed to help minimally so I stopped in 2017. Now during this pandemic, I think I have a bladder prolapse. I can see my urethra. It's not hanging out but it feels like when you have a tampon in half way. Probably a stage 2 but I have not had a proper diagnosis yet. Not all days does it feel like that but it feels uncomfortable and some days painful. My husband was laid off due to covid-19 on March 20 . We had to buy cheap private insurance so I am trying to figure all of this out and how to take care of this with lifestyle changes, kegels, and proper exercise until he gets a job. Then I can go see my OBGYN in hopes to get PT with a specialist. I started all of this a week ago and I have been so discouraged and frustrated. Like I already mentioned,I think it's either a stage 2 or 3. I thinks it's a stage 2 because when I stand nothing sticks out. Since I have not been diagnosed yet so all I have to go by currently is the internet which is kind of scary. 😬 I thank you for your encouragement. I am not thinking my situation can be reversed but I am sure the lifestyle changes and PT will help. It's sadtthat this topic is.not talked about in your earlier years of childbirth. 😊

@@shelleythomson1002 I am sorry you feel like you do. Its devastating. I finally went to a urogynocologist and found out I have a vaginal prolapse due to atrophy. The ligaments tore. I was prescribed a estradiol vaginal cream which has helped with my symptoms. I also finally got a pessary. I wore it yesterday so I could workout and do other activities. At the end of the day I still did not hurt so the pessary helps me to do activities but I dont wear it all day long. So I am doing better but dont want to live my life like this. I am now waiting to have surgery after my husband's new health insurance kicks in August 1st. Good luck to you. I hope physio therapy helps you. 😊

I have bladder and bowel prolapse, it’s so uncomfortable isn’t it, only had it since sunday that bad feeling I am already over it. I stand up at work a lot of the day , when I sit it’s much better but who wants to do that I love the gym and being active I don’t like to sit still . Hope you get surgery soon 😘

I was totally unaware of this. And about a year ago I felt like my uterus was dropping and like you said was coming out and felt a discomfort. My mother when I was young did kagels that I could remember. So when this happened a year ago. The only thing I could think to do was kagel. So when I did I could feel my uterus going back up into place and I could actually feel the kagel helping that previous weakness become slowly better just by kagelling.

It took me 3 time in less than a week for them.to discover my uterine prolapse. My regular doctor told me today. The gynecologist told me it was just vaginal tissue, the ER did an ultrasound and pelvic exam the didn't find anything. Smh

The best exam is to sit on a toilet and bear down. A long handled mirror can be put behind you to show the prolapse. It can also be detected by laying on one's side and pushing out or bearing down. A urogynecologist or a colorectal surgeon is the best type of doctor to go to for this to be diagnosed. Has anyone used this for complete rectal prolapse?
Thank you, and YES - I agree. This info needs to be shared to girls BEFORE they start having babies... So much could be prevented. Even if they're not fully "there" or interested (there are so many other things that teens are thinking about), at least the initial seed could be planted.
I just came across your video even though it is a few years old I am 51 and just been diagnosed with cystocele and rectocele I am in my second week of dieting and trying pelvic floor exercises still really don’t have too much relief especially around my backside is usually worse at night very uncomfortable sitting down feels more like huge hemorrhoids but I know that’s not it it’s taking a toll on my intimate life with my husband and he does not understand I am hoping to avoid this nasty surgery I am seeing a specialist in July it is probably I would say 3rd degree I wonder if I can fix this without surgery
I’m two years postpartum and have just developed a prolapse. I am unable to get an appointment with my doctor for a few more weeks and I’ve become obsessed with this scary situation. I have so many questions!! (Will I be able to get pregnant as we’ve been trying? Can I carry a normal pregnancy? Etc) Thank you for sharing your experience.

I believe I have a bladder prolapse. I am 68, a retired nurse, and recently lostv35 lbs. With another 30 to go. I have that pouch that women develop due to obesity. I am having a slow start to urination, then have to strain down to empty my bladder. It's very frustrating. I plan to research this and see if I can improve the problem. I may have to see a surgeon to get this resolved. I have had dystasis of the recti muscles with my last pregnancy (49 years ago). Thanks for sharing.

This is me! I went to 15doctors for my problem but all of them said that nothing is wrong with me. I’m so disappointed coz I’m on pain at all time. Now i have to believe in me that i have uterine prolapse which effect on my urine infection every month!

You inspire me a lot, you are a blessing for all us! Now that you fixed your prolapse, do you do something to give “maintenance” to prevent the problem from coming back ? Like do you still doing kegels or the lift series?

I work out every day (here's my schedule: ruclips.net/video/VYwSvWhwTtA/видео.html), I focus on maintaining great posture and moving around a LOT throughout the day (when I sit too much, it's easy to slouch!), and I always keep the body mechanics/lifestyle tips from "Lift" in mind (i.e. exhale with exertion, proper lifting, etc.). It's a "forever" lifestyle... All of these little daily habits add up to maintain the progress!
HINT: I cant help but think the food we eat/drink is a major player in the elasticity firmness of our internal tissues. if we eat an inflammatory diet ie wheat, sugar, alcohol, seed oils, coffee, all that damages the body, inflames the tissues, weakens them, and thats why we put ourselves at risk for this issue. birthing or lifting or athletics spearhead the incident but the internal tissues have been damaged/weakened for years prior to finding out.
I don’t even know if you’ll get this since the post was so long ago, but I have a very mild rectocele. Do you think the lift/ab series would help that type of prolapse as well? This is really helpful. Even for a male , with pelvic floor issues like me I'm male of 27 yol and 4 years ago I started to feel a "heavy ball" in my anus and after seeing 3 different doctors without a diagnosis (one even suggested that I couldn't have something serious just because I was young) I abandoned my quest until 3 months ago (november 2018) because my patology became VERY obvious, Literally my rectum is outside when I go the bathroom and push ,so I taked a Picture And showed it to my doctor (she's a surgeon, and coloproctologyst specialist) inmmediately she said I had a rectal prolapse. And since that I had a sidmoidoscopy and a pelvic tomography (both confirmed the diagnosis) The thing is I have a congenetic weakness in my pelvic floor which derived in the rectal prolapse. I'll have my surgery next week (is rectopexy plus redundant sigmoides resection) My guess is that I'll have to do kegel and biofeedback excercizes for my rehabilitation post surgery. These four years were horrible for me, a prolapse is something that decrease your life quality by a lot, but by having my surgery next week I learned that anything is possible and there's hope!

Hi i just found out i have a prolapsed bladder. Doctor said it was very mild and thought with exercise it would help. Your story interested me bcuz you mention a pop when you thought your bladder prolapsed. Two years ago i was driving myself to the urgent care for a bad UTI when all of a sudden i felt a rush of warm sensation down my pelvic area that i have never felt in my life. Doc never checked me and only said it was a UTI. I now think that this was my bladder prolapsing? A few days ago, I went to the urgent care bcuZ I noticed a slight bulge inside my vaginal opening and also bcuZ I had another UTI sensation. Well, turns out i had bacterial vaginosis and a mild UTI along with a slight prolapsed bladder. In your video you did not mention if you got recurring UTIs. Did you ever get UTIs with your prolapse? Anyone? Thank you.
For some individuals, UTIs can be associated with prolapse. I recommend seeking a consultation with a women's health physical therapist to help you with your mild prolapse! Good luck
Mina O yes, prolapse causes uti and yeast infections or bacterial vaginosis, to answer your question with complete certainty the answer is yes. My aunt had prolapse and well reoccurring infections. So yes
@Victorious Spirit because when the uterus prolapses the vaginal canal can not breath, or properly cleanse itself, it was creating pocketing of closed off sections of skin and you know how bacteria and yeast just LOVE to thrive in warm moist places with little to no air. Anyway, the uti is from the prolapse of the bladder, because you can not feel empty completely the pee that remains starts to generate bacteria, and there for causes UTI You can reverse this, but you have to really dedicate to the exercises and look up vaginal lifting, because in order to get the uterus high and strong that is what your going to have to measure up to get bladder control as well, countless women over the age of 50 have done this and have come out running lol literally! no leaking! praise God.
So strange trying to look at ourselves. Challenging! I examined myself laying and squatting and could see the bulge, although I must say everything looked quite strange squatting and I'm not sure how it's supposed to look. 😂 Had another appointment, with a different physiotherapist, today and she examined me laying...I voiced how previous health care providers had checked me laying and standing would be better, but she still checked me laying. I do feel like it was a more thorough examination than the first time. She couldn't see the bulge, but I can feel it, even when laying down, so not sure why she couldn't see it. As I commented on another one of your videos she also has changed the diagnosis which was given to me by numerous people last year, it wouldn't be my bladder, it would be my rectum that has prolapsed. She asked me to bear down and couldn't see anything in my vagina, however with the anal examination she was able to push up against my vaginal wall and that bulged. 😕 She's recommended kegel like exercises, which was what the first one had recommended and I'd felt a worsening of the symptoms, I am nervous to try the regimen. I also have trouble locating my muscles. I feel like my buttocks are easily clenched. Am trying to relax them more, but find that when I try to contract inside, the outside does too. Does that make sense? 🙈

What did the drs suggest for you? Im 25 weeks pregnant with baby #4 and im not sure what i can do. Ive talked to 2 different doctors now i just need 1 of them to officially diagnose me. They said im just feeling things earlier and more because its number 4. But after i found a buldge today, i will not let it slip by!

QUESTION ::: Why are women who have had forceps deliveries at a higher risk for prolapse? And thanks so much for sharing this! I too am scared of prolapse, especially because I am more at risk (have had 3 babies, have D.R. and a weak pelvic floor due to a recent forceps delivery).
You're welcome! Per your question, forceps delivery can be disruptive to the pelvic floor muscles and connective tissues which may increase risk of prolapse down the road. I wish you all the best!
I had a mild grade 1-2 prolapse. At this point, it's not noticeable and it doesn't bother me... So I consider it to be reversed! I look to quality of life, more than grade/stage.
I wonder if someone in the medical profession would have believed me two years ago, if I maybe would have been able to take action to help it so I wouldn't have gotten to the point of having surgery in a couple weeks.......

Thanks so much for your informative video and story! I have just been diagnosed with uterine/cystocele prolapse and I had never heard of this before! I'm only 42 and this is devastating news especially since I am very active and thought I was in great shape:( Hiking and climbing mountains is a favorite activity of our whole family! (is there any hope to continue doing this?) I had my babies 20 years ago and now I'm paying for not doing Kegels ,etc..all these years. I wish there was more awareness out there about this problem! I do not want to have surgery if at all possible. I'm ready to start working with a women's health therapist and hope I can fix or at least reverse the prolapse somewhat with exercises. I'm probably around stage 3 and the doctor said my uterus is still pretty firm which gives me a little hope. I want to start your lift exercises. I've been watching your videos because I too suspect a prolapse even after being cleared by doctor after having baby. Things felt different. And I could feel bulging in the vaginal canal. FAST forward 3 years later and I am now pregnant and have noticed it is still there which at the time of being told I was fine I had just chalked it up to this must be the aftermath and the new normal. So I ignored it. But I think the baby, 30 weeks now, may be putting pressure and making it worse? I feel pressure when standing and walking and when showering I can feel the "bulge". Are the exercises safe and even possible to do while pregnant to help strengthen the pelvic floor so that, if nothing else, prevent more damage during birth? Thanks for putting this info out there..
Since you're in your third trimester, I recommend keeping your exercises very gentle (don't dive into anything too intense at this time). You might benefit from my "Lift Week One" video, as it focuses on relaxing/releasing the pelvic floor (very important for pregnancy) and very gently strengthening. This happened to me I had just had my daughter and I heard something snap and something was blocking my vaginal area I cried I did pelvic floor and kegels but my vagina is never the same again it makes me super sad
I have stage 3 bladder prolapse. I wish I had known it could be reversed at the earlier stage. The only advise my gynecologist gave me on the initial exam was to allow her to tack it up before it progressed. But I didn’t because of the horror stories and regrets of women that had the surgery. Plus it has a high failure rate. Most days I don’t think about it and tolerate it well, bit on the days when I am tired and on my feet a lot, it drives me crazy. Is there anything I can do at this point to strengthen the pelvic floor to hold it up better?

I am sorry but I am appalled by your midwfe's misjudgment. And I have to follow that with how I appreciate your story of how you ultimately corrected the problem on your own. I have very critical things to say about widespread ob gyn practices that cause problems, especially for birthing and postpartum women and it is taking all my self discipline to not go full tirade here. Yes, I had my baby boy at 20 and I had prolapse and other issues and I was so embarrassed and confused as to why this was all happening to me when I'm so young and healthy.

Reading through the comments I am shocked at the number of health care professional who are telling people that they are fine when we know our own bodies and can tell when something is not right. If they do examine you lying down they're supposed to ask you to gently bear down to find out what is going on but that doesn't seem to be happening? Coupled with the fact that hardly anyone talks about this makes it difficult to get the right advice; I didn't even know what prolapse was,I just knew that my bladder was trying to escape through my birth canal and that is definitely not normal! This is fast becoming my favourite channel and I will be pointing all the ladies in my postnatal class in your direction.

One thing to add....a good, knowledgeable Gynecologist will also examine you while you're standing with one foot up on a low platform. This allows them to see the prolapsed organ with the normal amount of pressure and strain that standing/walking on a daily basis puts on your pelvic floor.
I can relate. I had a concern about a bladder and rectal prolapse after having my son, and my doctor totally brushed me off. Just because I’m not a doctor doesn’t mean I don’t know something is wrong with MY body.
Same thing happened with me! I recently got diagnosed with grade 1 uterine prolapse and my doctor said nothing can be done about it! 😒 I am so confused. We are planning for baby next year now I am scared to even have sex! 😔

I am so grateful to have found this site. I developed a cystocele in my early 60s (I am now 68) and was assessed for possible surgery. Thank goodness I chose not to do that -- I've heard some terrible stories about severe infections and the mesh they use breaking apart inside the body. I've been trying to do lots of keigels and inverted yoga postures which help a little but I am really looking forward to exploring more of your work and suggestions. I suspect there are lots of women my age dealing with this, but it is not exactly something one can bring up in conversation!! Pelvic floor health is so important at any age but it is not something we ever learn about or talk about. What a gift that you are sharing your story and your journey. Thank you.

At least, being from Canada, I do not have to worry about medical coverage -- that must be so stressful knowing that you don't have good medical coverage. I have been practicing the exercises offered here through FemFusion for awhile now and have been getting some relief. I'm currently following the 30 day Kegel Boot Camp and I am loving it!! My daughter is 16 and I have felt from the beginning that smth is not right. However no medical professional had an ear for it. 3 years ago I found on a routine smear test that I had a slight prolapse but over time I feel it has got worse. Where I live the dr wasn’t very helpful we have no therapists so I’ve researched a lot. I’ve felt very isolated with my problem and have kept it to myself a lot cz of feeling embarrassed. Of course we should never feel like this. There are thousands of women in the world with this problem in varying degrees m it’s great to have drs n therapists like yourself to help us . Thank you so much.

I 100% agree! You must be your own "guru" and learn how to listen to (and trust) your own body. All too often we mindlessly give ourselves over to the system without consulting our instincts and our intuition. Im 74 and have just found out that i have a prolapse bladder, i have started doing your core and kegel exercises, I'm 2 weeks in and do then 3 times a day. Thank you for these videos. This is so excellent, thank you I don't have a prolapse but can pass this info on to my exercise class members. I did self rectify a diastasis recti of 4 fingers width. The consultant said he would not operate, which was fine but left me feeling lost, we can so help ourselves if we put our minds to it. I felt EXACTLY what you described on day 2 of my son’s life! I stood up from the couch while holding him and felt the sudden drop just like you said. I have a grade 2 bladder prolapse from his birth. Luckily I got PT and it didn’t get worse with my second baby but I am experiencing worsening symptoms with carrying my big toddler around!

I'm 56 and diagnosed with prolapse. It's very inbariasing. I feel like gravity's pulling me like a magnetic force. I cannot carry anything heavy without loosing my breath . I love some advice mine to is bladder.
I have felt over the past thirty years that hospitals throw women out too quickly after they have given birth. I have met many young women who within a couple of days were back to normal activities.
My mother’s generation used to stay in bed for 10 days. Japanese women traditionally would rest completely for a month and their relatives would come n and take care of the home and cooking.
Same as us here in Fiji we normally be in bed for 3 straight months, cooking and washing are always done by our mother or mother in law and the bathing of our baby, even we are not allowed to comb our hair for 2 months, and we are always drinking herbal medicine to heal our body from child birth

I had a hysterectomy last March and had an unfortunate slip and fall shortly afterwards. The ER doctor assured me I was fine, them I noticed a bulge sticking out of my vagina about the width of the tip of my pinky finger. I sought medical adivce recently and the examining nurse assured me I was fine, no surgery needed. Well, The Dr I just sae disagrees and recommended a surgery for rectocele. I broke down crying in front of him. Can this help me?! I don't want to go through another painful surgery.

Thank you for sharing this! It made me tear up. I had forgotten about that moment when my prolapse "popped" and your story brought it right back to my memory. It was very scary and confusing to me, I didn't have training like you but I knew for sure something was wrong. It has taken me two years to convince a doctor to take me seriously and perform an effective exam - last week. I have surgery on Oct. 8th! WE KNOW OUR OWN BODIES! I feel like the only person in my area who has this, none of my friends or family have ever heard of it. Had only one baby pushed for 2 hours, and I tried to breathe with my contraction, but my doctor made me hold my breath to push, and I have a strong feeling that contributed to my grade 2 bladder prolapse
@@kaylaandfob194same thing happened to me, 2 hours of pushing. I wanted to use the breathing technique I learned in a hypnobirthing course, but the midwife insisted me to hold my breath and push. I’m sure that was the cause of my prolapse and I’m so sad and angry now

I had a similar experience after giving birth last year. I felt a mild prolapse but a Dr exam didn’t agree. I did some home exercises that did help, but I have dropped the ball need to get back to it. Thank you for sharing your story and insight.

I have a third degree cystocele that I have been told "oh well you did have a baby so everything will be different down there for the rest of your life" from two separate health care providers😔 It's really hard to deal with these hidden problems and to know where to go and how to get the help you know should be getting.
Surely they should be offering you the surgery ?

I had this when I went back to teaching Zumba and doing Crossfit workouts 6 weeks after the birth of my 4th child (I'm an eejit!) and you are absolutely right it can be reversed. The outcomes from Google search are utterly awful but they are wrong! I've had my 5th and last child 6 weeks ago with no problems, but I'll be leaving it a good 6 months before going back to work this time :)

Bri has some fantastic gentle exercise regimes that will complete reverse prolapse within weeks, you just need to be a bit more aware careful afterwards so not to undo all of the good work. I can't remember the exact videos but it involved propping your hips up with a cussion or yoga block, bear with me I will see if I can find them.

This was sooooooo helpful! I am almost five weeks postpartum and I felt the heaviness right away after giving birth. I, too, did a self examination 😉 and felt certain I had bladder prolapse. When I finally got in to see an OB, he told me I was fine! I'm so encouraged by your story. Thank you for sharing. Do you have the routine that you used for your prolapse on a video? I'm currently seeing a women's health PT and getting ready to do a session to learn the hypopressive technique so I hope between those things and the natural postpartum recovery period to be back to normal life soon! I'm very active and discovering this has been so scary. Wondering if I will ever be the same, but stories like yours give me so much hope, so thank you! This is so encouraging. I'm 7 weeks postpartum with my third baby and developed a stage 2 cystocele. Oddly enough, my pt said I had a stage 2 uterine prolapse 2 years after my second and now it's reversed (I did lots of pelvic floor work, but mostly to fix sciatica and back pain)! I'm sure I was in wayyy worse shape postpartum with my first and overdid it a ton those first 3 months or so before I saw a pelvic floor pt (plus had a forceps delivery, third degree tear, and episiotomy 😬). Anyway, I think with each baby I've gone through feeling fearful and hopeless, but getting the right help from the right people and committing to the work has been helpful in the past, and I'm grateful for all your other resources to help!

Thanks a lot for sharing this. I had the same experience: felt perfect after delivery and was too eager to fulfill my mother obligations so I didn't rest well as I should. In addition, my OB didn't do a good job warning me about any possible postpartum problems like this -- I didn't know that I'm at a higher risk of prolapse after a forceps delivery, or simply at risk of prolapse at this young age. I didn't have the knowledge about why prolapse may develop and I was really frustrated believing it'll be a lifelong problem. I felt my OB was too optimistic about it and brushed it off as a problem too common or minor. Now I'm eager to learn how to exercise and improve our conditions with prolapse. hoping to reverse the condition as you did soooooon! Please share more!!
OMG, Yessssssss! This is what has happened to me in the past and I feel like this again now :( I have had so many episodes with straining from constipation and I think that's what caused it the first time, I noticed my vaginal insides did not feel the same as before and I felt looser like more open or something and I thought ok, this doesn't feel normal as before, and I had these air bubbles coming out I think from my vaginal opening deep inside and things just definitely Did NOT feel the same. So I went to all these different doctors with them telling me that I was fine but I Did NOT feel fine or the same as I remember before and I was very very depressed about this because I was paying a lot of attention to it and wondering why I was feeling that different odd way
I'm not sure if it was a prolapse, all I knew was that I didn't feel the same in that area and it felt looser like a sense of something feeling like it may fall out, but it was just this more open like feeling in my introitus I believe and the first time I must have reversed it because there was this sharp pain that I kept getting that made me jump and it instantly made me clench my muscles like all day long, then out of nowhere overtime I started feeling normal again
Now that feeling is back again and I don't know if it comes from being sexually active or from alot of repetitive constipation straining or maybe both even, I just know the feeling doesn't feel normal like before, before I felt tight in both the vaginal and anal area now it feels different in both areas, it feels more like kind of a pulling or dragging sensation of looseness kind of. Was wondering femfusion, did you have somewhat of that same feeling with the air bubbles and looser open like feeling in the vaginal region??
I've been sooooooooo depressed because I feel like I won't ever feel the same Normal feeling again, and I've been trying to do kegels but it kind of seems like it's not working as effectively, could this mean that my muscles are strained and weak and stretched?

When a woman lays on her back, an gets a vinaga prolaspse exam by a doc., the inside organs fall back into place. You have to be up right so doc.can see the small bladder perturing out side your private area.

I am a physiologist and physical therapist. There's a lot of hype about what can be achieved by core and pelvic floor exercise for POP.
It is much more important to achieve a healthy body weight with a BMI of 24 or under.
Excess abdominal organ and adipose weight in the abdomen and pelvic cavity contribute more to prolapse than weak pelvic floor muscles. It's a simple matter of physics that is lost in this day of health professionals trying to make a living out of consultations and 3 mth exercise programs.
As a physiologist who has done many cadaver and MRI studies, I can confirm excess abdominal weight pressing down stretches the ligaments and peritoneum above the pelvic organs (rectum, vagina/uterus, bladder). This leads to one organ leaning against another, and eventually prolapsing.
A firm pelvic floor will help with incontinence, and external prolapse, but not the originating causes.
So to stop the feeling of fullness, keep losing abdiminal fat until you get your weight healthy. Unfortunately, American culture has been deluded into thinking being overweight is normal and healthy. POP is one of the outcomes.
Pelvic floor and core exercises tend not to improve things unless one is also working towards healthy bodyweight.
Anyone who thinks I am wrong, I challenge you to ask your midwife or doctor or physical therapist to name the supporting ligaments for each of the four pelvic organs, and which are most important in preventing them from prolapsing. I've never met anyone who masters the physics and anatomy of this subject adequately.
You make a good point about body weight and where the weight is carried. The purpose of this video was primarily to give people hope and let them know that they're not alone.
Thank you for your story, mine is similar but I am not a runner and have no idea why it happened. I did go to a doctor who told me it was my bladder, but I have some doubts so I have appointments this week to see my family doctor and my OB/GYN that I had at the hospital. I freaked out when I found mine in the shower and went to the ER thinking it was an infection. Glad to hear it MAY be possible to correct it with out surgery.

I too have a something I can see with a mirror, but not once has my Dr said anything ☹️ I’m 56 yrs old and have had 4 babies. Always active during and after every pregnancy, but in my early 40’s stopped exercising and gained 50 lbs. With lack of movement and the weight I was experiencing bladder problems beyond a cough or laugh. I found rowing classes... water rowers... and started the journey of weight loss. Rowing is intense like running , if you push hard enough, with those alone my bladder became less of a problem only during coughing / laughing. I’m two days in to your camp and I’m hopeful to have change to my body even though I’m much older and have had 3 more children then you. Thank you for the help you are sending out to us women who need more information than we are getting from our health providers.

I am so excited to find you here. My story is long so will explain it in short. Partial hysterectomy at the age of 46 in 2015 which caused me to go into surgical menopause, 4 days after removing my uterus and much scar tissue I went septic and needed bladder surgery from being nicked in two places. I had 3 weeks of self catheterizing. Did HRT for about 2 yrs. Got too expensive and only seemed to help minimally so I stopped in 2017.
Now during this pandemic, I think I have a bladder prolapse. I can see my urethra. It's not hanging out but it feels like when you have a tampon in half way. Probably a stage 2 but I have not had a proper diagnosis yet.
Not all days does it feel like that but it feels uncomfortable and some days painful. My husband was laid off due to covid-19 on March 20 . We had to buy cheap private insurance so I am trying to figure all of this out and how to take care of this with lifestyle changes, kegels, and proper exercise until he gets a job. Then I can go see my OBGYN in hopes to get PT with a specialist.
I started all of this a week ago and I have been so discouraged and frustrated.
Like I already mentioned,I think it's either a stage 2 or 3. I thinks it's a stage 2 because when I stand nothing sticks out. Since I have not been diagnosed yet so all I have to go by currently is the internet which is kind of scary. 😬

@@shelleythomson1002 I am sorry you feel like you do. Its devastating. I finally went to a urogynocologist and found out I have a vaginal prolapse due to atrophy. The ligaments tore. I was prescribed a estradiol vaginal cream which has helped with my symptoms. I also finally got a pessary. I wore it yesterday so I could workout and do other activities. At the end of the day I still did not hurt so the pessary helps me to do activities but I dont wear it all day long.
So I am doing better but dont want to live my life like this. I am now waiting to have surgery after my husband's new health insurance kicks in August 1st.

I have bladder and bowel prolapse, it’s so uncomfortable isn’t it, only had it since sunday that bad feeling I am already over it. What about having a bowel movement? I have some trouble relaxing for fear of making my bladder prolapse worse or aggravated.
Yes very important to not be constipated ..also get a stool to put u in a good position when going!
I was totally unaware of this. And about a year ago I felt like my uterus was dropping and like you said was coming out and felt a discomfort. My mother when I was young did kagels that I could remember. So when this happened a year ago. The only thing I could think to do was kagel. So when I did I could feel my uterus going back up into place and I could actually feel the kagel helping that previous weakness become slowly better just by kagelling.

It took me 3 time in less than a week for them.to discover my uterine prolapse. My regular doctor told me today. The gynecologist told me it was just vaginal tissue, the ER did an ultrasound and pelvic exam the didn't find anything. Smh

The best exam is to sit on a toilet and bear down. A long handled mirror can be put behind you to show the prolapse. It can also be detected by laying on one's side and pushing out or bearing down. A urogynecologist or a colorectal surgeon is the best type of doctor to go to for this to be diagnosed. Has anyone used this for complete rectal prolapse?

Thank you, and YES - I agree. This info needs to be shared to girls BEFORE they start having babies... So much could be prevented. Even if they're not fully "there" or interested (there are so many other things that teens are thinking about), at least the initial seed could be planted.
I just came across your video even though it is a few years old I am 51 and just been diagnosed with cystocele and rectocele I am in my second week of dieting and trying pelvic floor exercises still really don’t have too much relief especially around my backside is usually worse at night very uncomfortable sitting down feels more like huge hemorrhoids but I know that’s not it it’s taking a toll on my intimate life with my husband and he does not understand I am hoping to avoid this nasty surgery I am seeing a specialist in July it is probably I would say 3rd degree I wonder if I can fix this without surgery
I’m two years postpartum and have just developed a prolapse. I am unable to get an appointment with my doctor for a few more weeks and I’ve become obsessed with this scary situation. I have so many questions!! (Will I be able to get pregnant as we’ve been trying? Can I carry a normal pregnancy? Etc)

I believe I have a bladder prolapse. I am 68, a retired nurse, and recently lostv35 lbs. With another 30 to go. I have that pouch that women develop due to obesity. I am having a slow start to urination, then have to strain down to empty my bladder. It's very frustrating. I plan to research this and see if I can improve the problem. I may have to see a surgeon to get this resolved. I have had dystasis of the recti muscles with my last pregnancy (49 years ago). Thanks for sharing.

This is me! I went to 15doctors for my problem but all of them said that nothing is wrong with me. I’m so disappointed coz I’m on pain at all time. Now i have to believe in me that i have uterine prolapse which effect on my urine infection every month!

You inspire me a lot, you are a blessing for all us! Now that you fixed your prolapse, do you do something to give “maintenance” to prevent the problem from coming back ? Like do you still doing kegels or the lift series?
Thank you Daniela! I work out every day (here's my schedule: ruclips.net/video/VYwSvWhwTtA/видео.html), I focus on maintaining great posture and moving around a LOT throughout the day (when I sit too much, it's easy to slouch!), and I always keep the body mechanics/lifestyle tips from "Lift" in mind (i.e. exhale with exertion, proper lifting, etc.). It's a "forever" lifestyle... All of these little daily habits add up to maintain the progress!
HINT: I cant help but think the food we eat/drink is a major player in the elasticity firmness of our internal tissues. if we eat an inflammatory diet ie wheat, sugar, alcohol, seed oils, coffee, all that damages the body, inflames the tissues, weakens them, and thats why we put ourselves at risk for this issue. birthing or lifting or athletics spearhead the incident but the internal tissues have been damaged/weakened for years prior to finding out.

I'm male of 27 yol and 4 years ago I started to feel a "heavy ball" in my anus and after seeing 3 different doctors without a diagnosis (one even suggested that I couldn't have something serious just because I was young)
I abandoned my quest until 3 months ago (november 2018) because my patology became VERY obvious, Literally my rectum is outside when I go the bathroom and push ,so I taked a Picture And showed it to my doctor (she's a surgeon, and coloproctologyst specialist)
inmmediately she said I had a rectal prolapse. And since that I had a sidmoidoscopy and a pelvic tomography (both confirmed the diagnosis)
The thing is I have a congenetic weakness in my pelvic floor which derived in the rectal prolapse.
I'll have my surgery next week (is rectopexy plus redundant sigmoides resection)
My guess is that I'll have to do kegel and biofeedback excercizes for my rehabilitation post surgery.
These four years were horrible for me, a prolapse is something that decrease your life quality by a lot, but by having my surgery next week I learned that anything is possible and there's hope!
Paul, I'm so sorry you're going through this! Glad you have a diagnosis and I'm sending you best wishes for a speedy recovery post-surgery. You might consider seeking out a women's health physical therapist / pelvic floor phyio. When I was in clinical practice, I had several male clients.

Hi i just found out i have a prolapsed bladder. Doctor said it was very mild and thought with exercise it would help. Your story interested me bcuz you mention a pop when you thought your bladder prolapsed. Two years ago i was driving myself to the urgent care for a bad UTI when all of a sudden i felt a rush of warm sensation down my pelvic area that i have never felt in my life. Doc never checked me and only said it was a UTI. I now think that this was my bladder prolapsing? A few days ago, I went to the urgent care bcuZ I noticed a slight bulge inside my vaginal opening and also bcuZ I had another UTI sensation. Well, turns out i had bacterial vaginosis and a mild UTI along with a slight prolapsed bladder. In your video you did not mention if you got recurring UTIs. Did you ever get UTIs with your prolapse? Anyone? Thank you.
For some individuals, UTIs can be associated with prolapse. I recommend seeking a consultation with a women's health physical therapist to help you with your mild prolapse! Good luck

Mina O yes, prolapse causes uti and yeast infections or bacterial vaginosis, to answer your question with complete certainty the answer is yes. My aunt had prolapse and well reoccurring infections. So yes
@Victorious Spirit because when the uterus prolapses the vaginal canal can not breath, or properly cleanse itself, it was creating pocketing of closed off sections of skin and you know how bacteria and yeast just LOVE to thrive in warm moist places with little to no air. Anyway, the uti is from the prolapse of the bladder, because you can not feel empty completely the pee that remains starts to generate bacteria, and there for causes UTI You can reverse this, but you have to really dedicate to the exercises and look up vaginal lifting, because in order to get the uterus high and strong that is what your going to have to measure up to get bladder control as well, countless women over the age of 50 have done this and have come out running lol literally! no leaking! praise God.
So strange trying to look at ourselves. Challenging! I examined myself laying and squatting and could see the bulge, although I must say everything looked quite strange squatting and I'm not sure how it's supposed to look. 😂 Had another appointment, with a different physiotherapist, today and she examined me laying...I voiced how previous health care providers had checked me laying and standing would be better, but she still checked me laying. I do feel like it was a more thorough examination than the first time. She couldn't see the bulge, but I can feel it, even when laying down, so not sure why she couldn't see it. As I commented on another one of your videos she also has changed the diagnosis which was given to me by numerous people last year, it wouldn't be my bladder, it would be my rectum that has prolapsed. She asked me to bear down and couldn't see anything in my vagina, however with the anal examination she was able to push up against my vaginal wall and that bulged. 😕 She's recommended kegel like exercises, which was what the first one had recommended and I'd felt a worsening of the symptoms, I am nervous to try the regimen. I also have trouble locating my muscles. I feel like my buttocks are easily clenched. Am trying to relax them more, but find that when I try to contract inside, the outside does too. Does that make sense? 🙈

Thank you so much! I developed my bladder prolapse at around 14 weeks pregnant. This gave me so much hope. Although now I'm still only 17 weeks and afraid of getting pregnant ever again lol. I'm hoping I can correct it and that it won't get worse after birth. That's my biggest fear :(

What did the drs suggest for you? Im 25 weeks pregnant with baby #4 and im not sure what i can do. Ive talked to 2 different doctors now i just need 1 of them to officially diagnose me. They said im just feeling things earlier and more because its number 4. But after i found a buldge today, i will not let it slip by!

QUESTION ::: Why are women who have had forceps deliveries at a higher risk for prolapse? And thanks so much for sharing this! I too am scared of prolapse, especially because I am more at risk (have had 3 babies, have D.R. and a weak pelvic floor due to a recent forceps delivery).
You're welcome! Per your question, forceps delivery can be disruptive to the pelvic floor muscles and connective tissues which may increase risk of prolapse down the road. I wish you all the best!

Dr. Bri, what grade prolapse did you have? You say it reversed. What did it reverse to? Completely gone?
I had a mild grade 1-2 prolapse. At this point, it's not noticeable and it doesn't bother me... So I consider it to be reversed! I look to quality of life, more than grade/stage.

Thanks so much for your informative video and story! I have just been diagnosed with uterine/cystocele prolapse and I had never heard of this before! I'm only 42 and this is devastating news especially since I am very active and thought I was in great shape:( Hiking and climbing mountains is a favorite activity of our whole family! (is there any hope to continue doing this?) I had my babies 20 years ago and now I'm paying for not doing Kegels ,etc..all these years. I wish there was more awareness out there about this problem! I do not want to have surgery if at all possible. I'm ready to start working with a women's health therapist and hope I can fix or at least reverse the prolapse somewhat with exercises. I'm probably around stage 3 and the doctor said my uterus is still pretty firm which gives me a little hope. I want to start your lift exercises. I've been watching your videos because I too suspect a prolapse even after being cleared by doctor after having baby. Things felt different. And I could feel bulging in the vaginal canal. FAST forward 3 years later and I am now pregnant and have noticed it is still there which at the time of being told I was fine I had just chalked it up to this must be the aftermath and the new normal. So I ignored it. But I think the baby, 30 weeks now, may be putting pressure and making it worse? I feel pressure when standing and walking and when showering I can feel the "bulge". Are the exercises safe and even possible to do while pregnant to help strengthen the pelvic floor so that, if nothing else, prevent more damage during birth? Thanks for putting this info out there..
Since you're in your third trimester, I recommend keeping your exercises very gentle (don't dive into anything too intense at this time). You might benefit from my "Lift Week One" video, as it focuses on relaxing/releasing the pelvic floor (very important for pregnancy) and very gently strengthening. This happened to me I had just had my daughter and I heard something snap and something was blocking my vaginal area I cried I did pelvic floor and kegels but my vagina is never the same again it makes me super sad

I have stage 3 bladder prolapse. I wish I had known it could be reversed at the earlier stage. The only advise my gynecologist gave me on the initial exam was to allow her to tack it up before it progressed. But I didn’t because of the horror stories and regrets of women that had the surgery. Plus it has a high failure rate. Most days I don’t think about it and tolerate it well, bit on the days when I am tired and on my feet a lot, it drives me crazy. Is there anything I can do at this point to strengthen the pelvic floor to hold it up better?
