Can we all just take a minute to appreciate the job the contractors did with the tiles? Fantastic grouting and very clean cutting of the tiles. I'd hire those guys

The cleaning staff also gets props for keeping the place spotless. Those grout lines look like they've never seen a day of wear

Very cool. Though I feel like Chris was too trusting of Rob. Rob was suspicious from the start. I admit the build-up was done really well. There were heaps of points ever since they met when I thought "oh, this is it, Rob's gonna dog him now. Oh wait, nope." haha. That slow-ass walk, always lagging uncomfortably far behind and the constant failure to reply.

@@annoyingyoutuber365There's been no confirmation on that. Basing it on the ridiculously bloated lore could be several things. Considering this guy and Kane pixels seem to be only doing the most base Bits of the backrooms I would say it's probably a skin stealer. Since most of the other entities that have been introduced are a lot more ridiculous and obscure.

This is an interesting take of the backrooms. My guess is the other guy got possessed by something, pushing the cameraman into the small pit, but with no real way to escape. Very unnerving, very well put together. I can get why people are getting a little tired of backrooms, but I still find this take fresh. Not a corporal monster, but a sort of haunting isolation where the location itself might be self-aware. Thank you for this.
In the previous video I saw a comment theorise that the backrooms tries to replicate reality, and that list has expanded to the researchers wandering around now too. So I guess it's a simulated human that is very aware and alive, but still 100% just another part of the backrooms.
to me it seen that guy saw something when chris looking down but we hear it and then the light turn off it may be him trying to save chris or save himself but the monster is the darkness itself and when chris turn on his light rob body was moving like something gone inside it and the cam power die it may be this monster can dain power this may be why it attack the because our body make power for the brain
or rob was replace there 3 time this can happen in the video it may been a mimic that was taking chris deeper in the backroom without itself even knowing

My guess: around 9:16 we hear sounds of an entity nearby, and Chris looses sight of Rob. Chris apparently makes his way back to Rob by the sound of his voice, but we have no way to confirm if this really is him, or if from this point on we only see the entity impersonating him.
I think some people got tired of the backrooms because too many people went too overboard with the fantasy aspect. The backrooms seems like it's best told in slow paced and methodical stories. If it's supposed to be seemingly infinite but not entirely infinite then it's probably best sticking to exploration and slower paced story telling. I briefly looked at other backrooms content from a variety of people and quickly noticed that they ignored the majority of what the backrooms was supposed to be.
This would be great to see as an actual TV series with a good budget and actors but unfortunately Hollywood would likely ruin it for the all mighty cash grab. They have a habit of ignoring that amazing slow burn story telling and backing themselves into a corner every season with TV series, where they need to think up a bigger, wilder, and crazier finale each season. I suppose there's not enough people that would watch story telling that is a very slow burn drawn over many seasons and years without constant big payoffs. People even complain about filler episodes of TV shows.
It is unfortunate but great content like this will largely remain restricted to people creating it from home and posting it here. Hollywood would always want it to be more about how much profit can be made more so than how good the content can be. A lot of TV shows have very good 1st seasons to attract a following then they often turn it more into a bit of marketing to get the most viewers to watch. Most of my favorite films were low budget films because a lot of them don't shoot for billion dollar profits.
And to think Chris actually got out of the backrooms at one point. He was home free!
Yeah, *Backrooms - Exit* was a satisfying conclusion.
IMHO it would have been better if it was someone else who went back in for Rob and the others who were not found anyway.
Unless A-Sync Research intends to revisit Chris in the future........

Man I sometimes purposely go to the Back Rooms when I go Lucid in a dream lol. Bringing it to a whole new level for me because you could say I “have a small chance to no clip into the Back Rooms whenever I fall asleep”.

What a journey this has been. While I am sad to see this poor lad's story take an unfortunate end it was most certainly a wild one. This is god-tier content that easily is up there with Kane Pixels and you guys honestly have the best take of the backrooms.

No one has "the best," you fool. Some people prefer Kane's version, some people like this better, and some people prefer the comical Backrooms content. No need to down-play anyone else's version, dummy. Each version equally has its worth and value.

@CStone my sister is a social media consultant/ legal team . for a24, ( they just signed a deal with Kane , he will be directing and producing a “back rooms” film this summer when Kane parsons graduate , before the ground work on that starts , there was a memo stating that all channels like this one , or anyone using assets or storylines will have to cease and desist . And once the movie is in pre production ( in about three weeks ) the title “the back rooms “ will be trademarked and copy written as it would be if it was any other movie title , right now it is in a grey area/ public domain , when a24 saw all the popularity parsons braught to the back rooms a24 signed a pretty thorough contract and baught all his RUclips catalog with it , so another words pretty soon channels like this one would be looked at legally the same way someone would if they used a marvel ip / footage and claim it is part of the cinematic universe , they just last week started sending out nda’s , and I’m sure people will not believe me , but just check back on this comment in 6 months , you will see I’m speaking the truth . Which to be honest I’m not to happy with as I enjoy channels like this one and others that expand the lore , I do not think it is a good president and feel it’s kinda a Dick / elitist move .

Re A Sync Research I'd say my faves are Lost, Lost and Found, then No Escape. But the more I watch this one idk that might change. But yeah Lost, when Rob's voice repeats what Chris is yelling, "Rob, can you hear me!?" CHILLS on top of CHILLS.
As for Kane's, it's gotta be Pitfalls, FF#2, then FF#1. The sheer absolutely disjointing environment through the whole thing in Pitfalls, and how terrifying and psychologically disturbing that entity is. Ho-ly sh!t.

This is probably Chris at his dumbest, asking so many stupid questions that Rob couldn't possibly know like "why is there no water in this pool?" and tempting fate by standing right above a drop that he couldn't possibly get out of. I liked Rob and was disappointed when he started letting Chris lead the way. I hope that if a new series is in the works, we get more intelligent protagonists.
I agree, I hate it when these series seem to always have protagonists taken straight out of a teen horror movie. It would be so nice to get intelligent protagonists
About 100% of the human characters in the Backrooms videos act abnormally and low IQ. Nearly NO ONE would first say "Hello?" if suddenly transported into a strange place. The dumb acting/behavior in these videos is what makes them so fun to watch, more than anything else.

It's been a great run with Christopher E., looking forward to the next victim of "The Backrooms". I'd say between you, Kane Pixels and Return to Render you 3 are the best when it comes to the Backrooms saga. You and Kane Pixels for the suspense/horror and Return to Render for the dark comedy/satire of the Backrooms.
If this is the final part, does that mean there won't be anymore videos from you guys?
I knew something was off about Rob since the previous episode! While I take the theory that he was "infected" by an entity into consideration, part of me thinks this Rob was actually 100% an entity who was impersonating him.
In the previous episode, he not only didn't recognize Chris, but he also didn't even act like he was lost at all. In this episode, there were times that he was ignoring Chris and wandering off unannounced, but it also seemed like he was intentionally leading Chris to that empty pool the entire time (in this episode, he kept telling Chris to go in specific directions, like up the ramps and down those dark hallways. In the previous episode, he also kept telling Chris to take certain routes).
Either way, this Rob was definitely NOT the same Rob as in the earlier episodes. I'd wager that the "real" Rob died weeks ago (in cannon).
Also 9:03 in the video -- that infamous camera static which occurs during a temporal shift in the backrooms. Whenever that happens, either the character gets shifted in time, or another entity becomes present...in this case it's the latter happens, as we can hear it roar in the distance...
Also, excellent job with this series! 👏🏼 I hope you continue making more of these videos.

Watched the premier in class lol, the entire video I was very impressed with, the whole video looked real, I loved how the flashlight actually looked real unlike a lot of other backrooms videos, even Rob, who I assume is a cgi character. I was wondering the whole time what the betrayal would be and to see the ending leaves only questions remaining, im guessing that Rob had either lost his sanity or he got infected by something and was turning into an entity, he was acting a bit weird before so it makes sense. It seems like this might be your last Backrooms video, if it is then you ended it off with a bang! I do hope to see more from you of course.

They’re visually stunning, the sound design is great, the concept is excellent. But I wish there were more story, not just an endless rogues gallery of partially obscured monsters that get cut off before they do anything interesting.
There is a larger story that ties in with Kane's series that multiple videos have been made to address. It gets complicated with ideas of time travel and conspiracy and liminality

Not only are the visuals next level, the sound design is amazing and so realistic. Very well done with the type of acoustics found in places like that!
Okay, now I'm actually on Rob's side here. Christopher needed to go. From the moment they found each other, Rob told him _repeatedly_ that he didn't know where they were, and later also _repeatedly_ told him that nobody from A-Sync had ever seen the pool rooms before. BUT Christopher would NOT stop asking him pointless questions that he already knew the answer to. "Is this the right way? What's this? What's that? Are you sure about that direction?". Like dude, he already said he'd never heard of the pool area, how the hell would he know why there wasn't any water in the one pool?!
Nah, being stuck with that would've driven anybody insane, so I can't really blame Rob for doing what he needed to do to keep his own sanity
Loved this series! Most backrooms content is totally played out at this point (levels & wacky SCPs & all that nonsense), but this is one of the handful that is always consistently great. I look forward to these just as much as Kane Pixels & I hope that this is only the end of Chris' tape, not the end of A-Sync Research's exploration of the backrooms. Keep up the good work my dude.

Though going off of the Morse code type message with Rob, They may just end up betraying each other. Honestly a bit nervous to see how it's going to go down.

Turns out I was right... Judging by the ending.
"Chris and Rob were never found." Chris had the chance to finally go free after finding the A-Sync threshold but instead went back in and lost their life. Rob was never going to make it out, just like the other researchers failed.
Anyways, good job completing this! I heard the mention of a new series being made by you, so I can't wait to see that.

The moment when Chris got carried away by this empty and dark room is the turning point. Right after that behaviour of Rob changed since “being together” to “go there alone”.
After that we could see show some moments when Rob is disappear for several seconds and later Chris found him like “where you were?”

The wikidot and fandom backrooms sites have all these very specific (and dumb) backrooms monsters, and almond water and many many different levels. It ruins the entire backrooms concept in my opinion.

Only found this channel yesterday, and I binge watched everything. Feels lucky to have a new video come out today. Nice work as always!
Little bit of a disappointing end to Chris' story. It should have ended when he got out of The Backrooms. Broke my suspension of disbelief when he was allowed to go back in with those other researchers. All for nothing really.
The suspense created by simply calling it betrayal, I was on the edge of my seat for every second!

LOVED this found footage! I was very suspicious of Rob from the start. How he lingered behind, and how he got Chris to be in front. It was like Rob knew the trap at the end, poor Chris will be taken out by the mysterious entity. Also loved the different amazing regions of the Poolrooms!

Just recently, i was in poolrooms in my dream. It was also quite dark in a lot of parts. Actually, about 80% of my dreams include backrooms, either fully about them, or at some point. I've been in so many different levels already.

I knew there was something up with Rob! Chris should’ve realize there was something off with him but being alone is probably just worse. At the end it felt like a Blair Witch moment and man I hope this wasn’t the last. At least there was a closure to this series. Was hoping to be at least one more pool room episode.
This is good, but the cameraman whispering "What the..." has become so incredibly cliched. Also, the title was too much of a giveaway. I spent the whole video wondering when Rob was going to do something bad... and then Rob did something bad.
But it's still intriguing and well done. Keep up the good work.

either rob was possessed by an entity and led him to a place so he can't run or Rob new Christopher was becoming an entity due to bacteria and pushed him in so he could transform in the empty pool, judging how both went missing I think that Christopher was becoming an entity as he wasn't wearing a hazmat suit until he found the ASYNC facility, meaning that he would soon turn into a monster later killing Rob after the camera died. Now this transformed Christopher is to roam the rest of this twisted reality for his old self is now gone. Or this could be the other way round as Rob was acting strange

The video was great. However it was getting old fast. The creator knew it. You really need a creative mind to make these. Wandering around an empty space isn't going to be that entertaining.
An idea... Chris finds out Rob was an entity and avoids death. Chris comes back to the yellow backrooms and then sees an entity walking around slowly. The entity don't see him. Chris makes it to back to the threshold where he meets the ceo of Async. The ceo is shocked his name is Chris, because he has been lost for 20 years . Chris panicks and it is discovered Chris has time traveled. Suddenly an entity comes and the ceo saved him by shutting the threshold door. Ceo is shocked by the entity and ask Chris what does it want. Chris says is a monster and it feeds off of people.
Really appreciate this channel for finally exploring a new level. Hey, if your up for the challenge, I would love to see the Research Group travel to "LEVEL 6"

He did escape. He chose to go back in and die for no reason. He knew there was no way to find and rescue those other suited guys, since the maze can obviously change its own paths. And he knew there were hostile alien monsters in there too. This was a suicide.
That was an abrupt ending.
Looks more like Rob pushed Chris out of the way of something coming. Especially as he just stood there after Chris was in the pool and did not run at all.
No offense, but compared with the ending of the first half with *Backrooms - Exit* this is not as satisfying. Not badly done at all, just my 2 cents on the matter.
Unless, do you intend to revisit Christopher's story again in the future? Just curious........

Who knows maybe he's secretly survived I don't know LOL. whatever the Creator decides to do I hope it ties in with the same story as Christopher as in within the same timeline or at the very least anything connected to that part and continues to make great high quality videos. I like this channel as a compliment to Kane's. I think Kane is unparalleled in world-building and story telling at a macro level, really fleshing out the company of Async and setting the stage to tell a grander vision, but I like this channel for it's work at a more micro level, following one person / team of people on their journey though rooms, and what happens to them. I always like the continuous story stuff. Great work
i wish chris didn't went back into the backrooms like he finally found the threshold and stupidly decided to go back and help the researchers find rob only for the researchers killed by an entity, chris ran off getting lost again, finds rob that is acting weird

Nice closure to the mini story. It's really cool to have this regular guy's point of view.
It is far from closure, and the story will of course continue, resolving some unanswered things in the future.
As much as I love these videos, the behaviour seems so unnatural between these two. Chris always says the same two phrases, "What the...?" and "What is this place?" and the scientist should have more interesting things to say other than, "uhhh I don't know, I've never seen this before." Chris is just a random kid they found in here, he should in no way be making key decisions, so why is the scientist always at the back making sure everything is safe before continuing? This is what breaks the immersion for me.
I’ve already said this multiple times, but I’ll say it again;
As a defense for Rob’s case (the scientist), he might’ve been possessed/ a monster the whole time, and thus obviously not quite as smart and sensible as a regular person, and just didn’t show it until the very end. Might be wrong since I’m not the creator, though.
Great video. I loved your poolroom layout and rooms. And what a good job making you feel anxious every time the camera showed the other guy. With a title like "betrayal", I was tense every time the other dude spoke or showed

Really like the pool rooms, very creative and interesting version of backrooms. Would have been more foreboding if some of the rooms were bigger, darker and had wider and deeper pools. Something about a dark room with deep water scares me like nothing else

I like the version you've created. Watched every one since the beginning. I am just really confused on how you decided to make this the ending to your story. I understand if you wanna leave something to interpretation, but there really isn't much to go on here if this is the final episode.
