Amit ji, there's also an issue, these prejudiced govt employees are also jealous of businessmen, doctors, lawyers, and private employees who make more money than them. They try to misuse their authority to harass these people. What's the solution?
@ClrityForYouth Sir ji Mostly Engineers Sarkari Nokri ki taraf isiliye bhag rahe hain kyun ki Private mai bhi nokri nahi hai. Aur Startups Chalana sabke bas ki bat nhi. Plus Jo log startups bhi chala rahe hain vo Na Salary dete hain na experience certificates na koi learning. bas apne fayde ke according kaam niklwate hain aur 6 month 1 saal me sab ko nikal rahe hain. ese mai koi MNC bhi resume select nahi karti. toh dekhte hi dekhte ek engineer ka kam se kam 3-4 saal ka gap toh ese hi ho jata hai. toh aap hi bataiye ki hum engineers kha jayen. aur ab to age limit bhi ghata di hai Gov ne. toh dhire dhire sarkar aur pvt dono hi raste band ho rahe hain. tab hum kya karen?
Agar aap IIT NIT se nhi hain toh Placement milna bhut mushkil hai. tab akhir me ek hi umeed bachti hai engineers ke liye Sarkari Nokri ka exam. usme bhi vacancy nhi hain itni aur age limit bhi kam ho gai hai. tho hum log ab karen toh kya karen?
Grass always appears greener at the other end. Private job people like me regret for not having a government job whereas my friends who are in government jobs regret for not being in private jobs. That's life.
Finally someone with same view point as well. Govt and pvt dono ke pros and cons h. The fact that most people do not have rigid views on their career later seems to regret their choices. However If you grab good opportunity you should go for it.
Its time we stop comparing jobs and start working with whatever job we get. India me yehi problem hai, job ko chota bada karte rahenge karenge kuch bhi nahi, bas complain karte rahenge. Kyuki chota kam karne se unki ego hurt hoti hai, samaj unhe nicha dikhayengi.
I left government job(SSC CGL) after 5 years and switched to private sector. Though my job was non transferable but there was less growth and less learning. Salary hike was minimal and inflation is more than than DA and annual increment combined . Promotions were delayed due to court cases. My batchmates in private sector were earning 3 times 4 times more than me after 5 years. Now I am in private sector, earning more, and learning new things. Will get faster promotions here. Have the option to switch to another company job if I want. If you earn more you can afford better healthcare and medical policy and you don't have to wait for hours in government dispensaries. India will grow and develop a lot in coming years. Which sector will benefit from it? Private. I applied this simple logic. Thanks to God my step proved right.
Can we connect on eamil i am working In IT same as you but thinking of giving civil services . It would be great to hear perspective from you from another side.
Your advice for not opting for government jobs is relevant only for IITs, IIM, CAs, guys only. But for rest of the youth the salary level in private sectors are not even 50 percent of the government salaries. Hence it might be risky for ordinary graduate or post graduate to implement your advice.
I am government employee group A. Your observation is absolutely correct. 9 years of my job is left. Day by day government job is getting tough. Public dealing is very difficult now a days. So many channels for public grievances. Many times people complain just to settle their personal score with government servant.
Another side of life that this gentleman didn't spoke : 0. SLAVES ARE Always MORE IN NUMBER THAN MASTER.. Going into private sector is good for money but @ cost of becoming slave and below mentioned Practical things 1. Life in private sector is full of deadlines specially in IT sector . One deadline miss is equivalent to getting bashed in full assembly like a school boy. 2. Life long study..... accept the fact that u cannot learn new technology at 35 yrs of age.. 3. No social identification, u will mostly settle down in a city like banglore, where everyone is doing the same thing. 4. Job bacomes like a school where manager is equivalent to class teacher/ Principal who is ready to bash u all the time. 5. If u get fired at age of 35 , u will be surrounded by lot of responsibility and it will be really difficult to match the living standards that u have set for ur family... 6. If u r a male... happily or unhappily u have to make ur wife work whole life in oder to run the house... Specially in cities like Banglore and this will impact raising of kids. 7. Getting leaves are very very difficult...M not saying for 1-2 days.. this is for 15- 30 days 2-3 times in a year... I dare any private employee to take more than 15 days in a year... 16th day they will b kicked out 😂 ...these small things matter in life. 8. People talk about getting tier2-3 postings, remember one thing it's better to live in 3BHK paying 8-9k rent for a good house and having all services available at door step than to pay 30k in cities like banglore for a cracked house for 1 BHK. In recent timesTier 2 - 3 cities contains all facilities that tier 1 cities have. Only pub and bar will not be available. First experience both things then decide. Don't go by others words. 9. There are other benifits that you get in Group A government job which cannot be publicly commented....it can be only felt I Worked for 3.5 yrs in IT , it sucks Now , I m a central government employee ( cracked ESE) posted in group A service and I m very happy that I left IT sector. Love iT or hate iT , Group A services are the best employment that you can ever get in a country like India ... Another small thing, 8th pay commission is coming soon (by 2026) , salaries will get 1.6x of all government employees.
💯 correct, I worked in IT sector for 5 years, package was 16LPA, But i was very frustrated and mentally harassed, So quit, prepared for ssc and got selected as income tax officer 1 year ago, Now I m leaving a decent and respected life, 1000times better than previous life
But you have to consider what % of vacancies are alloted to Group-A posts?? And bank PO is also a group A job bt we know the amount of pressure they have to face. And even if you get the job, the posting in remote areas will affect your personal life.
I m a govt servent, 1200 km away from my family, daily think to resign but cannot. No life balance, bootlicking of senior officers, not getting leaves at times we need, and many more.....
Don't take govt job if, 1. Parents in Grp A Or Grp B 2. you have property in any of top cities (where population is more than 20lakh) 3. both parents are working 4. Spouse has to work Govt jobs will NOT have × Bribe money (even hike sometimes) × respect × servants for errands × perks or benefits
Sir bribery is there not in every sector but in certain sections of the government If you don't believe in this go to Bihar and then see house of ias irs or any other reputed officer
Sir not all people in pvt sector are happy and have 10digit satisfying salary. I am from non-IT background. In 2023 i have a package of 300000 roughy 23000 monthly do u think this is a good salary??? Tell me any govt job from group B,C which has this much low starting salary. Even group D job's starting salary is above 30k + in govt sector ur salary increment is time bound you dont have to do anything. Unlike pvt sect where u have to work ur ass hard to get 10-20% hike & that too is depend on management/ manager's wish.
Around 2000's my father wanted to leave govt. Because people working in private sector were earning more. Those people are now, job less and my father is enjoying pension. However, some of them made big properties, living in best locations.
Wo bhale hi abhi job less ho lekin unhone acchq khasa kama rakha hoga jisse unko furure mai earning aati hogi.wo aise hi best location pe thodina reh rahe hai.mere papa bhi govt mqi hai lekin hmko jo earn hua wo ancestors ke property se hi earn hua unki salary to abhi thk se badhi hai after 7th pay commission.but ab uska kya hi fayda 3sal mai retire ho rhe
My son is an IITIAN n 25 year old. Tried for govt job for 2 years n joined digital marketing. Now earning 10 LPA n growing. I was sad but now I realize he is correct. I don't regret anymore.
There are very few fresher's who are earning above 5 LPA on the first job sir. That's not because of lack of skills but because that is India's Market rate. But look at his peers who have some experience and have changed companies or role a few times. Your son is already ahead in many ways sir n will compund

I was thinking the same, therefore took a job in private. Very, very high work pressure, couldn't think outside work and office, almost zero genuine connection with people, everyone was competing against each other, each day. Weekends would go on resting, no energy left to visit places and enjoy. Left it for a govt job. They say training is tough but honestly I'm enjoying it. Pay is ok but I have time and healthy relation with colleagues. I even play outdoor games after work, everyday. Personal preferences bros, generalization on these topics is difficult.
I served in Indian Air Force and CISF. Now working in MNC I realized Govt job is good for those who don't want to do anything new or not willing to take additional responsibility as there is hardly any reward. I was awarded 2000 rs award for a suggestion which will save corores of rupees in comming years. And those simply passing time are just 2000 rupees lesser than me. In MNC thertis no limit.
After watching this video, I realized that leaving Post Office job in 2021 had been the best decision of my life despite so much criticism from the closed ones. Thank you for speaking so blunt.
Excellent observation and clarity. My father was group D employee in BSNL, I am group A in Central Government. I will never put my son in any kind of government jobs for sure.

So, I simply went for IT job job after graduating from NIT Agartala. I am so happy with my job in samsung R&D. Its good to see these information are coming out in public.

Sir, whatever you told about the Government jobs might be true, but what might be the solution to it?... You can already see that the hanging sword of Artificial Intelligence in the IT industry, Everything is already heading towards recession.... In such cases Government jobs can provide a job security... maybe there is a less salary as compared to a private sector employee but what about the facilities that a govt employee get (like Canteen Stores, CGHS, etc.)... You should always explain both sides of the coin... .. I totally agree with what you said but what I feel that maybe I am getting a less pay than my friends in private sector, but I have enough time to care for my kith and kin, follow my hobbies (like gardening and music).. my friends are not even getting time for themselves.....For most of the people that is the Quality Life they are aspiring for....
In 2014 My friend was working as manager in Network 18. He was preparing for Public service commission. He got selected for MPPSC but left that job within 8 months and rejoined Network 18.
I was in government job. Whatever sir is saying is true 100%. Even My senior tortured me so much, I had to left the job. Mental health is going to suffer if your senior is comes from Lower class. They don't have any emotions and work ethics.
Govt job promotion level is worst because SC /ST, category people jumps in the promotion level and the General caste people remains behind with there beter merit. It is a curse to be birth in General Cast.
So by your logic if an upper class torture lower class it's fine??? But when it's vice versa it's a problem?? Why even are we discussing these CLASS thing here? You get posted by your merit
100 percent agree with you....I am the son of a group A officer(Professor) and living in jaipur but problem is that family doesn't support in anything except preparation for govt job or teaching in a school ,coaching..I have done B.A. M.A. Bed ..I am 27 years old..have wasted 8 years of my life for govt job ..got nothing ..even now parents don't support for anything else..They don't want to support me in taking risk..Reservation has worsen the situation..65 :/: reservation after EWs...Paper leak ..exam postponed many times..suggest me any diploma ..What should I do ?
My father was in the armed forces and he never pressurise me for the same because it looks better from outside but andar it’s very difficult to sustain and you have to available 24/7. PS: If you get a government job in a big city it’s a curse because your salary will remain same as of a small town employee but your expenditure will be too much!!!

You forgot to add another point sir, people who graduated from cse/it from good private engineering college/ govt college or people who can work hard to improve their coding skills they should be the first ones to not go for govt jobs. Because what they will earn in it after 10 yrs, even a govt officer cannot reach that salary in his retirement age.( If they dont take under the table money).

I work in IT in private sector. The kind of layoffs that happen, recession, etc traumatises people beyond limits. They are worried about even taking an emi not knowing if they will still retain their job next year. I now got an IT job in central govt undertaking company
100% true... pure government jobs(non-psu) had two lures - bribe & bride. Both are waning now. PSU jobs look good in beginning but after 10 years of job they look completely dumb. Sir please take a workshop on how to switch from PSU to private job successfully
Sir you are right... Only attracting thing in govt job is initially salary is good compare to pvt.. But over the period of 5-8 years people working pvt overtake it and lot of opportunities are there in pvt to explore which I think is not possible in govt job
Sir, now I feel I have started in 2015 ,5000 monthly job in industry now I n getting after 8 year 80000 monthly I think if will switch this job can get 20% hike my decision was good I did not prepare for govt job
What a perfect analysis sir I can virtually testify to every line of this now after 7 years(honeymoon period) as a government doctor. I joined because it was close to home now I have been transferred to a remote place without a thought, and my entire work destroyed by a corrupt boss from a reservation category who doesn't give a shit about the lives of people(not against reservation this is just my story and I'm sure of many others) I have never used my position for corruption and worked my heart out to learn & for the betterment of the lives of my patients, I'm fortunate enough to have found a way out at 35 years of age especially because I never stopped upskilling myself. I only wish I had heard you a few years back I left a salary of a group A officer that is 1.6 L a month. I have had enough & now going abroad. I'm an avid listener those whom you described as your audience need to understand this loud and clear.
As someone who worked in top psu, I 100% agree. If one comes from a background of certain privileges, please don't go for govt jobs. Satisfaction will be low. Initial salary may be good but growth is snail like. It is very frustrating to see your peers who were not as good as you in academics overtake you after working 4-6 yrs in pvt jobs in salary & foreign posting. Even an avg pvt job salary will overtake top govt job salary in 10 yrs. Govt jobs are not what they used to be. and the stress of transfer is very real.

Being a govt employee has become a torture and a kind of punishment rather than enjoyment..other people think about govt employees as 'sarkari naukari hai..mauj hai'..but the reality is totally opposite as far as the latest trend is concerned. Higher authorities treat the employees as their personal 'servants'...That 'Jee huzuri' factor is rising up in every department.. Contractual employees are looked down upon and insulted, sometimes without any reason..their salary is not given as per the rules but they never raise their voice in fear of losing their job... working more than job hours is the new normal..begging for getting leaves, harassment, extra work, lack of productivity, preferring only those who do bootlicking are some of the 'features' of govt job. In my opinion, preparing for govt jobs for years is not worth.. I wish i could have watched this content 10 years back.

Today, there are 3 driving factors for civil services exam = 1. Escape work = escape private job, incentive of not working yet confirmed govt job that doesn’t fire. 2. Basic survival covered till retirement = roti, kappa, Makhan 3. Protection from bureaucratic harassment = no traffic police, landlord, bank, pension , no govt dept can harass you. 4. Those coming for corruption will find it slightly difficult. Those who want respect prefer postings in villages as economic disparity is huge, no one likes metro posting as feel very small among powerful people in cities, who know rules, have lawyers etc to deal with them

@ClrityForYouth Sir ji Mostly Engineers Sarkari Nokri ki taraf isiliye bhag rahe hain kyun ki Private mai bhi nokri nahi hai. Aur Startups Chalana sabke bas ki bat nhi. Plus Jo log startups bhi chala rahe hain vo Na Salary dete hain na experience certificates na koi learning. bas apne fayde ke according kaam niklwate hain aur 6 month 1 saal me sab ko nikal rahe hain. ese mai koi MNC bhi resume select nahi karti. toh dekhte hi dekhte ek engineer ka kam se kam 3-4 saal ka gap toh ese hi ho jata hai. toh aap hi bataiye ki hum engineers kha jayen. aur ab to age limit bhi ghata di hai Gov ne. toh dhire dhire sarkar aur pvt dono hi raste band ho rahe hain. tab hum kya karen?
Agar aap IIT NIT se nhi hain toh Placement milna bhut mushkil hai. tab akhir me ek hi umeed bachti hai engineers ke liye Sarkari Nokri ka exam. usme bhi vacancy nhi hain itni aur age limit bhi kam ho gai hai. tho hum log ab karen toh kya karen?

I left IT sector.. Cracked all india exam.. Now I'm in Customs dept as Officer..... Each and every day i do regret leaving the IT sector
Why regret? You got secured job. Pressure in IT field is high. Please explain.
I have seen two boys in my circle who left good private jobs for custom. Now they are repenting and not good financially.
brother why? by commenting your life experience can change some ones life.
Can we connect on eamil i am working In IT same as you but thinking of giving civil services . It would be great to hear perspective from you from another side.
You have experience in IT, still you have an option of getting a job in IT sector.
Your advice for not opting for government jobs is relevant only for IITs, IIM, CAs, guys only. But for rest of the youth the salary level in private sectors are not even 50 percent of the government salaries. Hence it might be risky for ordinary graduate or post graduate to implement your advice.

Another side of life that this gentleman didn't spoke :
0. SLAVES ARE Always MORE IN NUMBER THAN MASTER.. Going into private sector is good for money but @ cost of becoming slave and below mentioned Practical things
1. Life in private sector is full of deadlines specially in IT sector .
One deadline miss is equivalent to getting bashed in full assembly like a school boy.
2. Life long study..... accept the fact that u cannot learn new technology at 35 yrs of age..
3. No social identification, u will mostly settle down in a city like banglore, where everyone is doing the same
thing.
9. There are other benifits that you get in Group A government job which cannot be publicly commented....it can be only felt
I Worked for 3.5 yrs in IT , it sucks
Now , I m a central government employee ( cracked ESE) posted in group A service and I m very happy that I left IT sector.
Love iT or hate iT , Group A services are the best employment that you can ever get in a country like India ...
Another small thing, 8th pay commission is coming soon (by 2026) , salaries will get 1.6x of all government employees.

But i was very frustrated and mentally harassed,
So quit, prepared for ssc and got selected as income tax officer 1 year ago,

But you have to consider what % of vacancies are alloted to Group-A posts?? And bank PO is also a group A job bt we know the amount of pressure they have to face. And even if you get the job, the posting in remote areas will affect your personal life.
There won't be any 8th pay commission..I think

I wasted a ton of my time and life preparing for govt exams but couldn't get through by mere 2-3 marks on various occasions in various exams. Mean while i picked part time jobs largely because i didn't wanted to hamper my govt job preparation. I tried business also but due to covid i suffers huge loss and got demoralize.
These lack of mere 2-3 marks keep pulling me for next after next exams yet i reached no where. Today i have no proper job in hand .....no relevent experience in any domain in pvt sector, overage for govt jobs and hopeless.

I had second thoughts to leave the job and prepare for UPSC, but then I realised first priority for me should be to uplift my economic status which can be done only if I explore my domain.

Today, there are 3 driving factors for civil services exam =
1. Escape work = escape private job, incentive of not working yet confirmed govt job that doesn’t fire.
2. Basic survival covered till retirement = roti, kappa, Makhan
