I think Amber knowing that mark was a superhero is probably the most roundly criticized part of the show, especially because everyone around Mark is telling him that he was the one in the wrong here. And I think my problem isn't Amber knowing and still being mad at him; I think my issue is that both Eve and William side with Amber. I think it would have gone over better if one of them (probably Eve) just said, "Yeah. You're a superhero. I don't know what she was expecting." And it would work because Eve was the one telling him that dating a normal person when you're a superhero is really complicated. Some people might say it had to be that way so she could give him the motivation to investigate the laser beam thing with a stern talking-to, but she can both be on his side with Amber, but stern about him getting over it and keeping the bigger picture in mind. She just got done cutting out the toxic people in her life while also doing her superhero thing independently, so I don't see why she couldn't encourage Mark to do the same thing. At the end of the day there were always hints that they weren't a good couple between Mark's responsibilities, and Amber's expectations of him as her boyfriend. And that's a very true to life scenario - not everyone is meant for the person they end up dating for a while. So I don't have a problem with Amber being like this, just how the story treats their breakup.
You know whats funny to me 1. MAPLE AND ARI (claps) Women THAT GET IT 2. Secret Identities are SECRET for a reason 3. Mark ISNT Nolan (think about that) 4. Amber if you knew, why you’re uoset about him saving lives then insulting him.
It's like Eve said a couple episodes ago. Once you tell somebody your secret identity, there's no going back. That is life-changing information that you are putting in someone else's hands, not knowing what they will do with it.
Immortal never really dies he always comes back hence his name Invincible is the character that goes through most in the comics and never really parishes no matter how bad he gets hurt that’s why his name is invincible
What will blow your mind is that, after Donald blows the house up, omni-man opens his fist and the shards of Donald's spine fall out of it. Then he flys off.
Okay lets break it down as the show has portrayed it. Using only information from the show and comics. Amber was angry Mark wasn't spending enough time with her because he was off saving people's lives. She was also angry he didn't tell her his secret identity-that she figured out for herself but never mentioned or hinted that she knew. Then got mad at him for prioritizing saving countless people's lives over getting to their dates on time. Never mind the fact that he was going out of his way to get gifts or trying to do other thoughtful things for her to make up for it as she herself said. Or that he was almost killed a few days ago, and was in the hospital for around 6 days. Amber had every right to be mad that he was late when she didn't know he was a superhero, but as soon as she figured it out, and still wanted to get mad at him for not being on time, she lost any sympathy she had from me. Keeping his secret doesn't mean he doesn't trust you, that's not the reason superheroes keep their identities a secret from their loved ones most of the time, it's just a way to try to keep them a little bit safer(both you and the superhero). And probably a fear of rejection. So by her logic, him keeping information that could put her in danger a secret, all the while making sure to buy her nice gifts, leave notes, and doing his best to maintain their relationship and balance a life he's still new to makes him an asshole- because he wasn't ready to tell her yet -but her keeping it a secret that she knew is fine, even though the more responsible thing to do would be to just tell Mark " Hey, I know you're Invincible let's talk about how it's affecting our relationship." That's a five-month relationship at most, and he's been a hero for at most 9 months at this point(I think). She thinks he should be ready to tell her his biggest secret and that he's stringing her along just because he likes her but isn't ready to give up his biggest secret? He wanted to make it to all those dates, it's not his fault villains were attacking. He can't plan for stuff like that. He didn't even tell his best friend, whom he's known for a lot longer, and he was lying to him for just as long. He saw William less than he saw Amber, and William understood just fine. Sure, he's not romantically involved with Mark, but they're still close. I can understand her being mad at being lied to *if* she wasn't also lying through omission about knowing he's Invincible. But she knew for weeks that he was putting his life on the line to protect her and other people, and was still mad that he disappeared to save William and made a point to belittle him publicly for it. Even though she knew and saw that it was Mark getting his ass kicked by the cyborg while he was protecting everyone there. I don't think Amber can handle a relationship with a hero, but the comics handled the relationship better. In the comics, she thought he was involved with drugs, and that's why he was making bad excuses and missing dates. She realized the truth after talking with some friends about him, and they consummated their relationship. Her reasoning that he's making her feel stupid and unimportant kinda goes out the window when he literally does everything he can to keep you happy, and all you do is make crappy jokes and complain, the stupid thing is especially dumb since she knows he's a superhero and that the best superhero team on the planet was murdered a few months ago, why wouldn't he be cautious about who he tells? You called him out on his excuses for being late and he bought you an $800 gift to make up for one missed date. How are you feeling stupid or unimportant? Everything is already about you, and your clearly smart enough to figure out his secret identity. Eve showed that she wanted to start a relationship with Mark, but when she saw that he was with Amber, she backed off and even tried to help them stay together. That's someone Mark could realistically have a relationship with, without all the drama that comes with dating a regular person. Of course there's also the possibility she was lying to try to seem smart, but most of it still applies because she'll have realized he was doing the same stuff she's so proud of doing herself, helping people.
I will forever mention this. Why would Nolan reveal himself to William? As far as he knows, William doesn’t know that Mark is Invincible, therefore wouldn’t know that Nolan was Omni Man. I think about this every time I watch this episode.
Because at this point, I think Nolan is aware that the jig is up. He is way past caring about secret identities at this point. The only thing that was of concern to him is making sure that he could keep his family together and at the same time go about his mission.
So if anyone ever had any doubts about whether Omni-Man belongs or even deserves to be in a MK game, take a look ladies and gents. lol. This man fits RIGHT IN. lol I mean splitting a dude in half and having his torso slide across the kitchen counter??? If that's not a Fatality, then what is?? lol
@@Diegesis The thing is that Omni-Man does quite a few things that are FATALITY worthy. Backhanding the Immortal's head right off Slamming Darkwing onto the floor and splattering his brains and intestines. Crushing a pilot's head with just a single hand. Crushing Donald's spine. Dude was MADE for MK. LOL. I mean Omni-Man is exactly what Superman would be if he had zero connection to humanity and was out to conquer.
We have to remember finding out that your boyfriend who’s always canceling on you, disappears randomly, and constantly fumbles for a response why, is a superhero . You know, and neither of you say anything. What’s happening during the fight?
Amber is the embodiment of terrible communication. Like if she knew weeks ago, why not talk to him about it to solve it, work it out so Mark can feel better and save the world with a clear head, and Amber can stop being insufferable? To me it just doesn't make sense.
I can only assume that Amber was waiting for Mark to trust her with this information. But the thing is, Mark did not even tell his own best friend. And seemingly had no immediate plans to do so with anyone outside of the superhero community.
How DARE that misogynist pig value the lives of all his family over telling the truth to his girlfriend of a month or two. He clearly needs to study more social justice.
Omg I had one of those tvs that would randomly go fuzzy and you would have to slap the shit out of it to make it work. And then being a kid with insomnia watching tv at night and then having to throw hands with your 20inch at 2am. Not the bee's knees.
If Amber knew then basically just waited for Mark to mess up just so she could be mad. Why not just say something? Or just understand why someone might not reveal their secret identity? Feels toxic. Also the Immortal is Lincoln...
I love that Maple believes in the celebrates cloning themselves and the D.E.W.'s (Directed Energy Weapons)!! I never thought of that in connection with this show, but it's all right there for us to see. Nice job! 🙂
What's wrong with the color? Everything red and pink is grey. I even changed my tv settings and checked it out on my phone to make sure I'm not crazy. No one else sees the grey lips and Eve's half grey costume???
After looking back on this episode I think mark and amber were supposed to be in parrell to Debbie and Nolan’s declining relationship. But to be Frank if that was the case the writing failed it’s purpose.
So, before you guys see the reveal, I've had this sympathy for Nolan. But idk, killing those soldiers and Donald like that was really uncalled for. Could have just done what he had to do without murdering them. So it brings the question if he regrets his actions there a little bit? Because, at least to me, its obvious that he regrets killing his fellow superhero friends.
I don't know if that's how Viltrumite genetics work but if it was it would be a Dragon Ball Z rip off; getting stronger from fighting and taking damage is literally how Saiyans work lol.

You know whats funny to me
1. MAPLE AND ARI (claps) Women THAT GET IT
2. Secret Identities are SECRET for a reason
3. Mark ISNT Nolan (think about that)
4. Amber if you knew, why you’re uoset about him saving lives then insulting him.
It's like Eve said a couple episodes ago. Once you tell somebody your secret identity, there's no going back. That is life-changing information that you are putting in someone else's hands, not knowing what they will do with it.
The immortal was Lincoln
When you finish 1x8, be sure to watch the Atom Eve special before jumping into season 2.
Immortal never really dies he always comes back hence his name
Invincible is the character that goes through most in the comics and never really parishes no matter how bad he gets hurt that’s why his name is invincible
What will blow your mind is that, after Donald blows the house up, omni-man opens his fist and the shards of Donald's spine fall out of it. Then he flys off.
Immortal didn’t kill Lincoln. He was Lincoln’s body double.
20:15 Immortal WAS Lincoln
So by her logic, him keeping information that could put her in danger a secret, all the while making sure to buy her nice gifts, leave notes, and doing his best to maintain their relationship and balance a life he's still new to makes him an asshole- because he wasn't ready to tell her yet -but her keeping it a secret that she knew is fine, even though the more responsible thing to do would be to just tell Mark " Hey, I know you're Invincible let's talk about how it's affecting our relationship."
That's a five-month relationship at most, and he's been a hero for at most 9 months at this point(I think).
I've been watching for a lil while now and i gotta say Arianna is my fav, she always reacts the same way i do xD
Damn i didn't expect my comment from the video of last episode to make it in this one, thanks guys ❤
These last 2 episodes…HOT DAMN!!!
I love how Arianna subconsciously seems to be associating Viltrumites with Saiyans but doesn't quite seem aware of it.
20:16 No, they're saying he was Lincoln Arianna.
9:13 one thing forever can be said. Even Omni man knows that man had a spine
don’t forget about the Atom Eve special
I will forever mention this. Why would Nolan reveal himself to William? As far as he knows, William doesn’t know that Mark is Invincible, therefore wouldn’t know that Nolan was Omni Man. I think about this every time I watch this episode.
Because at this point, I think Nolan is aware that the jig is up. He is way past caring about secret identities at this point. The only thing that was of concern to him is making sure that he could keep his family together and at the same time go about his mission.
William opened the conversation with "omni m.. mr. grayson." so before omni man even spoke William admitted that he knew who he was.
@@SnowyWolborg agreed agreed
Amber is the true villain of Invincible!
That "direct energy weapon" is called a Casaba Howitzer, and its a type of nuke. The US had a plan to put 500 of those on a "battleship" in space.
YESSS! So excited for you to see the Finale!
Release episode 8!
Can't wait for the next episode. Love yalls reactions more than most others to the show
I've checked back everyday and it still hasn't released :(
So if anyone ever had any doubts about whether Omni-Man belongs or even deserves to be in a MK game, take a look ladies and gents. lol. This man fits RIGHT IN. lol I mean splitting a dude in half and having his torso slide across the kitchen counter??? If that's not a Fatality, then what is?? lol
that woulda been a funny fatality. omni man pushes you and magically a kitchen counter appears behind you lol
@@Diegesis The thing is that Omni-Man does quite a few things that are FATALITY worthy.
Backhanding the Immortal's head right off
Slamming Darkwing onto the floor and splattering his brains and intestines.
Not the bee's knees.
immortal didn't kill lincoln. he WAS lincoln
Maple knows what went down in Lahaina
I was like damn you and me watched very different versions of "This is Us" 😂😂😂😂
Haha
New follower here! I’m in LOVE with your personalities ❤. Can’t wait to see the last one. Your predictions have been on the nose af 😂
"It was Omni-Monnn" while dead serious got me rolling somehow
Donald weaved the shit out of Omni man ngl. Must be the machinery in him
bruh, she said DEW and I was just like, ok marry me please. lmao
If Amber knew then basically just waited for Mark to mess up just so she could be mad. Why not just say something? Or just understand why someone might not reveal their secret identity? Feels toxic.
Also the Immortal is Lincoln...
I can not wait till the next episode god damn!
Longbeachgriffey’s “when mark told Amber he was invincible” nails it perfectly.
Amber is insane
People thought Omni-man was Superman but he was actually a Saiyan
He makes Saiyans look like primitive apes.
Even the whole Viltrumite aspect of sending one person to conquer a world is Saiyan like
We need that episode eight reaction stat
I love that Maple believes in the celebrates cloning themselves and the D.E.W.'s (Directed Energy Weapons)!! I never thought of that in connection with this show, but it's all right there for us to see. Nice job! 🙂
Oooo they need to watch Young Frankenstein asap
The blood in the title card next episode🥶🥶🥶🥶
RIP Bobby Hill
You guys should react to blue eyed samurai
That is why they call it a backsplash @ 8:23
Immoral was Abraham Lincoln, can't wait for y'alls reaction to the finale
Since they didn't seem to get the satellite laser reference, they should watch Akira sometime
NEW SUB! Yall chill af
What's wrong with the color? Everything red and pink is grey. I even changed my tv settings and checked it out on my phone to make sure I'm not crazy. No one else sees the grey lips and Eve's half grey costume???
It's probably either a censor for all the blood so they don't get demonetized, or so they don't get a copyright strike.
It's to censor the blood
After looking back on this episode I think mark and amber were supposed to be in parrell to Debbie and Nolan’s declining relationship. But to be Frank if that was the case the writing failed it’s purpose.
why do people assume he was john wilkes booth
Cause we know honest Abe and he wasn't a superhero. Also would a bullet even hurt the immortal? He tanks at least some of omni man's shots
2:14 the chopped hand tho...
The Immortal Was not the one who killed Abraham Lincoln, The Immortal was Abraham Lincoln. At least in the Invincible universe.
Can't wait for the next episode
Wheres episode 8, maple arianna?
In the comics these zombies weren’t ready yet at this time and when they were, they were a lot weaker.
I'm glad they toned down Amber in the new season. She was really cunty this season.
How come everyone who sees the Lincoln bit thinks hes john wilks booth and not Lincoln? Ive met only one person who knew
Why does everyone think he's immortal Is "John Wilkes Booth" I know they look a like but look at Lincoln my man is smiling
How is Amber different than Rex trying to get Eve back, again?
Amber is terrible.
yeah, easily the weakest part of the show
@@Sig509they fix her at least new season
I really hope you guys would react to Arcane next , such a good series
And now yall get why no one likes amber..... Everyone realizes why in this episode right here xD
