Hi guys!! We are traveling on board our dream floating home, finally!!! Let us know what you would like to see and what was your favorite part of this episode! X
Hey Ben, catch a fish. A big fish. MP, see a doctor. Crabs are not good....lol Keep going to places where it feels like your the first people to ever be there. Be explorers. May be get a metal detector to find treasure. Ya never know.
The diving footage was my favourite part although the hike was also really cool. It's great that you are now starting to sail after all the work you put into rebuilding Yaba. Have a ripper you guys and stay safe!
idea: get a aluminum boom off a sailboat scrap yard, rig it to the mast opposite the main boom and use it to hoist your dingy on and off the cabin top. hopefully you can rig a electric winch to it also
@@SavingMaverick55 yes, davits would be good also, the boom thing would be useful for a-lot more than hoisting the dingy. I was thinking that, its has tall boat sides above the water and help to get things aboard.
It was such a good vlog to watch you two building a boat from nearly the ground up. Now your escapades are even better. Not as much stress with the build and more about you guys and your new life on the seas. Fair winds and following seas! Don't forget us while we watch your lives.
It's funny that I sit at my computer every Sunday with a fresh cup of coffee waiting to start my day with Yaba'. As much as I love the projects, it is nice to see you two be able to relax and enjoy Yaba' for what she is. However, this is the first time I have ever seen people so happy to have crabs... See you next Sunday kids!
Good Morning team Yaba-Daba-Do I can see the cloudy skies and also how much fun you guys are having exploring, hiking and swimming and wish I was with you all, wow or should I say WE-HOOoo seriously I'm so happy for you guy's because you're doing what is ment to be done and that's enjoyable memories for the future of living life to the fullest, after all it's not all about money.
What a wonderful video!!! Living the dream. You are a long way from the boatyard!! It will be awesome to see Yaba sailing under full sail in a stiff breeze!!!❤ ❤
Nice to see you two having fun.. well deserved... Beautiful ship, and we need to see it at night, with all the hull lights.. hopefully that night dive happens soon..
Cool intro! Nice edits at an upbeat speed and cool rock music ! Your videos are so nicely polished now. They've always been a pleasure to watch, but now they're a really slick production. It made me realize why I like this channel so much. It's not just the content, it is how much you have studied and learned at such a high level. 🎬 💨 ⛵
3 things to put on your wish list, an autohelm, dive compressor, and a system to get the dingy on and off Yabba. Great vid and so happy to see you get going!
so great to see you on a new adventure i did not think that at the beginning you had any chance of getting you boat fixed , you are both fantastic people have fun on your journeys ..
Great update The journey started years ago, but now we get to travel with you. Both of you learnt so much in the yard Yabá is in the best hands possible 2x👍
Loving the "Sailing" Yaba. It was a long wait with no sailing. Now it is happening, I am so pleased. Can't wait to see where Yabá and crew go. Also looking forward to seeing the progress with the finishing of the interior etc.
Oh, to be young again! Been following your channel since day one and have enjoyed our Sunday coffee following your latest exploits! Where do you guys think you may be sailing to over the coming months or years?
Wat geweldig dat jullie eindelijk jullie droom kunnen najagen na zo’n tijd van hard werken. Wens jullie dan ook veel succes en behouden vaart. Groetjes vanuit het Noord-oosten van Nederland.
What a way to start my week👍👌.... Yaba and her crew sailing in to the horizon..... how lovely to see.... you guy's deserve so much more subscribers...... And all Ben needs now is a talking parrot on his shoulder😉😁😎..... i wishes you fair winds and save travelling..... Greetsz from friesland.... max.....😁👌💛
Great video, love to watch the dogs so cute. Especially happy to finally see you guy's out sailing after a very long, grueling, and difficult refit. Very interesting episode. You two are really fun and impressive to watch.
I recommend the group (Toad the wet sprocket) to add to your playlist. Their music features a lot of soft pop songs and The lead singer sounds a little like Neil Diamond. Just give them a listen and see for yourself.
Great video, I really enjoyed it. Love the underwater photography. Nice to see you are having a great time and living your dream. Keep well and safe. James.
👍👌👏 Oh WOW, simply fantastic! You already look and especially sound so much more happy and enthusiastic. Congratulations 🎉 for being able to sail at last. 2) Good grief! 😱 Those barnacles etc. are a real pest and settle immensely fast. Even the relatively freshly cleaned rudder blade was very dirty again. Thanks a lot for making explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and especially health to all involved life forms (humans, animals and plants).
@10:39 If you ever are in need of a job, you could consider a "loading boom" pointing forward on the aft mast. When not in use, you can let it point straight up to get it out of the way. All the woodwork (and it's finishing) will be happy to see the dingy kept well out of the way...👴🙏😉
I must admit I wondered if Calio would miss the boatyard life. Nt a chance..!! They are living their best life..!! Great snapshot of your cruising lifestyle, and I am glad you got to go diving this week. Looking forward to more of that in future episodes. I think it is time for you to build a classic timber skiff as a tender..!! It looks like you need another project. Ha ha ha ha - Port Townsend - PT Watercraft for example, so it matches the lines of Yabá 😊 Also, I love that you have many cabins and accommodation for family and friends. Truly living the dream..!!
Hi MP and Ben, nice to see that you are enjoying the fruit of hard work of the past years. As much as I enjoyed your adventures in the shipyard, I now like your sailing activities. I think that I've followed all your videos from when you started till now, and yet I do not have the feeling that I know Yabá as it is now. Please share a bit more about living aboard of your boat.
List from your shakedown cruise. 1 Repair or get a new sail, 2 Get a new dinghy or install a boat davit to make it easier to launch it. 3 The deck needs to be finished. 4 Get all your roundtuits done. You know all the things you have to get done when you get around to it.
Hi there Yabá and company, very entertaining watching your videos. 🎉. Nice to see a dream come true and you guys living your dream. Best of luck, good health, prosperity and happy sailing.
wOW, nice uderwater stuff. I always though Brazil was a bit warmer than Southern Aus, Nth of Tassie. No wetsuit. The Spider Crabs were nuthin shorta bludy amazing. Way Kool m8s, done well again, all 5 ofya stay vertical Eh!
Forgive me if I sound like a broken record but MP. You are adorable. Thanks for the video guys. Congratulations on the voyage there’s some happy faces on yabá and thanks for sharing your life with all of us ….hugs for all of you
So nice to go sailing, and I'm looking forward to seeing the 4th sail go up. Ben, You teased us by wondering aloud what speed Yaba was sailing at. You then went to the helm, but failed to let us in on the secret. We're probably all curious to know how well she sails, an occasional glimpse of the instruments would be much appreciated!
21,991st tag-along view about to happen... 1:47 - cool view. 3:15 - always a great moment: engine off; and just riding the wind. 11:01 - who sez guys can't multitask? WTG, Skippah! :0/
It's so very great to see you on the water. God job on getting this beautiful ship back in the game, I'm sure it will serve you well. Thanks for sharing. PS: Is that where the band Sepultura is from?
Hola chicos!!. Les ha quedado muy lindo el Yaba. Todavía se pueden instalar varias velas más, por lo menos tres. Para calibrar la estabilidad instalar de a una por vez.
Hi Ben & MP. You need to get your own dive compressor and drive it off the main engine ,that's what i did on my Bruce Roberts steel ketch i had .Love the video's . Voice from UK
Just a friendly advice: take the rope at least 3 times around the winch before you you put it on the self tailing part (the upper disc). This to avoid bending of the that little arm at the top. I hope you understand my bad explanation :)

Doggy doo cleanup! Getting the crabs was great .
@@mwatkins2464 Running out of content? They’re just finishing one phase of their documented boat life, a whole new chapter is just starting for them.
those 2 pups are adorable. they just love each other and both of you.
A Diving Compressor is a Must Have Happy to see Y'all Sailing and Love the Video's Prayers for Your Safe Travels and journey ahead Peace Ben and MP
It brings me immense joy to witness all of you embracing the beauty of life after enduring such grueling hard work!
Brazil is lovely! Thanks for showing her off!
It really is!
idea: get a aluminum boom off a sailboat scrap yard, rig it to the mast opposite the main boom and use it to hoist your dingy on and off the cabin top. hopefully you can rig a electric winch to it also
Or they could build a set of wooden davits.
@@SavingMaverick55 yes, davits would be good also, the boom thing would be useful for a-lot more than hoisting the dingy. I was thinking that, its has tall boat sides above the water and help to get things aboard.
@@stuartgelinas indeed. With the way Yaba is set up, the davits would work great on the stern deck with a hoisting boom on the main mast.
Thank you both for your energy and wonderful experiences. I feel like I'm with you, and it does my heart good.
It was such a good vlog to watch you two building a boat from nearly the ground up. Now your escapades are even better. Not as much stress with the build and more about you guys and your new life on the seas. Fair winds and following seas! Don't forget us while we watch your lives.

Thanks! A small amount towards a new dingy (hopefully).
Got caught up in how beautiful your home is.
Been here since your first apprearance on ODD Life, when this old girl took on 50 gal per min. Now look at her what a gorgeous wooden monohull.
Amazing !! Ben should dress as Indiana jones when you guys are exploring islands 😂
And so it begins............ 🙂😊
Anyone who doesn't think MP is a super cool woman is probably a very bad person. Love ya MP!!!!
Perhaps it is time for a new dingy? I know they are expensive, but a lighter dingy would make your lives easier. Just a thought! Fair winds.
I used to LOVE night diving!! Laissez les bons temps rouler!!

Wow you are sailing,, who would have thought that when you posted your first video in your worm riddled hull.
So pleased you sailing at last, she does look good.
…but don’t kid yourselves that she is seaworthy, just stick to protected coastal waters.

Sad to see all this beautiful wood work getting distroyd

The tea leaves at the bottom of my cup this morning predict a dive compressor in Yaba’s future.
Yes please!!!! 😍
1 tips! I wrapped tape around my starting beep/horn sound. Doesn't hurt my ear anymore 😉
That would be the first thing I disconnected. I can’t stand that beeping noise and yes it hurts my ears also!!!

You may want to consider adding a swim ladder that is deployable by a person in the water for a safety measure.
Just a friendly advice: take the rope at least 3 times around the winch before you you put it on the self tailing part (the upper disc). This to avoid bending of the that little arm at the top. I hope you understand my bad explanation :)
Use the crabs to catch small fish, small fish to catch big fish....organic fishing :)
Hi Ben, when are you going to finish your deck?
Hey Ben why not put a Broom pole on your back Mast to use as tender lifting . Plus it could be used to tighten Sails
