To be honest I felt like he started chaotic evil and ended chaotic good. Because knowing him he would still be a prankster, albeit a more light hearted one rather than full on malicious, that is if the story continued. Ending with Neutral Good is still satifying
Agreed, though I always thought that Alucard would semi-retire and take up working as a therapist. He seemed to actually like playing therapist and I would feel that he would continue it in someway. Besides, Seras has basically been filling in Alucard's shoes while he was gone, so I think he would generally let Seras handle it with the exception of major battles.
@@bradleybourgeois4710 "alright whose the idiot who decided to threaten the world and piss off the worlds greatest therapist...cause pretty sure I'm looking at em right now" Alucard when forced to deal with a new vampire threat
Chaotic Evil in the beginning, then Neutral good when he is forced to be "dead" (like how integra found him or during the massive group therapy) and Chaotic Neutral leaning Chaotic Good at the end after he finally returns.
THE AMOUNT OF NAT 20 SCENES HE *MUST* HAVe. Also a big point towards the Abridged version of Alucard is that... He honestly talks like a child. "I was minding my own business" "BUT I WAAAAS!!" and most of his immature jokes and such could be read as him just WANTING to feel young and free after being thrusted into a horribly messed up world as a child. He is still an adult and he can still be serious, but it's 100% certain that his "prankster" persona is just him trying to cope with the lack of a normal childhood.
The best damn vampire in anime! Pure Chaotic Neutral energy! And 11 months after the original Alucard got his alignment video, we now have Abridged Alucard. "Hey kids wanna see a dead body!!!" (Post Watch): Only Neutral Good because of the souls he helped. Seems fair. Still Chaotic Neutral for me.
I watched your episode on Kirito from SAO Abridged and thought "Oh man, that reminds me of Hellsing abridged" which I just finished watching 15 minutes ago, and then I see you uploaded this. You have incredible taste
You definitely forgot the Christmas Special where Alucard kills/eats Santa (probably on purpose) and then goes to terrify his way across the countryside until he gets bored and wanders off
Hellsing Abridged played a big part in inspiring my current writing project, and it's very close to my heart. I can only hope that when I'm done I'll have created something half as good as this series.
Chaotic Neutral leaning Chaotic Good imo since he was still the crimson fucker we all knew and loved after he returned form his forced group therapy session
He's Chaotic evil. But said evil is more minor mischief than murder. He's mellowed with age. 8:30 also he has major respect for big J he just wanted to mess with Anderson with the banner.
I loved this series when TFS was making it and that ending they came up with was perfect. I can quote the entire series from memory I have watched it so frequently. On the topic of these videos, you NEED to do TFS Alexander Anderson and Seras Victoria for this series. Anderson has the best quotes next to Alucard, in my opinion, and I love Victoria’s character development.
suprised that you didn't mention that he shot a certain archduke Ferdinand (while blaming it on the other guy), kickstarting WW1 (and the second one by extension).
id argue killing shcrodinger in the meeting is chaotic neutral or chaotic good since he says "was that he she bothering you" since he did it because he believed seras was uncomfortable
I wouldnt really count all the neutral good dings for therapy, since he literally said he was forced into it, and he tried multiple times to kill them first... especially with himself
I would love to see an alignment video for Saiko from HSotD! That being said, OG Hellsing and Hellsing Ultimate are to me the difference between WhiteWolf's Vampire: the Masquerade and its spinoff, Sabat. Where the original sought to reflect on the struggle for Seras to maintain her humanity... Ultimate was mostly Alucard reveling in being a the ancient vampire that he is.
I call BS on 3 millions neutral good points for the ending joke. Even though helping others can most of us agree is satisfying, Alucard did it to safe himself as well. And he had literally nothing else to do.
So the part where you said where Alucard harasses the Catholic Church for no reason, you could actually argue that it's in defense of Integra, and they started it.
4:47 HSOTD is genuinely underrated. I watched it expecting silly ecchi-hijinx and while yes that is also a part of the show, it is also just a solid zombie-apocalypses show.
Early Alucard is a big example of being Chaotic Evil while also being the infamous Chaotic Dickhead. Yes, he is an ass, but he still gets the job done, it’s not out of character, and it does not ruin the story either.
Oh dang! I just stumbled across that kickstarter the other day by happenstance, and now I just happen to stumble across a video from the person who made it. Gotta say, big thanks for showing some love for Pathfinder 2e (and 1e for that matter). It seems to get too few kickstarters compared to 5e, so it's nice to see. Happy to back such a fun and quirky project!
Honestly, given Alucard's actions between the beginning and end of the series, I think it'd make most sense to say that his actions and intentions have swung between Chaotic Evil and Neutral good, he'd likely end having a true alignment somewhere between Chaotic Good or Chaotic Neutral, with a skew towards chaotic good as he wraps up his character arc within his own internal purgatory. Also I think that his actions as "Dracula" should've been counted, as it's heavily implied that Dracula and Alucard aren't separate personalities, it's just how he presents himself, with Dracula being the same "soul" as Alucard himself, and Dracula even saying to Anderson when he demands to fight Alucard- "You do know it's just my name spelled-" "Of course I do, shut up and bring him out!-" "Very well...if you insist." As if to say, yeah, he's the same person either way, it's just whether he speaks in his native accent or in his more modern way of speaking that he's adopted over the centuries, and he just decided to keep the persona he's known Anderson as the entire time, out of respect, when he realizes that Anderson actually preferred him when he was LESS respectful, rather than the noble he was in the olden days. In other words, "Alucard" is mostly an act he puts on to fit into the modern world, while Dracula is his true nature and temperament seemingly, which makes sense, given how Alucard's backstory as we dive into it, is literally just Vlad/Dracula's story, they're the same person with the same past and same emotions, especially shown when Alucard is enraged at Anderson becoming a monster, and also how he breaks down crying afterwards at having to kill the first person in centuries who could've been a worthy person capable of killing him, and also, in a weird way, a friend who is one of the few people capable of understanding him. But yeah, I would personally give him the dings as Dracula since it's not a different personality, just a different presentation. I'd even say that given his explicit reason for becoming who he is and what he is, was so that he could purge the world of monsters by becoming the worst one of all, that's probably the most chaotic good thing one could possibly do, in one line, it states the difference between this Alucard and the original, the original Alucard/Dracula from Hellsing was much closer to the true Dracula, with a mostly lawful evil alignment to him, while this Alucard, while clearly absolutely enjoying the blood rage and violence, and other forms of depravity, almost seems to be a much more voluntary servant to Integra and the Hellsing clan, bound not by law, as clearly repeatedly breaks any and every rule possible, but by a common goal and value. Don't get me wrong, he absolutely causes massive property damage, and shows unrepentant hatred towards religion and capital G God. But he breaks the rules in such a way that he oddly enough causes more good than evil, to be the monster to kill all monsters, and to protect those, let's face it, he genuinely loves and cares about along the way. He's potentially more broken and depraved than cannon Alucard is, but also oddly, much more human. As unlike the original, he doesn't regret trading away his humanity, but rather, he became a monster BECAUSE he was human, and wanted to find his own form of justice that the world and God wouldn't allow. This is even explicitly stated by Anderson in his final moments, as he shows that he understands Alucard's true motives, even potentially better than he does. And aside from some civilian casualties fighting Dandy Man, from what we know, he hasn't actually killed a single innocent in the entire series. Harassment and massive property damage? Yes absolutely. But he shows an interesting morality in that when it comes down to it, this Alucard is FAR more concerned with minimizing casualties than the original, and actually, correct me if I'm wrong since it's been a while since I've seen both series, but the scene where he's coaching Seras through learning her abilities so she can save their mercenaries from the illusions, was actually non-cannon and entirely added into the Abridged, right? Which is him going out of his way to not only protect and teach Seras, but also to try and give her the skills to save their comrades, even if it was ultimately unsuccessful. Edit: As a side note, I also feel like other members of the Hellsing cast, either the original or the abridged, sort of get slept on when it comes to deep dives on the characters, since Alucard is the flashiest and is what everyone remembers, but he's also absent, for like half or a third of the series, it'd be nice to highlight someone else from the cast with similar screen time, like maybe Seras or Integra? Hell, Pip is even an interesting character, who just doesn't get much screen time as the others. Anderson could also be interesting, especially if we cover the Abridged version since I'd say they even give him more screen time there than the original, or at least it feels that way.
@druidofscosglen2868 I will also say in his defense: Property damage is not nearly as bad, and we can't prove either way whether those goats were going to be slaughtered or not before he tried painting the car. Given the number of times pigs blood has been used in pranks as well, you also can't necessarily say it's evil...and there were no casualties- Explicitly, never been a civilian casualty mentioned in any of the budget reports...that we know of. XD I don't deny he's a menace to society, all I'm saying is that he at most causes emotional distress to innocents, rather than physical. XD
@druidofscosglen2868 AND ALSO in his defense, the one time where he DOES catch people in the crossfire, it's the corrupt police and SWAT officers who were originally attacking him first under false premises, and made a deal with the nazis for immortality. Even Pip blew up the tent with the police officials who made the deal, since none of them were innocent in being the aggressors, and once again, no civilians harmed. XD I'm honestly surprised in hindsight that Alucard restricted himself to ONLY enemy opponents the entire time, and NEVER causes more damage than absolutely necessary...and when he DOES cause unnecessary damage, it's always Hellsing property anyways, which technically falls under his jurisdiction.
I already made a comment on this, which is much more detailed and well thought out, just felt like making this one to say it's been 11 hours since this video was posted, and coincidentally, it's also been 11 months since Stuart made his alignment video on the original version of Alucard. Felt like something to comment about.
3 million neutral goods for soul therapy...over 30 years approximately. That equates to 100,000 souls "treated" per year. Divided by 365 days per year comes out to roughly 274 souls per day. That's 11 souls per hour. You wont find better rates in ANY field of therapy.
Ok Chaotic Stupid (CN), that man just want to have enthusiastic walks all over EVERYONE! 10:05 Oh come on, that deserve a NAT 20 SCENE 😅 Edit: 3milion neutral goods and character development over 30 years...Yep, you got it again Stuart, can't argue with that 🤣
I love your abridged alignment videos. Could you maybe do one on a machinma? There is one series called Smash King which is one of my favorites cause it plays on the idea of the characters not being exactly like their original. Especially with characters like Bowser who is seen as a monster and wants to be loved and Link who unable to live with the pressure of the legacy or the original link decides to become a mass murderer. It’s so good and I highly recommend it just to watch at least.
I know I commented on it a few years ago, but police I swear to god, we NEED a Bender B. Rodriguez alignment vid, ESPECIALLY with the revival Hulu season coming to a close in the next few days. Please I beg 😢

I've been saying it for years: TFS's charm is that they allowed their writing to mature over time. They started each of their abridged series with profanity and ended with profundity.
12:04 the abridged series' plan is a bit different. To copy and paste it from elsewhere (I'm too tired/lazy to recount it accurately), it's based on real life quantum mechanics. To explain briefly, on the quantum level it's possible for unobserved particles to be in two places at once, and a wave function is the potential places that the particle could be. The phenomenon is called quantum superposition, and the Schrodinger's Cat thought experiment was created to mock it. A wave function collapsing means that the particle has been observed, and now has a single, definitive position. In the show, Schrodinger was quantumly superimposed between life and death, and when Alucard absorbed them, he observed them (well, millions of him observed them). Thus their wave function collapsed, and it was a 50/50 chance that they would wind up alive or dead. Basically the major's plan had a 50% success rate, AND *HE PICKED HEADS*
Yep, TFS Alucard starts exactly where he should. 7:56 I think in the actual series, the collateral damage wasn't intentional on Alucard's part. In the abridged...I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was.
Just popped open this video and had to send the kickstarter to my friend the moment you mentioned that cursed magic item, only to see you already at $90k+, so cheers! XD

NE he's got his own set of rules, and those imposed upon him, that he refuses to break... unless he is pressed. (hence the neutral, as he's more than willing to break the rules whenever he needs to.) but as for the good-evil axis, yeah, full blown evil, funny AF, but that doesn't make up for much.

@@bradleybourgeois4710
"alright whose the idiot who decided to threaten the world and piss off the worlds greatest therapist...cause pretty sure I'm looking at em right now"
Alucard when forced to deal with a new vampire threat
10:04 OH COME ON! Not gonna give that a Nat 20 entrance?
I thought I did! shit. my b
@@TheLoadingCrew You're good. That scene is why I rewatch this every halloween.
The best damn vampire in anime! Pure Chaotic Neutral energy! And 11 months after the original Alucard got his alignment video, we now have Abridged Alucard.
"Hey kids wanna see a dead body!!!"
(Post Watch): Only Neutral Good because of the souls he helped. Seems fair. Still Chaotic Neutral for me.
I watched your episode on Kirito from SAO Abridged and thought "Oh man, that reminds me of Hellsing abridged" which I just finished watching 15 minutes ago, and then I see you uploaded this. You have incredible taste
You definitely forgot the Christmas Special where Alucard kills/eats Santa (probably on purpose) and then goes to terrify his way across the countryside until he gets bored and wanders off
did....did you just make that up?
@@TheLoadingCrew Nope, definitely a thing, and entirely animated/commissioned for animation
Hellsing Abridged played a big part in inspiring my current writing project, and it's very close to my heart. I can only hope that when I'm done I'll have created something half as good as this series.
Chaotic Good is where I would pin Alucard. He's all about agency and self-actualization, especially when freeing those souls.
Chaotic Neutral leaning Chaotic Good imo since he was still the crimson fucker we all knew and loved after he returned form his forced group therapy session
6:47 Oh god, that joke is funny
To quote Cooler again
"I F***ING CALLED IT"
“Eat me, Don’t forget to wright.”
You need to make what D&D alignment is Doom Slayer.
Chaotic lawful. He has a moral code. But nobody has a clue what it id.
If this isn't personification of Chaotic Neutral, I don't know who is.
To sum it up alucard "i hate you but i understand you"
Yes! Very happy that alucard is our final abridged video
Lawful evil with chaotic good tendencies
Also I think that his actions as "Dracula" should've been counted, as it's heavily implied that Dracula and Alucard aren't separate personalities, it's just how he presents himself, with Dracula being the same "soul" as Alucard himself, and Dracula even saying to Anderson when he demands to fight Alucard-
"You do know it's just my name spelled-"
"Of course I do, shut up and bring him out!-"
"Very well...if you insist."
As if to say, yeah, he's the same person either way, it's just whether he speaks in his native accent or in his more modern way of speaking that he's adopted over the centuries, and he just decided to keep the persona he's known Anderson as the entire time, out of respect, when he realizes that Anderson actually preferred him when he was LESS respectful, rather than the noble he was in the olden days.
Given the number of times pigs blood has been used in pranks as well, you also can't necessarily say it's evil...and there were no casualties-
Explicitly, never been a civilian casualty mentioned in any of the budget reports...that we know of. XD
I don't deny he's a menace to society, all I'm saying is that he at most causes emotional distress to innocents, rather than physical.
XD
I'm honestly surprised in hindsight that Alucard restricted himself to ONLY enemy opponents the entire time, and NEVER causes more damage than absolutely necessary...and when he DOES cause unnecessary damage, it's always Hellsing property anyways, which technically falls under his jurisdiction.
Damn, I have doubts that the waifu book will get to 125,000. Was wanting that expanded cooking.
it might. just keep pushing it lol
He did specifically say a good chunk of them the answer was just "your not straight" so he had an easy answer for say a third of them.
Ok Chaotic Stupid (CN), that man just want to have enthusiastic walks all over EVERYONE!
10:05 Oh come on, that deserve a NAT 20 SCENE 😅
Edit: 3milion neutral goods and character development over 30 years...Yep, you got it again Stuart, can't argue with that 🤣
I honestly would love to see someone tackle rudeus greyrat in DND.
Muskou Tensei really is underrated and S2 is about done there's a lot going on with that Reborn man to child
Stuart just make d20 reviews. Talk about stuff you like you're super insightful and funny takes never fail to amuse. Also, more of you and your wife ranking stuff would be great
Unironically, Highschool of the Dead is really well written. It's definitely worth checking out for a vid.
Dew it! Make a worthy vid for it.
Without watching the video, ima say lawful evil
I've been saying it for years: TFS's charm is that they allowed their writing to mature over time. They started each of their abridged series with profanity and ended with profundity.
Alucard's abridged va also voiced him in Death Battle
My most wanted charter is lelouch from code geass I think he would be interesting
Alucard has both the most badass main character introduction and the most hype MC reintroduction that i can think of
Yep, TFS Alucard starts exactly where he should.
7:56
I think in the actual series, the collateral damage wasn't intentional on Alucard's part. In the abridged...I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was.
I loved this series and one of my favourite scenes was the Majors speech.
On a good day hes chaotic neutral on his worst days hes so chaotic evil that im not sure chaotic evil is enough to describe his madness lol
Just popped open this video and had to send the kickstarter to my friend the moment you mentioned that cursed magic item, only to see you already at $90k+, so cheers! XD
thank you ^_^ feel free to still send it to all friends and family tho lol
@@TheLoadingCrew Will do! Planning on backing myself and getting whoever I can
I cannot be the only one that wants a breakdown for Asura from Asura's Wrath.
This Alucard is just chaotic. That’s alignment, chaotic, chaotic.
This abridged series is one of the funniest things I ever watched.
God, PLEASE do a Highschool of the Dead character! The show is a GODDAMN MASTERPIECE!
7:04 my favourite line of the episode
Yeah, baby One of my favorite abridged series my man.
All of them. At the same time, as well. Alucard does just what Alucard, at the moment, wants to do.
If you stab a Leprechaun, do you think that it will bleed Lucky Charms?
6:05 that was a 70 inch plasma screen TV who wouldn't go on a murderous rampage and torture the person that destroyed it? At make it Chaotic Neutral.
I agree with this, i found out about team fourstar beacause of this abridge. Also people should listen to the cover they did for shine. It was awesome
Dude is chaotic Neutral leaning towards evil. Like come on, Alucard is the emphasis of "I do what I want and nobody can fucking stop me unless I let em"
i would have also said chaotic neutral...but then i read the title again and its tfs and just went with plain chaos
10:47 "You know we're the same person, Right?"
"If we're going to do this (and we are doing this), I don't want DRAULA! i'm getting Alucard!!"
- close enough :P
I did wonder how you'd handle Alucard helping to psychologically heal 3 million souls. Makes sense I think, he did right by all those souls in the end, but who knows what he'll do next?
Paused at the beginning, my guess is true chaotic (or chaotic neutral for those that follow the chart as is) rarely doing things for good or evil reasons, only for shits and giggles
Your rating of HOTD would be fun. More fun than me watching the original and skipping one episode and ova for too much stupid lewdness (I don't mind lewdness, but I hate stupid in favor of lewdness).
But to be fair, most of HotD was surprisingly fun compared to my prior expectations, I might rewatch it sometime.
I have been waiting for this video
Abridged Alucard is better than Canon Alucard. You can’t change my mind.
"Should we do a High Scho-" YES OF COURSE PLEASE
I have been waiting for this i was planning on comment on a lot of ur vids
appreciate it :)
"Are we a bad person?"
Yes.
Yes you are.
"Also, he harasses the Catholic Church for no reason."
Do you really NEED a reason to make fun of the Catholic Church?
no....but still xD
Chaotic Neutral, he kills bad guys, not because they are bad but because it's fun
Yeeeeees. Thank you for going with the abridged alucard
Overall, his alignment is certainly chaotic evil
Wait if you were at the first yomicon panel that means you were there for the one piece of bridged rug pull. What was your reaction like when you realize what you were getting?
An appropriate day to do an Alucard video...
NE
he's got his own set of rules, and those imposed upon him, that he refuses to break... unless he is pressed. (hence the neutral, as he's more than willing to break the rules whenever he needs to.)
but as for the good-evil axis, yeah, full blown evil, funny AF, but that doesn't make up for much.
Is it bad that when i heard the bit of Alexander Anderson, i started to throw it back instinctively
Oh damn, I wiffed hard.
Legit thought it was gonna be Vegeta again.
I was slso expecting Alucard's return to get a Nat 20.
But you want recommendations?
Here's one that will resonate with like, 5 people, but was a big point of my teen years, Neku, from "The World ends with You" game series.
I doubt you've heard of it.
