Who should I react to next and are you ready for our Halloween Reactions Night: ruclips.net/video/C_FbjT4OlJU/видео.html Don't forget to ring the bell 🔔for notifications so you don't miss it!
Have you reacted to "I Put a Spell on You" by Screamin' Jay Hawkins? That's good old Halloween song
Check out Michael Jackson’s “Ghost” music video. The long version.
Such a great song. Such a great singer. The world was robbed of an incredible talent FAR too early. Great reaction, as always Miss Maggie!
A great classic song & performance by Otis. What a talent! Fantastic job Maggie!
☺️👍❤️💐
What a song, and what a singer. Gotta love Otis.
Yes. We loved him. I remember the day he died. I was listening to WABC-AM in Brooklyn getting ready to do some public school homework and I was shocked how heartbroken I felt for someone I didn’t know what he looked like or anything about him he was a voice on some of my favorite songs. But, as a kid, he always moved me emotionally. Interesting how important music can be for our souls.
Most people probably don't know this song was written in the 20's. When Otis got hold of it, he made it his own. There's another live recording of this from Otis that he did at Monterey Pops in 1967; just a few months before he died in a plane crash. Otis Redding was a fantastic performer and he was by all reports an even better man.
So underrated!!! ❤❤❤ you Otis!!!!
Just about everyone of those guys backing Otis were also members of The Blues Brothers Band. They all starred in the movie.
His posthumous hit Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay is worth a listen
Got To Got To! At the time of the fatal plane crash, Otis Redding was not very well know to a wide audience, although he certainly was to those who had every heard his music. But after that tragedy, Sitting on the Dock of the Bay was suddenly on the radio every day and later followed by this performance. It is too often the case that we do not really appreciate what is in front of us until it is gone. Really good reaction and analysis. 🤗
Otis was living on the country side when he one day joined his buddy into Memphis. The buddy was going to record at Stax studios and between the takes Otis stepped forward to a mic and began singing his own song These Arms of M
ine. The CEO heard him sing and got very excited and rushed to the control room saying "please tell me you got that on tape?!" The tape was recording Otis who got singded there and then! He was called Mr 100 % he always went all in regardless if it was in the studio or on stage.
haha he comes back again after you stopped it! lol such an amazing voice.
Sitting on the dock of the bay is one of his best and most famous songs
"sitting on the deck of the bay", outstanding. love the way you present your take on the music, IT IS WHAT HEAR.
“The arms of mine” next. You’ll love it
Otis with Booker T. & the MG's [Booker T. Jones - keyboards, Duck Dunn - bass guitar, Steve Cropper - Guitar & Al Jackson jr. - drums] and the Memphis Horns
Definitely need to check out his performance in The Monterey Pop Festival- I've been lovin you(too long)- 1967
Would also suggest looking at the Ready Steady Go special featuring Otis Redding. This is the man that Mick Jagger said, " You have to pay us a million dollars each to follow him"
yes ty ty ty
Might want to watch the movie. The Commitments. Its about a group of Dubliner's singing soul music. It's hilarious and awesome. They do a great cover of this song.
This is magnificent so is the cover by 3 Dog Night in 68. Cory Welles did a phenomenal job!!!
Otis taped an episode of "Upbeat" in Cleveland, did two shows at Leo's Casino, and got on a plane for Wisconsin. He never made it.
He was awesome. I really like his Sitting on the Dock of the Bay. Thanks for reacting to this one
A young Mick Jagger and Bob Dylan are in the crowd during the recording of this show Stax/Volt 67' movie doc.
One of the many singers who loved his music was Janis Joplin.
I could hear the similarity. 🎤
He definitely has his own groove!!!!
That band was Booker T. and the MG's.
Take a listen to "Love Man" the sexiest Otis Redding song, or maybe "I've Been Loving You Too Long," the most romantic. Both gorgeous.
Straight faced Maggie Renee' "Have we done any Otis Redding on the channel before ?"
We rolled on the floor laughing .We love you Maggie .Thank you
Can’t go wrong with Otis Redding or Wilson Pickett
Great artist Maggie he died in a plane crash three days after recording the song dock on the bay
Ah, didn't know that. Thanks for the info. 💐
Sittin on the Dock of the Bay
He was backed by a stunning band. He was described by Peter Gabriel, I think, as a force of nature.
Backing band was Booker T and the MG's Stax' house band at the time.
Otis is goated as well as sam Cooke (also anytime I hear this song the first thing that comes to my mind is Duckie)
Oh baby.. when I just heard you talking, I thought "what a deep creamy voice this girl has", which is the first time I ever had that thought (ok, I said it outloud, to myself lol)
But yeahh... Otis, he's so good, creamy, and then these outbursts from in front of his throat that seem restrained and measured (a rasp from the back of the tongue rather than the throat).. so good
Please do a reaction of "Sittin at the Dock of the Bay", because no other trained singer has done it so it seems. As a baritone/tenor I do love singing that song.
I have liked, commented,.. and subbed in the hope I get that review of Dock of the Bay, baby ;)
Welcome to the “Memphis “ sound
Great song and performance! This song reminds me of Pretty in pink where Ducky sings and dances to this in the record store I think.
Ghost Riders by Geoff!
Try Kasey Chambers covering Loose Yourself (Eminem). Kasey backs herself on banjo
Three dog night done a great cover to this very song you should check out
Check out Three dog nights try a Little tenderness
Listen to sitting on the dock of the bay by Mr Redding
You should try out some Tom Petty. I reccomend "Learning to Fly", "American Girl", "Wildflowers", and "Free Fallin'". Happy Birthday Tom! You are loved and missed. ❤🌼🌻🌺🥀🏵🌸💮🌷
Think about reacting to Otis's version of The Rolling Stones song Satisfaction. IMO, it's a much better version, much more up tempo. The second best version is the Devo version, IMO😽
Definitely one of a kind. He inspired so many, but no one could match him. He also recorded at Fame Records in Muscle Shoals, AL where Lynyrd Skynyrd, Aretha Franklin, Rolling Stones, Allman Bros., as so many others recorded. Speaking of Lynyrd Skynyrd....
Hi hi hey 👋 ☺️ 🤗 😊
Can you please react to Teddy Pendergrass song called 'Love T K.O.
If you can watch that and remain sitting still, you need a complete and thorough physical examination because there's something wrong with you 😛
Now I gotta go watch "Pretty In Pink" again, just for Jon Carter's lip sync performance of this song
Jon Cryer, confounded autocorrect
Plz react to Lenny Williams Cause I love you
good isnt he
Also im all or for live performances but I feel like this wasn't his best rendition of this song
Please do not make faces while the artist is performing, just sayin.
Don't interrupt the song and attempt to sing. More respect is due to Otis.
If you want to hear a great version of this song, check out Wayne Brady as The Fox on Masked Singer. FLAW. LESS. 🫶🏻
I came here to say the same thing.
@@michaelevans1193 Great minds and all that, huh? 😏
