He's close enough to be involved in the Stephen issue cause I'm pretty sure randy offered Stephen's mom free legal representation that she didn't even know why she would need in order to have access to the records as his lawyer to either manipulate them or whatever, and nothing happens to the son without alex involved in this family, so...makes you wonder, I'd say they were damn close and now he's afraid of legal problems in Stephen's case and is trying to distance as much as possible, another fink
I think that until Alex makes a full, honest, detailed confession, no one will stop thinking about this case. It's the only thing left to do for a number of reasons. The most important though is the opportunity Alex has to cleanse his soul, mind and heart from what he has done. That's the only "next step" he NEEDS to take.
@@AnneRose-um1mb As much as he has lied, I think if he ever does come clean, the contrast with ALL of his previous claims, will prove the authenticity of a genuine confession. The judge gave him the opportunity in those minutes surrounding his sentencing. But Alex's arrogance will propel him through the appeals process .
He also stated he loved the people he stole from, the closest people thought he was loving and caring. But his actions and lies hurt the most vulnerable people in that community. So to think he could never murder his loved ones, not surprising to me, because he masked his true self for every one around him to be fooled. His pretend love for everyone involved, was just that, pretend and fake, he only truly cared about himself.
It’s believed Buster had a sexual encounter with Stephen, who was openly gay. I hope the truth comes out about Stephen’s death. His father died 3 months later from a broken heart. 😢😢
Lying apparently runs in the family. Crying sure does. Never were so many Big Blubbering Boys! Why were you at Stephen Smirh's death scene Randy?? You are just trying to Save Your Own A**.
Sylvia Simpson But as you watch the videos, there wasn't real crying on his part, except twice, out of about 25 times that he acted as if he was crying. The physical acting with no tears. All done to gain sympathy.
Come on the only reason Alec decided to come clean about his false alibi was because of his dead sons cell phone video. The only regrets he really has was not grabbing Pawpaw's cell phone when he had the chance. Using addiction as an excuse was pathetic and an insult to our intelligence the amount of milligrams he claimed to have consumed according to an addiction counselor who is also a medical doctor I know what he claimed to have been taken on a daily basis was pure BS. He would be dead and further the money he stole exceeded by far the amount he would have actually spent on his huge habit. He has now hidden millions and at least Buster knows where it's buried. He's in prison conducting business as usual giving orders to everyone over the phone having them all run around selling assets etc like he's getting out next week. Buster wasn't a liability. Poor Paul was, and he knew once Maggie found out how much he stole from his partners one who was his brother she would divorce him and she would take whatever was left after the lawsuits or whatever property that was protected in her name solely. Then he would be left with absolutely nothing. He needed one wing man and he chose Buster. He spared him his life. There's no emotion between the two of them This I love you more from the jail phone and ordering flowers for Maggie and Paul's grave was for the sake of his appeal. Randy hates him and my guess is so doesn't Buster he killed his mother and brother for God sake. It's got nothing to do with addiction, this is about entitlement and the arrogance of a narcissistic greedy monster he fooled no one and he will lose his appeal and continue to get visits from Paul and Maggie late at night while the wheels are turning in his head while trying to fall asleep. He's now a lifer until the day he dies. What A Guy.
A big deal was made by the defense that Alex never went back to Mossel after the murders of Maggie and Paul. Funny how he's asking his son why he doesn't want to hunt on the property where his mom and brother were gunned down.
I read somewhere that Alex searched a restaurant and accepted and read an email from friend while police were at the crime scene. Not to concerned about the deaths at all. Scary.
It is possible to be " destroyed and devastated" and still an evil family killer.Despicable being.Highly disturbed family for generations and the closest member to AM should have known, but they closed their eyes.
Oh c’mon. Alex was involved in drug smuggling for years. The land deals he refers to were remote coastal land parcels that he co-owned with another well know drug smuggler. The land was ideally suited to receiving shipments of drugs from South American traffickers. Alex had also embezzled nearly 10 million dollars through the firm his brother was also a partner at. And Alex and Randy both enjoyed the special “privileges” their fathers judicial power and contacts gave them. I suspect Alex was told by his law partners (and other co-conspirators), that he would have to claim he committed all his financial and drug crimes alone. This has allowed PMPED to present itself as innocent and unaware - which is in fact a laughable claim. I also suspect Alex will be very popular in prison because of his legal skills and judicial contacts. For that reason, I don’t think prisoners will threaten him, but I suspect his family and his co-conspirators would have him dispatched if he doesn’t continue taking all the blame.
I still think his plane has lots of answers, aren't there flight logs? Paul made a supposedly flippant comment to one of the friends involved in the boat wreck that it (the plane) was used for drugs and prostitutes. I bet there's a lot more to the story.
That family's loss of power is the best thing that ever happened to the state of SC. I'm sure a special place in Hell is ready and waiting for this completely corrupted man, as well as, all of his partners in crime who kept the status quo alive.

I think Randy is the one in the family that has an open mind and going where the evidence leads. I only hope that the family can heal now. Alec made a mess and they will be the ones to clean up the mess. Take care. The truth shall set you free.
If I'm not mistaken, Randy is also the one who called Stephen Smith's Dad on the day of Stephen's passing offering to take the case free of charge. As a matter of fact, Stephanie Smith is Stephen's twin sister. She said Randy Murdaugh was the 2nd person to call her Dad after the coroner called. Randy is a personal injury lawyer. I also remember reading that Randy and another Murdaugh brother showed up to the scene where Stephen's car had been found on the night in question. The whole family is sketchy in my opinion. It seems their family name is more important than truths are.😏👌🏿
@@kccain4011yep I also heard on the Murdaugh murders podcast that randy was ripped off by Alex to the tune of 75000. @TIm Smith No that is Paul and I never did understand why he said that because a Guinea hen is a chicken. But did you hear Paul say, "Shut up dad" after Alex says "Bubba"? I wonder if his dad tried to get the bag of pills from him while they were out riding on the ATVs?? But turned him him over after the shooting to get them out of his back pocket? If alex had destroyed both phones he would have been better off even though Paul's video would be in the cloud.
This guy helped Alex cover up the Steve murder for Buster. In essence he helped Alex in the subsequent crimes. Alexs main motive for the killings was to not have anyone on the outside taking his money, (maggie) or costing him money (paul) ...while he served his slap on the hand sentence for the white collar crimes. He knew he could control Buster bc of the leverage he has on him. (Thx to this brother Randy). It NEVER occurred to Alex that anyone would dare question his story. He & his whole family are in complete shock & now under the microscope.
AL-AL (Alex) isn't going to jail, he's gone to pris-pris (prison) & a different Bubba than the sweet one he knew who caught chickens is gonna show him what REAL tears are about.
just as buster sat on the stand and under oath said that paul was not driving the boat, brothers lie for each other, EVEN if they dont like each other.
Something that struck me was, the kid that was killed and left in the middle of the road was said to have had an affair with “Buster”. Early on in the trial it was said Randy was also called “Buster”. Alex’s son “Buster” seemed very convincing he didn’t have any attraction to the kid. No one ever said or asked about Alex’s brother Randy the other “Buster”. The kid that was killed and left in the middle of the road was said to have been a male escort. The kid’s murder was/is unsolved.
As he begs his friends and family to put more money on other peoples canteen, because “he will pay it back”, will get old real quick. People won’t have time to entertain phone calls from prison. There will come a time, in jail, when silly people who where never in his tax bracket, will get sick of his lies, too. And FINALLY, Alex might catch a clue. It really doesn’t matter, though. If we have to place faith in HIM to be honest…WE are the ones that are screwed.
Randy looked very unconvinced by Alex on the stand, didn't see him after that. Himself and Marian were truly shocked by Alex's behaviour after the murders. If anything Randy is being generous saying he might not have pulled the trigger, pretty sure he thinks he did. Basically it appears Alex is capable of anything and that is a shock to many who spent their lives around him with no idea. I would imagine they know he would have just as easily killed them if he thought it better to do so.
What GOOD??? Why would killing them be better to do So?? Nobody kills loved ones over their spendytoo much or loss of buisiness!!! If anything, You'd JUST Kill yourself!!! That's stupid to try Saying that would be reason to kill them!! And, I'm pretty SURE, Wife and, all Family already knew about drug use, and messed up buisiness affairs!!!!
I've been trying to make Alex's story fit another shooter and I'm convinced that guy had to be Jason Bourne. Stealth onto property, gain access to Paul's guns without anyone seeing, silence the guns, suprise Paul no defensive wounds, suprise Maggie no defensive wounds, wash off, telepathically convince Alex to lie for no reason about being at the scene, take the only phone Alex could open, look at the phone right before Alex calls it, take the same route out as Alex and chuck the phone on it, do all this on foot, get GSR on the inside of the blue coat, stow it in Almeda, make all of Alex's clothes he was wearing that day disappear, make the guns disappear. This person also is an internet troll who has alot of hate and "has thought about this for a long time."
wait, you need to add the part about cleaning the scene and leaving zero trace of blood anywhere after shooting 2 people at close range, driving the golf cart 1/4 mile back to the house, no blood on it either, disposing of the guns, changing clothes and maybe a shower, all in 17 minute maximum before leaving in the suburban that had no blood in it.
I still can’t agree that he was actually taking this much drugs and functioning. He is and has been deeply involved with some level of drug trade, I believe. Airstrip and airplane, remote farm…property on the coastline???
If your wife and son had their heads blown out, you think you be saying things like “we need to find these killers.” Never happened with Alex. That’s very telling. His brothers know damn well he lied his whole life and committed the murders. Their whole family was based on shame and privilege.
Find the smoking guns and you will have your answer. This investigation was botched from the start if they wanted to prove Alex did it. They should have worked 24-7 tracing steps of Buster and Alex until they they covered every step they made while holding the two of them. If they know where both of them were and the steps they took, they would have found the weapons the first day.
But they didn’t do any of this bc you heard LE say it was a hit on the family as a payback for the boating accident. They didn’t cuff him or anything. They believed the bs that he told them right away even though it made no sense.
Randy has room to talk...trying to sidle up to Stephen Smith's family to run interference for your clan is highly unethical ...if not illegal(if you tried to bury evidence.)

Why did Maggie say to a friend after talking to Alex @something’s fishy” Where are Alex’s clothes he had on just prior to the murder? I agree and that would be telling the truth.

He deserves, DESERVES what he got. No one has the right to take another's life.
These two brothers should be crying tears of shame, over the complete mess and mockery Alex has made of their family.
The loss of their sister in law and nephew. He is their brother and l would dare say they know or at least suspect a lot more than they are telling also.
Randy is the lawyer of the two, well said.

@EK. L absolutely!!! Families like this tend to have alot of cash on hand, which I do think they have ALOT on hand.
I still can't believe how he even thought about doing this to his family..
I think his drug addiction must have had a lot to do with his actions.
@@slaws2279 I think his drug "addiction" was grossly exaggerated by his lawyers. $50,000 a week of opioids for 20 years is beyond belief.

Exactly, $50,000,a week, Means, cocaine or meth, definitely not pills!!! He Would Have overdosed on That AMOUNT!!!!
Great point!
Yup they are all snakes
I totally agree!
Spot on Bobby-boy
Absolutely
Good for Randy speaking out. This is such a tragic story.
And who would believe him?.??
@@AnneRose-um1mb As much as he has lied, I think if he ever does come clean, the contrast with ALL of his previous claims, will prove the authenticity of a genuine confession. The judge gave him the opportunity in those minutes surrounding his sentencing. But Alex's arrogance will propel him through the appeals process .
He'll write a book titled, 'If I Did It'.
He never will! he.doesnt have a honest bone or muscle in his body!
I'm glad this corrupt dynasty is at its end but there are many others who weren't related but helped that corruption to breed.
Randy doesn’t want to be paired with Alex…he still practices law there !
ALL of them should be investigated
He also stated he loved the people he stole from, the closest people thought he was loving and caring. But his actions and lies hurt the most vulnerable people in that community. So to think he could never murder his loved ones, not surprising to me, because he masked his true self for every one around him to be fooled. His pretend love for everyone involved, was just that, pretend and fake, he only truly cared about himself.
Agree 100%

He says, “He’s still not sure who pulled the trigger?” Give me a break!
Does he mean he thinks Alex is responsible for the murders but thinks Alex had someone else pull the triggers?
@@AnneRose-um1mb Sounds like he's suggesting someone else is responsible for the murders and Alex knows more than what he's sharing.
Seems a blessing in disguise that Alec's parents left this earth before knowing that their son had slaughtered Paul & Maggie.

@@emiliadavis8247 They are a weird family.
You bet he is
Come on the only reason Alec decided to come clean about his false alibi was because of his dead sons cell phone video. What A Guy.
Alex tried to convince Buster to go hunting on the Mossel property from a jail phone call. BUSTER said NOOOOO IM NOT GOING THERE.
He did? Wow there is no bounds to his psychopathy.
yes. then pushed him by saying " dont you want to shoot deer"
Scary.
Uh… that was presented in the trial.

That isn’t strange what’s strange and revealing about randy is that he filed a motion with the court that for his civil suit that he sound get priority on having his money returned. He basically wanted to be prioritized of the other victims. That seem to be that family’s mentality. Murdaugh comes first.
@@kccain4011 certainly looks that way though I want to think well of John. But for Randy to approach the Smith family and offer his services seems really odd.

John Marvin is clearly codependent with Alex. John Marvin always cleaned up Alex and Paul’s mess.
Alex was never going to kill himself.
When Alex called cousin Eddie perhaps asking to meet for drugs or he told Eddie that he was depressed, thinking about killing himself.
But Alex was going to kill cousin Eddie and make it look like cousin Eddie had not only killed Maggie and Paul but then tried to kill Alex.
Then Alex would shoot Eddie, killing him so he couldn't talk.
But Alex's plan didn't go as planned.
When Alex acted like he was going to shoot himself, they wrestled with the gun, Alex was grazed instead of Eddie left dead.
Eddie left probably not realizing what almost happened.
Alex had to think of a new excuse to explain a GSW to his head to doctors and police. Alex was never going to kill himself.

DENIAL DOESN'T CHANGE THE TRUTH.
just as buster sat on the stand and under oath said that paul was not driving the boat, brothers lie for each other, EVEN if they dont like each other.
I’m sure Alex was really upset and distraught over the death of his son and wife. He wished he didn’t have to take it that far to get his needs met!
This whole family knows alot more than they're saying
His turn is coming! 😊
Actually this didn't take place in the Charleston area, but closer to Walterboro.
Public relations for a damaged Murdaugh family
I like your synopsis 👍

yep Randy and John Marvin guilty AF!
wait, you need to add the part about cleaning the scene and leaving zero trace of blood anywhere after shooting 2 people at close range, driving the golf cart 1/4 mile back to the house, no blood on it either, disposing of the guns, changing clothes and maybe a shower, all in 17 minute maximum before leaving in the suburban that had no blood in it.
I still can’t agree that he was actually taking this much drugs and functioning. He is and has been deeply involved with some level of drug trade, I believe. Airstrip and airplane, remote farm…property on the coastline???
Yes. And the wife knew nothing? The adult children, the brothers???
Bull crap
If your wife and son had their heads blown out, you think you be saying things like “we need to find these killers.” Never happened with Alex. That’s very telling. His brothers know damn well he lied his whole life and committed the murders. Their whole family was based on shame and privilege.
I didn't know Hampton was near Charleston.
When I here about that race of people killing their family I don't pay no tention been going on for hundreds of years

He has his reputation as a lawyer to salvage.
And he didn't take fifteen or twenty pills a day and spent $50,000 a week on pills he wouldn't been dead a long time ago
