I am from Kerala. I worked as a teacher in Nawada, Bihar. I saw brilliant students in my school. I think the problem in Bihar is the lack of structured public education. Bihar needs a total revamp as I witnessed Untouchability even in these days. Its not just about higher education. They need social Reformation.
As a JEE student I would like to say that getting 85 marks in JEE mains does not mean that we are selected in JEE. To get a good college we have to get minimum of 150 marks.
Back in the day, all of my Bihari colleagues were having fake degrees and were proud of it. They used to say, Bihar me degree lene ke liye college jana nhi padta hai, college ghar pe aakar degree de jaati hai. They were very sharp and used to grasp coding and other numerical related works very fast without having formal education, just imagine what they can achieve with proper education. It's an untapped powerhouse.

My father is Principle of a High School in Bihar. He cracked BPSC exam of 1994 to get this teaching job. 6 days a week he has to travel almost 80km up and down to get to school. Now his work in school is everything from managing MDM(Mid Day Meal) to even escort students to school but not to teach because he doesn't get time. The main problem that he faces is students don't want to come to school because their parents especially during harvest season want them to work on field, and officials tends to visit during that time so that they could bribe for less attendance in school. Other problem is there are various schemes for student welfare such as poshak scholarship, monthly allowance, money for bicycle etc. and all the details req for the form such as their name, parent's name, his aadhar no, bank details, sign of parents and student, that are required every time to filled and submitted to bank has to be done by one and only principle. whether in other schools such as central or private schools there is a clerk to assist them. In matter of teachers attendance now every school in our area has a fingerprint devices that collects data such as absent or late and even the time of exit. So I can see that things have improved a lot but the government still thinks it is the fault of teachers for such low admission and passing rate. But the officers are still milking the headmasters and they don't give a damn about student or condition of school.
I am from Bihar and seeing this kind of situation in my states, it is painful. Recruitment of best Teachers is very hard for government. I pray my bihar would be a great state as it was in ancient times. Hope government will do his best for education.

Thank-you Mohak for covering this very most important issue. One more thing should be mentioned in the Video is that Coaching Centres are the backbone of the education system in Bihar. I didn't get a single class in my college during intermediate. All credit goes to the coaching teachers for whatever we learnt in our school and college days.
Mohak sir pranam. Things to add: 1) BSEB( Bihar school examination Board) publishes admit card for students appearing 10th/12th examination. BSEB members willingly make error in admit card and thus as a result student have to visit capital (bseb office) and are harassed with no fault of theirs. Students have to finally give money to amend it. 2) colleges and state University of Bihar publish result of a 3 year degree course in 5/6/7 years, thus wasting students valuable years.

I am from Samastipur district of Bihar. Completed intermediate in 2016 and pursuing B Ed to get into the education sector. I have gone through all the pain and atrocities described in the video. One thing is in the core of all this mess is incompetent teachers. A lot of my middle school teachers couldn't write Hindi correctly. Hello Mohak bhaiya, I'm a student from Bihar who has passed Intermediate and matriculation from Bihar Secondary Examination Board. You all think that the situations are getting better day by day as 80% of students pass the exam but, do you know the reason behind it? The reason is that the board knows that the students will never study so it made the exam very easy and in both the exam the percentage of objective questions is 50 and after it you'll be really amazed to know that the objective used to be out and even you can get the question with answer for free before 1-2 hours before examination. These days it is very common to get 80% and above here. And the most amazing fact is that those students who have just passed 10th by cheating they are taking Science in 12th and for what? Just to show their friends and to get the chance to go to the tuitions. I know that most of you will be amazed to hear this even I don't want such things in my state that's why I'm writing these things here. Trust me , it feels really worse to say such things about my state but the board just want to be free from the questions asked by media about the low percentage of pass students. It takes nothing to do so the board does so.
Being from Bihar, I can tell what’s the original issues. The people who studied or were interested in studies, they did that outside Bihar. And seeing the job sector, they settled outside Bihar. Then comes other issues, My father was a professor, in his college students stopped coming because their parents used to send them to kota for preparation of JEE/NEET and got admissions for namesake in college. To get their 12th degree certificate. When they got debarred due to low attendance, they used to attack the college. So, now professors who used to teach, they also go to college for only 2-3 hrs. And get 2-3 lakh salary per month. Like if students don’t come and their parents also don’t want to send them, then what can a professor do? For the school level, in 90’s teachers were of good quality. My mother was also a teacher. But, when Lalu came in power, every student focused on cheating, rather than studying. After that, when Nitish became CM, there were less teachers. Older one retired and next generation good students found job out side Bihar. So, Nitish Kumar, gave job to all the people who were not eligible for the teaching job. (Like 90% of them). It was given on marksheet and that marksheet was received by cheating in exams. But, this gave boost to Nitish Kumar’s political gains. All those who got job, called him shushashan babu…thus he is getting elected still as CM. So, Now these teachers, who cheated in exams during their student life, are just being theif. They get fund to build school. They get fund for mid day meal. Instead if utilising them, they have divided shares from top officials to teachers. And this affects later on, parents see that there in no proper education in government schools, thus they don’t want to send their child to college. And due to this reason, students go to Kota, rather than attending classes in college. In Kota they learn MCQ pattern things and here for 12th board exam, for subjective questions, they cheat!
I , obviously take pride in calling myself a Bihari for the past we had , but being honest I feel extremely shameful when other Indians mock us for our behaviours/illiteracy/ill-mannerism/poverty nd all,I admit they're right , but a heartfelt thanks to CBSE & ICSE, there're hundreds of cbse schools in every town/city of Bihar today,n it's really helping the meritorious students identify their talents ....Bihar's gonna shine tomorrow ✨💥 we expect love frm u all in the process
Itni kyu chaat ra h bhai Kya shameful feel kr ra h ? Hum kab se ill mannered ho gye ? I assume 99 percent of Biharis are soft spoken, humble, focused. You should have felt discriminated But you feel ashamed. That's why Bihar is lacking behind. Zero self respect. Aur jab India pakistan debate aati h, ya koi European kuch bol de Indian ko racist comment kr de, stereotype kr de, tab turant khoon khaul jata hai. Bro drop the hypocrisy. It's not doing any good to Bihar. My point is if you're discriminated Say you feel discriminated But you take it on yourself That's basically blaming the victim As you blame our own community for someone else's bad behaviour towards us !
It is not poverty and illiteracy I hate about Biharis, but there bad behaviour and disgusting attitude/dadagiri especially when they go to other states (not all are same but majority). Many other people are poor as well as illiterate in this country but knew how to show basic respect to other people.
It is sad to see that once upon a time bihar has the biggest and beautiful university from where we got the ancient scholars, toppers , philosophers etc. But today's situation is totally different I hope that bihar soon recover this problem and convert into the the same state as how it used to be a state of scholars and great philosophers.
Your videos are really helpful for me as an UPSC CSE aspirant.. You probably discussed a lot of issues related education and the solutions to curtail these hurdles.. Whatever you briefly explained in end of the video regarding the solutions, Those were amazing.. So thank you so much.. I noted your informative thoughts and i hope i can also mention these problems consequences and root of problems in exam hall..
First time someone provided informative content on Bihar education, better then TV News channels. Everyone mocked instead of showing sympathy or concern. During the last 18 years, lot of cosmetic improvements have happened, but the intrinsic-systemic problems are as it is -100%. I did my Graduation in 1999 and am yet to get the original certificate. The process is so cumbersome that for anyone living outside the Bihar, it is impossible to get that. Maybe, in older times, it was easier to get a fake degree than a genuine degree.
Sir, I am a CBSE class 10 student from Bihar, I know the problem of our Bihar education system as well as the problem of our CBSE and ICSE. First of all, I want to thank you for highlighting the problems of the education system of Bihar. No one ever looks at the problems of the Bihar education system in news, they always blame Bihar Board students for not performing well. Sir, I also request to highlight the problem of CBSE and ICSE board problems. In these boards, the exam mainly focuses on theory whereas in job interviews interviewers are assessed for conceptual knowledge. So please sir make a video on this topic also. In an exam we answer without proper steps then they deduct our marks for that and in definition, we write the same definition in some different style and then deduct marks for that also

The reason for this apathy, not only in Bihar but in many other states, is us. As a voter, education is the least of our priorities and no one is accountable for it. Statistically it’s been proven that Indians vote based on caste/ community/ religious considerations and therefore we get the netas we deserve. Until this changes, the education system will never change - which basically means nothing will happen.
@@Snigdhorup yes, but the fact is that this voting pattern is across India and not only in Bimaru. I am from TN, one of the most progressive states in India and even here seats are allocated based on caste calculation. Nothing can be done about this, we are doomed to have a failed education system
Well this is what you get when u insert Secularism and not to mention the divide n rule policy is not new, its going on after Independence, the corruption and the cess pits created by congress in 30+ years in all the sectors is very hard to clean, it will take some time and with our population it will be very slow. Alongside Bihar most states in India face a similar issue with varying degrees, had hope from the New Education Policy but, I see no one talk about it anymore! 🤦🏻♂️

I am from Bihar and I struggled a lot because of corona and lockdown . I really wasn't able to study in those 2 years. I barely passed because of online studies. Now I am glad we can finally have offline classes and I can easily revise using online classes. By the way I am a person who studied in a private school until 10th, but because of lockdown and financial reasons I had to give 12th from Bihar board instead of CBSE . And believe me!! My friends who were in a similar situation, skipped classes so they can attend coaching classes. Although the teaching was okay.. but the teachers were taking an whole hour just to explain a single topic!! Even I thought.. It would be good to learn things on my own.. so you could understand
You're spot on to elaborate on two legacy issues which are less talked about...Zamindari System and Instability during 1970s... Being a Bihari..i would like to just add few points... The primary and secondary schooling is still average but the actual rot lies in the higher education in Bihar Second, One very less talked about thing is the enormous growth of Girl students witnessed in Bihar due to Govt schemes and scholarships... They are almost at par with the Boys which was unthinkable 15 yrs back And lastly, I think the main weak point of Bihari students is English due to lack of good teachers... In maths they are better than many states as per the reports by PRATHAM. .. Just to mention... When DU decided to have CUET instead of entrance exam... Bihari students were the highest beneficiaries and their numbers increased as shown by Indian Express... So in crux there is no dearth of talent among the Biharis... Little bit of support enable them to do wonders!!
Thanks brother for highlighting the problems of my state, and skillfully suggesting the solutions as well. Recently I went to write that Bihar staff selection commission examination, there was a tight checking going on there, even shoes were not allowed inside the centre. But when I asked the centre teacher about the previous day paper leak, he unapologetically told, papers aren't leaked, they are sold, sold by the top brass.

Therefore I lost 2 precious academic years of my life and still don't know when the results will be coming out. So, On education level things are pretty bad out hear in Bihar.
I appeared for JEE Mains and Advanced in 2015. And my biggest fear was that I might fail in 12th board due to this corrupt Bihar board and might not get an engineering college in spite of clearing JEE. Luckily that didn't happen. In 2 years (11th and 12th) I went to school (if it can be called a school 😞) only during exams. The school infrastructure was absolutely pathetic. No fans, broken benches, cracked walls and what not. Teacher used to come there only to pass time. And obviously we cheated openly during board exams :)

Officials tell them to maintain paperwork irrespective of teaching students, so much of their time goes into administrative work plus 400+ students are handled by 4-5 teachers. The villagers are also not very supportive of the school and their child education. Salaries are credited after 3-4 months of work. Sometimes he feels very depressed.

When me and my parent reached the college for queries then we got to know that there is no faculty in college, students which have been studying there are all by themselves, they reached D.M and C.S to provide teachers for them but from 1 yr all they have got is hope ,then I got to know that the old a.n.m school's principal will do the procedure of admission, and they did not give any contact no. and there is no website of college,I am in all dark that when will they call for admission.........
Ur from Bihar only or other state ,if you r from other state u should have taken admission to other state instead of knowing Bihar education system is not good why you have taken such decisions...
100% true. I'm from Bihar 🥲 but my whole siblings are studying in Lucknow due to lack of education in Bihar. As we are capable of shifting in another state for studies but many ( most of the ) families can't afford this . I hope the condition of Bihar Will improve soon
Being a Bihari...... My sister is good in study and she is in 12th, will appear for this year exam but always worried about wrong result by BSEB( bihar board )..........
Still I can observe that Student who are study outside Bihar state and get good score and later later Bihar get fame because Student is from Bihar . For Bihar need 1. Population control bill 2. Digital system to crack down corruption .3. Remove Caste system politics
I was in 2017 batch i failed i moved to odisha got admission into top college name BJB AUTONOMOUS now working in US BASED MNC Company from home , Btw i got 2 in chemistry and 1 in physics
I'm a student who had failed in 2017 in Physics, what those questions yaar... Really I can say it was much close of JEE. But we must thank to Anand Kishor, the chairman of BSEB, he has been doing all the effort since 2017 and now BSEB is running very well
When I was in college I saw my Bihari friend was struggling with some fundamentals of a subject. I asked him how come he passed 12th without knowing this stuff.. He told me how they used to reach the guides they hid under a bridge near school.. I think there should be some kind of awareness of how the proper education can help them further in life through some kind of counseling. A councelling for both students and their guardians.. 👁️

Mohak sir pranam. Things to add:
1) BSEB( Bihar school examination Board) publishes admit card for students appearing 10th/12th examination.

Exactly,,,मेरे भी Exam में ऐसा ही हुआ था।

As Khan sir (ironically from Bihar) said "our education system have two problems, first Education and second System"
Now, conditions is improved but not completely so thank you bhaiya for rising this problem
Thanks sir for discussing the Bihar eduction crises

Thank you sir for highlighting the problems of Bihar ❤️
Thank you brother for making video on bihar education system and making the whole india to see the reality
The primary and secondary schooling is still average but the actual rot lies in the higher education in Bihar
Second, One very less talked about thing is the enormous growth of Girl students witnessed in Bihar due to Govt schemes and scholarships... They are almost at par with the Boys which was unthinkable 15 yrs back
And lastly, I think the main weak point of Bihari students is English due to lack of good teachers...
The student who passed in DU entrance exam are from CBSE board not form Bihar board

Thanks brother for highlighting the problems of my state, and skillfully suggesting the solutions as well.
Recently I went to write that Bihar staff selection commission examination, there was a tight checking going on there, even shoes were not allowed inside the centre.
Our retina were scanned and finger prints were taken. Our class had a network jammer as well.
But when I asked the centre teacher about the previous day paper leak, he unapologetically told, papers aren't leaked, they are sold, sold by the top brass.
@@tbraghavendran why not, I have studied for the examination and have put efforts, no matter what the situation be, the least I can do is to put my efforts, I can't assure the result but can guarantee my efforts!

situation is same for me getting only 60 percent overall in up board but in jee mains 2022 got 92.5 percentile was getting a seat in NIT ANDHRA PRADESH did not wanted it convinced myself for a drop but IIT GUWHATI introduced 75 percent criteria this year so now it really shattered my dream all the hard work i put in for 2 years is wasted
for context: i got 90 percent in icse board in 2020 and 94 in eng lit and 79 in eng lang but U.P board has so much high standard for eng that they only alloted me 48 out of 100... its really not fair to have this kind of eligibility criteria as jee mains and jee adv are enough to determine a students true potential only passing the board should be enough and i know for a fact
many teachers in these state boards are not even qualified to teach
Aree no no there is one more criteria also. To be in top 20%ile of top successful candidates in your respective class 12th board examinations. Generally applicable for state boards as getting 75%marks is not an easy task in state boards.See if you will be eligible through this criteria. Go and check it out in the information brochure of iit Guwahati.

⚠Must Read⚠ My father is a government teacher and his non-teaching duties are performed by him - Election duty, toilet counting in the village, Census 2023, duties in the alcohol ban, conducting school member elections, and many more.

Because teacher not teaching that why govt taking teacher to other field why govt pay to teacher without working
My father is principal in gov school, when he was qualified for his post that time , bpsc took exam (1994) and that was so tuff, and today they are in census duty😐, what is this and why , teachers are not for other census and legal paper work , I'm also from Bihar board and i realised that we didn't get proper guidance but still we are so hardworking, we are so strong in STEM subject but we can't utilise our knowledge 😐
