The idea of someone stuck in the Backrooms stumbling through the threshold and into the A-Sync Facility and not being able to distinguish it from the Backrooms is a brilliant concept. It could have been so tragic if they turned back around went went back through the Threshold, not recognizing they'd reached the real world.
The Recording is by Christopher E. ******* The Kid who got lost in the rooms and found a Research team in No escape. One of the Team was taking him back to the gate when the rooms pulled one of it's tricks and had all the marker lines converge in a single point making it nearly impossible to find the right way back. the researcher called the rest of the team for help and they heard the panicked screams of the team. so they rushed back to the forward base camp and found it in disarray and no sign of the team. then they began looking for them. in lost they are still looking and found a pit fall room. they tired to cross and Christopher lost his balance and fell in. this video takes place right after the end of that one and he finds the threshold room. so he has no idea if he got back or is in another part of the rooms till he runs into the guy in the hall. what gets me is there isn't anyone in the A-synch facility side watching the gate since the backrooms side had it's doors wide open and no one there manning the desk. it's kinda asking for a incursion by one of the backrooms inhabitants.
I love the little details in this. The muffling the main character makes whilst he's holding the camera, the scraping of the feet across the carpet, the reflection you can see in the elevator. This work is outstanding 👐👐
Thank you for not going way off into the other "levels" yet. You are setting a great foundation for lots of other content in the future. Your production quality is top notch. Seriously well done.
His series is following Kanepixels's universe by acting as gaiden/side-story take, so I doubt he'll ever follow the cheesy and dorky backrooms levels made by kids with their OCs.
Nah, the other levels are dorky. Just the fact that they're called "levels" is dorky. The Backrooms is a brilliant new phenomena and it's ruined by the whole "level" system. The Backrooms is not something that needs to be expanded upon, because it undermines the brilliance of where everything started. Heck, I'm not even really a fan of the monsters tbh. Maybe one or two lurking figures can add an effect, but the whole point of the terror of the Backrooms was just supposed to be the rooms themselves.
@@arbitrarilyentertainment8553 the whole idea of levels makes it game like and not as realistic and scary. Which is mainly why his and kanes versions are so good (in my opinion). This one was incredible. I love how there’s a story and not every ending is bad. I loved how this one ended. Dude made it out which makes the backrooms concept even creepier. You wouldn’t know if you actually made it out or not. Terrifying
I work for a hotel/casino and we had to do our training in a casino that was closed down. No joke, walking around totally felt like being in the backrooms. Everything still set up, not all the lights working, creepy barely audible sounds.....very surreal.
This is by far the most interesting backrooms video that I've watched. Ever since I figured out about the Backrooms I've been glued to watching videos like these and this one really made me get hyped. Keep up the good work!
My favorite detail is the way the character reacts to sounds and objects. Anything he hears or sees out of the ordinary causes him to jump, you can tells his nerves are just shot and he's constantly on high alert. Poor dude is so traumatized just seeing a box or a light out of place gets his heart pounding. Great stuff.
This one did not disappoint. Wouldn’t catch me getting on an elevator in the backrooms ✌️ and the endless halls of lockers is like something out of one of my school nightmares!
To think not only did some kid last as long as they did in the Backrooms, but the actually stumbled across Async’s research outpost and an exit from this hell at long last. Here’s hoping Async lets them go
But the most unsettling idea is that how can the protagonist be so sure that he is back to the real world? When think about it, the facility is mostly empty(and no one is watching the door into the Backroom?), the monitors are all blue screens, and a security guard came out of nowhere. In my opinion, something is off.
@@阿科-b5i yeah now that you mention it, you’d think ASYNC would at least have rotating staff monitoring the gate at all times so they’d know whenever someone comes through. And here’s a kid with a camcorder running through with nobody noticing until he gives away his position to some random guy who happened to be there? Something’s definitely wrong
@@austinmorrison6953 is this video before or after they discover the existence of the "bacteria" creature? If they did not know about it yet, maybe they would not worry so much about security. Edit: at this point they are already aware of the creature. On the other hand, they should be expecting the other researchers returning, so someone should be there. And I find it really weird that there is no security door before the 'gate' to the backrooms. Only on the backrooms side. But if something came through to reality, it can just walk in.
Awesome as always. A few things I noticed which really stood out: When the main character rounds the corner and sees the model box for the first time, his reaction is subtle but makes sense. After being in the Backrooms as long as he has, seeing *anything* that isn't carpet or walls or lights instantly freaks him out. He knows by now that seeing a foreign object probably means bad news, or at least 99% of the time it does. Also, the ending really got me, because how the hell do you even know you're *out* of the Backrooms? Like, for us yeah we clearly know 'Yep that's the Threshold, he's out, he did it!' but to the main character, for all he knows he's just in another part of the backrooms. Which is why when he meets the scientist, the fear in how MC hides like he's seen another entity really shows how fucked up with PTSD he is by this point. I love finer details like that.
Best backrooms video you've made so far! The connection you're able to make with Kane's lore is insane! The renders are also super realistic! Good job man. :)
It's strange that there is no one at all in the A-Sync facility when he 'returns' and finds that one random worker there. A facility like that should be well populated with engineers, scientists etc. To me, seems like the Backrooms created that mock-up to confuse the camera guy. Just doesn't add up to me.
@@zaria3 Nothing is thrown around, just a tad messy as any workplace is. All the monitors except that weird room are all off so if it was evacuated then they'd probably leave more evidence. And the closing alarm had already gone off and the also shut down the gate for the night as they normally do. Our Christopher just got really lucky and managed to get in on time. I cannot WAIT to see his interrogation stuff or whatever else comes from this. This is gonna be awesome.
This really is near Kane’s quality and is quite a stunning job I must say. Even small things like reflections and character sounds really turn out great!
So tragically brilliant: the way that you can't even tell at first whether you've really made it out or not. What really tugged at my heart was when the camera person urgently ran and hid at the first sign of noise and motion- not knowing or trusting that it was actually another human being.

I almost had an hearth attack seeing the Exit and the async complex. Kane is on vacation, so THANK YOU for maintaining the pace with top notch parrallel backrooms content ! :) A thing that disturbed me a lot : the lack of sound. There is a beacon to guide you to the threshold : not hearing it puzzled me. And when the gate close, there is a distinctive beeping shound, lacking too. For quite some time, I was thinking this was not asynch, but a "replication" made by the Backrooms to mimic the true one. And the overall emptiness with nobody (except the guy at the end) was a little bit "strange" too... Nevertheless, ok ok, I didn't wanted to be nitpicking or negative, I just wanted you to receive some feedback. :) Your videos are incredible and perfeclty complete kane's ones ! And please, open a patreon, I do think there is a lot of people (including me) that will donate for your fantastic work ! :)
i swear, other than Kane Pixels, you make the best quality Backrooms content. This is what the Backrooms should be. Level 0 with all the existential dread of being lost in a liminal space.
I really love how Kane and your channel keep the backrooms as they originated, without the ridiculousness of the different levels, which at a certain point lose the charm of what made the backrooms so terrifying in its own right, as being trapped in an eternal and eldritch maze of yellow wallpaper, musty carpet, and buzzing ceiling lights is as unexplainable and unknowable as it comes. I think why the current idea of the backrooms with 500+ levels each with their own lore is interesting, but not as a horror concept. It loses its identity as something we cannot understand, and is dangerous because we cannot know it. With each new level comes lore, and with lore comes explanation. With explanation comes knowing. I love the idea of all of these different little realities like the school hallways as smaller segments of the yellowed and musty backrooms. It makes it confusing and terrifying. That being said, I love how this video has a 'happy ending'. It helps me sleep at night, lol.
The backrooms should be mysterious undefined architecture on a different plain of existence. No weird entity crap or atleast the shit like the smiler or party goers. That stuff is actually fucking retarded. I want mysterious well thought put entitys. None of this almond milk shit.
Spot on. The back rooms don’t need monsters or jumpscares. The horror is in the complete lack of meaning in the space, both from an absence of anything in the rooms and also from the endlessness of it all. It’s truly the worst sort of hell I could imagine, especially if you run with the idea I’ve seen some people use that you never need to eat or drink. Just endless soulless yellow rooms and the buzzing of fluorescents to slowly drive you mad.
The levels is just so people can feel creative and try to put their own spin on it and feel like they've contributed something, instead of simply expanding upon the basic concept.
The part where he was in the endless rows of lockers and then he started hearing all those voices, so he freaked out and ran and the voices got louder and louder but you never saw anything?? But something banged on the elevator door anyway after he'd shut it???? That was genuinely so terrifying Also, I adore how both you and Kane really make it feel like the viewer is trapped in the backrooms. The fact that we have to move along with the cameraman in real time just adds to the creeping suspense and complete sense of dread as the videos progress. I kept having to pause and check the comments again and again to reassure myself that there probably wouldn't be any jump scares. The pacing really builds the tension to an almost unbearable degree. Astounding work as always, my friend
Keep doing what you're doing! It saddens me to see other comments saying "Boring" because there's not a jumpscare in every video, these are great at building tension and intrigue. While a part of me would love to see one day the first eight levels of the Backrooms rendered like this, snippets of other floors are still a treat to see, if only for a few minutes. Thinking about it, new assets would have to be created for other floors, so I can see why this is easier for content flow to reuse Floor 0 and see how many different avenues can be explored within.
@@db.676 that’s true, but “most of the time“ isn’t what you tune in for usually. It’s like watching a reality show where the whole episode is them silently reading magazines, shaving, washing their clothes, reading their text messages, play games on their phone, taking a $h¡t, etc. I don’t think every episode needs entities or jump scares, and while it was cool to see different levels and rooms we’ve never seen, even a real person, it really was just a dude walking around for 20 minutes. The quality and realism is incredible, but beyond that and new stuff I mentioned above, at the very end of it I found myself thinking “wait… That’s it?“
but this is way better.....there's the one monster so far and it's just environmental hazards and just people getting lost that's the horror of it, that and the weird shit that happens....this kid is lucky he got out lol
I can appreciate the amount of effort you put into these videos. It's clearly something that you enjoy and I can't wait to see more of this. Not to mention that you've made at least a few hours worth of content now and all of it has had to do with one level. I appreciate you sticking to the main point of the backrooms :)
I love these backroom videos. I'm oddly obsessed. Really captures a morbid atmosphere that I can't describe, but is all too familiar. Keep up the great work.
I adore these videos. You perfectly nail the tension and thrill that this concept provides. The backrooms don't need 700 pages of documented levels, they don't need 100 new monsters each week. You're proof of that!
I LOVE the audio quality, the sound of fingers on the camera, the footsteps (at level 0 it almost sounded as if whoever was holding the camera was dragging their feet on the carpet which is neat) and when they first encounter the elevator, you can hear the increased speed in breathing, and the sheer panic when they hear the noise, it's crazy immersive and knocked my socks off. Great job! This is Kane Pixels level quality, I applaud you with my subscription.
This content of yours. It is the most unsettling thing I have ever seen. Sure there are many kinds of horror but this is the kind that makes you feel trapped! I love it!!
310k view in 3 days, which is around double your subscriber list… congrats, keep up the good work. You and Kane Pixels are the absolute best (and beasts) at this backrooms genre at the moment
That was a really nice scare at the end! It really subverts your expectations because we're alone for so long, we're not sure what's scarier, being caught by a killer entity, or being found and rescued. In fact, I'm not even sure if this was a rescue, he didn't take you to the police or a hospital, he just escorted us to a lab for all we know...
You're not understanding the context. this is same character that got lost last episode. It's an A Sync researcher, not a civilian. In fact, it's confusing AF to me.
a sync arent depicted as evil though, and yeah they should check him out, we already know the fates of people who spend long periods of time in the backrooms
Now I'm wondering if he's really out, or if the backrooms have expanded back out through the threshold and backroomified the real world as well. There is no reality, only backrooms
our world...our galaxy exists in a pocket dimension stuck in the back rooms and the back rooms exists on another plane within our world....intersecting and overtaking reality soon.....everything will be back rooms boy that was deep [burps loudly]
After thee days or more of seemingly endless walking in a place that shouldn't exist, I bet it would be one of those things you can walk out of, but never really escape from... even assuming breathing the bacteria for days hasn't done something to him, it's one of those things that would come back to him in dreams, or whenever he closes his eyes in a quiet room, or whenever he walks in an empty room or hallway somewhere unfamiliar, or whenever a room or set of rooms look too similar to each other, too familiar. Or, when you're somewhere alone, and hear voices from someone you can't see in another room, and you can't tell yourself they're just ordinary people, in an ordinary building. You spend the rest of your life with that, and you can't really even talk to anyone... who would believe you? Who would listen? Who would be able to understand just how unsettling it is? In a way, I've been there, at least for an hour, rather than days. I visited this farm house where my great-grandfather and his son were living when I was maybe 10 or 11, and my little brother was with me... the two relatives lived in one room of that house, and never left it except to cook in the kitchen, or use a bathroom I never say - they just in one bed in what should have been a living room, with almost no other furniture, and just stayed there, like those elderly people from that Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie - I didn't realize that part of the movie was weird when I saw it for the first time afterward, I just thought that was the way elderly people lived. Anyway, my brother and I got bored of listening to old people talking - my grandmother and her sister had brought us for some stupid reason, and we were bored out of our minds - and so we wandered off to explore the house. Nobody had told us not to, we didn't realize we were not allowed to. That house! It was just like the backrooms. The carpet and wallpaper were different, of course, and there was no lighting, and there were windows, but there shouldn't have been so many randomly-connected empty rooms and hallways, they just went on and on. We got lost, we'd just keep going, room after room, down one dark hallway after another connected in ways that didn't make sense. There were like six or seven bedooms, one after the other, connected in different ways, then one of those hallways, then there would be more rooms, and another hallway. The house just wasn't that big! Stairs down to a basement, or basements, in several different places, but it was too dark to go down... stairs up in other places that just scared us for no reason we could explain. There were doors that were latched from the other side that we couldn't get into, doors that were blocked with heavy furniture on the other side, and so on. We went through a door with no door-knobs, they were removed, and jumped a mile when we saw something moving in the room, but it was just the first piece of furniture we could actually see in a room we could get into: a mirror, on the floor, leaning at a weird angle against a wall - I was just seeing my brother's reflection and my own in that mirror. That's when my brother just started crying and couldn't stop. We could hear our grandmother's voice in another room calling now, but it was very far away. We wandered a little longer, more and more stupid rooms and hallways - there was one room with the ceiling and roof broken in, and the floor torn apart from rain water leaking in, and a couple of rooms like closets or something with some sort of fixtures that I didn't understand, like toilets that looked like they were four feet high and too small to sit on, and dark rooms with whispering sounds in them, which we'd run away from. We tried following our footsteps back the way we came more than once, but only got more lost, nothing seemed familiar anymore. Eventually we found another door latched, this time from our side, but it was too high to reach, our grandmother was on the other side, telling us to unlock the door, but we couldn't... she just yelled at us for wandering off, we "knew" we weren't supposed to explore the house - again, nobody told us! And she told us to sit still and she would come looking for us. Eventually she found us, and walked us out through another long and complicated series of rooms we hadn't seen yet, and apologized to her father and just took us home from there, and my brother and I were never invited back, not that I would have complained! The bottom line is that was about 40 years ago, and it's haunted me ever since. On one hand, I never wanted to go back there, on the other, I did want to, just to try to figure out if that place was really as weird and complicated as I remembered, to see if any of that had really happened. Nobody ever believed me when I tried to explain the experience, my brother was too young to remember, my great-aunt and great-uncle and great-grandfather passed away before I was properly old enough to try to ask about it, and my grandmother, frankly, was out of her mind and couldn't have given an answer I trusted if she wanted to, and got mad and denied we'd ever been to that house when I asked her in any event. Just an hour in a place like that affected me for about four decades, and I expect it will for the rest of my life. If I were trapped for days in there? It would be therapy time, I think, and I don't think I could properly talk to a therapist about it... I know it happened, but they would treat it like a hallucination or a delusion. I had people laugh at me when trying to explain, and people who just gave that knowing look and just said "cool story, bro!", and people who just go uncomfortable and changed the subject or just wandered away and avoided me afterward, and so on, and nobody who could ever relate or understand. And all the sorts of things I mentioned - all the ways that experience just comes back and I'm not sure I ever escaped from that house when anything seems too similar - all that's there with me, too. So yeah, I think anyone lost in the Backrooms, stays lost in there, even when they "escape" - the Backrooms are part of you forever after you've been there, even a short time.
@@thej3042 except for the entities like similar who was seen in of the videos I think this channel is following parts of the wiki and Kane’s own story together

Man, im gonna be honest with you. The amount of animation skills you have is almost the equivalent of Kane Pixels. The camera shaking, the persons speed, and the map is truly stunning. You sir are one mastermind.
Seriously, the weird off-screen mumbling sound that chased him out of the locker rooms is worth all the gratuitous level and entity "pr0n" put together from the second- and third-tier backrooms videos I've seen. Same things go for the long moments of nothing but well-lit silence punctuated by the camera-guy jumping and looking behind him to see... nothing. These little "nothing is scarier" moments like that are priceless, genuinely unnerving in ways that a jump-scare or poorly-depicted entity-monster could never be..
I love the backrooms concept. What always ruins it for me is most of the monsters that look and sound like some 12 yo kid without any imagination vomited out.
This was a great video! Lots of improvement since the last one. I think another thing that could improve it is to see the wielder of the camera occasionally, if even just his hands going in front of the camera for a split second while he jostles around. Great work, love this!
Thank you so much. I think this was the best video yet. So much work was put into this including creating and designing a whole school area and creating the async research facility with a real person. You also did this within 3 weeks of the past video. Keep doing what you are doing!

Interesting to note at 14:47, all the other explorers suits that he got separated from, have returned the hanging racks already... keen to see where this continues!
I love these Backrooms animations, especially the ones that you guys do, and the Kane Pixels ones, these are just being more and more impressive, and amazing, can't wait for the next one already! 😁 (also, fun fact: at 17:14, those Half Life 2 models gave me nostalgia 😅)
You know there's a part of me that really hopes that this is the end for the viewpoint character. He's been through a lot! There's also a part of me that hopes the story goes on...
He is intelligently suspicious and scared, as I believe anyone should be, being in the Backrooms. But it's insanely noisy. It even sounds su*c*d*l: "COF! COF! COF! Hear me and see me, entities! COF! COF! I'm here! COOOOOF!! Right here! COF-COF-COF! Righr hereeee...!"
That moment when the camera malfunctions was such a great way to tell the audience "There is -something- in that corridor" without even upsething the tempo. Good one. Also, of only for a moment, It felt as if the space behind the threshold was yet another liminal space. That would be quite a harsh way to end the video for the wanderer... Yet, somehow reality might be more dangerous to him than the Backrooms.
I would have never went towards that dark narrow hole in the wall when he gets near some construction stuff and would have went around the corner instead, but it seems he made the right decision. That was also a really nice touch how you made it feel like the traveller wouldn't know if the facility was just a continuation of The Backrooms or not. Odd that the place was very empty though; you'd think there would people monitoring the threshold at all times.
Astounding work guys. Still can't remind me of a time that I watched something so genuine and peculiar that could cause an arising feeling of overwhelming (and from unknown origin) anxiety. Just like Lovecraft said "The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown"

Agreed. The elevators is forever a no for me.

@@阿科-b5i the way the researching was talking... I feel like it's part of the backrooms still. The kid sounded natural, the other guy did not

The way our protagonists are progressing in such a natural, human way is very immersive. Your videos bring a quality matched by few.

Hot damn, 20 minutes! This must've taken ages to make, especially with how well done it all is. Bravo, seriously!
does it not blow anyone's mind how they were able to do this? Everything looks so real.
Awesome as always. A few things I noticed which really stood out:
When the main character rounds the corner and sees the model box for the first time, his reaction is subtle but makes sense.

It's strange that there is no one at all in the A-Sync facility when he 'returns' and finds that one random worker there. A facility like that should be well populated with engineers, scientists etc. To me, seems like the Backrooms created that mock-up to confuse the camera guy. Just doesn't add up to me.
Ok I thought so as well , but how can it creat a human ? That is throwing me off
Maybe it was nighttime when he got there? That would explain why there's so few people around

So tragically brilliant: the way that you can't even tell at first whether you've really made it out or not. What really tugged at my heart was when the camera person urgently ran and hid at the first sign of noise and motion- not knowing or trusting that it was actually another human being.

A thing that disturbed me a lot : the lack of sound. There is a beacon to guide you to the threshold : not hearing it puzzled me. And when the gate close, there is a distinctive beeping shound, lacking too. For quite some time, I was thinking this was not asynch, but a "replication" made by the Backrooms to mimic the true one. i swear, other than Kane Pixels, you make the best quality Backrooms content. This is what the Backrooms should be. Level 0 with all the existential dread of being lost in a liminal space.
Lost in the Hyperverse makes some pretty good videos too.
Matt Studios is also top notch
I DO like the idea of the BActeria, but I agree it should end there
@@JeremySolo i think shadow people are a cool idea. Figures always around the corner that you barely catch a glimpse. Memorys lost to the backrooms.
The levels is just so people can feel creative and try to put their own spin on it and feel like they've contributed something, instead of simply expanding upon the basic concept.
I like how at 12:53 he made a nice reference to Kane pixels presentation with the little table layout.
It’s so nice, having a survivor make it so far he actually gets out.
The part where he was in the endless rows of lockers and then he started hearing all those voices, so he freaked out and ran and the voices got louder and louder but you never saw anything?? But something banged on the elevator door anyway after he'd shut it???? That was genuinely so terrifying
Also, I adore how both you and Kane really make it feel like the viewer is trapped in the backrooms.
Considering the way things go in the Backrooms, the exit is probably the BoneThief's litter box.

He is intelligently suspicious and scared, as I believe anyone should be, being in the Backrooms. But it's insanely noisy. It even sounds su*c*d*l:
"COF! COF!
Kinda reminds of the async worker in Kane’s video the camera glitches time traveled in the future there is theory this happened as well

Man, the "waiting for elevator while danger is approaching" trope never fails to raise my anxiety through the roof.
This video is literally insane! The ending was amazing too!
