I love this, I love how you listed all of the different levels. At first I had no idea what level he was at like what number level. I obviously know level 0 and 4
But the pool I had no idea. So thank you!😊

One of the things that sets Rusters backrooms videos apart from others, is the excellent foley audio and how it matches the movement in a natural way. The sounds of the character in the pool match especially well. When it's done well, like it is here, you won't even notice.
The funny thing is you wouldn't be able tell difference it was real or not

Dude deserved everything coming to him. He waited 5 seconds at the initial locked door before getting impatient and deciding to go off on his own? Yikes.
I guess there could have been a video cut there to signify that the person waited a couple hours rather than decided "oh well guess I should venture deep into uncharted territory where it's likely entities exist and will go after me

@Felixogic_Rabbit Hey, you found a PC with Internet access within the backrooms ? What level are you currently on ? Hope you're still alive buddy!
The first person to put actual water movement noises into the Backrooms. Everything about this is amazing!
Mattsfilms did on his poolroom videos (best ones)
Also Lost in the Hyperverse!!
matt studios has had in my opinion the best poolroom footages, check him out
same with ‘lost in the hyperverse’ as well, they’re both on another level
*LOST IN THE HYPERVERSE CULT WELCOMES YOU!*
I don’t know why, but this makes me wonder if The Backrooms were designed as Kane’s explanation of a liminal space that Async accidentally accessed where everything that gets “misplaced” or “goes missing” ends up, and the bacteria beings are there to process it all over time. And when another organism enters the system, they are pursued like antibodies attacking an intruder.
Please watch Lost In The Hyperverse if you haven't. His backrooms are so beautiful!
Absolute perfection! I watch tons of backrooms/poolrooms stuff but this has got to be one of my favorites - the atmosphere, the ambient music during the poolrooms part, lack of commentary (cameraman comments always ruin the vibe), water sounds, everything is just *chef's kiss*
Glad you still did this. Even to this day, backrooms are still my favorite things. Your backroom videos are always the best from any others especially the atmoshpere
Ppl call me retard cuz i'm invested on backrooms
Who
Nice backrooms.
Even to this day? The Backrooms aren’t an old concept XD
@@boopdoop2251 eh I mean backrooms aren't that popular anymore nowadays.
4:11 was pretty terrifying, I hope I get some good nightmares tonight :D
You gave it a solid 8 seconds to build on that tension making it more effective than it just jumping at you instantly.
There's that 8 seconds of dread "Is there something there, No that has to be something, those are two eyes right? but is it moving? does it see me? Maybe i will slowly back up and.....OH SHIT ITS COMING!"
All of those thoughts play out in those 8 seconds nicely.
I always find the concept of not being able to backtrack terrifying. It's like going back is comforting, You know what is behind you, especially if the exit is behind you. It's like being on a boat and the rope attached to the dock breaks and you can't swim so you're just at the mercy of where the waves take you.
If I was in the backrooms I would find something to keep all the doors from fully closing out of fear of being cut off from my comfort zone area.
what - the actual - f*** (more or less my IRL reaction)
It's the first time I see what's underneath those clouds. It's really unnerving, you won't expect that from serene and generally safe office level. I really love camera work, it feels as if it was really filmed, there was zero things that broke immersion, everything was really good. Thank you for doing these videos.
And as for the hellfire on the lower grounds of level 4 - would there be any exploratory mission there perhaps? You know, to know more.
I believe they eventually ended up in The Void.
@@BackroomsSlayer isn't backroom's void blue, calm and safe (aside from environmental hazard)? inferno doesn't really belong to the void, at least from what I've read
@toriningen9927 The Void is nothingness forever. The empty black space between levels. Youre thinking of The Blue Channel.
@@BackroomsSlayer I've thought Blue Channel IS the Void. It's outside all levels after all
@toriningen9927 The blue Channel is not the void and never has been. Unlike the void, The Blue Channel can take you to any backrooms level and has an environment you can walk on. The Void has only two known exits, and neither are safe. The Void is completely empty space with nothing in it and the likelihood of escape is near zero.
The Void can take you to Level Origin or exponentially worse, Level [REDACTED]. There is no escape from either level.
The sounddesign is super well-done, it truly matches and emplifys the footage, and all acts in place to the animation, which makes it even more realistic. I really enjoy seeing sound and animation supplying each other as good as you're making it!

Lol😂
That's a backrooms lvl
The entity that's in the room that starts at 3:25 is definitely the scariest backroom creature I've seen so far.
100%
"I've seen"
Dude I didn't see shit but that's the scary thing about it. It's like part of the darkness.
My sole criticism is that the television-head thing, being barely larger than a human (8ft?) and humanoid in physiology is too familiar. It needs to be so biologically distinct that it seems out of place around the humanoid structures and objects. Considering the topology that they need to traverse, two legs don't grant much movement. A more arachnid composition would be more realistic, and absolutely terrifying.
bro imagine you were JUST chased by some indistinct fucking sea creature and suddenly come face to face with a damn TV spider
@@fuery. Yeah, right? If I ever found myself in one of those towerblock 'rooms, I'd just throw myself out a window.
4:01 damn the echoing... Such a genius way to portray the surrealism and loss of all control/reality (darkness in an unfamiliar place really helps it there) like I REALLY started tripping on that part. (Would love an ambience video of just that for at least 3 hours to get away from reality)
Edit: Wellp that was a jumpscare to unpause LMFAO (and tf do i do with this brick i shat after I rolled back and saw the glowing eyes)
Throw the brick of shit at the entity! 🤔🧱💩💥👽🪦
2:45 that is a 16⅔ RPM, 90 minute, 9" diameter 9 kHz "AM" radio quality
transcription or talking book for the blind vinyl record with extremely
narrow grooves, played super slow, & weren’t popular for music as
of Aug 1957 Popular Electronics page 63ff artcle The 4h Speed”
Perhap it was modeled on such a device, but we can be sure it was created in the back rooms to do just the single job of playing that one record to provide that one song for that pool room.
The real question is who started the record player.
These types of games and videos fascinate me. I used to go with my mom to her job on the weekends or late at night sometimes when no one else was there. She worked for a law firm in a big office building and viewing it through my kid eyes, it seemed like this endless maze of corridors, offices and cubicles. Usually the lights were mostly turned off too, so it was even spookier. Even so, I used to explore around the building a little bit and these visuals remind me of that so deeply I can't even describe it.
Damn that's sick you got to experience that hell yeah
growing up is realizing you being there was probably a comfort to her as well
I envy you those corridors.
I'd love backrooms one is safe in. Maybe I'll make some...
This is incredible. Feels very on par with Kane's! The camera movements are genuinely realistic, the entities are kept vague, mysterious and mostly obscured in dark areas, barring the last one that looked like Bacteria with a monitor for a head, but that's fine since the cameraman wanted a better look at the entity before leaping out the window. Better leaping out of where you don't know where you'll land in than be caught by the entity.
I don't think I've been spooked and weirded to a level of "the phone is ringing but once you come closer it's already picked up" for a VERY long time hooooly shit I NEEDED this THAAAAANK YOU
2:00 this reminded me of a dream, it was basically a big mall and its all just white, it was really open and there where big windows and/or square holes with calm music and it was really eerie since most parts where just complete dark like this one 3:22
you are the best backrooms animator i have seen, like, seriously.
you get the atmosphere of the backrooms so correct, instead of making it so there are entities always chasing people. The backrooms should be about the psychological effects it does, not the oogly boogly scary guys always waiting around the corner.
Serious props to you! I love these!
Kane pixels: bruh
@@1poolparty kane makes it more about the monsters and lore, this guy makes it more about the atmosphere of *just* the backrooms
@@yukamoz no it’s not that it’s the part when u said best backrooms animator that caught me

There's literally an entity chasing a person in this very video lmfao
Ruster, Matt Studios and A-Sync Research are top 3 backrooms creators, capturing that OG nightmare feeling
I question how they even 'found' that footage tbh lol
Yeah fr like in kane pixels the camera got sent back to reality and that was how it was found but in this it's just random
Still amazing work tho
people have gone too far with realism
Well at least it’s convincing
Hahah
We haven't GONE far enough!!!!
When will you upload again?
Idk it might be real
7:47: POV: If Entity start chasing you JUST JUMP OFF THE WINDOWS IMMEDIATELY
Bad idea: Is inside a deadly reality you will instant die when you falling into explosions
I normally prefer backrooms content without entities, but this was well done. I love your poolrooms.
Same, it felt right here
Yeah, it was well done. Would've preferred if the water creature just silently swam towards him though. Would've been much more menacing than the screeching.
That ending was wild
Truly horrific, can't really put it into words
This is a really good Backrooms video because of how real and creepy looking it feels to be chased by some kind of unusual entity.
The grocery store Backrooms entity is just as scary, lemme know if you'd like to see it
The section of the abandoned offices with just chairs was somehow the most horrific thing in the video. It's like an incomplete world, where the actual desks/computers simply didn't load in that portion, or despawned somehow. Regardless, you get the feeling that this space is completely hostile to normal life and you absolutely SHOULD NOT BE HERE.
1:00 1st minute impressions: "Already among the best. wtf?"
-The acting is more realistic than most videos out there.
-The movement is realistic as well.
-I wonder why the other guy on the desk didn't freak out about that alarm, or what it was about in the first place. (Maybe he had an important task at hand)
-The visuals are awesome. The water physics is amazing as well.
4:52 Halfway impressions: "This is awesome!"
-The level designs, their structure, and the way they're all connected together seamlessly in this version, is something that many fail to replicate in their versions! (Oh and its awesome in case that wasn't clear)
-That black dog-human with a vague body shape is *actually* scary wtf xD
-The action/danger moments in this video, are much better executed in this video than most others on youtube as well! They're not cut out with a black screen 198273 times a second (like others do).
7:45 Climax impressions: "That... Was... AWESOME FROM START TO FINISH!"
-That last level he jumped into through the window was so bright and.. On fire? I'm not sure, but it looked to me like he jumped into a bunch of trees (at first), and then it turned out to be purple clouds that he passed through to the other side, at which he found himself falling from the high sky, somewhere that is lit on flames! (I think it was crop fields not sure)
-The ONLY mistake that I can easily think of in this vid, is that the camera man stopped for a *long* time at 7:28 and yet the monster/entity STILL didn't catch up to him. Also he wasn't audibly panicking upon contact with the second monster. (so 2 mistakes I guess xD)
-But other than that? This vid alone made me subscribe to this channel, if such quality vids will be uploaded later as well! (Doesn't matter how long they take to upload, quality over quantity)
I appreciate your feedback! Thank you!
@@Ruster3D The ending felt like a first person view of jumping out of the World Trade Towers and into the fiery hell below. The blurred lines of what I assumed were the building and other bodies falling as well gave me this strong impression. That and the fact the video was released right around 9-11. Just a bit creepy on another level. Other then that, the video is well put together.
I like everything about this video. The retro graphics, the entities, the audio. It's perfect!
You don't usually see everyday a backrooms vhs tape that is so good!
Ruster keep up the good work!
When it was launched, seeing the fire outside the building, my brain made an association with the people jumping from the twin towers on 9/11. As if he had been teleported to that instance.
I say this with respect.
@4:01 the best entity encounter I've seen
Holy fuck was that creepy
the pool rooms, those tiles... so hauntingly nostalgic somehow. And grats and thanks for spooking me a bit, thats not easy.
Thanks Ruster. Best quality backrooms videos. Glad you're still doing these
Ah it makes sense, Ruster made the grocery store backrooms video. That's in my top 10 still to this day. I follow so many creators its hard to keep track of who made what
Dude. That window jump sequence was incredible. Love it
Doesn't it remind you of something though?
@@LG633TVCould you elaborate on that?
This is great! Only niggle I have (please just take it as feedback) is that it didn't make sense for him to continue forward after falling through the initial door.
He had a partner watching the screens with him as seen in the beginning. Most logical thing for him to do would have been to wait for him to come and find him.
I love the whole backrooms lore and all the videos people come out with...personally i would hate to be stuck in the backrooms but i still think its cool
4:00 the sonic chaos is just awesome
Poolrooms will never be forgotten.
This is one of the best backroom videos I've seen recently. I felt that I was particularly particular about the sound. it's the best
That ending was crazy.... I was leaning forward in the chair and my heart was racing. Really well done!
Dont stop making these vids. They are amazing to watch and in my opinion these videos are liminal walkthroughs they are fun to watch. Keep it up!
I’ve only seen a few of these ‘back rooms’ videos, but they are so impressively creepy, I had to sub, (I like that scary distortion-thing, that often terrorizes the protagonists, it’s an interesting monster)…
That ending escalated very quickly
This is definitely my favorite video on this channel
8:00 the haz mat suited explorer is seen
Shoutout to whoever did the tilling in the pool rooms. I would hire you in a heartbeat! Those lines are immaculate!
I will be the one to appreciate your comment :333
Awesome backrooms vid as usual, Ruster! Your work is always enjoyable, unique, and a massive inspiration for me.
This is the ghost of “The Falling Man” on 9/11. As he falls from the building he looks up and sees the fire from the plane crash. He is haunted by death chasing him through the building as he endlessly replays the moments before he makes his final decision.
The last part of the video is different then most backroom videos i seen so pretty good and worth the watch :3
i just want to point this out, my guy landed in a ball pit.
hope he had the time of his life, to be honest i would actually enjoy that.
also that entity just wanted a friend with him, he dont bite!
my guy really jumped out the window and somehow isnt bleeding
great animation, by far the best one yet.
I physically shuddered when that creature slid into the water. Eeeeesh. Good stuff
This was just amazing ! Everything is on point : the audio, the lights, the atmosphere...
2:45 survival pro-tip, do not turn off the music.
7:45 Frontrooms ?
Duuuude the sound and camera movements! I loved the echo when he went in the water at that one part and I love that you captured the sway people have when moving in semi deep water. I see a lot of pool rooms where they glide through the water so easy but water has weight and even moving slowly you push hard against it.
Your graphics are extremely well done as well 👏
I love the graphics and where it’s based, what impress me is the architecture and the size of the offices. The second largest office I’ve seen, just smaller than an engineering office complex.
I love backrooms content, glad to see people still making videos likes this, this one is sooo good, keep up the good work man! And the ending was unexpected, he fell into hell or something. I also wonder how did someone found footage 🤔
His camera must have been made of the same material as those ID-cards... Judging by the date of the video and the wall of the burning building he fell from, that was the WTC.
Never stop with the backrooms!
Love the cubicle layout!
Hey! I love your backroom videos... is the ending a nod to the Twin Towers bombing? As if the guy threw himself into the void and fell with those who threw themselves to escape the fire? In any case, that's how I felt and it gave me goosebumps. All my respects from France.
first thought that came into my mind was this, it`s like having the POV of a 9/11 jumper...with the facade of the building being very similar to the one of the WTC
Why is no one talking about the 9/11 reference?
Running TOWARDS an activity alert? Couldn't be me!
This footage is so realistic! I love it so much! Big fan of it
One of the best Backrooms videos I've seen so far
FINALLY YOUR BACK, please upload more
finally... the high-definiton pooltopia! I was dissapointed I didn't get to see it in the initial run, but yes, finally, the opportunity has been realized!
You and Lost In The Hyperverse are my two favorite Backrooms creators. I always enjoy your videos.
Hyperverse should be paid for her or his work. Sooo brilliant and its beautiful!

Glad someone is carrying the back rooms while Kane pixels is (maybe) taking a break
Bro you are awesome in finding these! Please don't stop searching after found footage!!
Way better than Kane pixels or others!
that shit at 4min gave me chills and I need to change my shorts now..thanks for that
Outstanding! Spectacular! Wow! This was a serious MASTERPIECE! From the dramatic intro, to the explorer falling directly into the water, leading to the immediate change of environments brought a sense of dread of how creepy the area looked! From 4:15 the chase leading to the slide and then the landing into the multiple coloured balls within that incredible looking office area, was SO enthralling! The entity was so well created and seriously TERRIFYING! My heart almost stopped when the Explorer jumped out the window. His demise was horrifying but so well done! I don't blame him jumping though. That entity was relentless and was getting closer as the time ticked on. I can't WAIT for more!
honestly this is better than kane pixels, looks so real and everything is just perfect
I never understood why no one even attempts to stand their ground against any of the entities. Sure, they're tall, but they don't look particularly strong. The bacterium creatures don't appear to have any muscle mass at all. Surely an average size human could take one of those things. Hurl an office chair at it, or a dozen. Slam its head in the door. Run to the window, let it gain on you and then push it out. Try something other than simply running to your demise. If death is inevitable, then you may as well go down fighting.
Maybe not man to man but chemically or mechanically you could fight them. I would always carry a torch and you can set batteries wrapped in clothes on fire for delayed incendiaries as well as any computer cord noose traps 🪤 or nets for that water thing.
Late to respond, but it's usually flight or fight. Most people pick flight and I'm sure you would as well. Seeing entities run at you can set you into a panic and make you not think properly. Also, it's the backrooms. Nothing makes sense in the backrooms. An entity can look very small and fragile but could be very strong. The same goes backwards. Can look very strong and burly, but can be very weak and fragile. They also don't have weapons which makes people feel even more powerless.
This is a explanation and my opinion on the matter. No hate at all😅
@@Neuvillette_Monsieur Panicked or not, jumping out a window to a certain death probably isn't on my list of priorities if I'm being chased by a homicidal entity. Why am I the one who should be scared? What about the entity? It doesn't know anything about me, my intentions or my capabilities. Maybe it should be the one running away.
@@VicViper9572 Yes, but it's the backrooms at the end of the day. Like I said, nothing makes sense when it comes to the backrooms lol. The entity might even be afraid. Just attacking you out of self defense
It's not a place governed by our physical rules, I'm not sure you can infer anything about the creatures strength or capabilities based on muscle mass in that context. We do know that everyone who runs into these things dies, that would suggest that trying to fight them is not your best first option, only a a last resort.
Everything except the scenery is the best rl representation of my actual nightmares where I'm running (sometimes hiding) from something usually hard to see all the way but it's loud with no distinguishable noises and is terrifying
Definitely one of most impressive backrooms renders I’ve ever seen. Well done, almost makes me wanna learn how to make these
Jus want to say you have the most realistic movements. Realistic environment and even have a realistic knowing on how a old cámara works with the light and how it takes time for it to adjust keep it up these seem like actual lost real videos! Remember QUALITY is better than Quantity so take your time making these!! I can tell you love making these even if it’s tiresome some times
Thank you, and thanks for acknowledging the process which goes into this. Lots of hard times, bugs, glitches, waiting for renders, the list goes on. I hope it was well worth the wait!
@@Ruster3D sure was and can’t wait for more :)
I keep thinking it's real life instead of computer graphics at the start lol
6:35 Backrooms, level 4. How can you help me out of here today?
No idea how you make this but that's impressive, can't imagine the amount of work, hats off
This video is incredible! The soaces, the atmopshere, just everything. My fabourite part was the large room in the poolrooms. The dim lighting made it feel like a dungeon, a sort of purgatory where you're left with your own thoughts, tortured endlessly by your own memories of your wrongdoings. This really brought back the unsettling feeling of liminality for me, and this inspired me so much that I created a place in Dreams PS4 that looks something like that big dark pool room. I first saw this video on a clip on Instagram a few days ago and I've been trying to find the original video. Now that I've found it here, the rest of the video is just as great as the dark room scene! Even the phone ringing was creepy! Props to you for being so inspirational and skilled!
Do you have the Instagram video? I love seeing others posting my content :)
The squiggle monsters, I have always thought, completely ruin what is otherwise a masterfully unique and truly haunting setting. Look how beautiful these and other works in The Backrooms story are. Look how well crafted his ideas are. Look how much love he puts into making the footage look realistic.
Boom, squiggle monster. What good is an unbeatable enemy? I already have an unbeatable enemy in my life. It’s called death. I’m not here to be reminded of that.
I agree, I don’t think the Backrooms need a monster.
If it helps, death was already beaten on the cross. It’s not something to fear now, Christ is risen and you can have eternal life too. Not to sound cliché, I just would hate for you to feel anxious about it when you could know you’re going to be taken care of instead. Anyway, have a great day.
It would be even more terrifying knowing time in a place like this had no relevance. You're eternally you for ever stuck in an endless madness that only vaguely reminds you of what you could for sure was a reality 4000 years ago. Or was it a dream ?
@@boopdoop2251I think stuff like the pool room entity is alright if done right. The way it watches him and then jumps into the water. I think the screeching is a bit over the top, but if it had just silently swam towards him with unknown intent, it would've been a lot scarier, I think.
Damn, this was really great, the sounds were incredible too! Wow!
