  • 2006 Nissan 2.5 l front engine mount removal.
After removing this front engine mount I discovered that there are two small u-shaped pieces of metal welded on the motor side of the bracket which will not allow the crossmember portion of the motor mount which contains the rubber bushing to slide up and out. This portion of the motor mount can only be dropped down and out but with the front crossmember setting just below this cannot be done with the motor sitting down in its regular mounted position. If the motor was lifted upward a couple of inches this could possibly be achieved. I tried using a floor jack directly under the front section of the engine and was only able to get a small amount of movement from the engine which was not enough to drop the mount down through the bottom. I was able to put the two pieces together (the mount and engine bracket) then lower it down as one into the engine bay. It will take a little bit of twistg and turning to get it in position. One thing to note, out of the four bolts that mount the bracket to the engine there is one at the bottom that is slightly lower (or offset lower on the bracket) this one can be a little tough to get inserted into the hole due to the round bushing housing being so close. It may be better to put that bolt into the bracket first then trying to put the bracket up against the engine block. Good luck hope the video helps.
