I love how in the real video the cowboy shoots and breaks the bottles, then a couple of times he shoots and the bottle doesn't break, and he looks surprised. Then he walks up and angrily wipes the bottle off the fence with his arm. It looks like this vid at 6:49 to 7:03 explains how this came about: the yellow box triggering device for the bottle breaker apparently malfunctioned, and the Director kept the "malfunction" as part of the "Bit".😄

One of their items is the 7-Layer Burrito, because it supposedly has 7 layers of beans, cheese, beef, etc. The whole song is Les being whimsical and naughty with double entendres because he doesn't like writing lyrics at all and that sort of thing amuses him. To say a beaver (a vagina) "smells like 7 layers" is to insinuate that Wynona has a stinky vagina that smells like a bean and beef burrito. Or... possibly, it literally means that Wynona's pet beaver enjoys eating at Taco Bell (as Les's lovingly hand-drawn illustrations in the music video suggest... no, not kidding, he drew those). tales from the punch bowl is pretty much my favorite album. I was in high school when it came out and I saw them on tour at Palm Beach. they put on such a good performance and it pisses me off that there were idiots throwing stuff at them because they were amped up after watching helmet and promise was more mellow. after that concert I really really got more into Primus and as a drummer I really admire Tim Alexander and I would really love to hang out with this band sometime in my life. that would be my make a wish. their videos are so over the top and I had good times growing up and glad that this band was helping making it happen. you have my support..

I just watched Wynona's Big Brown Beaver the other day and was in total awe! I'm a primarily black & white photographer who shoots with film, doing the film processing and printing at home. But this music video was so colorful and the shot angles so mind blowing that I am inspired to shoot some color. Or, if anything, experiment with different views and angles. Thanks for the very informative video on how Wynona's Big Brown Beaver was produced. Not to mention, I wondered how these gentlemen were able to appear to move so swiftly in such awkward costumes.
