      Don't listen to these people who are clearly paid/get commission from Big Pharma to push Finasteride.
      Finasteride has permanent side effects for many people that are irreversible. Their studies don't mean shit because they were mainly funded By Big Pharma and many scientists and regulatory members of FDA were bought off. Their positive results were highly false-positively inflated. Way more people have reported worsening of hairloss and side effects on Finasteride than they advertise.

    I started losing hair around 21, and starting taking finasteride at around 22. I noticed reduction of hair loss after a month or two, and even some mild regrowth. At some point, I came off of it for about 6 months and I noticed a lot of shedding during that time. I came back on it and the improvements also returned. No side effects whatsoever. I'm willing to stay on it for life if it means I can even maintain the amount of hair I have right now.

    This is a message to everyone who is considering taking finasteride, but is afraid of the side effects:
    People drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes and take drugs but in the end the reason for their side effects is finasteride of course.
    (don't get me wrong, I am not innocent)
    Our mind is our strongest muscle in the body: If you think you can achieve something in life, you will get it (Law of Attraction), if you think you will get sick, you will get sick. If you think you are using a medication that helps you with your pain, you will feel relief (placebo)
    Just talk to your doctor, try finasteride out and see what happens.
    People here in the comments often talk about their horror experiences, but you never know what their motivation was for writing them (Game-Theory). The reason for their decrease in sex drive could have been anything, maybe they just aged and coincidentally at the same point in time they tried finasteride. Come on. In the US approx. every second person plays lotto at least once in a year and hopes to win the jackpot, with a probability of 1: >100.000.000 but they are all scared to take finasteride because they are scared to be 1 of the 100.

I have an Instagram page manely_yours47 as well as a website www.manely-yours.ca. There I have a Ayurvedic Stimulating Hair Growth Oil as well as a Herbal Hair Tea. Keep in mind every individual has different experiences. What may work for you may not work for me and vice versa. Disclaimer: I am not promising hair growth however my products may promote it. On my page you will see before and after pics. You can be the judge as to whether you want to give the products a try. My opinion it wouldn't hurt.

Is this true, according to your findings? @Dre niii so far I am still taking it everyday but I slowly just worked up to one milligram a day I figured if anything happens I reduce from there and so on. Everyone's different, and quite honestly I loathe trying to cut those pills up and they never cut evenly. As far as results and side effects I am having no known side effects to my knowledge. To be quite honest with you I've Had My Moments of paranoia and reading forums but quite honestly I feel great I work out hard everyday I have days where I'm tired like anybody else but I've noticed a more aggressive libido I swear penis gets harder but who knows I do think that I am having a positive experience thus far and I'm getting the benefits of the added testosterone, maybe? I feel great/normal. I haven't noticed any differences in my hair yet and I'm not really sure how to decipher this whole shedding process I mean I obviously see hares a Fall out like anybody else does but I can't tell if it's more or less... but I do feel like my hairline looks a lot thinner and I can see more scalp through my hair in the front and temples...maybe that is a sign that I am shedding and it's working I've heard many other instances that some people's hair will look thinner for a while because of the shedding but I am just staying strapped in being patient and hoping for the best and trying to stay away from forums as I already know what most of them are going to say about horror stories and quite honestly I don't know who's truly right and wrong with all of these people and who's getting money from this person and who's getting money from that person I don't know and I don't care I know I just don't want to go bald so I'm trying this but so far my experience is good and nothing wrong has gone on.

  • @joshuastam7704
    @joshuastam7704 3 года назад +3

    I see a problem with this. When you block 5AR you will rise E2. As you rise E2 (that is why patients can develop gyno) you will lower LH output as E2 is the main signaling factor on the negative feedback loop to the HPTA. So, this means less T. There are several reports and studies of men becoming either Hypogonadal or having a sustained decreased in serum testosterone after 2 years of Finasteride use. So no, blocking DHT does not increase Test. It might immediately but not in the mid term or long term as it will increase E2.

    • @rajatthakur3058
      @rajatthakur3058 2 года назад

      I had a similar hypothesis. The blockage of dht causes the usual T increment to saturate to a threshold and then the E occurs to double levels to compensate it cause too much Test can cause aggressiveness etc. But the additional E produced to compensate higher T levels cause the female effects .Gradually when the T are not converted to DHT due to daily intake they accumulate and hence counter compensating E is produced at higher levels which showcase the female symptoms . So , microdosing ( depending upon hair loss ) and or reducing frequency in a week from daily to alternatively will atleast allow the T to convert to DHT for only for eg 2 days in a week or so and that is enough to bring the T progression and compensating E production to stable states .

      @@rajatthakur3058 The problem with your theory is that your are not accounting for metabolites which half-life is much longer than the drug itself. • @rajatthakur3058
      @rajatthakur3058 2 года назад

      @@joshuastam7704 considering the half life part as well. The more frequent the drug intake will be chances of half life sustainence of the drug inside body is higher and frequent thus leading to blocking of dht often. The lesser and alternatively the medicine is taken , the half life value / no. Is the same for instance , 24 hours from 1 mg , the next day when u'll not take it , dht production will kick in again , so in a week , u r allowing ur body to produce dht atleast 2 wice a week compared to halting it completely from daily dosage. The build up of alternate dosage is going to be fairly slower . Now whether u may take complete dosage or microdosages , u'll have to stop or put the medicin intake into sleep by mode after a period of let's say 4-5 months ..the flush out period Def gonna be 1.5 months compared to 3 months if one takes finasteride daily . I did it last year. Took for 4 months with Prp, shut it down for 8 months ..no side effects during the intakes as well , nocebo was trying to catch hold of me but it vanished the moment I figured out the calculation. Simultaneously, I took ashwagandha alternatively .. no effect on my libido as well. Plus , the side effects were from 1 mg or 5 mg daily when prescribed for prostrate issues. My microdosing is 0.5 mg 3rice a week only .

      If beards depend on the DHT levels then you pretty much should know the answer. The enzyme that is getting reduced 2/3 (not DHT) just keeps the DHT levels stable (Not over-producing the enzyme that causes the DHT levels to rise, causing baldness) If the DHT levels are stable then this shouldn't affect the beard at all as your DHT level is not too low. (Even though it does decrease slightly)

    5:32 You still make a bad "correction" because you do not intervene at the real problem, aka DHT affecting the hair follicle. So, you do not affect hair loss only but any other things that requires DHT.
    I am a programmer. As an analogy, it is like you want to resolve a bug but resolving it you make another bug because you did a change that affects another parts of the program too.
    Moreover, an increase of T even with 10% only will increase estrogen because more T will be converted to estrogen. That +10% in T is not used well. You need a blocker for aromatase now to block T be converted in estrogen, otherwise you may get some tits.

I'm still using minoxidil, but it's losing its efficacy sans finasteride. I hear constantly that any hair gained with minoxidil will be lost once minox is stopped, but if the follicle is still working, is it possible for it to return via finasteride (after initial fallout)? My entire hairline is intact, but there is thinning in the midfrontal region, that has only thinned out in the past 18 months. Is there a high chance of success for regrowth in this area of the scalp? Thanks and Best Regards! - Joey

    I can only speak for myself. I a few years back tried, and my breast tissue started to get hard and achy, and I had an elevated heart rate (although I attribute that to the minoxidil). I stopped taking both, all side effects went away, and I won't take either of them again. That's just my story, it is what it is, I have no medical qualifications.

    Hi, dr
    I've watched most of your videos relevant to me; however, I just have one or two questions that haven't been covered by your videos.
    if you get time, can you guys address the following questions:
    1) I'm an athlete, and I'm wondering what/if finasteride would have any affect on muscle hypertrophy?
    2) what purpose does dht have on the body that might be affected by reducing its production? I know it's a more potent androgen, as mentioned in one of your videos.
    as you can see, my concerns are based on it affecting my athletic performance.
    many thanks

    • @Phukyoududehonestly
      @Phukyoududehonestly 3 года назад

      Dht plays a very small role in muscle growth. If your testosterone is good them your muscle growth will be unaffected by dht reduction.

      If you take a DHT inhibitor and you develop side effects, does that mean your body was using DHT as a compensation for low testosterone? Something to consider.

    Dr. The sooner you treat baldness, the better? I'm 17 years old and I started taking finasteride for baldness, my hair wasn't falling out exaggeratedly but the entries in the front were big and I had some fine hairs, I started taking finasteride 1 month ago but it started to fall out a lot, but I saw on the internet that it's normal in the first 3 months there is a "shedding" in the first few months is this really normal?? I'll keep taking it forever at least I won't go bald skksks if I manage to at least keep what I have until one day I get an implant in the entrances, I'll be happy, it really sucks, I'm in my last year of school sometimes I'm ashamed to go, I don't even go to recess with low self-esteem, I go to the bike service, I keep turning my neck so I don't hit the wind and mess up my hair... but I'm very persistent, I've been on Minoxidil for 1 year, even not giving me results, people saying this and that, I won't give up, now I started with finasteride and everything is going to be ok the last thing that dies is hope, Faith... Dr thanks for the motivating videos, may God continue to bless you always and your family.
