This guy deserves much more subs and views. He delivers in every video again. They short, but they give you an almost complete understanding of the area in just a few minutes. Always feel fulfilled when I watch Sly videos. Especially as I live in a cold, stressed country like The Netherlands. I need these videos to calm down, I really do.
For me, Brazil is hands down the best place in all of Latin America. Variety, tons of beaches, best parties I’ve ever been to, the most beautiful women, ultra relaxed outgoing locals, amazing food. The only con I can think of is the safety in some cities and maybe the prices although I think nowadays the dollar is pretty strong there. You need to explore the south a bit, most travel bloggers ignore it, but florianopolis is the coolest place I’ve ever been to.
@@ej1692 I was mainly in the south. I'm not saying Brazilian women are ugly. I'm saying compared to the rest of south anerica; primarily in the north. They're not special, only typical
I am a female and I want to do what you are doing but I am afraid. I love languages. It's great that you are challenging yourself. When I saw your title, I was pretty impressed. Portuguese is a beautiful language. Thanks for sharing your videos.
Just dip your toes into the water. You will learn that things are mostly cool and that you will be okay. Slower travel is less expensive and more fulfilling. You can work on your language skills before your trip. There are foreigners who have lived there for years who cannot speak or cannot speak well. If you put in a bit of daily effort with sentences with audio, you will speak more proficiently than them. Dip your toes in the water. It’s great
Don't be afraid to experience life. I have traveled all over the world by myself with no issues whatsoever. Not one bad experience. You won't be the only traveler and people are more than happy to help you. And If it's safety that you are concerned about, the USA is not the standard of safety. Just remember, common sense goes a long way!!
I get your dilemma. Personally, I'm in a phase of wondering whether to continue thinking, or act. But the funny thing is, whether you step into a car or walking the streets in your town, as humans we are always at risk. It simply comes down to use your common sense. Regardless where you are! Try traveling to a neighboring country, vlog the shit out of it and see what your experiences are. And so on. Sitting still won't make anything happen.
@@1Surinamer Yes, with "common sense" / rational thinking, you can minimize your risk by choosing where you go, when you go and who you go with. If you work on your language skills before you arrive, this will also help you be safer and have a much more fulfilling experience. Change how you dress so that you are not seen as a lucrative opportunity. If you are younger, attempt to meet local people and go out in a group or at least a pair. If you you reside with foreigners who speak your first language or English, you are reducing your exposure to the local language.

I’m going to ask this question again brother: were you required to purchase a forward-on or return ticket before entering Brazil? I know you are super private, so you don’t have tell me where you are going afterwards.
Nice video brother. Can wait to see your exploration. 3. questions: did the airlines require you to purchase a return or forward-on ticket? AND how much data and for how long did you get for that price? AND please clarify whether you needed a CPF number to purchase the card and get data? You stated that a number is required but you were able to purchase SIM card from Claro and bough data from a local drug store.
He used his passport number to buy a SIM card at Clark for 30 reals. Then paid 30 reals cash for service at a pharmacy because his card did not work. It is common for you to need local identification to purchase cell service.
