The Westgate Halloween themed suite was the greatest thing ever, - I got the room for 2 nights for my friend’s birthday and she loved it soooo much. I had my average boring room separate from her all dark, horror themed “maze like” wild room that we invited a friend and watched horror movies with pizza and drank rum drinks surrounded by nightmarish fun! It’s way better than the hotel’s pictures show. I felt like we were the Munsters or Addams family, living in a dark fantasy room. I can’t stress how good it is! Totally worth less than $400 a night!!! (On weeknights)

I went to the chicken ranch several years ago. They have a bar that is next to the brothel and its open to the public. . I have quite a few pictures of the bar, the outside, (which is decorated) and one of the working girls. Sat and talked with her for awhile because there were no customers. While we were there several times we heard a bell ring. That meant there was a customer and the ladies that were working had to go to the main lobby in the brothel to see if anyone was interested in them. The lady I talked with was from Arizona and she said when she gets off of the plane they pick her up and they go straight to the doc and get tested for any STD's or AIDS. They have to wait on the brothel premises for about 2 days until the test results are in and then they can work for only 2 weeks then they have to leave for a certain amount of time. I have a " menu" of the services offered too. The ladies decide what they want to do ( perform) and how much the charge and the house gets a percentage. I called my boyfriend at the time and told him " I went to a brothel" He thought I actually WENT to the brothel as a customer.

Then there will be the impact of the "bullet train" when it arrives to Las Vegas...one has to assume that will have a major impact on the transportation infrastructure. As I type this it's dawning on me that introducing the bullet train to our urban environment might be best done by the Boring Company and an underground application. I realize this may sound a tad too "Popular Mechanics Futuristic", but you know, it's Vegas and we're supposed to be high stepping.

I actually do think gondolas are a good answer for some of the pedestrian movement issues around the strip. By gondolas, I am talking about something similar to Disney Skyliner or Wynn Cotai SkyCab. Disney built Skyliner because it was so much cheaper than expanding the monorail. You could build them straight down the middle of the strip and convert existing pedestrian bridges into stations. Or you could build them along the existing monorail route and potentially use the existing monorail stations. You could connect Allegiant Stadium to the strip. It would make sense for connecting Rio to Caesars and might be cheaper than the walkway Rio wants to build.

My thoughts on roadways/transportation/mass transit is that while these things are first and foremost in other cities and states planning, Las Vegas treats them as afterthoughts and always addresses them after it's far too late, if at all.
And while I'm on this topic, I notice that when there are lane closures, they do not space the cones out nearly long or far enough to allow traffic to merge from the closed lane into the open lane. No other state that I've been to does this. Also, they sometimes close these lanes (quickly) on a turn or bend in the road, causing some driver to panic to get over, or slam on their brakes because they can't merge fast enough. I've seen a few accidents and countless near-misses. It doesn't have to be like that. The guys setting the cones for the lane closures suck, and it strikes me as odd that no one seems to talk about this.
