he's not bored...its just that when you're playing to your own song and on camera its kind of difficult to decide how you want to "appear" while you're playing. Do you want to look enthusiastic and dance around to your own song or do you want to look a little serious and not as expressive while you're playing. And also they're trying to play it perfectly for this playthrough so that's probably his "focus face."
+Justin Hodge I really think you're underestimating just how wacky and ADD Adam typically is. Being this restrained and calm was probably torture for him :)
I got they impression that he could play the song effortlessly, saying that they try to writing style is more original than it is difficult.
I've watched this about 10 - 15 times and I'm still amazed by joels technique. he plays so effortless and flawless.

I met them after a show in Chile and for my surprise I found a really nice guys, humbles, warm and friendly with the crowd. Seriously, we need more guys like them.
By the way, Adam D was wearing sandals that day too.

This is one of my favorite songs of theirs - like it’s not super crazy throughout, but still heavy. The main riff is also one of my faves.
Adam is always a funny and chill guy. Never serious, but yet very talented.
Its nice, you know, to see Adam sit normally and play guitar the way its meant to be played.
So glad he got around to making this song that was stuck in his head. It ended up being my favorite song of all time!

Not having listened this for years and now coming back, I realize how good this song really is. The 2 guitars and all the dynamics work so well together. Honestly this Metalcore Genre has some severe artistic limitations, this is why a band like Killswitch could never become as bis as lets say Metallica. But KSE get out everything they can out of what Metalcore brings to the table

Yes. That’s what I am doing. And it is great fun. You need to practice hard though. I know some flashy lead players who couldn’t get this down tightly.

I could remember learning this and tried playing it the way Adam plays it but it was to weird. I went with the Joel approach, felt more natural to me. such a good track. fun to play along with. great stuff.
Saw these guys last night. They fucking owned it even with Jesse being sick and all. These guys have a great tone. One of the best. And they just write the best songs. KsE fucking rocks! No one can touch em.

Here’s the thing with KsE for me, before I knew of HOJO I only knew a KsE band with Jesse Leach as the singer and when he left the band it was devastating but then I heard HOJO.... I can’t go back to listening to KsE with Jesse as the frontman now, Howard was just that damn good.

This whole song is a shred fest. But as a drummer, that riff at 2:22 by Adam is incredible. So cool.

No offence, I love Jesse Leaches vocals but personally I think when you do these videos showing off the guitar work, that you should have the vocals cut out, maybe have an alternate version with just the guitar work? Just a thought.
