Key to Effective Hair Loss Treatment: Finasteride.
How long does the shedding last? And did you look worse before it got better?
Truffle infused rosemary oil served on whole wheat crackers is actually more effective in lots of studies. I like to fill my bathtub with 32 gallons of a rosemary broth and soak once a week. hope this helps!
Exactly! The truffles are key
true
@@UserrHD you joking right?
Consistency and commitment is key. I’ve been on finasteride 1mg daily for over 7 years, I think I’ve forgotten to take it twice that whole time. Minoxidil foam for 3 years and never missed a day. I’m still seeing gains at the front.
any side effects from the finastride so far?
What made you wait 4 years to take minoxidil?
@@dhairyadave1806 - None.
@@rayrunner6731 - Partly because I wanted to see what I could achieve on finasteride alone, partly because I thought applying Minoxidil daily would be more onerous than it is. I apply it once a day in the evening and it doesn’t take much time at all.
When does finasteride start showing results?
Salute to Dr Russell Knudson n Dr Vikram doing a Great Job I have been following them for the Last 4 years
Nice to hear 85% of patients will stabilize. I am MtoF transgender and have been on HRT twenty months. I am sure that has helped me stabilize. I also started derma rolling about a year ago and have continued my Minoxidil which I have used for years. In the past, the minoxidil never stabilized my hair loss, but it has slowed it.
With all that said, I am opting for a hair transplant. If I did not care about femininizing my hair line, I may have not opted for it.
I am glad I stabilized my hair loss and I am likely to continue with minoxidil to avoided losing any of my untransplanted hair. It has helped limit the number of grafts I need and I believe will help insure the success of my transplant.
In my opinion, the key to effective hair loss treatment is trust and respect between doctor and patient. Treatment is a two way street.
Thanks Docs for such great videos.
brilliant guys - thanks yous both
I wish my dermatologist were half as expert as these guys.
Thank you, Doctors, for this video!
I am experiencing hair loss myself, about NW3.
Would you say the best action plan would be to start with Minoxidil for 6 months before introducing a second treatment to the mix?
So i can gauge if Minoxidil is working for me or not.
Thanks again!!
Hello docs i have been using tropical minoxidil and finasteride 5% for a year. I am a diffused thinner and i have seen good growth but these days i loose 100 to 200 hairs a day if i run fingers through my hair. The question is, is this shedding or normal or the medication is not working?
tysm
Great video guys! I wanted to ask wether it's true that Minoxidil is better absorped when applied right after micro-needeling or should you apply minoxidil and micro needle on different days?
Thanks in advance!
Should never apply Min after Dermarolling.
Does anyone knows good doctor for hair lost treatment in Southern California?
I love your content!.I am 32 and have close to a norwood 3. My question is does hair loss stabilize? I want a hair transplant but kinda don't wanna take finasteride due to the fear mongering stuff. I would be willing to do minoxidil and maybe,..... just maybe topical fin
Hi, does one need to stabilize their hair loss before proceeding with a transplant? Or at least know that their pattern balding stopped?
Had some good gains with my treatment in the last 6 months recently started a gym program and have noticed a 2nd shedd happening also does eating Grapefruit inhibits the effect of Finasteride ?
I am 17 years old and I am experiencing severe hair loss. My hair line is receding and crown is also thinning. What should I do now?
i do 2mg fin daily and it's been working fantastically
no min?
no sides? and how does it effect you in the gym and building muscles?
How can fin make it worse? Thought it was either supposed to stop or improve, if hair sheds more with it and doesn't stop them the drug is actually harming the hair correct? And when is shedding a concern with the medication?
If that's the case, finasteride isnt enough. You will need dutasteride. Fin isn't going to make it worse it just won't work well enough.
@@FatTofu-pu2li I'm talking about no shedding until starting fin, which is my case.
What is exosome inj make video on exosome inj
I been on 1mg daily Finestride for 2 years now, not exactly working tbh...
Switch to dutasteride and add minoxidil
Hair loss is so depressing started falling out in march after covid 19 . Minoxidil takes time .
Been taking minoxidil 5% for last 1yr, it showed some good results but after 5months there was a rapid shedding of hair, then Ive been on finateride 1mg everyday for the last 6months, but again after 5months the rapid shedding has started. It's strange how once the shedding is done I don't go though any for the next 5 months. What's going on? It's so confusing. Are the protocols working or not doc?
Plz answer this question doctor...
rosemary and pepermint oil 2x week and pray to god
😂
Hi Dr Vikram and Dr Russell, I mistakenly left my plastic container of compounded finasteride right in front of a fan heater for around 15 minutes, to the point where the container and the supplements got quite warm/hot (enough to warm my hands considerably but not burn them). When I realized, I immediately put them in the cool drawer that I usually put them in. Will the effectiveness of the finasteride be in anyway degraded with this type of exposure to heat for this duration? I've been taking the finasteride for eight days since this happened. Would you recommend throwing the finasteride out and getting a new batch? I want the full effectiveness possible and don't want any reduced potency.
Naah! Don't worry about that unless the plastic container melted.
@@MohitSharma-lx3jd Do you mean that there is absolutely no effect on the finasteride's effect unless it melts?
@@No_co_OK Yes, meds will have no effect with that little exposure to heat. However, for your peace of mind, you may consider getting a new batch since you're starting it new and might experience nocebo effects.
@@MohitSharma-lx3jd Wait, I just realized I misread your comment. By saying the "meds will have no effect", do you mean that the finasteride I had made will not work now because of its exposure to heat? Also, I have been taking the finasteride 1mg per day for around 18 months now.
I started using minoxodil and finasteride tropical solution on January 17...
And as usual there was hair shedding that lasted for like 2 months
And then
Hair shedding almost stopped and I had pretty good hair ...
But since May, I am again seeing hair shedding and I am worried that those medicines are working or not?
Is it normal to shed after 4-5 months of medication?
Should I be continuing that medication?
Should I be worrying less?
Should I be patient?
Please reply...
Yes keep going!
@@Offsetwala is second shed normal?
@@savyayadav4617 yes absolutely normal
@@Offsetwala how long is it supposed to last until it's a concern??
what does the solution look like? Is there an reside on the bottom? Can you see any crystals? How are you storing it?
