So far this is the best track released. Hands down.
I think the 7 is as good.
Anthony Fantano (a RUclips music reviewer) actually liked the Seven more, kind of surprising really. I can't decide which is better honestly.
The Trek is amaze balls, aswell.
Vnica Hyrt i like the 7 and the trek more (trel being my fave)
Guys, am I the only dork to just now realize the name play on words? Christopher P. Bacon...Chris P. Bacon...Chris P. on dem fryz pleeeze!

Beautiful concept album Les. I love you man, thank-you! ! !
It seems Primus is becoming a prog rock band. I ain't complaining tho.
always was...
Not really. At least not to the point of making a story-telling album.
They are adapting a storybook. This isn't even the first album to adapt this storybook.
But yeah theyve always been pretty progy.
Well, they haven't done anything like this before the Chocolate Factory album (that is fairly recent). They also never really sounded that much psychedelic. Plus the odd time signatures and the addition of several subdivided rythyms in these recent songs is something very common in prog, but very unfrequent in their older albums.
They have told many stories throughout the years.. e.g. The ol' diamondback sturgeon.. maybe not an entire album but they definitely have told stories with more than one song attached to it
Red and Orange are really an item, huh?
yeah in every painting theyre touching
I see this comment on almost every new vid, was it not obvious to start at least some of them would be gay?
Stone Cold Stipe good point lmao
@Michellle Foucault XVI WTF RU talkin bout?
@All American Chutzpah sounds good to me
This is some cool shit, I listen to this over and over and I did always wonder what happened to ol Lee, man primus is suckin bad on this one, love it man.
Awesome, can't wait to see it live in Albany.
I'm glad I saw them back in August, but I'm upset I didn't get to see them play this album. They only played the seven.
Which show did you go to in august? I went to Berkeley on 8/18
WyvernSkin 8/2 in Mankato
WyvernSkin isnt berkeley a war zone right now?
i want christopher P bacon to read to me every night before I sleep
Les is the Hendrix of the bass. In a league with Chris Squire, Geddy Lee, and Stanley Clarke. And tops that list.
I'd argue but I don't feel like fighting. I'll just say that I like all of them just as equally and be happy with that.
Absolutely truth!
if les is the hendrix of bass.
what does that make buckethead?
Colonel Sanders biggest fan.
If Stanley Clarke is on that list - Victor Wooten and Marcus Miller should be on there as well - Nuclear Rabbit anyone?
OOOH WEE This song is sick as shit!!!
Only bested so far by "The Trek". Is it just me, or is every song they've released so far BETTER than the previous one (with the exception of "The Valley", which is just OK)? The Seven, awesome. The Scheme, even better. The Trek...I'm in heaven...
awsome tune primus love it guys.good bass tapping bro
Best song so far
Love it. I'm picking up a little bit of allegory here.
Darcy Klyne
yo yu suf me
catman y
Heavy allegory laden. Massive truth drops of our reality in that book source inspiration for the music.
microphone in the narration is very vintage it seems like. from the 1660's is my estimation
I just want the next one to come out already
10/21 will see you guys in Houston
Ill be at that show too!
Same here
This song is too fucking short.
¿Soy yo o esta canción es parecida a "Captain Larriat" de Claypool Lennon Delirium"?
Les put that bass in its place!
greeenpro
I wonder what it did for him to slap it like that

primus sucks, mate
Somebody who understands please explain to me what the hell this band is about. I'm 53 and just recently discovered this band via Wynonna's BBB. Instrumentally a genius song! I have mad respect for the talent in this band. I want to like them but this is some weird shit. I don't get it. Is this for people who take drugs???
The band has a chant that fans sing that goes "Primus Sucks"... but here is Claypool (bassist, singer) talking about it in an interview:
"Les Claypool: Primus was always that thing you couldn't put your finger on. How many times have I seen folks try to categorise Primus, and it's not possible. People ask me all the time. When I run into folks, whether it's at a hardware store or an event, and they find out I am a musician and ask what kind of music I play, I say "I have no idea." I don't know what the hell it is. It's the reason we have this longevity with our career. When the different trends and what not happen after it peaks, and subsequently there are valleys, we weren't part of any of that, so we never had those peaks and valleys. We always sort of produced under the radar."
taken from the Quietus website
wow this really sucks

C R E A M Y
Another great read from 'Chris P. Bacon' 😂
I won back stage passes in mid 90’s , also had that book as a kid, loving it🤙
Best song so far honesty.
MurdyJane Official the trek is my favorite so far, but this is a close second for sure
Songs so far are great, only the valley Im not crazy about.
daddysensei Silver The Valley is my second favorite song so far dude
+MurdyJane Official I'm hpoing to like it more within the context of the album. For me, it's less song based than the others.
I like the 7 as much.
That awesome baseline!!!
This album is wild AF.. but its kind of legendary. PRIMUS SUCKS! Thanks Les
.....and in the end the 7 goblins created a portal to our world so we could bask in their glorious colors. They would dance drink and play as we watched in awe and wonder. Orange was the brightest of them all always trying to outshine his fellow goblins unintentionally created resentments from the other 6. Jealousy and envy infected their benevolent souls as they conjured up a magical spell to turn the magnificent orange goblin to grey. "BLASPHEMY" orange goblin said as he reigned down orange fire on the six. Obscured by the bright flames they bowed down and asked for forgiveness. Orange being a compassionate glimmering goblin forgave the 6 and so the 7 reconciled to once again show off their opulent colors in the realm of humans.......
This was amazing
aloverofcutthings b y
u hurtr Mr me
Must have been tripping hard when they wrote this whole album
It is possible to achieve the drug facilitated state without the drug, once you know the path through the labrynth of distractions and pitfalls.
Saw them play the seven live and i knew this was going to be an awesome album
I am semen
Agree
It's ok to be semen bro. We all used to be it
So excited to see you guys in Albany at the palace theatre!

So will I! Can't wait for more songs to come out, so Far it's Fantastic!
NYDeadHeadIW cool! I'm excited as well
I bet these goblins can't resist skittles.
Mr. LaLonde is always in undeserved shadow of Dr. Claypool........
My god Primus sucks so much
And forgive me the neuroverse reset is Edward Boyden 's. BRAINBOW AND EBRAIN's jason matheny 's elephant in the room s imulation to pre s it your antisocial pass as t the kiosk
My friend had a blown out completely system in his car and asked me to play the best bass song for him and I did and it added completely different compliment to the song. Primus sucks
Um...could somebody help me with something? (Excuse my bad english)
A friend and I are developing a RPG, Persona-like. One of the dungeons, Highway to Hell, has so much Primus-influenced music. Could somebody tell me what Primus song could we use for inspiration for the boss encounter theme?
Thanks in advance
Álvaro Márquez I'd say the end of Frizzle Fry.
Controlled chaos at it's finest.
How's this project going? Sounds awesome
Maybe a little sample of "Hamburger Train," perhaps?
I saw them in Redmond in august, definitely best show I have ever been to
Augustus Crane I saw Les with BucketHead 2011 in Spokane WA absolutely amazing
The Redmond show was my first ever concert and by god was it a great concert
"Enamoring the masses less than wise", indeed. Lol!
Might sound weird but this has like a devious tone to it
Primus suck
Primus please make a White Goblin continuation. I've never been so enamored with a piece of music in my life. I didn't think it was possible. And to think it's based on a children's picture book. Each and every listen leaves me speechless.
And then once you realize they ripped off the idea from an artist in the 80s and go back and hear the original
@abigsweetman they're not 'ripping it off', they're covering the story through a new lens.
The art work is beautiful. Is it from the book?
Wyatt Siefert yes
Is this the one where they killed Jesus. That album cover better not be misleading!
I can’t wait for this album. It’ll suck.
This feel like Atrositus is telling the Red Lantern Corp a night time story about the Gaurdians so they can sleep tight with hate in their hearts.
So _that's_ Mr. Krinkle!
That ‘chuggy’ rainbow pan-in part tho...
"Colourflow in Mind" by Porcupine Tree.
I'll be seeing them in LA in December. Taking my daughter for her first concert. I'm glad she will always have the memory of seeing one of the sickest bands of all time as her first show. #lesismore
Joe Cramer are you taking me too dad?
Jake Armstrong the more the merrier my friend
Joe Cramer that's BAD TO THE BONE so awesome I hope she loves it
THE VANDAL me too, it'll be a real keep her off the pole parenting moment.
Joe Cramer Primus was my second concert in July of this year, they have amazing concerts!!!!
I clicked thumbs up and then play to listen to the song.
This is almost old school Primus. Which is the best Primus.
That one dislike is from a rainbow lover.
imagine trying to interpret color into Primus
The riffs children... Ohhh hooo the riffs!
Probably their most progressive song? No? Help me out here.
Sylas Cormack

Primus sucks
This is pure cheese. This sucks.
They sail the seas of cheese.
Reposhoo While they frizzle pork cheese?
But no soft drinks to go with it...they're anti-pop. Oh wait, they got some tasty cola 'round here...
"Pop" is what we Pittsburghers call soda/cola.
Primus sucks, don't ya know?
