I love to ride and use both Highways and back roads depending on what kind of riding I'm doing. Which one is your favorite and why? Let us know by commenting below. Stay in the wind.
I ride both highways and back roads. I prefer back roads, as they generally have less traffic. A couple of years ago, I was ride south From Ft. Benning to Tallahassee and I was on US27. I didn't see another vehicle for over a hour and a half. That was riding bliss. Just me and scenery.
I didn't mind the isolation, but not finding gas or rest stops when I needed them was different. What were you doing in Benning? Home of the Infantry. Thanks for watching. Stay in the wind.
@@sandmanrides4318 Visiting Harmony Church, where I took AIT. Yes, the issue of finding gas can be a challenge. Last year I was riding through SC, then over to Toccoa and then down to Savannah. I stopped at a little Mom and Pop shop in the backwoods of Ga. to get gas. The pumps were the squat square pumps from the 70's. About an hour down I-15 I got to thinking that they probably don't sell a lot of premium gas there and how old the gas was. Sure enough my engine quit about 15 miles from Savannah. The Harley dealer got the old gas out and it looked like urine from a severely dehydrated person. So that's another thing to consider when getting gas, when riding the back roads.😆
Just like you stated, need to get somewhere in a hurry, take the highways. Got all the time in the world, take the back roads. I have found that both offer great views as well as easier to find servies. However, here in the northeast US, I find that I am rarely to far from a gas station, restaurant or restroom.
BACK ROADS for me! But you already knew I’d say that!! Long highway rides (30+ minutes 😂) are boring to me. I love the back roads, the small restaurants, the people, the scenery, less traffic… It’s amazing how much I’ve seen just within an hour or two of my residence. I’ve done the long highway miles when it was the practical decision. but quiet back roads are no doubt, my preference. Thanks for another great video! Airborne All The Way!! 🪂
I have used mostly Back Roads on my trips.....I usually plan fairly well for them and some of the unexpected...Highways are good except when the drivers behind you RIDE YOUR TAIL ! Depends on the desires...but again..usually travel the backs. Enjoyed the video Sandman !!

@@TheBdb869@TheBdb869 Harmony Church was my training ground, too in 1978. Small world. Stay safe, brother.
@@sandmanrides4318 You as well my friend! I was there in 1986 when I reclassified to 11B.

No doubt! Thanks for watching.
Backroads, dogs, driveways and farm equipment. Superslabs, loose wheels, road gators and the accordion effect.
All of the above. Thanks for watching.
What else can you wish for?!! 😆👍🏼👍🏼
