I worked 6 years in pvt and from last 1.5 year working in Central Govt. Job. Yes there is very less creativity and competitiveness which i miss but at the same time you feel secure and stable so that you can take long term decision without thinking about ki job nahi rahi to kya hoga. Personally i will prefer business.

I have worked for MNC for a year, the pressure and workload in corporate is unbeatable, however, it depends on the job role you are on. Though, Lately I have realised that this corporate thing is not my thing, thus, resigned after working for a year. Decided, either it would be govt job or will start something my own.
If you have left MNC to prepare for any regular govt. job like SSC, Bank then it's not a great decision. ❌ If you have left MNC to prepare for some premier govt. jobs like in state PCS, asst. professor or any lvl 9/10 job then its a smart decision. ✅

I am 35 years old SDE and have a ctc of 45 LPA ( soon gonna be 50 LPA) and my big brother is a central government doctor(MBBS) and receives group A scale salary. He doesn't do any private practice or side hustle as it is illegal. He earns much lesser than me, but i really envy the amount of respect, stability, and extra perks that he enjoys. He goes to work at 8am and comes home by 5 pm, he enjoys with his friends and family, whereas i am stuck with either office work or upskilling myself on udemy, to save my job. He also had the option to enter corporate hospitals and do private practice, but he chose not to (Which was the best decision of his life, according to him). I absolutely love my work, but as i am growing old, this corporate jungle is taking a toll on me..

I've seen IIM IIT graduates earning in lacs leaving private job just for a post in SSC CGL (not even a Group A job). Money of course is a motivating factor but in private jobs you won't get the sense of freedom and happiness. It always a toxic culture in private job and you have to always upgrade yourself. Like after every 1-2 years you've to go find another job for better pay.
They are just fooling you or they are special students. I've never seen anyone with decent record in IIT IIM, ever going for anything less than PSC. Most of them try to go abroad. A decent graduate from these colleges must have package of more than 1.5 Cr after experience of 10 years. With proper planning, after 10 -15 years of work, their RoI (return on investments) should be more than the salary of a SSC job.
Some of them doesn't realise that only because their parents were in government job, there are living this lavish lifestyle and a can think of private job. So a middle class person can understand the importance of a government job.

During and After corona pandemic, gov didnt pay any bills . Last 3 years was a nightmare to my family. No bills , need to pay bank interest for the over draft my father took. During the corona my father suffered from chronic kidney disease ( ckd) and was hospitalized. Really last 3 years we suffered like a hell Bank emis ,medical bills and groceries.. These things made me to prepare for govt job. Now I'm gazetted officer in Telangana.

Being someone who worked in corporate sector for over a decade and currently working in government job in a respectful post I know the good and bad of both the worlds. In private you have high pay , growth potential and flashy lifestyle. In government job you have peace of mind and a sense of security plus the feeling that you are working for those millions of people who are marginalised and need our support and help

I want to live my life smoothly without jerks and giving services to poor peoples of my country which gives much pleasure, happy than becoming rich that's why i chose to settle as a servent of india.
I was previously working in IBM which i had bagged as a campus placement back in 2012 with a starting monghly salary of Rs 38k in hand. now i work in the state admistrative service cadre group A and the amount of workload here is simply unmatched! (Easily 10-11 hours daily, no concept of weekends) But the good thing that i enjoy is the exposure to different spectrum of problems/people/verticals (education/health/agriculture etc) which is impossible in any other job except IAS and state civil service. So i feel a mental freedom that there will never be boredom or a bad situation you will be stuck in forever, you just wait for the next transfer. The downside is that even the good things wont last (transfer) and of course, the peanut salary (starting inhand Rs 60k + driver + car + quarter + other allowances and perks- less imo for the premier service of the state)

If you belong to general category in govt jobs u can try and prepare hard for indian armed forces like CDS, AFCAT but within age limit . I as an engineering graduate tried one's and got rejected in SSB indian navy where age limit is 23. Thats why i am going to private sector. But s in armed forces exams there are no reservations or anything. If a person is capable physically and mentally they can try. "Remember govt or private u should be able to enjoy your work ". I have worked for MNC for a year, the pressure and workload in corporate is unbeatable, however, it depends on the job role you are on. Though, Lately I have realised that this corporate thing is not my thing, thus, resigned after working for a year. Decided, either it would be govt job or will start something my own.
If you have left MNC to prepare for any regular govt. job like SSC, Bank then it's not a great decision. ❌

Can't generalize it bro! Even private organizations have cons. There is stress, competition, fear of loosing job, constant need to improve. But you can take fancy holiday, buy that car and nice house and if you play your cards well, you can retire by 45. Both Side must be clearly understood and above all you should know yourself to take that decision.

I am 35 years old SDE and have a ctc of 45 LPA ( soon gonna be 50 LPA) and my big brother is a central government doctor(MBBS) and receives group A scale salary.
He doesn't do any private practice or side hustle as it is illegal. He earns much lesser than me, but i really envy the amount of respect, stability, and extra perks that he enjoys. He goes to work at 8am and comes home by 5 pm, he enjoys with his friends and family, whereas i am stuck with either office work or upskilling myself on udemy, to save my job.
He also had the option to enter corporate hospitals and do private practice, but he chose not to (Which was the best decision of his life, according to him).
I absolutely love my work, but as i am growing old, this corporate jungle is taking a toll on me..

I've seen IIM IIT graduates earning in lacs leaving private job just for a post in SSC CGL (not even a Group A job). Money of course is a motivating factor but in private jobs you won't get the sense of freedom and happiness. It always a toxic culture in private job and you have to always upgrade yourself. Like after every 1-2 years you've to go find another job for better pay.

They are just fooling you or they are special students. I've never seen anyone with decent record in IIT IIM, ever going for anything less than PSC. Most of them try to go abroad. A decent graduate from these colleges must have package of more than 1.5 Cr after experience of 10 years. With proper planning, after 10 -15 years of work, their RoI (return on investments) should be more than the salary of a SSC job.

During and After corona pandemic, gov didnt pay any bills . Last 3 years was a nightmare to my family. No bills , need to pay bank interest for the over draft my father took. During the corona my father suffered from chronic kidney disease ( ckd) and was hospitalized. Really last 3 years we suffered like a hell

I was previously working in IBM which i had bagged as a campus placement back in 2012 with a starting monghly salary of Rs 38k in hand.
now i work in the state admistrative service cadre group A and the amount of workload here is simply unmatched! (Easily 10-11 hours daily, no concept of weekends)
But the good thing that i enjoy is the exposure to different spectrum of problems/people/verticals (education/health/agriculture etc) which is impossible in any other job except IAS and state civil service. So i feel a mental freedom that there will never be boredom or a bad situation you will be stuck in forever, you just wait for the next transfer. The downside is that even the good things wont last (transfer) and of course, the peanut salary (starting inhand Rs 60k + driver + car + quarter + other allowances and perks- less imo for the premier service of the state)

If you belong to general category in govt jobs u can try and prepare hard for indian armed forces like CDS, AFCAT but within age limit . I as an engineering graduate tried one's and got rejected in SSB indian navy where age limit is 23. Thats why i am going to private sector. But s in armed forces exams there are no reservations or anything. If a person is capable physically and mentally they can try. "Remember govt or private u should be able to enjoy your work ". All the best.

You will get good salary in private job but do you know what a government servant will get after getting promotion from lower post to higher post? Government vehicle and driver,power,status, respect. When private employees reach 50 years they will still be treated like normal people but a government employee will enjoy d power n respect. For people who clear upsc sky is the limit
