Definitely one of the top three most realistic looking animations I've come across of the Backrooms other than Kane. One thing Blender and the Backrooms have in common? They are overwhelming...
I think this guy makes the most photo realistic backrooms videos that exist, and that includes kane pixels. These environments are extremely detailed and complex, to the point the average person wouldn't realize it's cgi if you didn't tell them.
Because I definitely didn’t. I’m sitting here on the comments looking for where this place is at and realize it’s a whole series of lifelike animations!
Yeah its insanely detailed and realistic. But its easier to do that with the effects from the ˋˋfilming´´ and the resolution is also lower. But still very good work
Masterpiece. So many amazing touches. Faking us out by having the subway guy look like an Async researcher from a distance was an incredible touch. And then a second no-clip...
Top tier quality! Almost no one uses Facelings in their Backrooms videos, happy to see you show one. Far as I can tell it’s lore accurate, never actually acting hostile and instead just the camera operator freaking out! Also, absolutely love the look of the infinite strip mall!
Awesome visual (and audio!) quality here, everything looks lush and realistic and there were a couple great shiver moments here. Also, the horror transition to that subway station and the realisation how fast that insane train were moving were great!
I’d say everything up to 7:00 was great for what I like the backrooms to be. Never knowing where your going or where you’ll end up. Location’s constantly preventing you from going backwards. Having the one entity on the train looking like a fellow passenger was a nice touch because it lures you into hope and then dashes it. Falling off the train into another location was good, but I felt like the second entity was too many monsters for me. I like to play with the idea that “am I going crazy, or are these things real. Even if they are real, would I rather die by their hands then wander forever in isolation… maybe just maybe this thing is nice…” or the rare moment you find one other person in the backrooms and you cling to each other for dear life and you continue on your journey practically stuck like glue, only to be forced away from each other with the whaling of grief filling the air because even though the other person isn’t dead, you may never see them in this labyrinth again. You know, really battle of the mind and loneliness/ paranoia shtick. The monsters should almost 80% of the time be your delusions with 20% being actual real threats (i believe). Enough to present a danger and keep you on your toes, but your own fears and paranoia are doing the heavy lifting against you. But I digress.
This is probably one of the best backrooms videos ive ever seen (and i have seen alot) the cross between Kane's universe's monsters with yours was blended beautifully. Keep up the amazing work!
This is so fucking good!!! Holy shit, everything is completely wiki compliant down to the neon lighting colors indicating no entities and the train cars being identical for a few cars then slowly warping and the possibility of a faceling spawning in them! Incredible, fantastic work my friend 👏 and the bathroom scene got me 😂 why do they always go in when it's clearly out of order 💀
Excellent video, it's like high quality nightmare fuel. Could have shown the man in the subway a little longer though. I like the attention to detail, the scuffed up floors, light, subway carts, everything looks very realistic yet also uncanny. How did you model it all so life-like?
this is better than a hollywood movie. incredibly realistic visuals, sounds AND movements. well paced. creepy environment. i'm not big on entities though these two were well done. just emaculate work waw!
I cannot emphasise how INCREDIBLE this Found Footage was. Terrifying and horrifying in everyway. A nightmare come true, while being teased with beautiful sights of that incredible looking mall, while before that, exiting an unknown lift, to enter a terrifyingly dark region and then to enter a long elevator, while welcoming lights signal the direction of the Wanderer. The entrance to the restrooms was very dangerous, and then to escape from an unknown source, to exit and find the whole of the beautiful mall changed to a subway station was incredibly well done! And I believe that is the first time I've seen a Faceling in a Found Footage! That was horrifying! Loved the movement and speed of the train! So realistic! And that ending....WOW! A nightmare for that poor Wanderer! 10/10 for your insanely incredible work!
The person went into the dark room with a sinister tv after staying in a peaceful mall. When the room the person entered was a dark room with a static cursed tv, you know that he shouldn't have entered that room and that something was going to go wrong.
If I could make one suggestion, the camera animation shake generator you're using is a bit too uniform and smooth. I don't know if it's possible with what you're using - maybe use 2 or 3 or 4 iterations of it, for periodic jerkiness, one that handle shorter term animations and one that handles longer term, etc. Great work.
This is the best short horror film I've seen in a long time. Love the way you built the atmosphere of dread, and the transition from the mall to the subway station via the bathroom of doom. I will say though that the creature is almost anticlimactic in a way....the zombie dude in the spacesuit made me jump out of my seat though. I guess I just prefer that image? Reminded me of something, perhaps Kubrick's "Space Odyssey" (the Backrooms in general is a pretty Kubrick type idea! His movies are full of liminal spaces.) Either way, this is an incredible piece. I especially liked the tropical decor and swirly neon lighting in the mall. As a refugee from the '70s and '80s, the design was spot on! I miss those places, actually...they were fun before they became a creepy meme LOL
The camera work (shake) on the subway is outstanding and incredibly realistic! Is that a filter you can apply in Blender or is that motion captured by you? how did you do that? Amazing work.

That was a subway train? It was moving so fast! Not to mention that it was super shaky! Oh, and the first 1:40 gave me the creeps. Awesome vid! Why didn't he just sit down in the train? That's what would do. He screwed up and was got by a bacteria, the least frightening of all the monsters.
