Amazing tension build up. And you can almost see a progression of the guys getting more comfortable with the place in general before shit hits the fan. And let that be a lesson...never leave the keys in the ignition, not even in the Backrooms lol.
That ladder isn't OSHA compliant. The base needs to be one quarter of the total height of the ladder away from the wall (ie, a 20ft ladder needs to the base to be 5ft from the wall), and it needs to extend 3ft above the surface you're climbing onto in order to allow safe ingress/egress and a stable platform. Excellent video, by the way. You had me very invested.
Looks like they were using screw-in anchors into the floor, so it would be more subject to the installed ladder access rules, which have no rule on steepness. The height would definitely require a fall arresting device though, such as a harness and y-tails.
I was also thinking that ladder was at way too sharp an angle to be safe... It's like pick one: the ladder is at an appropriate angle or it's perpendicular to the ground and is bolted to the wall.
@@dustinbrueggemann1875 But they didn't use an installed ladder type, so it couldn't be straight vertical, and the rungs aren't meant to be that vertical. Then again, they needed something that could fold up onto a golf cart; use what you got. The anchors help, but they still need the ladder to go three feet above the next level for safety; again, that looks to be the maximum height of the ladder anyway, use what you got and worry about a more permanent installation later. The fall arrest harness is definitely a must, but the catch-22 is that somebody has to climb up to install the anchor, lollipop, and lanyard before you can use it. I really like the world-building of three guys installing a ladder in an eldritch location to make exploration easier. Such a mundane, yet believable task that makes a setting feel lived in. I also really like the fact that we're arguing OSHA standards for installing a ladder in an eldritch location. If an inspector ever shows up, I think the ladder is going to be the last thing he's worried about.
@@Swindle1984 yeah. If I were writing a procedure for it, I'd say to install the lower anchors, have the two other guys steady the ladder while the lead guy climbs. Use a y-tail on the rungs, install the top rope and top anchors, and then throw down the rope and tension it on a second anchor at the bottom so that you can use camlock PFA's afterwards.
@@dustinbrueggemann1875 The fact the video creator included the detail of anchors and the rope in the first place is impressive enough. Not many people would think of that.
These A-Sync guys are such chuckleheads. Walking into a dangerous alternate Reality unarmed, with faulty equipment. They clearly don't need oxygen either, as we see people not wearing hazmat suits breathing just fine in the beginning.

Reminds me of Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks in which Liu Kang or Kung Lao ask a dead monk if hes ok even though he was impaled by Baraka in the face LOL.
Never considered how much anxiety the concept of getting up on a high ledge, (with no way down other than an awkward, rickety, slow descent back down in the event of an emergency) builds up in me.
I know exactly how that feels. I used to work construction and had to climb to the top of a warehouse on a really long ladder. Probably 2x the climb they had in the video. Except I didn't have wear a hazmat suit.
He COULD have actually survived the fall. If he didn't hit his head, he would have gotten some broken bones here and there, but pretty much remain unconscious but fine.
I mean, we have incontrovertible historical proof that a man can jump from a plane, have both of his parachutes fail, and land uninjured, even if it's absurdly unlikely. So it never hurts to check.

Remember this is set in the past though. Inexpensive, reliable flying camera drones are relatively modern. Also they constantly lose signal for comms in the backrooms. Granted a self flying military stytle drone would solve that problem.

One of my favorite channels (when it comes to backrooms) with Kane (of course) and Lost in the Hyperverse.👍
I saw that this was coming out at 7:00am last night at 11:15pm. I stayed up until it came out, and it was well worth the wait. ❤

Nice connection whit found footage
Wow, I never realized how useful ladders coud be in the Backrooms! How has Async never thought of this before?
I'm being sarcastic
What a fantastic tie-in with the last video. Very well done there. :)
I know this would break the ARG vibe but a tutorial on your eevee animations would be insane. The fact this is real time is crazy!
wait this is eevee???
Eevee is a rendering method in the 3d software Blender
Is this rendered in realtime?
How is this an ARG? It’s just a video series, not interactive at all
@@thommyeriksson2781 ik, i make MC animations and Backrooms Animations
Wow, that's awesome !
Great job on that video, can't wait to see what's happenig next !
You're just as good as Kane Pixels, keep doing what you're doing.
The fun fact that all the 2 of the footages and ladders footage were posted on the same day and year :O
Amazing as always, you never disappoint!
I'm on the edge of my seat watching a man climb a ladder.
You are hands down 2nd to Kane and definitely amongst the best of backrooms content creators. I hope one day Kane would like for you to work with him on some ideas. Even so, I am obsessed with how you wrote your videos man keep up the advancements!
This and FF are a major step up in quality over previous entries, even if it is derivative. The dovetailing was expertly done.
best jump scare of my life
**sees guy with his head ripped clean off**
"Sir, can you hear me?"
his head was not ripped off but okay
