That is because the government welfare is equal for everyone high taxes but better support for every person immaterial of their economic class. Might happen in the next 100 years but not any time soon

I’m based off the United States, and my father is a neurologist here. A person and his family came to visit California from the subcontinent when they also stopped by our house. Without understanding that “government job” mentality ceases to exist outside the subcontinent, he asked if my dad’s job is “Sarkari.” We just looked at each other as some of us didn’t know what to say or didn’t understand what Sarkari is. Just an average American general physician earns $2,60,000 USD a year and no matter what kind of job he/she has, the employer is legally required to pay him/her social security (pension) benefits and medical/dental insurance. Most employers also offer 401K benefits for retirement along with stock options, so when selecting jobs in the USA, we don’t look if it is Sarkari or not, because why should we care about that as all employers have same benefits and regulations but who has the better offer in terms of work hours and pay. I then did my research on why he had that weird question, and I came across these facts from the subcontinent that what a normal job is in the USA is the dream for people outside of it. The employment sector seems so underdeveloped that governments have become a God instead of an employer, which explains the status quo behind getting these jobs. This is unfair for such amazing candidates who probably have so much better to contribute to the society than delivering messages in between two police stations. As an American, I am taught to maximize and capitalize on every situation when I have the skills to offer for it, and I do trust in the roaring future of India and the subcontinent whereby PhD holders will get the due for their skills and participate in the development of their nation.

How can you write be proud and be kind in the same sentence? Proud people are the ultimate attention leechers. Be humble and have gratitude. That's enough.

@@shubham_M7777 both have pros and cons. You cant exactly compare both. But still the worst kinds of jobs are from local private companies. Neither their compensation nor job stability can match to that of Govt jobs. If you work in MNCs then its best but during recession they may cut the workforce. But in govt jobs, you get sufficient money, benefits and limited promotions. Its about what you want in life. Either enormous money and promotions, go to MNCs and keep working hard, change companies. Or you want stable income and recession proof job, go for govt one. But everywhere you have to give your best, otherwise you will be out of job market. As an employee in both Private sector and now in Public sector, I can confirm that the main problem in Private sector is Work Pressure from upper level (so called Bosses)... In Public sector there is also ample pressure and now a days staff shortages in every department but still the We try (n.b. try to) to follow the factories act, 1948 i.e. 8 hours of work per day, but in Private if you're a new joinee software developer then the upper management will squeeze your last drop of sweat (HR will do nothing, as many others are in queue, if you don't like it then leave it). But if you look at western countries, there is no fascination for public sector jobs, as private employees get reminder from HR/Management to not to take stress.... If we/our nations private big players take this matter seriously, I think 99.9% of job seeker will go for Pvt. Jobs.... Because, a job seeker gets demotivated by hearing "private sector mein bohot pressure hain" by private job holders, as they are facing the same issues.
Yes sir half of the problems of unemployment are created by pvt sector and they don't want to change their mentality. Most of the candidates just give up in finding pvt jobs because of the treatment one gets in pvt jobs.
The problem is also with our education system. We learn concepts, we don't implement them. For example.. maths which is a core subject in every exam is of upto 10th level and generally everyone is a pass 10th pass but still they take coaching bcz in schools they don't teach new concepts.
We don't even learn concepts bro, speaking of maths toppers can score 100/100 but can't even explain simple concepts of maths. Dear Mohak, The problem is not lack of jobs or lack of money. The problem is lack of attitude. We tend to prove ourselves for others, never for ourselves. That is the reason why we lack development too.

Currently I'm serving Indian Railways in Operating Department in a 10+2 level post. The main thing is the vision and your passion. My father lost his father at 15 years of age ... He had 3 brothers and a mom and was living in a poor condition in a village... He studied his best and became the first bank po of his village in 1995... This govt sector has given us everything we have... The amount of respect he gets in the society is massive and when people were juiced out in the covid locked down we were unaffected financially and were secure! Our medical expenses are paid by the bank and also get numerous other perqs. It is popular and in demand because it has some value and it changes lives... Only because you could not do it doesn't make it worthless!
My conclusion is that if you have resources and can afford good quality education and expensive courses for skill development go for private job... But there are people who are the only hope for their family and in private sector would be crushed with workload and underpayments... Let them study in peace and don't make biased videos!

Not always. Private sector salaries are very low except in IT or high management positions. They barely exceed 3- 4 lacs. And on the other hand even govt clerical can earn more with less grueling work
In my opinion there has to balance of govt jobs and private. But we have to make sure that private jobs have less burden and proper job security just like in European union. 80% private. 20%govt

The main problem is quality education, their are enough private companies which looks for quality employees including just 12th pass but because our education system is so bad, these companies trust in placement to recruit their employees. Want me to be more specific u actually don't need an engineering degree to work in tcs, Accenture, infosys etc. But as their is no other way to ensure min quality these companies ask for engineering graduates and just to reduce recruiting burden they have basic cgpa criteria. In the end most schools and colleges exploit families because of bad education system

Not only that, I completed my graduation in 2018, and started prepping for govt job on July 2018, I began cracking exams by July 2019, and now I am selected for 2 jobs one under the central govt and the other under the state, and in these 4years of my experience I can say that, 1. The competition on paper may seem high, but only a tiny percentage of aspirants come well-prepped. 2. Many students come into this field without any backup plan, they somehow think they'll come and beat all the rest and get the job. 3. Corruption and mismanagement of govt. there are so many vacancies in banks, railways, and other public service sectors but they work with less than half their full strength. 4. The long process of recruitment. Except for the UPSC, all other recruitment bodies on average take 1.5-2 years to complete the exam process i.e. tier 1, tier 2, typing/interview. 5. Lack of skill building, as you said, traditional learning tactics often fail us in the private sector as well as in the govt exam sector, I have seen people study from dawn to dusk, with no success, whereas I personally never studied that hard, I followed some tutors online(mainly YT) and solved mock paper, and analyzed previous year questions during my preparation, and I never studied for more than 3 exams at a time, I have seen people give every exam in a season, with each having very different syllabus. This hinders the preparation for all. I hope it helps anyone, who'll read. Keep hustling men. ❤️
Government jobs has some benefits but also comes with tonnes of drawbacks my father is also a Police Officer and the typical stereotypes in peoples mind is we are rich and my father is a corrupted person and eventually they starts me treating in a privileged way not because they wanted to but instead they think my father will help them in a difficult situation and thats why i many times feel used because people stay with me for their own benefits regardless how good as a person i m to others Ps : my father also worked hard to get that job and it also provided economical security to our family but it comes with loads of work and tense situation , which leads to both mental and physical health problems to my father I can conclude that in Government jobs the cons outscores the pros !!
Good analysis .. but the main problem is people with professional degree is not liking their profession or study related job which is creating havoc and high competition in other general field . I means suppose if someone did phd and got a good teaching job but still they will try to clear UPSC and PCS . Engineering and management students with good package and good life balance is also trying to become Bank P.O (Not talking about Civil and mechanical from private College 😜 onko banta hai exam dena b'coz there is not too much job in these fields) Recently i show a guy from bihar he was iit bombay graduate and he was doing railway Group D job

Both Government and private Sector Jobs has pros and cons, Job Security depends on your skills, economy of the country and most importantly how company (employer)is performing, interms of compensation private companies does offer much better salary than government company, initial salary in private sector will be low compared to same grade in govt however down the line if a person has zeal to learn and He/She will be able to earn much higher than govt employee. On the other hand the primary reason that a huge chunk of our population wants Govt job is Job security and respect from society, as narated in the video even clerk and peons earn more respect than that of pvt sector employee which is very very wrong as I do believe people should pay respect not because He/She has a govt job rather by contribution towards society and country as a whole. Govt should also restructure many public sector organization by providing required tranings as many highly skilled employess after getting PSU jobs gets stagnant and doesn't upskill themselves only because they have a secure job.

I have recently started working for Railways (joined in sept'22). I graduated in 2019 with a B.A. with honours in English placed in second class. I'm posted as a Junior Stenographer and I had applied for this exam in 2019. The recruitment process is extremely lengthy. It took me 3 years to be employed. Meanwhile, I took every sort of exam, SSC, Bank exams etc. I didn't really plan to leave my hometown and the job I am currently doing has NO all India transfer liability. I can travel from home to my work place so I am saving the entire salary. Now, that I do have a job, I can pursue other skills without worrying about money or job security. The timings are also good so, I get enough time to rest, exercise, study for other exams and upskill myself all at the same time. And this is true for most middle class families. There is nothing wrong in seeking job security. This job is building the foundation of my life and now I can choose to do whatever I like with my free time. I'm happy that I didn't run behind a corporate job. Yes, I sometimes wish I should have pursued something else during those three years of preparation but I did the best with the exposure I had. Now I have a job and time to explore other options. My stomach is well fed to fuel my passions. So, if any govt. job aspirant is reading this, DO NOT GIVE UP.

totally agreed man they dont understand peace of mind concept people prefer gov jobs because u have time for family enough money to feed future generation and in private sectors there is ergomaniacs therefore u most of the times stay underpayed
I beg to disagree...it depends on which kind of job you have in private sector. You will get better growth oppertunity. You get more exposure and options. But you have to keep on reskilling yourself. Job security is not a question when you have relevant skillsets. Many private job employees are taking early retirement in there 40-50 and investing their money to enjoy the rest of the life with peace of mind as well.
The only advantage of government job is job security. However, people must clear the misconception that a doing govt job is an easy affair. Specially the officials and other staff are overburdened and getting leave isnt easy too. Sometimes u have to work even on being on earned leave. So there are pros and cons of job both in public and private sector

And I think it should happen sooner or later, otherwise government deptt. have long been working inefficiently and sluggishly.
Quality of jobs matters too with includes good pay, even in private people with computer and IT disciple earn way more than mechanical and civil, Also there is a huge trend of people going after UPSC after completing Engg from IIT's, many a time people leave high paying private jobs for Ias/ips , you'll get several examples, just check the UPSC deleted candidate list and look for their colleges.

Consistent income with fixed basic annual increment. 5. Peers are for lifetime after certain initial years of service. 6. Practical leave rules. 7. Default Retirement planning. 8. Medical Reimbursement for family and self. Cons: 1. Repetitive work 2. Linear growth
Cons - Less than 5% chance to even secure the job. In fact it's infinitely easier to get a white collar pvt. Job granted you develop the necessary skills. A white collar job in a reputed MNC will also provide you with many benefits.
Counterview- I think one more thing should taken into account.. these govt jobs gives hopes to many students ,youngsters that they have chance to change their and their family’s financial circumstances.. specially in states where there are no mfg or service sector developments for decades and ultimately no good opportunities of good jobs as all are not staying in metros like delhi n Bangalore ... and these people can try for good colleges but whether they can bear a burden of fees & cost of education which is much more higher than preparing for exams and more over whether there will be any guarantee of job after that ( including this scaler academy).. My point is when you compare from their point of view its much better to try for govt jobs considering their financial and demographic situations
Pension is not like that what it used to be.. People gives government exams because they don't know what to do with their life.. So either they chose engineering or govt job prepration.. I am from bihar and passed class 12th this year.. Most of my friends are preparing from general competition in Patna or doing engineering.. People don't have awareness and nor interests in other fields
They are right because even after bca, bna, ba, btech, bbm, bmm etc etc , there's no value... So, ppl logic is start prepn from 1st yr itself so that they can crack in 1st attempt
I think so there should be age limit of 22-24 , so that youngsters should not have to compete with folks who are preparing 7 years and will also give motivation to youngsters to go find other job.
Priorities and Background - Some wish to just clear an exam and have a set life and some love exploring the deep levels of industry. If you wish to keep it simple- Go Govt., If you need a dynamic life - Skill up and join Pvt. ! Govt. Pays a lot in beginning but with time Pvt. gives you more. The problem is Indians love a simple basic life even though it's having the highest young population 😂. If India had a govt. funded pension investment, I would definitely take that and retire in India cause the desperation of Indian youth for Govt. Jobs will yield higher returns on Pension investment plans😉!!

He first blames the government for not creating private sector jobs without specifying what the government needs to do.
Then he says that people need quality jobs. Tell me any country which has this? Not even the US has this.
Then he wants people to respect jobs for other people. This is something that a kid would say.

If you think that taking bribe is ok, then surely one day you may get caught. If proven guilty, there are serious consequences including confiscation of all your wealth and retirement benefits.

The problem is also with our education system. We learn concepts, we don't implement them. For example.. maths which is a core subject in every exam is of upto 10th level and generally everyone is a pass 10th pass but still they take coaching bcz in schools they don't teach new concepts.

Yes, Dignity and respect for low paying job is missing in India. We should teach our children to respect everyone. Right from watchman, waiter, delivery person etc..
In psychology, there's a term called, spotlight effect. People always feel they're being looked at and judged by so called chaar log.
No job is small of disrespectful, untill it's morally and ethically done. But people want to demand and command respect and end up in this vicious cycle of chaar log kya kahenge.
It's High time for parents to understand that there are more than just 7 sectors of respectable work.
Yes but in reality people judge only if youre doing good in life. If youre miserable, noone gives a single f and chaar log dissapears.
I m a govt servent and after 5 years of service I fed up with my job and department, not bcz I have work load but bcz of corruption, VIP culture, irresponsible work, formalities of paper works etc, I belong from a middle class background that's why I have to continue, I m preparing for pcs also but when I see officers around me I feel like all system Is corrupt, as a lower post I m a token bcz I can't do corruption and as a officer maybe it will be continue.......one more thing that I notice they hv made CASTEs in govt services also like IAS is a caste, PCS is a caste, clerk is a cast nd their social bonds also follows their CASTE only
morality and ethics are subjective.
There are pros and cons of both private and government jobs. Choose a career that you'll love to be part of it. Choose something that'll make you wake up every morning without an alarm, without forcing yourself. If you find something like that, you'll no longer need to do any sacrifices. You'll push yourself to learn something new everyday, new skills, new habits.

Not only that, I completed my graduation in 2018, and started prepping for govt job on July 2018, I began cracking exams by July 2019, and now I am selected for 2 jobs one under the central govt and the other under the state, and in these 4years of my experience I can say that,

Government jobs has some benefits but also comes with tonnes of drawbacks my father is also a Police Officer and the typical stereotypes in peoples mind is we are rich and my father is a corrupted person and eventually they starts me treating in a privileged way not because they wanted to but instead they think my father will help them in a difficult situation and thats why i many times feel used because people stay with me for their own benefits regardless how good as a person i m to others

All government jobs are not equally respected either even then people want government jobs. The reality is that we Indians see jobs as financial support, not as a passion.

True that. there are pros and cons of jobs both in Govt and Pvt. I am in a Govt Research Organization and now seeing the amount of work and the way of functioning, many things have become corporatized. And I think it should happen sooner or later, otherwise government deptt. have long been working inefficiently and sluggishly.

Your choice of topics to make videos on, the background research, the treatment and the presentation is all commendable. Keep up the good work.

In fact it's infinitely easier to get a white collar pvt. Job granted you develop the necessary skills.
A white collar job in a reputed MNC will also provide you with many benefits.
The main reason for choosing salary along with bribe and no need to work. They will do it on their own time.
@@suji1103 bribe is not the case with every govt. employee
@@the_kitchen_slab true, even the most reputed departments are struggling to get bribe nowadays

Yes, people are not thinking that how can they provide value but instead they want a fixed salary and pension when they are retired.
There's a lack of awareness of other fields for sure but there are a lot more reasons
Career counseling is very very necessary in india. I'm doing ba but i didn't know about bca,mca or bba. I would have done bba
Like most of the student get to know about the jobs after graduation aur during college . 22-24 will not work .
I really don't know why i cried in the end of this video 🥺 this is soo true mohak! Great video ✨
How accurately you described the vicious cycle of government job preparation. Hats off to you
Priorities and Background - Some wish to just clear an exam and have a set life and some love exploring the deep levels of industry.
I come from central India and scored a good rank in the engineering entrance. Luckily, I got into a wonderful university where we had training for corporate jobs from the first year. I prepared for GATE for 2 years during my engineering and It was a hell of a difficult one, unfortunately, I did not clear it and then switched to the software industry. But out of 720 people in my batch hardly 250-300 people are employed and the rest are still looking for government jobs.
How to get into software industry?
How do you find the software industry in comparison to the government jobs that most youths look out for?
@@priyamganguly I feel the industry is good if you get famous MNCs & if you go into development or Data science. I was lucky enough to get into a good MNC with a great project & recently switched to another company. Work is stressful sometimes, specially when you are a fresher but you learn to manage slowly. Overall a good job to begin with. My friend she is in government job & she's stuck with zero appreciation, senior junior hierarchy.
@@debanikgoswami4834 write AMCAT & ELITMUS exam.. They will email you about job interviews if you get above 95% score. Clear interviews & get the offer letter. Apart from this, you can also try various Off campus drives which provides job for BTECH graduates.
@@priyamgangulyI left software industry job and joined state government job recently.
I am appearing for civil services exams both central and state after about 10 years of corporate sales experience, For me, it's not much of a risk now because I can go back to any good job even if I don't make it. A gap in your employment for govt job preparation is surprisingly still acceptable with HR's. My advice, at least have a work ex of 5 years, build a good corporate profile and then try for these exams, and an added advantage, the older you get the more seriously you will take this exam. You might not become a DGP but you will still be a DIG at least.
