Not related to this video, but this must be said because today in the world indigenous day. Being tribal doesn't mean indigenous. Meenas and Bhils are indo Aryan. Santhals and Mundas are austro Asiatic. None of them are indigenous here. If there existed a fixed criteria for tribal identity , Meenas won't even qualify that. The ethnic war in Manipur was because of demand of tribal status, a status which many communities are getting and they can not be challenged since there is no criteria to know if any community is really tribal by lifestyle or not.

But now the trend is changing, people are more smarter.. started to showcase their failures/realities. they'll represent themselves as if they so innocent, coz not hiding anything.. I think, I have a good example of news channel/RUclips channel i.e. Lallantop. They criticise the govt./oppositions. They question the leaders, they focus rural areas and urban also. They discuss economy/Berozgari. Health, entertainment anything to everything. I know they also create contents for more & more views/revenue but also fulfilling the core responsibilities of being a media channel. These are just my views.

Wonderful analysis on the current state of media. I believe 2014 was a turning point for journalism in India. Many points discussed in the video were also prevalent before 2014 as well. There were many journalists during that time also who were not very happy with the governmental access that media houses like NDTV had. But, what changed after 2014 was that the common man was completely taken out of the equation. While before 2014 there were biases in media, issues like inflation, corruption and other citizen-issue were debated upon. Media was the institution that used to question. But, now what we see them do is question everyone apart from the people in power. Focus has turned to becoming the mouthpiece of the government. And the citizens have also unknowingly become part of this.
The problem in the media is being neutral , take NDTV OR INDIAN TODAY OR REPUBLIC all are biased on the government side or opposition side if they are really neutral that will be good .. But no use ..
I had already lost all the hope from Indian Media still there are people who love to watch “News.” The 4th pillar of democracy is supposed to be Voice Of Citizens but its the other way around. Criticism of Government Policy to highlight loopholes and conveying the benefits of policies to citizens what media is supposed to do but sadly current era media is a mere lapdog of government toeing government’s agenda to survive.

Wonderful analysis on the current state of media. I believe 2014 was a turning point for journalism in India. Many points discussed in the video were also prevalent before 2014 as well. There were many journalists during that time also who were not very happy with the governmental access that media houses like NDTV had. But, what changed after 2014 was that the common man was completely taken out of the equation. While before 2014 there were biases in media, issues like inflation, corruption and other citizen-issue were debated upon. Media was the institution that used to question. But, now what we see them do is question everyone apart from the people in power. Focus has turned to becoming the mouthpiece of the government. And the citizens have also unknowingly become part of this.
The problem in the media is being neutral , take NDTV OR INDIAN TODAY OR REPUBLIC all are biased on the government side or opposition side if they are really neutral that will be good ..
But no use ..

I had already lost all the hope from Indian Media still there are people who love to watch “News.” The 4th pillar of democracy is supposed to be Voice Of Citizens but its the other way around.
