Thanks for your show, your episodes are always very informative.
For what it’s worth I’m a stylist and salon owner and know a great deal about the subject of hair.

If I understood this correctly, you're saying that minoxidil essentially prevents hair loss to a certain extent by improving the hair growth phase, leaving the hair follicle in a better state. Does this mean taking minoxidil rather than nothing at all would help retain hair in the long run, even if you were to stop using minoxidil down the line?
The reason I ask is because people view minoxidil as something very temporary, meaning when stopping the use of minoxidil you would very rapidly lose hair, until you reach the stage of hair loss where you would be if minoxidil treatment was never started in the first place. I believe quite a lot of people share that view, but I have been skeptic of it myself and it would be great to have some clarification regarding this topic.

I find this strange logic too. Surely if you stop minox, it will just resume shedding soon because your mechanism to stop it isn't there now. But why would it make previously "shielded" hairs suddenly go?

Well the answer is these are medicines you’ll simply have to take for the rest of your life, or until you don’t care about losing your hair

Minox is like bodybuilding, you get stronger roots after months or years of treatment and if you stop minox, you slowly get back to orginal but not completly, you keep some of the gains, especially if roots were weak .

It will be great if you provided an update on hair cloning and when it may be available to the public. If you could share any valid info on this subject that will be great

I remember my scalp itching and burning before my thinning began. I’m pretty sure it’s related to stomach because I have GERD (acid reflux) I’m 26 , both parents still have hair but thin somewhat. Taking Fin 1 month in

Can someone please answer my question?
I used Minoxidil for three months, then I was on my annual period and I stopped taking it. A month later, I started using it again and my hair thinned even more and I got side effects, so I stopped taking it completely.
My question is what will happen after I stop taking it the second time?

Will inconsistent use of minoxidil make miniaturization of the hair follicle worse?
For example, 3 times weekly or consistent use daily, break of 1 month, restarted with reduced frequency.

That's the worst way to take minoxidil lol. You have to use minoxidil literally everyday or it's a bust

@@relativegifrelativegif8369 for me minoxidil shedding happened in the first month and it was pretty bad.. but then grew in way stronger. You just have to stick to it and trust the process.
