1.I think ek entrance exam hona chaiye politicians k liye jo ye check kre ki unme decision making skills hai ya nahi, sath hi atleast basic chije jo ek leader me ho wo sari chije hai yaa nahi. Jo bhi ise clear kr le uski education kuch bhi ho wo kabil hoga/hogi. 2. Voting se pehle har center me ek survey jaisa kuch ho. Jisme check box format me ummidwaro ki details ho like education, criminal records etc. har voter jo vote dene jaye use ye survey patra jama krna ho. Tab unhe parcha de diya jaye. Isse atleast 50% logo ko bhi jankari hogi to sahi chunav ho payega.

See, it is a very valid point but the issue is that quality is a subjective term. How do you define quality education and how will you ensure that the quality standards are being followed. The problem with our country is the population. With such a huge population it becomes difficult to manage quality and when QC happens we have seen bribery and corruption to make sure that the matter is not further escalated. Due to the huge population, the primary objective of every Indian is to earn as much money as possible. So, the whole thing is completely related and providing quality education becomes a big challenge. What we can do is to go for a pilot project where we provide quality education as per ministry or global guidelines and observe the effects. Then we increase the sample size to follow the same pattern.
but that would create lack of representation of disadvantaged communities in positions of power. If qualifications are introduced, those that have the resources to qualify will have an unfair advantage
I asked this question to my political science teacher in 10th grade, I still remember his quirky reply,” A learned criminal is times worse than an unlearned one 😂”
But then a learned criminal will escape the punishment and will ultimately affect the society. Its better to Have a learned public to counter such things. But TBH that line was awestruck
exactly. I feel we Indians are more naive than other people and I definitely dont want our leader to know the ways to manipulate us. freaking 1.5 billion people.
I think an entrance exam, without strict qualification requirements, would be beneficial. It doesn't have to be as challenging as UPSC or IIT exams, but it should ensure that candidates possess basic knowledge related to the specific area they are applying for.
Indian politics is a hellhole anyone wise enough would not join it if he doesn't want to and you can still work for the nation without becoming a politician so💁

We should come up with a test of nationalism, I don't know how but I think this would be a great way to solve the problem. We need to filter people who think about the country before themselves!
That's because you have to compromise your honesty if you want to enter into politics. Think yourself- how will the system be not corrupt when you have to bribe the party to get the tkt to fight the elections!!?? Obviously then the motive of that neta will be to regain that money and make profits while he is in position.
@@curiouslycurious10What would that change? We already have millions of people who are willing to fight for the country so there is no shortage of nationalist people there. Second we are a democratic country hence we should be allowed to leave or enter the country whenever we want(legally of course). Third the reason why educated people do not take part in politics is because they know nothing can be changed. The government conducts raids on journalists if they speak against them. If you get stuck in a case then it would take literal years to get cleared of all charges even if you are innocent. Any person who knows not to get into this mess wouldn't involve themselves with politics.
@@user-xc9wk2tv8m as I said we need to filter such people genuinely, not for the sake of elections. See if one is Nationalist then he will think of the country first irrespective of his right or left ideology ( I prefer central).
There is fourth option. That is, we keep "Entrance course" and not "Exam". For those who want to fight election, they need a course (Basic of few month) to qualify. This course may include only listening and answering and NOT writing for those who don't know how to write. But irrespective of that, we need "Entrance course".

This result is not the outcome of education but frustration. Educated part of the society understands how the voting procedure takes place and knows that their vote won't be of any significance. This fact might be depressing but it is far from being false.

I strongly believe in that there should be minimum qualification for politicians. For the counter argument i agree that education don't means intelligence but if someone is intelligent or capable to run the state then they should be also capable of achieving a graduation in there field of interest.
If you'll observe it's more of memory thing than skill/ vision needed to run state . Might be helpful but it's not a guarantee just being educated it'll make the operations more efficient
Actually, what you believe is not that leaders should be educated but rather leaders with a buy-out degree. You know who makes the most money? People with most experience in the field with skill set that could back those claims. Yes, a bought out degree can get you to the interview. But if you fail to even answer the most basics of conceptual questions, you'll stay just a dude with high priced degree.

Yeh but many of leaders didn't have both of them they only got money or criminal history( i am talking about all parties) And in my opinion leadership skills doesn't come just genetically a good leader needs an understanding of what he had to do for betterment of society ( and i am not generalising here )

Also, being educated does not mean being literate. An educated person does not only know how to read and write but also knows the difference between what is right and what is wrong, is aware of their rights and duties as a citizen and how to create a better and equal society for all.
I am in favor of the first option (having a minimum qualification and/or an entrance exam), because although there's no guarantee (can't say for sure) that an educated person will be more intelligent or more able to handle their responsibilities as a politician, but as we saw, the studies showed that on average, it leads to better outcomes.
IN my opinion we should have entrance exams for ministry and ministers appointment so that we can have specialists leading the ministry just like dr. s jai shankar, nitin gadkari , piyush goyal rather than making ministers like lallu yadav as railway minister
Not just ministries but also heads of federations and top bodies. Otherwise, you have people like Amit Shah's son and that Brij Bushan on top of our heads.
One should always strive for an educated politician but should not confuse education as a gauge for good leadership. At the end of the day, a good 'leader' is more desirable rather than a good academician. It also pretty much depends on the position where a particular politician is appointed. The current centre has good politicians and by extension good ministers for the cabinet but the same is lacking in many states.

Politics is not only about education it's about leadership and integrity. These cannot be taught, we should learn them by being with people, understanding ourselves, people and society. One last thing, since when on earth does being educated and intelligent means being a good, honest, moral, capable leader
Skills and education are not two different entities They both are interconnected Education is to develop one's theoretical and practical knowledge in his/her field and develop relevant skills It's just our system where things are not in place
1.There should an entrance exam to check the specific skills like communication, decision making, thought process, etc. 2. The video is interesting. You left the audience hanging. Actually, what I think is that education as you said in the video does not define intelligence. But education can do one thing, i.e., it can bring leaders who are well refined. A demand of educated leaders will then concentrate the opportunities into the group of people who are getting better education. Then, there will be the answer that only UR and few groups of SCs STs and OBCs are getting education. This will then become a reservation issue. People will complain the Rich get more and better opportunities. So, education or educated person (whom we want as our leaders) will be concentrated in a very small percentage of people. Actually, at the present circumstance we do not need people who are graduates or illiterates(uneducated), we need people who are good by heart who care for people as a human not using others feelings and aspirations as votes and enjoy their political career.

Mohak- > Bureaucracy can serve as a resource for politicians, yet the ultimate authority still resides with the politician. It can assist politicians in the implementation of policies, but it may not necessarily aid in strategic thinking or the determination of the most optimal choices. When a well-educated individual holds decision-making power within a ministry, the potential outcomes tend to be more favorable. WDYT?

Education is not necessary for intelligence. While a basic education (say 10th pass) may be necessary for the basic communication/life skills, it's upon the people to elect their representative. The primary reason why maximum politicians don't have the basic qualification is that the voters haven't paid much heed to education of their representative till today. Why so? Maximum voters are possibly uneducated. Only situation will tell us what happens when maximum voters get educated. Will they pay heed to educational qualification primarily? Or will they choose their leader by looking at their ideology, oration skills and influence? History says in most circumstances the latter takes place, which I believe is rightful; though, a change in example wouldn't be bad to witness
There must be NPET (National Political Entrance Test) followed by Internship based on syllabus prepared by testing agency (like NEET, JEE etc.) then only qualified candidates should be allowed to fought election.
I believe it should be implemented because education alone could not ensure development but it can strongly be a protective measure against things like corruption. Even it will not lead to a change but it can assure that we have done something.
I would choose the third option. The major issue is that the voters are not well informed about the candidates to make a proper choice. This would also leave space for intelligent but uneducated people to also enter into politics. For example those who rose from the grounds through movements and such. Formal education may not have been an option for them. Also it also makes it much more true to freedom and liberty as no one is prevented from participating because of their circumstances but allows the voter to make a proper informed choice.
Amazing Mohak, literally👏.....Ye video kaafi insightful tha. Informed voters hi kyun?...Why not whole public(including politicians and youth) aur sirf election hu kyun...sabhi issues aur policies kyun nhi, jo unke life ko affect krta ho?....agr public informed hogi toh unke leader ko informed hona padega.

There should be an entrance exam! Here's why! People who want to enter the politics should give an exam which is full of questions which are based on logical reasoning. Like case studies and all. And there should be no pass or fail in it. Only the marks scored by poltician should be known to everyone. There is no need to study for exams like this because you will be answering the situations which you will face in future. If the politician can't write or understand then what? ( Answer please) And also correct me if you disagree with me
4th option is - The background of all 3 states *“Basic Understanding”* means the comb of Basic ‘education & intelligence’. (Or) Comb of a basic Entrance exam & basic Interview. *Entrance check Education* & *Interview check Intelligence* Ex.- UPSC exam. Finally, we find right Politician (Leaders) for society. With the increasing literacy rate across the country, over the next two-three decades poeple will be much more aware and educated. As you have already said in your video that we don't need to follow extreme cases like those who had done a tremendous job in improving the condition of masses without having much education but these cases are extremely less. So we need to focus on the average criteria of an educated representative who can deliver better duties than illiterate politicians.😊😊

Fr bro, Indians think Passing entrance exams and having a degree makes them "intelligent". Leadership is what's needed not Education. An Expert in Nuclear physics cannot rule the country. People develop leadership from their life experiences not from mere theory taught in Universities.
In my opinion instead of having entrance exam or any qualification for representation in politics we should give quality education to voters and make them aware about the importance of educated to representative. And also there is no doubt in the fact that being a literate doesn't mean being a knowledgeable.
I think we should start at the panchayat level and go upwards. It will gradually change the system and put pressure on the higher politicians to adopt the same policy.
Thanks, Mohak & Team for bringing up yet another important topic - something which can never be expected from the conventional media due to their mediocrity. This topic is very relevant for the future of our country. I believe any national leader should be selected based on a combination of multiple factors: 1) Performance in entrance exam [relevant for that ministry] 2) Minimum Educational Qualification [Minimum Bachelors in that field] & years of experience in working in that field 3) Votes [during elections] 4) Background Verification Above all being an honest person is more important than being educated - there is no dearth of educated corrupt bureaucrats across countries. The current process of selection of our national leaders through elections must be replaced with something more realistic and practical. Unfortunately, people-pleasing & religion/caste/hate-based politics provide an easy way for extremely mediocre individuals to enter important positions in our government.

1.I think ek entrance exam hona chaiye politicians k liye jo ye check kre ki unme decision making skills hai ya nahi, sath hi atleast basic chije jo ek leader me ho wo sari chije hai yaa nahi. Jo bhi ise clear kr le uski education kuch bhi ho wo kabil hoga/hogi.
2. Voting se pehle har center me ek survey jaisa kuch ho. Jisme check box format me ummidwaro ki details ho like education, criminal records etc. har voter jo vote dene jaye use ye survey patra jama krna ho. Tab unhe parcha de diya jaye. I believe that instead setting a minimum qualification for our politicians, provide a quality EDUCATION to the CITIZEN 🎓🇮🇳
Why not both? And the govt. is already focused on providing quality education (whether it's working or not is another debate).
@@eddie31415
I respect your opinion.
But it would be better to educate the CITIZENS first, So that they can Vote on Development not on Caste & Religion.
And at the end of the day our politician also come from us.
Jai Hind 🇮🇳
See its a paradox the citizen cannot be educated properly if the politician isnt properly educated
Lekin krega kaun aur yeh krne ke liye bhi toh leaders ko educate krna padega na nhi toh wohlog sirf meme banate rahega

That is due to our middle class people mindset. Too selfish and lethargic mindset . The only people who can change our country are middle-class . Ex : french revolution.
Any person who knows not to get into this mess wouldn't involve themselves with politics.

if there was an exam for politicians, most of them wouldn’t even be able to fill out their introduction form
There is fourth option. That is, we keep "Entrance course" and not "Exam". For those who want to fight election, they need a course (Basic of few month) to qualify. This course may include only listening and answering and NOT writing for those who don't know how to write. But irrespective of that, we need "Entrance course".

It is not about intelligence,
It's about equality, that we give to every citizen of this country, weather they were too poor to go to school,
Actually, what you believe is not that leaders should be educated but rather leaders with a buy-out degree. You know who makes the most money? People with most experience in the field with skill set that could back those claims. Yes, a bought out degree can get you to the interview. But if you fail to even answer the most basics of conceptual questions, you'll stay just a dude with high priced degree.

There is a political party called Janasena Party in Andhra Pradesh, they conducted an exam before announcing party tickets to the candidates. Of course, since they marketed themselves as doing zero-budget politics (like not giving Note for Vote) and bringing accountability back, they didn't even win a single seat but were successful in acquiring around 7% of the vote share across Andhra
Great work. Well put. The reasearch done for the video and the narrative put forward was excellent. It was completely a non-biased narration, putting forward the viewpoints of both sides. Also the research done for the video deserves a shoutout too.
Actually, at the present circumstance we do not need people who are graduates or illiterates(uneducated), we need people who are good by heart who care for people as a human not using others feelings and aspirations as votes and enjoy their political career.
he does that in every video
👍

To give education to those who want to keep up the Caste System is not to improve the prospect of Democracy in India but to put our Democracy in India in greater jeopardy.
-Dr. B. R. Ambedkar
EXACTLY!!!.... I couldn’t agree with him more.
Not relevant but fully flaunted and practised…
My father is less educated than me but he knows better how to run the family well, leadership and educational qualifications are different ,grow up boy

Mohak I think this discussion is very balance and best. please make this types of video again 🙏
Again white shirt good 😂❤️ He is providing more information than media channels and educating ppl with great knowledge, topics and subject. Mohak is awsm in all aspects. 💯
Dr Ambedkar had great insight. We r still not ready for compusory minimum educational qualification.
Yes I think that there should be an entrance exam because 1. Reserch proves it 2. If the argument is that 'many' non educated or less educated politicians or representatives performed good, it doesn't mean that 'most' of them did better.
I wanted this video since years thank you so much ❣️

Mohak- > Bureaucracy can serve as a resource for politicians, yet the ultimate authority still resides with the politician. It can assist politicians in the implementation of policies, but it may not necessarily aid in strategic thinking or the determination of the most optimal choices. When a well-educated individual holds decision-making power within a ministry, the potential outcomes tend to be more favorable. WDYT?
Sir, the bureaucracy includes generalist service like IAS as well. IAS officers generally have a birds eye view of the policy and their implementation. (Read it as a part of the generalist vs specialist debate of the Indian bureaucracy)
AAP leader kejeriwal also IITien but he use his education in liqour scam and not singh any document but he did scam use manis siosdia and other people - wrong people more fatal with high education we need to choose right people - disagreement is acceptable reaply - and spread awerness

Best is Option 3: Spread awareness about candidates.
History says in most circumstances the latter takes place, which I believe is rightful; though, a change in example wouldn't be bad to witness
education is important but moral and ethical education is more important not just for politician but for all of the people.
There must be NPET (National Political Entrance Test) followed by Internship based on syllabus prepared by testing agency (like NEET, JEE etc.) then only qualified candidates should be allowed to fought election.
What will make them successful?
Education is not important, important is honesty.
😊😂
Yes
But honesty sirf bhagwan hi check kar sakta hai aur koi nahi
😂😂😂 honesty woh bhi kisi ajnabi ki umid krte rahe toh gaya india .
I believe it should be implemented because education alone could not ensure development but it can strongly be a protective measure against things like corruption. Even it will not lead to a change but it can assure that we have done something.
9:40 neonatal births are not measured in percentage. It really distracted me from the video. Its 3 or 20 deaths per 1000 lives births
Yes u are right it is 2.8% in India which means it is less than USA's. He should have checked this fact correctly.
Having degree is not equal to having good intentions or being smart
I'm a college dropout who met many degree holders who don't even know basic general knowledge which i have but still they boast about their degree 😂
Imagine if bill gates, Steve jobs, or Google founders were told to have a qualification before being owner and chief of the company we wouldn't have been watching this video right now.
The only exam for politicans is the election.
ये सब छोड़ो, आम पार्टी को defend करता हुआ video बनाओ जल्दी से, नहीं तो संजय सिंह जूता से मारेगा 😂😂😂😂
😂😂
There should be an entrance exam!
Here's why!
People who want to enter the politics should give an exam which is full of questions which are based on logical reasoning. Like case studies and all. And there should be no pass or fail in it. Only the marks scored by poltician should be known to everyone. There is no need to study for exams like this because you will be answering the situations which you will face in future.
If the politician can't write or understand then what? ( Answer please) And also correct me if you disagree with me

We all know what the educated politician did for 70+ years and a uneducated man did in 9 years ( he have a degree of political science)
4th option is - The background of all 3 states *“Basic Understanding”*
means the comb of Basic ‘education & intelligence’.
(Or) Comb of a basic Entrance exam & basic Interview.
*Entrance check Education*
& *Interview check Intelligence*
Ex.- UPSC exam.
Finally, we find right Politician (Leaders) for society. [who has both qualities]
I agree. At least there should be a basic exam (like selecting for top 70% or 50%).
With the increasing literacy rate across the country, over the next two-three decades poeple will be much more aware and educated. Maybe then we can implement such process like South Korea to define eligibility for Leaders of our Nation.
But I am quite surprised that Europe was never mentioned even ones in the entire video. I am curious about what European opinion would be on this topic, where mostly people are educated enough.
Yes first we need educated people more than educated politians because at the end we make them win the election 😅
An educated man can also be a corrupt leader..
Kejriwal is the biggest example.
Absolutely 💯

2. Relevant Work Exp prior to joining Politics
3. Mental Efficiency & Political Aptitude

As you have already said in your video that we don't need to follow extreme cases like those who had done a tremendous job in improving the condition of masses without having much education but these cases are extremely less. So we need to focus on the average criteria of an educated representative who can deliver better duties than illiterate politicians.😊😊
According to me
1) Entrance Examination
2)Minimum qualification
3) developmental Growth Test
make it mandatory for every election advertisement to mention its leaders's educational qualification.....and then let voters decide😂😂
That'll be real funny tbh.

Both are required to run a country...
Giving education is not the solution, but it is the right step.
S Jaishankar is best in the field but the question is can BJP win election under his guidance ? And is No
I think we should start at the panchayat level and go upwards. It will gradually change the system and put pressure on the higher politicians to adopt the same policy.
There should be a educational qualification for all politicians 📈✅📈
Thanks, Mohak & Team for bringing up yet another important topic - something which can never be expected from the conventional media due to their mediocrity. This topic is very relevant for the future of our country. I believe any national leader should be selected based on a combination of multiple factors:
1) Performance in entrance exam [relevant for that ministry]
2) Minimum Educational Qualification [Minimum Bachelors in that field] & years of experience in working in that field
3) Votes [during elections]
4) Background Verification
Above all being an honest person is more important than being educated - there is no dearth of educated corrupt bureaucrats across countries. The current process of selection of our national leaders through elections must be replaced with something more realistic and practical. Unfortunately, people-pleasing & religion/caste/hate-based politics provide an easy way for extremely mediocre individuals to enter important positions in our government.
Opposition candidate has no experience in any field...
Trillion % perfect topic please continue the topic always must need exactly education& exams.
