You are correct. In fact, this is a plot point in the comic where Bulletproof starts being jealous of Invincible’s costume and wants it for himself.

@@matthewwakeman5382 Yeah, I haven't finished the entire series yet but I will say I find the set-up for Bulletproof's arc very intriguing and I guess the jealousy he has for Invincible's costume plays into its theme . . . I also like that he pokes fun over Black Sampson's name too which was pretty funny.
Karma Police by Radiohead. A song that captures the fact that it's about the loss of identity in a world full of hypocrisy in which you can get lost for a moment. Very fitting to the first episode of season 2 of Invincible. The fact that Mark never once stopped to get any credit for the acts of heroism he performed really stands out to me. He isn't trying to fix his reputation and prove to the general public he's not Omn-Man. He's trying to prove to *himself* that he's not his dad. He also likely feels he can't stay in one place because all they see is "Omni-Man's son". My favourite scene in season 2 episode 1.
24:47 Only one Angstrom Levy can make portal's between universe, so this incident only happened in that one universe and im pretty sure majority of the Angstrom Levy are dead because he grabbed all of them to that machine

Fun Fact: Robert Kirkman almost named Marks character Bulletproof instead of invincible, but changed it because he figured invincible was a better name. He then made bulletproof a separate character entirely.

His brother is loved more than him, he tries to cheat on his girlfriend with Eve and she rejects him, his power only works when he absorbs kinetic energy while Mark's powers are always available etc.
All of season 1 Amber wanted Mark to be transparent with her, and so now that he is, and she witnessed this major trauma in his and many other people's lives, she's super supportive. It's a change but not as dramatic when you think about it.
(aka: the writers decided it was better to write her more in form with her comic character part)

As someone similar, I love how upon Donald appearing and it making no sense, instead of just going "Huh, weird. Maybe that will get explained later.", the adhd kicks in and Arianna has the same stern, puzzled/thinking face for the next several minutes. Also, that's a good point: after seeing he can still pull in a bunch of Maulers, even when strapped to the chair, it looked like Angstrom had plenty of opportunities to portal Mark out of there at any of the many times he was knocked down.

Her wit is softened, she's a little more vulnerable, and she's more understanding of Mark going out to hero. I'd say this is a pretty reasonable personality shift given Mark was just at the center of a 9/11 scale catastrophe.
@@colemanroberts1102 It's a big 180, but yeah obviously because the writers responded to how the reaction was toward Amber at the end of S1. It's jarring, and while this is a change for the better, it's essentially such a forced retcon of the character. Probably the one weak string of the series.

I think I prefer the comic version just because Debbie and Amber had flaws and were actually a bit more realistic - Amber especially, comic Amber was so much more likable and relatable than TV Amber. Sandra Oh is killing it though so she was pitch perfect casting for the role.
Gotta feel bad for angstrom he had the capabilty to save so many domensions countless people but now all that was destroyed because of a misunderstanding and he spiraled into madness fuled by traumatic memories of so many other versions of himself were invincible is an unstopable sociopathic monster

To be fair in the comic Amber was super pissed at Mark too till he finally told her, i mean I'm not sure why they took it to a extreme like they did last season, but it was very close in how it played out there too. Also I can't help but smile seeing people noticing Donald is just here again.

The cracks might be meant to represent his naive ideals of superheroism. Mark would still want to be the good guy, but might compromise on the things that hold him back. Like, here he is fighting the Maulers with kid gloves, when he could probably kill them. Only time will tell.

27:59 After Nolan almost killed Mark in season 1 Amber was already like that though, when she returned to his house and was worried for him. I feel an experience like that (with Nolan and Mark) would definitely change Amber's outlook on their situation, like "Mark always being killed by his father and now needing emotional support" now is way more important than "Mark lied to me, so I'm gonna be angry with him", so those events shifted that dynamic quite a bit I'd say.
28:07 Regarding what I just mentioned it doesn't fell like they took too hard of a left with her. I feel like she would be SUPER selfish if she would still be mad at Mark for not telling her his secret sooner after all that he just went through (she was already quite supportive towards that in s2 e1). Against what Nolan did to him him, Mark not telling Amber his secret is like peanuts in comparison. Amber probably sees it that way too since she treats Mark way nicer after the big battle in season 1 episode 8. Season 2 Amber also behaves a bit closer to comic Amber so I am fine with that.

So just a reminder, Amber got pissy at Mark AFTER he revealed he was Invincible in show and AFTER he’d saved his friends life. A pretty weird reaction. Comic Amber upon being told Mark’s secret identity does not proceed to shit all over him pretending she knew all along she knew he was a superhero when. she never knew. The writers just did this for some reason because I guess they felt Amber wasn’t well rounded enough. All in all let’s not pretend you’re gonna miss her when Mark inevitably dumps her for Eve and don’t even pretend like that’s not what’s going to happen.

she dumped him for a dumb reason in my opinion and then went back to him when she saw how serious it is...he was keeping it from her specifically because he understood the stakes. i dont hate her but i do think its really dumb that mark took her back, so any investment in their relationship is not possible for me. frankly, their dialogue and voice acting comes off like two people trying to convince the other person how into them they are. terrible relationship and i cant wait for it to inevitably end
