Two more small critiques. 1. When he was running away, why wouldn't he follow the line? I think anyone in that situation would most likely run like hell along the line until you got back to the facility. 2. If the researchers had a limited supply of air why wouldn't they have something like a golf cart to cover distances more quickly? They're going to use most of it just getting to and returning from the place where they plan to start their search. 3. Bonus critique. Yeah, the breathing.
I think that for number 2, this video was made before the Backrooms episode by Kane Pixels called "Reunion", which is when the whole idea of golf carts was first seen.
"I've spent the last 3 days being hunted by other worldly creatures and almost died a dozen or more times; all while choking on bacteria. But yeah sure, I'll go back into that deathtrap of a maze unarmed and unprepared."
Mixed feelings on this one. It's really strange how Chris finally managed to find the exit, only to come back into the backrooms without a second thought when asked, considering what he's been through and the shit he's seen in there. People went missing in front of his eyes and he's like "yea sure I'll come with you". Another thing that bothered me is that these scientists/researches also went in without much thought, no safety protocols, no permission, nothing. They just jumped right in there. Other than that, great work on everything else!
They should have radioed to someone where they were going, that they had a survivor with them, and gone in armed. Also Chris shouldn't have gone back in.
@@apotheases Any sane person would 100% refuse to go back in there. Chris literally saw monsters and still decided to go back. Unless this is a plot point that would be explained later, this is such a big oversight in my eyes.
yeah its shitty writing and the monster-nonsense and the lights turning off etc. is just lame. This is cheap and kills the original backrooms vibes. Sometimes less is better
I think you guys aren’t as smart as Chris. He works for these people so he knows better than most that if he isn’t useful….. he might as well be in the back rooms. It’s really your only move at that point, do you think they are going to let you just walk? Best you can hope for is that they send a larger team and are more prepared
good addition to the story, but I have to say though, there's no way our protagonist ( Chris iirc) would wander around these trippy ass hallways for 3 days, and not be too freaked out, tired, hungry AND dehydrated to just decide to go back in straight away. not to mention seeing a bunch of monsters and shit in there, who in his right mind would just calmly decide to go back? either he's an entity himself, or our protagonist is superman or something :S
yeah, that went way to fast and smooth. no interogations what happend? no meal, no prep, no nothing? just 2 guys deciding to take a kid back into the backrooms where at least 2 of their collegues died/went missing? no bigger group necessary? dude. that took me out in an instant.
What if everything he have seen have been an illusion, the entry to the Async facility etc maybe he never found the facility being so deep in, days in there can make anyone nuts lol
Chris: I got lost in an extradimensional space for days and encountered horrifying entities! Scientist: wanna do it again? Chris: yes, also I have asthma
As others have said, this one is a bit immersion breaking tbh. I don't really care about the loud breathing personally, I think it makes sense. I just can't understand why Chris would be so down to head right back in without food, water, a shower, and a fucking billion dollar prize. He was stuck in there for 3 days and was probably back in the real world for less than like 15 minutes before he just walks right back in when he's already seen the terrain shift before AND encountered the entities? One of the hazmat's mentioned bringing him in so he could lead them, but all the pathways are marked by tape and he's literally just some random civilian so why would they even want to bring him back in? Like yeah, just found out both that 3 of our colleagues have likely been killed already or are lost starving deep in the maze, AND that this place can just pick up normal people from reality and plop them inside, but the one guy mentions he didn't even let the supervisor know they were headed back in? It's pretty ridiculous, unless of course there's like some specific reason planned for all of this lol. Edit: As someone pointed out, they did notify the supervisor. I heard the line as "Nah, I'll just let him know.", but even in the captions he says "Yeah, I just let him know." so my bad there.
Thats called pure curiosity, they didn't thought...they just went in. If chris makes it back maybe he will get suspended permanently from the a-sync team due to no granted permission.
@@TheFlodyo that sounds like pure COPE to me. No way in hell some rando falls through reality into another dimension, wanders around for days without food or water while constantly breathing in toxic mold and they just jump immediately back in, curious or not.
bahahaha genius writer over here lmao. how about to see what he recognizes like they were asking half the video? genius complains and remains useless, headlines say
Time Index - 2:30 hazmat1: "Did you inform the supervisor that we're heading in?" hazmat2: "yeah, i just let him know" Just to clear up that one point..
On behalf of all mankind, I apologize for us infiltrating your dimension. As a Libra, I see both sides of the issue, we were clearly not meant to be in this place. Two totally different life forms, (humans, Entities)) alien to each other.
So I have some theories here that can maybe explain the immersion breakers people have been talking about. Maybe they actually did collect his footage and just gave him a new tape to record on. This could explain the long gap in time before Chris had his suit on. As for sending him back into the complex it could be that they realized he was already doomed and didn't feel like treating him. He maybe agreed to it because the bacteria is messing with his head perhaps? Yeah I know that part is quite a stretch but I still feel strong about the footage explanation.
I think this is a good observation. A-sync could really send that concept home with maybe a small clip of the A-sync employee maybe talking to a higher up command in a security cam about the current situation. Would help with immersion while also showing a continuing and cohesive plot.
If the bacteria messes with peoples heads, why the fuck would any organisation send in a liability into the backrooms? Why do they have no weapons or heavy backup?
7:52 bro tripped on air then made the floor frictionless 💀 All jokes aside this wasn’t too bad. Of course the breathing is annoying, and the plot of him almost dying then willingly goes back in is unrealistic
It would've been better if the researchers sent Christopher away, having him tested and interviewed. And then, the story would just center on the researchers themselves returning to the Backrooms to find their coworkers. They couldn't have just send him back to the Backrooms like that. Regardless, great video.
I agree. They could bring back Chris, but not through A-Sync. Chris could just no-clip again from a different location, as if he was somehow meant to be in the backrooms.
Maybe he never made it out after all. The "people" in the rooms don't act quite entirely normal and that would explain the behavior of the employees he meets. Plus the rooms don't like to let things leave.
"What do you think about the idea of going back in with us and um trying to retrace your steps to help us find them?" "No need, bud. I've got it all on camera. You can use the footage to see where we were. Bye! :) "
OMFG, the CGI in all of these looks so damn good! I'm really interested in the technical aspect of these videos. When I first found out about this whole Backrooms thing a week ago it apparently started out as a single 4chan image of an office space with yellow walls and florescent lights, etc. Then I watched a Kane Pixels video I found on YT. It all looked legit real, right down to the camera movements and all. I kept asking myself if all those crazy rooms were practical sets that were built. Then I read that Kane Pixels actually used a combination of Blender and Adobe After Effects to accomplish the aesthetic and super realistic look of everything. I was like Holy Shit. Now watching your videos in conjunction with KP's, I can tell that it's CGI, but extremely good! It was a bit easier to tell once Chris E ran into the other researchers. The Uncanny Valley-ness starts to show a little. All three of them even walk the exact same, right down to their foot positions, when they go back inside the Backrooms. Excellent job with everything!
im 36 so the whole "creepypasta/backrooms" thing never landed with me, kinda makes me cringe honestly. but these environment renders combined with the good camera work are top notch. very good work.
I love this work. However, this is the first to break my immersion. Why did he get sent back in immediately after getting out? It would have been more effective to interview the Chris or review the video tape. Now you risk losing the videotape if he gets lost again. Also, the gas mask breathing does not make since unless the camera is inside the suit with him.
I was thinking the same thing with the breathing. I had to turn the volume halfway down just to keep watching. And then I could barely hear what they were saying.
I love how they just suited up and went in so casually unarmed. I love it even more when Chris just runs the other direction instead of just following back the taped path.
I'm really enjoying these little episodes that come up every once in a while. There's something about how you make these videos and show and produce detail that makes it feel real. The breathing does get a bit annoying but it keeps the realism which I appreciate. Seeing the character's feet and arms also makes you feel immersed as you are watching this "recording". Also near the end, I could almost feel, smell, and sense the space around in that brightly lit room. Something perked at me about it being very familiar like I've been there before... Something like seeing a empty apartment or freshly built house without the furniture. It resonates with me.
They're walking along and one guy says to the guy next to him, "Do you think you could outrun an entity?" He looks over and replies, "I don't have to outrun an entity... I just need to outrun you"
You'd think they'd get some golf cars to cover the ground faster. Also, damn, at this point, you'd think that the researchers would have weapons. Not to criticize: I love what you guys are doing with this science-fiction-horror themed premise.
@@glvbukz897 No - it's all blender/animation, even the guy in the tie. All of it. All of those animations are available to use. Kane Pixels literally used the exact same render of the changing room in one of his videos and used the animation of the figure in the tie, as well. ALL of these videos are "renders" - it's all animation.
The researchers/explorers are really not as smart as you'd hope. Really love where this arc is going though. Cameraman (Chris, right?) just can't seem to escape the backrooms, even after finding the exit. Fated to die here it seems. I wonder what would've happened if he refused to go back in.
Part of me wonders if the explorers actually applied to Async or if they volunteered for a large sum of money up front. I would do this for 500k up front and a pension for the rest of my life but I sure as hell would not go in the backrooms for a job only pays ng 40-60k a year.
tbh, they would've probably killed him if he refused, since the cameraman would just be a loose end for Async & would've possibly leaked information of the backrooms and the location of the facility if they simply let him go if he refused
@@Umbreedon well from what we have seen, A-sync isn’t exactly evil, but they might have kept him there for a bit, test him, and make him sign some non disclosure agreement.
It's hard not to agree with some of the criticisms below. If you paired one of these experienced animators with a really good writer, just think how epic these could be. As it stands, it's like the desire to release new videos as quickly as possible takes the front seat, and the simplistic story is just there to justify the CGI work. As we are taught, and as we've seen from a hundred+ years of cinema, it's the other way around. Story is first.
Since this is not a movie and does not claim to be one I can’t follow your criticism. It‘s a different format and for me it‘s about atmosphere first. I you want to compare it you might compare it to 2001 A Space Odyssey where the story clearly took a back seat. Even the breathing noises are similar to some scenes im 2001.
1) An outsider should have never been involved in any work going back into the backrooms. He should have gone through decontamination and debriefing, then returned back to wherever he originally came from and told never to speak of anything he witnessed. That or have him apply to work for A-Sync if it was felt that his experience would be valueable to future explorations. 2) A search and rescue mission should have involved more than just 3 people. A team of at least six would be more appropriate. 3) None of the researchers have any sort of means to defend themselves should anything happen or they encounter something hostile. Even if they had never encountered any entities yet, they should be armed. 4) When traversing such long distances, they should be utilizing some form of wheeled transportation, such as bicycles or motorized carts. It allows for much faster travel and the researchers would not get tired from being on their feet all the time and walking for hours. 5) All researchers in the backrooms should have some form of communication line back to HQ at all times. If the interior of the backrooms interferes with radio signals, then have wired communication stations setup every 500 feet or so. 6) Absolutely nobody seems to have any sense of urgency throughout the rescue planning or execution. This means that: a) this has never happened before and they're just making things up as they go along, meaning there is no plan, just react and see what happens. b) this actually occurs often and the lost researchers just show back up as suddenly as they disappeared, no harm done. c) this has happened before with none or some of the missing never being found, but A-Sync makes it clear that the research must continue regardless of the human cost, meaning the researchers are simply following along and hoping for the best. Conclusion: A-Sync needs to upgrade and rethink their safety precautions regarding the backrooms phenomina. I understand this footage is nearly 40 years old, so it is likely that these issues were addressed a long time ago. These early ventures into the backrooms seems ameaturish and lazy.
I don't like the idea of our protagonist Chris never asks about what is going on about backrooms and he was down to go back in despite what he's been through.
"I don't get it. We have all these paths marked out on the soggy ass carpet! How do we keep losing researchers??!!" "Ahh, sir, we believe this mysterious dimension is capable of bending its own reality and switching itself around." "Good work, Jenkins. Now take 3 other colleagues and go follow this caution tape path on this soggy ass carpet." #Science
That constant mouth breathing in the suit is highly annoying to us headphone users. Especially since the camera is outside the suit there is no way it would be that loud. Other than that this is phenomenal. Just some constructive criticism. If I were you I would record the sound of an actual scuba/scba mask if you can get access to one. I used to wear scba equipment on the regular for damage control training in the Navy, it is no where near that loud nor does it force you to mouth breath. You make the best backrooms content on RUclips other than Kane of course, I always get excited when I see you post!
I'd like to add that no one holding a hand held camera in 1984 is swinging it around like this. Anything capable of recording for more than 25 minutes was bulky and heavy; you turn your head to look around, while pointing the camera at something, bringing the camera around only when there's something to actually point it at. Rather than doing things because KanePixels did it (the video turning off periodically, the swinging camera view, etc) one should strive to make it feel more real. No one running from a monster turns their full body around for their shoulder-rested 1984 video camera to get a good look, it would be in their hand, upsidedown, facing backwards, giving scattered views of the monster as the person ran from it.
@@applejax1017 the way he was breathing while just standing in one spot not running reminds me of the way they told my wife to breath when she was giving birth to our son. Not even exaggerating.
Ok, everyone is being way too chill about what is going down. You got a guy who ends up in the backrooms, spends an ungodly amount of time lost on his own, see's other people go missing in this hostile place, and the moment he is able to escape he is completely nonchalant about it all and all too willing to go back in? Why? He should be freaking out wondering what the hell is going on, and demanding to just leave the facility. The A Sync team should be on this like flies to shit. An outsider who ends up in the backrooms and then enters the heart of their facility should be cause for alarm, and for him to be detained for questioning. His tape should be confiscated, reviewed, and made copies of with him being held to see if he brought back any infection. Much less be invited back into the backrooms with no formal training, or any of the staff having any clue who this guy is. It would have been better if he was offered a job there, his knowledge helping to build a rescue party team much later.
The "researchers" reacted to the situation like it is something completely unexpected, and they talk about going through the threshold like it was nothing (even inform superior before going in is optional). Also from the previous episode we know that they leave the threshold completely unguarded and directly connected to their office wing. They also trying to find people lost in the backroom by retracing, which we know is nonsense. All of these suggests they lack basic understanding about the backroom, combined with the backroom table model (the same one used in Kane's real estate video), this whole incident may be occurring at an early time point in history, when A-sync have yet realize the danger in backroom and was simply trying to commercialize the whole endeavor. These may not be researchers at all but real estate agents or surveyors (people who measure/mark the land for sale).
I agree with you, I almost believe most of these "researchers" are not only realtors and surveyors, but also essentially expendable, inexperienced, paid volunteers (with a fancy sounding title "researcher") who explore the threshold for the higher ups. Whose deaths can be easily covered up or explained away with corporate-ese, platitudes, and legally binding papers.
I agree, real researchers would never behave like this. They know of the bacteria danger but seem unaware of the other hazards posed by the backrooms. Which would explain why they decided to bring Chris back in with them. The fact that he so calmly complied is surprising, but I do think he feels responsible for the fate of the guys who found him. And also I wonder how much that bacteria has begun to affect him already.
This guy spent three days in the backrooms, witnessed something take multiple researchers and nearly died on multiple occasions, yet doesn't hesitate to go back in when asked? Either this is a case of poor writing or Christopher E. ***** is the most badass person alive.
I thought the reason Chris went back in was because it was implied he was forced to and was scared that if he did not comply that he would be killed or forced in a more violent way. Maybe the ASYNC researchers who knew about how the bacteria inside level 0 effects someone, felt it was too late to save Chris from an unknown ailment implied from him coughing, so they felt he would be more useful going back to find the past researchers regardless of the human rights violations, so they gave him a hazmat suit to prolong his life enough to help them find the others.
Solid work as always! Considering the limitations around the production of the series I'm always really impressed by what you're able to come up with. And while obviously inspired by KP's work yours really stands on its own in a unique way that also remains respectful of the ethos of his version of the backrooms. Always stoked when a new video comes out.
cant wait bro you put so much work into these man. to be able to run 2 channels actively at once is so amazing to me i dont know how you do it bro. keep up the amazing work💜
What's his other channel!? I need to immediately subscribe. All I can find on the about info is that this is heavily inspired by Kane pixels and no other channel pops up on the channel thing. Must know, need to watch every video on the channel immediately.
Cool project just a few things I might suggest. 1. the breathing is too loud 2. the characters walk like clowns with big shoes and broken knees. maybe turn the feet in just a tad.
You know what, I can tell you put a lot of effort into these, and you enjoy what you’re doing, having lots of fun with the material. Keep it up, and make what you imagine come to life as always!
Ok, I have two questions after watching this one: 1. Why would the protagonist have no problem with going back into the backrooms after finally escaping, despite all the trauma, he has been through? 2. Also when he was escaping whatever was in the last room, why didn't he follow the guide tape so he could've at least made it back to the Async facility?
He wouldn’t have gone back to the facility because when your being chased by a screaming entity, you can’t think of anything else but escaping so he would’ve just escaped the entity and was so traumatized that he went the other way to escape it
I cannot get enough of this series, I don't want it to end! It would be really cool to see other survivors or other parts of the backrooms like tunnels or office complexes or even buildings cut in half since everything that ends up in the backrooms fall out of reality. Would be interesting to see a slow stalker type entity like a serial killer from a slasher flick or at least something similar, slow moving enemies such as the regenerators from RE4 really stuck with me, It would be great to see someone become an entity or at least in the process of becoming one but just some ideas! :D
If they do decide to go this route with the "entities," then I hope A-Sync at least keeps consistent with the original environment of the backrooms instead of delving into all that "levels" nonsense.
I just had to imagine the guy chugged a glass of water, and half of someone’s tuna sandwich, burst into tears, collapsed and slept for 24 hours, ate a breakfast, had coffee, and then bravely reentered the back rooms after the supervisor begged him to.
This was amazing and scary. The storytelling is very good. Even if people think the breathing was distracting I felt it was very organic. The mics aren't supposed to be the best from a 90s video camera. Also the lighting is so good! I look forward to your videos please don't stop!
"The storytelling is very good" Man gets lost in endless hell-like maze for three days with no food or water, gets found and without being recovered and rehabilitated, gets sent back in, without question, with other scientists to look for other scientists who are possibly already dead, in a hostile environment they know is populated with monsters, with no weapons. This is like crawling out of hell and deciding to jump back in because you forgot your toothbrush.
He just escapes then immediately agrees to go back in. No debrief, no looking at the recorded footage. They're not even interested to see how this guy got in there. The breathing is too loud. Why when these guys are attacked he didn't try to run back to the exit? Immediately makes himself lost again. The work is amazing I love every bit of it but the story makes no sense.
Oh heck nah my ptsd could never, he volunteered to go back in after everything he’s been through, after knowing he’s getting sick, knowing what he’s seen in there, still choosing to go back for the people that tried to help him who are still lost. I know it’s fiction but damn. I’d be catatonic upon being found or far sooner before making it out.
Love the work, couple things I’d suggest story wise, Have async do a debrief, once Chris tells them everything it would make sense to have an armed team make entry
Two things could’ve been better, First, The deep breathing gets annoying after a while, I suppose perhaps the air is thinner in there, Second, they wouldn’t just go back in there after finding Christopher, They would wait til morning and have a meeting with A-Sync, and discuss what to do next, going back in there unprepared is a bad mistake.
This is extremely well done. I gotta be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of the 'trope' where the lights go off one by one and of the researchers gets pulled by some type of entity/something. It kinda pulls me out of the immersion. Other than that, this is such an amazing piece of art.
@@Hawk-yx7qh in my opinion it adds up to the fear of the unknown, because you know that something lurks there and you never know if it will show up behind one corner. If you know the backrooms are empty then there is nothing to fear. It's the same as swimming in a pool or in the ocean
A person literally vanished and the other one got dragged in front of you, what do you think he would do? A) Try to help B) Run to his way back with *LITERALLY* a path that tells you where to go C) act like nothing happened and get lost again
D) Soil himself before setting a new record running all the way back. E) Drop the camera and run off in a panic, never to be seen again. I'm going to go with "D" as the most probable scenario.
My only major complaint is that the breathing is wayyyy too loud. There shouldn't be a mic inside his suite. I can't hear anything anyone says and it sounds like Darth Vader breathing through a megaphone.
You should do a video where they decide to use a golf cart to go through the back rooms. Walking through is more ominous but I wonder if it could be done. Love your videos! 😊
Love the videos, amazing stuff. However, I'm confused about the bacteria/mold issue and the suits as I don't see decontamination process happening anywhere. We've seen people without suits working in the same areas as people with suits passing through. Do contaminents just not cross the threshold? Cheers:]
It just fascinates me that this company came across a unknown and vast yellow space that is almost the size of 152 North American continents. It is huge and completely terrifying. And what's crazy is that they know anything about its landscape and want to make storage units in there. Wow.
Wanted. All this happened in the past, years ago. And today, we cannot be sure what all of their goals had been. We can be sure that eventually something went horribly wrong, and everyone at this "A-Sync_ payed a terrible price. ☹️
One thing that breaks immersion for me is that they are not going in with weapons, especially that they are already aware of entities. They should atleast have 1 armed person in the group.
I like the idea that there's multiple versions of A-Sync across the multiverse who discovered the Backrooms at different points in time but the Backrooms exist in all realities so there's the chance of bleed in between all of them. Sort of similar to SCP-3008. Same goes with the original more modern stuff with all the various levels. It all counts.
Real life vs. Backrooms Real life: "I'm being chased in an area I don't know. I'm gonna run back the way I came." Backrooms: "I'm being chased in an area I don't know. I'm gonna ignore the guide on the floor and run randomly off into infinity." The fact that anyone would be dumb enough to go into the Backrooms, not once, but TWICE, knowing the eerie and scary sh*t that happens there, deserves whatever cruel fate awaits them. Then again, this is the 80's and 90's. Looking at humanity's choices back then, I shouldn't be surprised . . .
Absolutely loving this series! One small point of criticism, I feel like the continued heavy breathing could be toned down quite a bit. Someone in a suit like that may have some heavier breathing, but I feel like the video is a bit excessive, the camera is not 'inside' the suit so I believe it would not be quite so loud. I think it takes away from the pseudo-seriousness of the videos.
Honestly, I liked this one a lot, the breathing made it feel all the more claustrophobic because, ngl, them hazmat suits have always made me claustrophobic and I’ve never even tried one on. While I understand the issues with him going back in immediately instead of being interrogated/interviewed it kinda does make sense for our main character here to wanna go back in because maybe he feels partially responsible for members of their team going missing cuz they went missing trying to get him out. Just some food for thought
Complementary and exciting add on to Kane Pixels work. If these are co-split on the copyrights, then that would be great and would make sense to keep driving engagement and telling a fun story ;) I follow both
These are great and will keep watching. But I agree with some of the criticism. No regular dude in his right mind would consider going back to that hell. Especially not so quickly, on a rescue mission that he had to have some idea is a long shot at best. And then with only two other men, and unarmed. The footage is still edge of your seat madness. But it feels like Kane felt maybe it was time to have what is becoming the typical “tripod chases protagonist through maze” offering, as the last few videos relied a bit more on the atmospheric horror that makes this series really work. If so he can’t be blamed in our instant gratification society for feeling pressure to throw in a tripod chase scene to keep people from getting bored. If this is so, I think it’s a mistake. From reading the comments I read here, I think Kane can be confident that he does not have to pander to the LCD here, as it would appear thet his audience is fairly sophisticated in this regard and really does understand what he is trying to do, and that he doesn’t have to appease anyone’s appetite for generic “tripod attacks team” videos every 3rd month or something. Another problem I also see here is the rather inexplicable lack of variation where the entities are concerned. I definitely would hate to see things get crazy with a host of weird, aggressive entities at every turn. But considering the supposed vastness of the Backrooms that there would be er least a little more variation where entities are concerned, even st such an early stage. Even just a couple more I think would make a huge difference. I still love his work though. Must say this lest anyone get the wrong idea. I just don’t want to see this go the route of so many other offerings that tend to sacrifice much of the unique charm that made them special, in a bid to pander to the populace and it’s more generic appetite for overt violence just for the sake of it, with no patience for some of the more subtle, unique, elements that make it great and set it apart.
The kids been wandering maybe 3 days. No food, no water, no sleep. Back in the 80's, it was huge camcorders that you carried on your shoulder when recording. He must be Superman. Then go right back in after escaping.
1. The breathing got annoying in 4 seconds 2. Why did they decided to bring the kid along and why did he agree instantly after what he went threw 3. The breathing got annoying in 4 seconds 4. Why can you hear the cameraman loud ass breathing but not the others. (not that I really want to) I don't hate this video but just pointing out some things that broke the immersion
There is something big I’m noticing. This was recorded in 1984 inside the backrooms opened in 1989. So how could he be inside the backrooms even tho the backrooms opened 5 years later?
I'd also like to add that while the graphics are decent, the acting and storytelling are terrible. This whole scenario doesn't make sense, and the people can barely speak. Also, how much battery and memory does that camera have? It's been running for three days. NO-ONE had any questions for the guy they just found? And, as a reminder, the guy in this video had been without food, sleep, or water, for THREE DAYS. Constantly running from entities.

"I was lost for 3 days there."
"You wanna head back in?"
"Yeah sure!"
Because why the hell not 😂
bro, any human being that went through hellish nightmare wouldn't want to go back.
Agree 100%
Hey I just escaped the backrooms! You know what? Lets go back in. Seems like a great idea after being there for days.
good addition to the story, but I have to say though, there's no way our protagonist ( Chris iirc) would wander around these trippy ass hallways for 3 days, and not be too freaked out, tired, hungry AND dehydrated to just decide to go back in straight away.
not to mention seeing a bunch of monsters and shit in there, who in his right mind would just calmly decide to go back?
either he's an entity himself, or our protagonist is superman or something :S
Could be setting up hints at mental changes from extended Backrooms trips. Maybe people start to get addicted to exploring it
yeah, that went way to fast and smooth. no interogations what happend? no meal, no prep, no nothing? just 2 guys deciding to take a kid back into the backrooms where at least 2 of their collegues died/went missing? no bigger group necessary? dude. that took me out in an instant.
Ohhhh the entity theory is very interesting!!
ikr? dude has to be stupid as shit to decide to go back in there, either that or he has nothing to lose
“what do you think about the idea of going back in with us”
Nah I just made it out with my life intact and you want me to go back !?
Me: "Nah bro I wanna go outside and see that beautiful sky"
I heard the line as "Nah, I'll just let him know.", but even in the captions he says "Yeah, I just let him know." so my bad there.
yeah i agree, i really love these videos but this one doesn't make total sense? i hope the creator doesn't see all this as hate though
Thats called pure curiosity, they didn't thought...they just went in. If chris makes it back maybe he will get suspended permanently from the a-sync team due to no granted permission.
@@TheFlodyo that sounds like pure COPE to me. No way in hell some rando falls through reality into another dimension, wanders around for days without food or water while constantly breathing in toxic mold and they just jump immediately back in, curious or not.
bahahaha genius writer over here lmao. how about to see what he recognizes like they were asking half the video? genius complains and remains useless, headlines say

hazmat2: "yeah, i just let him know"
Just to clear up that one point..
The atmosphere in these videos is something unexplainable. Great work A-Sync Research as always, don't stop making these! You're a legend
Yeah I know that part is quite a stretch but I still feel strong about the footage explanation.
might be right since they liked your comment
I think this is a good observation. A-sync could really send that concept home with maybe a small clip of the A-sync employee maybe talking to a higher up command in a security cam about the current situation. Would help with immersion while also showing a continuing and cohesive plot.
@@zodiac8824 Or maybeeee a random comment gave them a good out for plot holes and bad writing
If the bacteria messes with peoples heads, why the fuck would any organisation send in a liability into the backrooms? Why do they have no weapons or heavy backup?
7:52 bro tripped on air then made the floor frictionless 💀
All jokes aside this wasn’t too bad.
At the very least a jumpcut of debreif / medical check / dinner.
"I was lost for 3 days!" "Cool, now right back in! The starvation will motivate you!"
That would cause a plot hole, since the earlier Christopher tapes said his whereabouts are unknown
Maybe he never made it out after all. The "people" in the rooms don't act quite entirely normal and that would explain the behavior of the employees he meets. Plus the rooms don't like to let things leave.
"What do you think about the idea of going back in with us and um trying to retrace your steps to help us find them?"
"No need, bud. I've got it all on camera. You can use the footage to see where we were. Bye! :) "
Amazing job! Only problem is that the breathing is too loud, after a while it gets annoying
You've my words
No, no not after "a while", it got annoying in about 4 seconds.
"Wow, this truly is a real POV experience!" - Darth Vader
I'd say the poor acting by the supper visor was more grading personally
Also if he's carrying the camera outside the suit, why would his breathing pick up so loud on the camera?
You can still hear the heavy breathing outside of a breathing apparatus. Might be a bit loud but the noise definitely makes sense
I too think that interviewing and then sending him back in would have made more sense
I was thinking the same thing with the breathing. I had to turn the volume halfway down just to keep watching. And then I could barely hear what they were saying.
Gas mask valves are fairly loud

Not to criticize: I love what you guys are doing with this science-fiction-horror themed premise.
even a bicycle would already do wonders
An armoured tank would be useful. With a flame thrower. Or maybe just fly some mapping drones through the maze like in Prometheus?

ALL of these videos are "renders" - it's all animation.
@@redadamearth That’s amazing.

You don't like the walking simulator?
But their is a story here.
@@firedathan There is, it just isn't too good.
Since this is not a movie and does not claim
to be one I can’t follow your criticism. It‘s a different format and for me it‘s about atmosphere first. I you want to compare it you might compare it to 2001 A Space Odyssey where the story clearly took a back seat. Even the breathing noises are similar to some scenes im 2001.
@@ChromeKong Big part of the atmosphere of the backrooms relies on the story behind it.
You and Kane make the highest quality possible of videos. And I appreciate you guys for that. 👍

"I don't get it. We have all these paths marked out on the soggy ass carpet! How do we keep losing researchers??!!"

Have to prove the hypothesis.
Good video but goddamn that breathing was loud af
Don't worry, it's annoying on speakers too.
No only loud but fast and hard. Guy is hyperventilating.. makes it almost impossible to watch for me
@@applejax1017 the way he was breathing while just standing in one spot not running reminds me of the way they told my wife to breath when she was giving birth to our son. Not even exaggerating.

Dude good job because that scream was more scarier than the ones Kane pixels makes I was so scared after that
Ok, everyone is being way too chill about what is going down.
Glad I’m not the only one wondering why this is like this
I literally watch these videos to pass the time until Kane pixels drops videos
He should have been put under observation and given some time to rest.
Lmfao flies onto shit
Why cause that's all he knows. Like being in jail. Same concept
It’s because the voice acting is crap.
Most bullsh** person alive.
Poor writing
Trash fanfic lmaooooo
I thought the reason Chris went back in was because it was implied he was forced to and was scared that if he did not comply that he would be killed or forced in a more violent way. Maybe the ASYNC researchers who knew about how the bacteria inside level 0 effects someone, felt it was too late to save Chris from an unknown ailment implied from him coughing, so they felt he would be more useful going back to find the past researchers regardless of the human rights violations, so they gave him a hazmat suit to prolong his life enough to help them find the others.

1. Why would the protagonist have no problem with going back into the backrooms after finally escaping, despite all the trauma, he has been through?
2. Also when he was escaping whatever was in the last room, why didn't he follow the guide tape so he could've at least made it back to the Async facility?

Second, they wouldn’t just go back in there after finding Christopher,
They would wait til morning and have a meeting with A-Sync, and discuss what to do next, going back in there unprepared is a bad mistake.

Your work is equally amazing! It would be cool to have all 3 of you collab!
@@ginatchi Thanks man, but I don't think my work is that good XD
You're a good employee man!
This is going to be so good!
You should do a video where they decide to use a golf cart to go through the back rooms. Walking through is more ominous but I wonder if it could be done. Love your videos! 😊
Terrible idea
@@broforcefreedom4936 agreed. A warthog would be better.
Stuck in backroom hell for two days with no food or sleep, goes back to save some dudes with no break, what a champ. Love the video thoo
HELL no I wouldn't GO BACK into the backrooms, after JUST getting out.
This video was amazing! But, why did he not followed the main line to get to the threshold when he was chased ?
Love the videos, amazing stuff. However, I'm confused about the bacteria/mold issue and the suits as I don't see decontamination process happening anywhere. We've seen people without suits working in the same areas as people with suits passing through. Do contaminents just not cross the threshold? Cheers:]
Maybe they do have a decontamination chamber, but it's just in an unseen sector of the facility? Alright mate, you really got me thinking.
Could be that the bacteria behaves differently and is much more lethal when it's present in the backrooms. In our reality, it's likely not doing much.
He was in a rush to make content…
Keep in mind the time era this was in.
@@Shyhalu Well, you're not wrong.
Backrooms
Real life: "I'm being chased in an area I don't know. I'm gonna run back the way I came."
Backrooms: "I'm being chased in an area I don't know. I'm gonna ignore the guide on the floor and run randomly off into infinity."
The fact that anyone would be dumb enough to go into the Backrooms, not once, but TWICE, knowing the eerie and scary sh*t that happens there, deserves whatever cruel fate awaits them. Then again, this is the 80's and 90's. Looking at humanity's choices back then, I shouldn't be surprised . . .
Hey, I would have answered the same thing too, they could kill you if you don't cooperate.
Also, we already saw that the tapes are no longer secure.
"Looking at humanity's choices back then, I shouldn't be surprised . . ."
Hey, we're still here, y'know.
If these are co-split on the copyrights, then that would be great and would make sense to keep driving engagement and telling a fun story ;)
I follow both
This rendering is pretty good reminiscent of Entry level, but reconfigured
yo there feet walking is hilarious ... shape is V
it's a video game
So it's another great video like usual, but the breathing is ear-shatteringly loud.
This is so good, thanks for working hard so that I could enjoy this.
1. The breathing got annoying in 4 seconds
2. Why did they decided to bring the kid along and why did he agree instantly after what he went threw
3. The breathing got annoying in 4 seconds
4. Why can you hear the cameraman loud ass breathing but not the others. (not that I really want to)
I don't hate this video but just pointing out some things that broke the immersion
5. Why does is it always the cameraman surviving
There is something big I’m noticing. This was recorded in 1984 inside the backrooms opened in 1989. So how could he be inside the backrooms even tho the backrooms opened 5 years later?
But problem is this starts when I have school
I don't see how anybody can complain when this channel is dropping Kane level work at a surprisingly fast rate. We don't deserve it to be honest.
If you're lost for three days without food, sleep, or water, you wouldn't be in any shape to go anywhere.
