- I’m really obsessed with this cute dork so I made a self-indulgent compilation of my favorite moments of him. If you actually watched this, I thank you🙏🏼
Game: Dissidia Final Fantasy NT
Character: Vaan Ratsbane, originally from Final Fantasy XII

He saw Cloud being alone and offered to come along. Cloud said he'd rather be alone. He was trying to make sure he wasn't alone. It was cool to see him bounce back like that. That's my favorite character.😁

Yeah he rub off on me first time when I first play FF XII. I wonder why people hate him and why Square Enix made him in the first time
Rolee Mack From what I’ve heard, the developers were originally going to make Basch the main character, but they created Vaan as a late addition because Square thought the game would sell better with a younger protagonist.

@@Cure_Hana he was always intended to be in the game, just as an avatar along with Penelo, just the main character he took from Basch was requested from Square, which i totally agree on
@@Cure_Hana actually he's not late. The early concept of Vaan was that he became "iyashi kei" character. He was created more "rugged" and "world-worn" until the developers considered the younger demographics. So they changed Vaan until we now know today.
Vaan is always be one of my favorite characters in ff they didn't give him his spot in his own game and because of that I will support him
After all this time I finally got what Noctis was saying at the end. He was comparing Vaan to Prompto because they’re very similar in appearance and personalities.

God I'm so happy to hear Vaan again after like 15 years
They all treated Vaan as idiotic but they're all just jealous that he's the only protag that has killed a dragon with 50M life while suffering from a 9999 damage cap. Even Noctis has to use his ring of sort to beat the adamantoise and Lightning is basically a god so her beating Chaos Aeronite is not really a handicap.

I can see why people hate Vaan but he's honestly a Guilty Pleasure VG Character for me.
Same. FFXII is a game close to my heart (it was my introduction to the franchise and what got me into JRPGs), and I still enjoy Vaan as a character even if he was thrown into the game at the last minute.

They hate on him because they are used to aloof and cool characters like Squall and Cloud. The likes of idealistic naive characters like Vaan and Tidus are something that most people can't fathom. They just need to open their mind once in a while.

@@neopolitanedits7987 I read from another thread, that Vaan didn't stand out that much in the game universe he belongs to, despite being the main character. People also complained that other characters from FFXII like Balthier seemed to have a bigger role than him. What they tend to forget, is that Vaan technically represents the player's perspective. I am one of those people that weren't affected by the change of mechanics in Final Fantasy 12 because it was the first FF game I've ever played.

in anime vaan would be the most common type of MC but in FF , hes the minority ,with him leguna and snow. everyone else is emo hah
