I love this take on the Backrooms, no cheap jumpscares or ridiculous entities, just ambient horror of the unknown and the thought you may be gone forever, I specially like the the focus on the videogame terminology form of backrooms, like if the reality is simulated and you ended up on the test server somehow where there's future or older versions of the same map and even odd geometry where the devs sometimes just leave stuff behind, never expecting that stuff to be seen.
I really like this type of backrooms where it's not just a labyrinth of empty rooms but is just like an uninhabited building that keeps going, especially in the style of the original building it feels like the most authentic representation of the backrooms
Nuh because an uninhabited building has different size rooms and scattered bits of furniture that make it unique but a labyrinth is just a bunch of near identical corridors
this has to be, hands down, one of the best backrooms videos ive ever seen for realism. you created the whole original place and the scene where the photo was from so well. great job, i hope this gets more views and blows up!
I feel it fits into the ASync lore well, it would be like a developer or business that actually utilized the storage/commercial services that the government subsidized to cover up the tears in the fabric of space-time that were occurring due to the threshold being opened
Please don't stop making these, your concept on the original backrooms is really interstellar, it makes me really intrigued on what you come up with for it
"We don't always get to choose our path in life, but people care" I really needed to hear that. Even if its just some throwaway line for mystery/creepiness sake its still a pretty good motto that helped me get through some stuff. Great vid btw
Probably the greatest narration to any Backrooms video. I love every single known real-world reference. Rohner's, fruniture store, 807, 811, 2002, HobbyTown, the race car track, renovations, Oval room. He got all the buzzwords lol.
Ok!!! GOLD!!! I don’t say this lightly… this is the best backrooms footage I’ve seen in a very long time!!! Because the voice is done well, the script for the voice is believable, the locations have original spin, and most of all, NEW IDEAS!!! YYEEESSS!!! F&@$ the standard no clip intro man!!!! Your just THERE!!! Suddenly in a twisted version of a location you’ve known!!!! That is outstanding man!!!!
Here at 1.7K views at 12am, I can guarantee this will blow up overnight. Great video man this looks so real!!! Especially the recreation of the real images, If backrooms horror is your thing then you should definitely do it!! You are very good!
It's so good to see early 2000s backrooms content getting explored. For awhile there it was 80s and 90s. Especially the 90s for some reason. Early 2000s are my most fondest childhood nostalgia so seeing the timeline of my favorite as corrupted sounds fun. I'll watch tonight. Headache and dehydrated after work because boss wouldn't let me drink water in this summer heatwave.
I literally have the same exact sentiment towards it lol. I was little in the early 2000s and I can kinda guess what I was doing on the date of this video so its nostalgic to me
Bro,I was excited when I saw the description and that there were more unblocked photos, but I realized that they were images that you had published, they look very realistic
I want to say something real quick. I love how you changed it up a little bit in the OG backrooms it's supposed to be big and empty with not that many strange objects everywhere. You changed that big rooms with random objects like teddy bears and train sets signs that say strange things functional TVs and working telephones or slightly working telephones The fact that you combined '90s and late 2000s furniture and items the box TV a few minutes after the flat screen. Modern-day TV really giving the true aspect of how the backrooms is as I'm continuing to watch, I'm noticing more and more stuff. The fact that some of the areas are falling apart, The stairway leading up to not the endless roofscape, but another location specifically put there the large gaps in the walls and random openings in this one scene that I'm looking at absolutely beautiful. I'm putting this inside my backrooms book that I'm writing
I like how the no clip happened. It wasn’t like he fell thru the floor. He was just suddenly in another place. Imo this is what no clipping would actually feel like.
I love this. I've seen a million backrooms videos, and for some reason, this interpretation is one of the scariest I've ever seen. Something about the presentation gives me so much anxiety. I think it's the cluttered layouts of the rooms - a lot of Backrooms creators use wide open spaces, but yours are filled with surreal junk. It's great.
This is hands down the best backrooms video made yet. I'm only half way in right now, and i have to hand it to you for the voice work. The way you're able to captivate the viewer into the scene as though you really are just some ordinary person going about their duties with a camera in a building they thought they were familiar with. And again, I've mentioned this in another comment on your previous video; I think THIS is what the backrooms is. The size of the rooms, the eerie yellow overtone, the hum buzz of the lights and the lack of entities. And then the real glitchy and surreal atmospheres. The backrooms seems to lose its appeal if there are monsters added, and quite frankly makes it a little less scary because its hard to take it seriously... A monster? In what's simply and clearly a glitch within reality, not an unfolding story of creatures from some story based on superstition? How old are we 😂
@@alexis_electronic well, inside of a stomach is possible... Though I like to believe that the concept of the backrooms is not only about physics breaking and other scientific happenings unknown to science, but also a malfunction in consciousness itself. Maybe something deeper and unexplainable happening within the mind. Like an example would be the possibility of going between death and life, basically limbo, but instead of roaming the earth you only see the backrooms like this because this is the only way human life can be represented in a somewhat comprehensible way to the brain that is in the limbo state, and since we aren't within the universal physics and logic that we can decipher, our brain is sort of simultaneously generating each new area while also being subject to all of the other hiccups our brains feel like despair and sadness or fear. Imagine the owners of that Hobbytown place in Oshkosh seeing how people from all over the world put all this effort into recreating their place into videos/animations/games, all because they took some photos of their empty rooms before renovation in 2002. Another thing I like is how this includes the idea that the backrooms has a mirror image reflection of the world as we know it, because one series lore states that the backrooms was intended as an untraceable surveillance method, and that you could “remotely view the first floor of every building in the USA”
I was wondering how long it would be until someone did a Found Footage video about the ACTUAL backrooms and what might have happened to the guys who took those photographs.

This is excellent work! The level of detail and the idea that he was just documenting the olace and got teleported into the backrooms is such a cool idea, and in the end, making a mock-up website is such an awesome touch! By far one of the best backrooms videos on youtube.
I feel like this video is the most true to the original photo. There's no monsters, no jumpscares, but it was still pretty eerie to watch (and even more so with the lack of them). Great work, you deserve way more subs!!

This is great work, Kauffman!! I love how seamless the transition is, unlike every video where someone falls into the Backrooms, then spends the next half hour saying "What the.." every ten seconds. You can feel the fear growing in the guy as he progresses. Subbed, man!!
6:46 you should be able to see the light shining from the tops of the lights, because those types lights are litterally just luminos panels of glass. (i have taken down a few my self durring a ceiling repair)
You are thinking of the residential hack job “faux troffers,” where they just stick a strip light above the ceiling and stick a diffuser underneath and call it a day. Real toffers found in commercial applications are large metal fixtures that slot into the ceiling, with the diffusers mounted in a swinging door on the bottom. They are pretty much totally enclosed, the only light you would see from the top would be through the venting holes and lamp removal holes.
@@rs12official if that's the case, the buzzing would be unbearable in the crawl space because of the metal troffer housing transmitting the vibrations of the ballast! i could have sworn i saw a troffer with a big chunk missing from the diffuser, and there was darkness behind it. there was also a silhouette of a pair of pliers ontop of the glass. it was in a hardware store (MITER 10 to be exact ). all i could see were pipes running above the missing chunk in glass. i could not make out where the light was coming from, what could cause such a phenomena?

[P2]: Looks like you're building, but no, that's...
[P1]: No, that's not one of our rooms in the back.
love the 4:3 upload, to fill my old ipad screen fully
This is definitely cinema, as some would say, it looks very realistic
That’s actually impressive, amazing job dude 🙌🏻
This is great work, Kauffman!! I love how seamless the transition is, unlike every video where someone falls into the Backrooms, then spends the next half hour saying "What the.." every ten seconds. You can feel the fear growing in the guy as he progresses. Subbed, man!!
Ehh no
6:46 you should be able to see the light shining from the tops of the lights, because those types lights are litterally just luminos panels of glass.
This video was pretty good, keep it up!
I wondered how long it would be until someone used the photo from the discovery of where the backrooms photo is from lol. Cool seeing it.
4:40 : because the ballasts are very old. fluorescent light ballasts get louder as they get older and weaker.
Bet this will be amazing. Keep up the good work!
Absolutely amazing as always! You've been a wonderful friend and I love hanging out with you, and it's so cool to see your channel grow with each video you post. You're awesome, love you man.
Hanging out in VC's with you is always fun, and don't forget I love your content and you as a person aw well. :>
dude this is the best backrooms video ive ever seen. textures/lighting are at least kane pixels quality and the fact that it literally IS the actual backrooms is so cool
Although this is good, I still think Backrooms Stalker is the best (other than Kanes work).
