I used to go to Vegas in the early 70's when the mob ran a lot of the casinos. If someone had jumped on a table and started throwing chips he would have been grabbed and gone in seconds and no one would have ever heard from him again. They didn't have bums, drugs addicts and hookers working the streets either. You never had to worry about crime.
And no resort fees or parking fees 😂
Only crime was all the drug dealers and prostitutes were controlled by the mafia ,no crime my ass
Just stayed at the Cosmopolitan in mid June. The new parking fee of $18 /day on top of a $50+ resort fee is ridiculous. The staff at the check in desks and cleaning service were very nice, but it felt like the Hotel was trying to milk us for everything. We are definitely looking at off-strip alternatives for next year. Love the channel you guys!
Such a joke. Surprise.. the revenue will reflect. How long can they hide their greed driven mistakes?
That's insane. Stupid levels of GREED.
Check out the South Point hotel and Casino. I only hear positive thing about them!
Save a bunch of money to use for fun and have clean and safe place to crash…. Sounds good to me 👍
South Point is THE best.
I think Vegas has turned into a place people go to for bachelor/bachelorette parties, conventions (so the employer pays), birthday parties and for rich people who have money to burn for concerts and sporting events. That is the crowd that the casinos want. They do not want the budget crowd or people who used to go 2/3 times a year and use coupons or care how much the resort fee is.
If you’re broke go to circus circus
The Uncomons is in a bad location, dumb ordering system, expensive, and the food selection was not good. Their only customers were Draft Kings employees. I walked through Resorts World last week and only 2 places were open at the Famous Foods hall so I wonder what's going on there. I also went to Slots o Fun and had a $2 hot dog and beer. Every single quarter slot was being used and that lovely cling cling cling sound brought back memories of old Vegas.
$2 hot dog and beer is always tough to beat!
Never been to Uncommon, but if they opened with 15 booths, it seems it would be impossible for all of them to make money. Only a certain number of people will come and at some point there's not enough business to go around.
lol Caesar’s is ridiculous and it’s why I’m shorting the stock and going lonnnng Wynn
I operated hotels for many years. I can't recall EVER charging for sheets. Many stained with makeup, lipstick, etc....I do not think CZR would get away with that in any other place in America. People will remember when things slow down....and they will. Arrogance is a deadly sin.
The casino hotels charge for them because they can unfortunately. For all the people that complain about high prices, the casinos are making record profits. Vegas doesn't want the 'average gambler'. They want those with lots of descretionary income. Short sighted strategy imho. You really want both types of gamblers.
Visitors to Vegas are loaded with money and can afford it. The casinos are doing as they should to maximize profits. They would not be able to do it in Atlantic City because it is full of bitter, broke NJ, NY and PA people
I'm already over Vegas. I'm in CA and was a twice a year-er, but post Covid Vegas is all about greed. And I think the claims that numbers are way up is a scam that will be revealed soon enough.
They're charging a $250 cleaning fee, so they should charge no more than $100-$150 to replace everything else.
The host should be able to fix that, but evidently not.
I would simply fight them through my bank & never go back, once I was done with the host.
They would not get a penny from me.
Like you said, the best way would have been to leave a $50 or $100 tip with the maid.
That would have been the end of it.
Thanks for reporting Caesars on this one!
There is a more profitable way, if anyone likes to fight:
You pay the full amount, then sue them in small claims court for MORE.
Caesars cannot bring a lawyer & there is no disclosure process in small claims court, so they are at your mercy.
You will get paid for your expenses to return to Vegas, so an extra free vacation.
Once you win & have your judgement paid, then seek publicity & offer to sign an NDA for a fee.
And greed. This greed and arrogance will certainly come back to bite in the ass
On the flip side, when the resorts damage your property due to negligence, they try to pay as least as possible and make you spend a lot of time to get compensated.
10 years ago, I stayed at the Aria for 3 nights and on checkout day, I noticed a brown stain on the shoulders of all my shirts that I hung in their closet.
I called the front desk of this incident and they sent a housekeeping manager along with security up to my room and they found that the closet was stained prior to my stay and was still very wet after 3 night on my checkout day.
I got a business card and instructions on how to get reimbursed for my favorite designer shirts.
Upon returning home and filing a claim (using the sale prices that I paid for the Dolce Gabbanna, Armani, and Burberry shirts cuz I’m honest), Aria was in denial of the incident.
I had to jump through hoops to get compensated and had to send them my irreplaceable favorite shirts paying myself for the shipping fees.
After this incident, I no longer stay at the Aria!!
They could have offered a free stay to make it right, but only paid the minimum and costed me time and money.
Yeah a free stay costs them almost nothing too in the grand scheme of things. Businesses can be awful short sighted at times. Especially since they went up and agreed it was their fault.
Rio should either create a separate area for a basic breakfast buffet or renovate Hash House to a setup like Grand Lux Cafe has at the Venetian, where you can purchase a buffet meal or order off the menu. The buffet has all the basic breakfast foods.
I never use the moving walkways in Las Vegas, even at the airport, because I’m too impatient. 😅 Many times people don’t leave a passing lane to the left, so annoying. I do feel bad for people with disabilities, who deserve assistance in getting around in these large properties.
Las Vegas has definitely gotten more expensive, but I think that your discussion of that survey is a bit misleading. Las Vegas is not one of the more expensive cities to vacation in: in fact, it’s still cheap compared to other major cities in the U.S. Admittedly, I don’t rent a car, go to nightclubs, rarely drink and avoid at pricier restaurants, which keeps my costs down.
I haven’t stayed at a Caesars property in over ten years, and stories like today’s are a big reason why. I can tell you that I usually leave a $5 tip daily for housekeeping in my basic rooms, but last year my brother spilled a soda on his bedsheets. I left a note apologizing and requested those sheets be changed, and left a $20 top. We got new sheets and a very happy housekeeper. 😁
The cost is crazy expensive in Las Vegas. They punish tourists. My friends and I played golf at Las Vegas National...normal rate is $69....for us is $169....each. WTF. All the golf courses in the area do the same. My friends and I agreed that we will find a new city to meet at. Never going back to Las Vegas.
I dont stay on the strip, dont visit the strip, its too expensive. I have money to spend, but my business is going to Reno now.
Reno is so uncool that its mere uncoolness keeps the troublemakers away.
OMG moving walkways are essential during summer heat.
Not anymore. Most casinos on the Strip build air-conditioned shops right up to the sidewalk (eg Caesars Palace Forum Shops), making moving walkways rather unnecessary.
@@djm5687 perhaps.
How many heat stroke deaths occur on the Strip each year?
Regarding customer loyalty and what it will get you... I once worked for a properly management company doing maintenance at an apartment complex. I had the pleasure of knowing a lady who had been the original resident and had lived in her apartment for 35 years. But it gets better. Before that, she had lived in a mobile home park that existed on the same land before it got torn down to make way for the apartment complex. So 50 years of rent. She was a widow and a very nice lady. Well she eventually moved out to go into long term care. The office workers charged her 100 dollars on her move out inspection form to fill nail holes where her curtain rods had been. My view of humanity changed that day. When she told me. ( I went into that office ready to make a scene far worse than the guy throwing casino chips and did get rid of those charges for her. )So anyways... companies taking advantage of their literal best customers is a well known thing to me in my life experience as incredible as it seems.
Sad for sure
Caesars entertainment lost its loyal customers when they closed the diamond lounge. That was a very bad move from the new corporation that took over! They just didn’t understand that to be in business you need to keep your loyal customers happy! All those loyal Caesars entertainment customers went to MGM. Vegas is too expensive. People rather just go to Mexico or Florida which is much cheaper and you would definitely have a better time!
The people who admitted to their mess at Ceasars should go up the their réservation desk and yell "Go MGM"!!!
Naw...MGM is just as bad now. In some cases, probably worse. Perhaps they should yell "Go Stations!"
Station Casinos seem to be the only ones still happy to show appreciation to their customers and aren't gouging them for every last penny.
Great show guys. If you bring back that chart of costs, I thought it was interesting to see that every single destination had a slash in airfare pricing by 5% or more. This points to a trend of reduced demand to all destinations across the board.
Definitely interesting. I’ve noticed the low cost carriers seem to be increasing prices but nice to see the overall trend is down.
This was our last trip to vegas (just landed back in detroit yesterday). Group of us had been going once a year for the last 15 years and expensive is fine, but vegas is downright disrespectful. I used to get comp'd hotels/meals/shows as a broke college kid and now even though my buddy is a diamond member all he gets is a comp'd room. I'm sure i'll be back one more time when my kids turn 21, hopefully by then a miracle happens and they decide to bring back more themed hotels and lower the prices back down
Have you considered playing & staying off strip? Many casinos give comped food to patrons who don't stay at the hotel.
@@djm5687 Yea, this time we were waivering between fremont street and an offstrip casino, but because it was our last trip we decided to bite the bullet and stay downtown. We've seen/done everything, the long flight/time change sucks, everything has gotten insanely expensive, 25$ tables almost everywhere on the strip (and they only have 1-2 per game so they are usually packed) and now that we are all married/about to turn 40 we don't have the same energy to fist pump at the clubs til 4am. We are going to try a cruise next year and see how it goes. We stayed at a different hotel each year and i gotta say, i think this year (horseshoe) was the best which was surprising because we never even considered it when it was ballys. The rooms were pretty average, we didn't eat/gamble much there and we knew the pool was bad so we went to flamingo, but everything else was better. We never waited for elevators, getting from the rooms to the strip was fast, you can go out to the right door cross the street and get to the linq promenade, left to paris (without having to go outside), and out front has a bunch of quick food options and the big red bar. It's center strip and the CVS is right next door. Carpet-not as good as motorcity.
Thank coporate greed.
@Bubbs88 Corporations, especially casinos are *_businesses,_* not charities. How are they not supposed to be "greedy"? There are still many good values in Las Vegas, but you need to go off strip (eg South Point, Ellis Island, Four Queens, Downtown Grand, Plaza).
@@djm5687 I've lived here 33 years and work on the strip, they are all greedy AF now.
I live right by that food hall, and I never wanted to go because all of the options were way overpriced. That's also the reason I don't want to go to Durango either. All the restaurants are super overpriced. I'm not paying $30 for a burrito.
I've been to Las Vegas dozens of times. Every time I have been there the escalators on the strip are out of order. Oddly, they were all in working order during F1. My first trip to the strip was in 2010. Stayed at Mirage. Resort fee was $12 and parking was free. I still felt ripped off.
The guy on the table...what casino was that in? What happened to him? Where was security? I saw a similar situation years ago at Harrah's on the strip. As soon as the guy messed with the chips, the walls opened and 2 beefy guys came out, grabbed the guy and they all disappeared thru the walls. Took 30 seconds. Left us wondering if we actually saw it.
This was Silver legacy in Reno. I was at another casino in Reno last summer. Someone chucked a half full beer bottle from the blackjack area all the way into the craps tub. Whizzed right by my ear and splashed all over the dealer. Security never came down. It's going back to the wild West saloons out here.
@@ali-reza-yeee-ha
Damn! What ever happened to peoples behavior? It is out of hand!@@ali-reza-yeee-ha
If the guy seemed to be a person of color, the casino might find it cheaper to let him act out than to take any action.
Just found your channel. Lived in Henderson from 2003-2008. I love hearing local news to Vegas. I dealt craps at Paris/Bally's and Barbary Coast.
You can still get killer deals on hotel rooms mid-week downtown. I'm staying 5 days at the four queens for my birthday in a couple weeks. Total cost for 5 nights was around $160. I love the vibe downtown I guess it's not for everybody.
Have a great birthday trip!
wow where at that's pretty good price i'm staying at NYNY 4 nights comped. But the resort fee will be $190 love fremont too have a great b-day.
The old Lotus of Siam was really cool. It was in a somewhat shady location. But, it was huge in terms of square footage, and distance between tables! It was great food and service for a reasonable price. They made the correct decision going back to the old location. Plus, rent is cheap in that plaza.
The Vegas businesses just don't think in terms of repeat customers, anymore.
This is actually in line with other "destinations".
16:40 Caesars Palace now wants $40 in a 6/5 VP machine for a comp drink.
We only found out as we were waiting for our table at Amalfi and played VP in the bar next door. My wife put $100 in and I put $20 in. I played at a good clip $1.25 per spin for at least 15 minutes on that same $20 but when I went to leave the bartender said I owed for my drink.
The bartender then told me it was $40 in and I explained how much I played and he "did me a favor" and comped the BEER.
My wife put $100 in, ordered a $25 drink off a drink menu and cashed out at $90 so she played LESS than me but had the $40 in I guess.
IMO don't give a person a drink until they earn it and if you raise the coin in let people know in advance
Later that evening we played at a different bar at Caesars Palace and the bartender told us when we sat down it was $40 for a drink
I’d just stop going. Go to Laughlin or Reno or even Biloxi lol
Some of those bartenders at the Sports Book can be jerks.
I haven't been there in years.
My motto...
If a bartender is having a bad day (or career) there are many, many other bars.
A platinum level member of MGMRewards recently reported that at Mandalay Bay, she was charged for a top shelf liquor in her drink. Apparently, only well liquors are comped now if you're gambling. Even at the Platinum level. Oh and get this. She said her husband ordered a Fiji water and a discussion took place among the bartenders as to whether they were required to charge for it versus the standard MGM branded water.
I don't know what knuckleheads in suits are running things over at MGM these days, but payback is going to be a bitch. I can almost guarantee a major blow-back heading their way, and sooner rather than later.
Our sheets at Paris 2 weeks ago had holes! Those fees are despicable!
Yeah their sheets aren’t the best!
Our sheets at Horseshoe 2 weeks ago had holes too!
Gave my Caesars host some recommendations before I stopped going. Put slide up curtains on the windows like old Times Square peep shows where people could get a view for say 1 minute for 1 dollar. Put a parking toll gate similar to the ones that gives you a ticket when you arrive but program them for a random amount of money lost say 750.00. Pay at window and enjoy other parts of Vegas instead of wasting time gambling to lose the 750.00. Setup up cardboard cutouts of famous people that you can take a picture with like a meet and greet charge 25.00 for the experience of meeting the cutout. Ran out of time but this could go on forever.
Cesars has made big mistake. How many players visit every month & gamble enough to have a host ? Why comp them everything & then send a bill because a little wine was spilled ? Not only send a bill - the charges were outrageous.
Management could have easily said thx. for letting us know …. No worries….. enjoy your stay.
I'm going to tell on myself, how I got my Rockstar wings by destroying a Vegas hotel room!
I spent 3 nights at EDC, staying the whole night, until the sun came up, each night! On my 4th night I planned on catching up on some sleep, but I got food poisoning and spent that whole night barfing into a Seoul Bird bucket. I got maybe 1/2 hour of sleep. Sometime early in the morning, I started to feel better, but I was a mess, so I decided to get in the bathtub. I hopped in and the warm water almost immediately put me to sleep! Well, if you know about the Vdara bathtubs, the faucet can get pushed into the
✌️no man's land✌️ behind the tub. The back of the tub is basically a double tunnel shoot, flowing directly to the bathroom floor at each end!
Sometime later I'm awakened by security and engineers banging on my hotel door and the in-room phone ringing. I look over at the faucet and it's flowing on the edge of the tub(1/2 in 1/2 out) and I immediately think "Oh Fuck!" To shorten the story, I had to write a report about what happened and they ended up charging me $1,800 for room destruction. {Flooded bathroom and bedroom} (About $260 more than Cheapsers charged for sheets)
Thank you to our co-hosts for this important segment. Somehow, I missed your vlog last week
Thanks for watching Fred!
Re: travel locations with the largest cost increases- how about Hawaii? The prices there are crazy vs pre pandemic, especially Maui.
Thise homes going in at Red rock will be high end, $1million plus, unattainable for those locals....unattainable for only the select few
Exactly, this will do NOTHING to help with housing shortages in LV. Not sure why Mark would think that new development would help at all with the problem. I'd say probably over 50% of the new homes will just be second or third homes for people and won't actually be lived in.
@@TheHawk686 Or large corporations will just buy them…
Definitely in high demand.
@@MH_6160 Yup exactly a posh neighborhood for the super rich and corporations doesn't do anything to help with the housing shortage in the valley.

❤ Always great information on SIn City and not just the Strip.
Thank you!
Mark's take on the Red Rock development. is sad.
.
He is almost right. We do need more housing. But we need AFFORDABLE HOUSING not Redrock mansions going for 5 million apeice.
One thing about that cost survey is the gambling revenue not being part of it. The reason Vegas was cheap was because the gambling money it brought in so Vegas was cheap to go stay and eat. Now Vegas is getting all that revenue from gambling which is record amounts every month but still feel the need to gouge you on rooms food and drinks and transportation. I have cut my trips way down and so have many people I know. We still go but not as much.
We stayed at Mandalay Bay last week and walked to Excalibur a few times. They had one moving walkway intact, but the one next to it was blocked off with a temporary wall. The one into the dirty castle was working most of the time.
On a side note, we only got housekeeping every other day, even though housekeeping was right by our door. I saw a comment from someone that Luxor only did every other day. I wonder if MGM changed this and didn’t announce it.
paid parking didn't help uncommon food hall at all
The Allegiant stadium started a new thing, Cabanas for parking lots! 🤣Now they need to install daybeds instead of regular stadium seating. If Caesars was going to charge me that much for the linen then they'd better mail them to me so I could wash them and use them myself, lol.
$20K cabanas! 😂
I recently moved from San Diego to Las Vegas and I will tell you car rental costs are way more expensive here than anywhere else. Here in Vegas they will charge you not only a state tax but also a county tax and a 10% government tax. Insurance on a car rental is insane! For just liability it's $5 more a day than California. If you're not a spouse or domestic partner, they charge $15/day. Now if you have an American Express credit card, certain cards offer platinum car insurance for $24.99. That's not per day but your entire rental. Up to 42 days. That covers the rental only. Not liability. If you're flying in and renting at an airport I suggest renting at a local branch. It'll be cheaper overall.
If you think Vegas taxes on car rental are scary don’t go to Dallas!
Yeah it’s nuts. I use my Sapphire Reserve card which covers primary liability for the car. Still crazy prices though. Only hope is to find a good corporate code.
I compared prices through Delta and direct with car companies for rental just a week ago, and Delta prices were half what the companies wanted direct. Kinda wild!
@@Milestomemories Yup! I priced out a rental for upcoming trip in Oct. Without corporate discount code the rental fee was just over $800 for a 6 day rental. Once I added the CD number, that rate was reduced to $290! Same car, same number of days. Crazy huh?
Ooooh, always hate it when the moving walkways at Excalibur and Luxor don't work. Now those trams will probably get overworked and be less reliable. I always liked the easy way to travel between those southern 3 MGM properties but now that will factor into what hotel I choose on my trips. And yes, Vegas is so expensive now that my 4 to 5 trips per year have dwindled down to 2 or 3. Might end up being an annual trip.
For some reason I always find myself doing the walk instead of the trams. At least when heading South. My last couple of times those walkways were shut off anyway.
Great episode as always. Just saw the PINK PIZZA in a film from 1982 starring Lawrence Monoson called "The Last American Virgin".
Broken walkway has been a trademark of mgm for twenty years. It is a sign of poor management. Can’t make budget? Cut maintenance. Then the profit comes back a little and greedy investors expect it to keep going so cut a little more. The American way.
Surprised that Food Haul by Durango failed . Thought it had good potential. But , Mark you’re right if there was a flaw in the system it’s one and done . #wulffdendad
You guys are the best.
Thank you! 😊
Caesars Palace should be ashamed for charging $1500 for those cheap straight from the factory sheets.
The problem with Hyatt Globalist is the Guest of Hyatt program. Globalists can gift Globalist for one-time stays through GOH program. It is super easy to get a GOH certificate as Globalists have an incentive to share them. So Rio maybe expected like 5-10 Globalists MAX per day initially but it’s turning into 50-100 daily Globalists due to the GOH.
This content is fire!
Here I am adding onto my previous comments: The Caesars $5 price for a wash cloth or $12.80 for a towel seems in line based on better quality items at say a Target and go to Marriott's website and look at their sheet sets in the $300 price range (17:58/22:09) but this is all well-used materials so to charge new prices seems excessive. My question would be, based on condition, how long before they changed all this out with new materials anyway?? The deep cleaning fee at $250 is also over the top. At $50/hour as a wage/fringe/overhead rate, I'd say at best 2 hours ($100) and at most $25 for materials so this looks like a 100% markup at the $250 number. BUT I didn't see the room per your comment as well. If the room was trashed then the deep cleaning fee might be reasonable. ALSO, as you two note, a 12-times a year customer with a host for 40 years that gets treated this way - not a sound move in the long run. Plus a 40-year guest(s) starting even at 21 years old is now 61 years old or older so how much are they tearing up anyway??
Thanks fellas!
Thanks for watching!
As with many comps, the hotel is exaggerating how much they are NOT charging the guest. Plus a bigger tax write off.
Haha always!
The "wine spill" at Caesar's must have been more than you'd expect. The sheets, bed skirt, mattress, towels, etc. They must have poured at least a full bottle all over the full room.
Yo, come to the NYC subways, none of the escalators, moving walkways work for more than a few days. The elevators never work, The useless repairmen, are hardly working and most often not there
The craps table incident happened at Silver Legacy in Reno.
I had 3 free nights at Rio last week. I went to Hash House right when they opened on a Wednesday and there was no line. For Saturday though I went around 9am, yikes quite the line. I gave up and walked to Denny's across the street.
Life is more beautiful now for the downtown residents that had to deal with the crowds and noise of LIB in the past.
True. This definitely contains it. I didn’t recognize any of the headliners though.
Shame on Caesar's for 1) Charging the customer for the damaged linens 2) Charging highly inflated prices for the sheets.
There's no way that those items cost Caesar's that much. They buy in bulk and get huge discounts. Besides, shouldn't Caesar's insurance cover something like this?
Anyway, the customer should have told Caesar's that they spilled the wine when they spotted bedbugs in their bed.
Now that Caesar's has done this, all of the casino-resorts will try to do it. Word to Circus Circus: Don't try to do the same. No one would believe your sheets are worth more than $25!

For those of you interested in buying in Vegas. I have a friend who lives in a nice apartment northwest of Vegas near the hills and it's safe and quiet during the day... unfortunately at night people race cars with very loud exhaust sounds and blast music till 3am. The sound echos and you can be blocks away and still hear it. Unless you get soundproof windows just know you may have to get used to loud sounds late at night. She's as far as one can get from the Strip without being up in the mountains. So it's not that she's close to anything
Stopped going to Vegas around 10 yrs ago. I am not a big gambler. For 20+ years I flew out there on average 2x a year. It used to be a inexpensive getaway with pretty much guaranteed great weather. but then the fees started, and the freebies dried up. There is the resort fee, CNF fee, mandatory tips on top of the fees, live entertainment fee. Then charging for parking. I always had a budget for each trip, In the beginning the fees cut into the gambling and eating out budget, then there was no gambling budget, On top of it all the strip turned into a version of Times Square NYC, it became sketchy at best. It is not even a reflection of what it once was. I swear i remember helicopters landing where the Monte Carlo was built, but that was a long time ago and my memory sucks.
I just did the KISS mini golf at the RIO. Really cool
It’s a lot of fun. Glad they have stuck around through the transition.
Over at the Green Valley, their escalators that go to the movie theater have been down for months. I overheard a worker say they'll be replacing them at a cost of a few $100k's. Station Casino gives out six figure jackpots regularly and you'd think they would've been fixed by now.
Yeah it’s nuts how long those have been down. Especially with all of the other work they did. And that’s a pretty steep climb as well. Hope the new ones arrive soon. They don’t have much choice but to replace those. It’s also their main entrance from the District.
Those beer buckets at Ceasars pools is nuts
The land wasn’t zoned for the type of master planned community they want to build there. It was purchased with the assume that paying politicians could change that.
It is such a disappointment that the guys running this channel gave that surface level shameful take on this issue.
OMG, I agree with Mark about something! The Red Rock housing project should have built a decade ago.
Cash paying customers are a lot more valuable then coupon cutting and cashing point cheapies.
That’s a fact.
To me, all the food depicted from that Lotus of Siam restaurant doesn’t look good. I wasn’t impressed.
It's incredibly good at the old location(s). Red Rock is mid.
The fact the linen persons host said it was fine if I was that person I would be calling that host and making them sort it out cause thats ridiculous
11:29 I don’t think they’re saying Las Vegas is the most expensive place to visit. Their headline is misleading. What they are showing is that the costs are increasing the fastest in those cities. Does anyone really believe that touristically-challenged cities like Knoxville and Cincinnati are more expensive to visit than Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Seattle, Miami, DC, Honolulu, etc.? I went to Los Angeles last month and had to cough up some serious Bonvoy points for a stay at the Renaissance near LAX, but I’m heading to Salt Lake over the 4th of July weekend and got a great deal on both airfare and my hotel (staying at one of the Hyatts downtown).
Moving walkways are an outstanding idea, especially for Vegas and its larger properties. But, just like the escalators for the crosswalks, they’re largely exposed to Vegas weather; especially sun and sand. The ones in the airport probably don’t need as much maintenance since they’re enclosed. Of course, the walkways only made it easier for you to go into the resort. Not out of.
They are a big investment and one this generation of bosses doesn’t seem to be willing to pay for.
Moving walkways are unnecessary because casinos are built with shops right up to the sidewalk (eg Caesars Palace). A moving sidewalk _would actually cost the casino revenue_ because people would bypass the shops on their way to the casino.

Hey, lets build houses on the Red Rock scenic drive loop! We can have 12 miles of luxury tract homes and solve the "housing crisis" once and for all. Lol
I wouldn't be surprised the county sold out eventually and did that! truly shameful!
Years ago my husband and I stayed at Caesar’s and I threw up on the carpet/sheets. We cleaned it up the best we could and were never charged a penny for the cleaning fee. We did not mention any of this to Ceasar’s
They are likely used to that every day in Vegas :)
They probably never changed the sheets and left it for the next guest to sleep on.
You are a party animal !! Your husband helped you clean it up-what a team player. You owe him big time. He played maid.
Fingers crossed that the walkways are just getting replaced with new (faster) ones!
That would be unexpected!
It is crazy the Rio hasn’t opened some type of lounge with a breakfast buffet that they could send Globalist to. Their VIP check in area would be an easy spot for a lounge that could be a buffet in the morning.
Another thing to note is they are playing with the Globalist breakfast hours now too.
Yeah they went to 10am and now back to 11am? I have a room there this week but not 100% sure I’ll make it out there for breakfast.
20k? Im sorry but this country is simply obnoxious.
Moving sidewalk removal- don’t be naive.. this is because of the COST OF ELECTRICITY. Vegas is hurting for $$$ just look around .
The Caesars room cleaning issue: demand to see reciepts for items purchased and then demand to actually see them
Really sad about the Life is Beautiful festival not happening. I just moved downtown and really was looking forward to it and I’m sure a lot of the businesses on Fremont East were too. L
1. The craps guy. Looks like an older downtown casino because of the low ceilings.
2. The guy at Caesars should have contacted Chris Angel to make the stain disappear.
The guy on the craps table is channeling 'Casino'
Rates have gone up the most in Vegas because people have an insatiable need to go there. Until the visitation numbers start going down, rates will keep going up.
Corca is a unabashed, unashamed,. sausage party! But, that's what makes it unique and successful. ❤
Why don’t they build up the areas on both sites of Las Vegas Blvd from Mandalay Bay to Primm.
Because the housing development at the center of recent litigation is about a luxury development now affordable housing for the people that keep Vegas businesses running. Part of luxury housing means having nice views and access to nature even if they destroy it in the process.
I don't recognise that moving walkway from Excalibur to Luxor. If you go from the food court the passageways are all wide with moving walkways on one side and regular the other. I cannot remember anywhere with just the moving walkway like the picture.
They have a construction wall up blocking one of the walkways as they work on it so it makes the corridor look narrower.
@@Milestomemories OK, makes sense. Thanks
Soon... Vegas will be avoided by tourists.
They probably charge the local a different rate, and they stayed only on
weekdays to avoid the crowds. We, for
one are outrage with
their- Resort Fee &
Now, parking fee too! There is an article that people don't go to Disney
World , for 2 nights
stay + foods, costs
$800+. Huh??
Always thought both Vegas and FL over-rated to me.
It's just a matter of time before the overcharging catches up to them. People are coming in droves because they have never experienced this expensive of a market before and have no idea what they're in for. Most will think long and hard before returning.
Something doesn't add up on that wine spilled on the sheet. If she spilled a little wine on the sheet and carpet, why are they charging for the entire sheet set? Did she throw wine all over the room? Did she stand above someone and pour the wine out onto them and the bed? It sounds like the hotel thought it was intentional.
I highly doubt that. Visitor numbers and revenue is still on a trend of *_increasing._* I don't see that stopping anytime soon. Las Vegas us still a good value compared to other vacation destinations (eg Disney World, Los Angeles, Europe).
@@djm5687 Disney is in trouble because they've priced their customers out too. Not enough rides, too many guests, too much money. I'm not blaming anybody for wanting to catch every dime available, but there's a reckoning coming. They'll blame it on the economy when in fact, they shot themselves in the foot.
LOL He kept his clothes on, could you imagine the damage if he pulled down his pants and started inserting chips?
I thought I watched this before. Like deja vu. The monolith was in another report. The price increases.
Yeah we discussed when they found it and now that they took it down.
Went to Vegas once not as bad as I heard it was not as great as I thought it would be extra fees and expense food keeps me from going back.
20K for tailgaiting...are they INSANE!??
Sadly, someone will pay it haha
Add to the closed walkways, now closed are the trams between Excel and Mbay at 12AM on weekends! WTF is that?
They probably think that’s too late. 😂
Terrible to hear about the Red Rock housing situation, we actually don't need more housing because that is only going to cause housing to continue going up, and therefore pricing all of the middle class folks out of here. Red Rock is one of the most beautiful natural surroundings LV has to offer, and now they are taking that away.
100% agree with you. What is at stake here is a lot more than "NIMBY"ism. The Red Rock Overlay district is meant to "minimize the visual impact, maintain the rural character, preserve the wildlife habitat and minimize additional traffic in the region of the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area." What is happening now will set a precedent allowing more luxury housing developments to encourage on the remaining protected land until the Vegas Valley sprawl destroys what actually makes Red Rock so special in the first place (geology, plants, animals, archaeology and so on).
I think it's time to stop calling everything a food hall, put some effort in your business and do something original.
Certainly this will make food halls outside of casinos a more risky proposition.
I've love food halls! I went to a awesome food hall last week.
I hear that. Original
Agree...some food halls are fine but they are getting overdone when they are really just small foof courts (Rio!).
I think it’s time to stop charging $18 for a cheeseburger 12$ beer 8$ water etc.
anyone who went to LV prior to 2019 is extremely and rightly resentful.
We NEED an entire epsidoe devoted to Big Elvis!!!!
I need to make it my mission. 😂
I have a hard time believing that Vegas it's supposedly one of the most expensive cities as long as you can still get $9 a night rooms at Harrah's with diamond status.
Years later, Asbestos Dust, after a building gets demolished, is still a modern-day threat. Luckly in Las Vegas since we don't talk about it, it clearly is not a problem
😬
Weenies & Bikinis...🙄 Yes, Mark, Joey Chestnut is a free agent. Nathan's dumped him because of a branding deal he signed with another company. Shame on Caesar's! How can they not have worked out a deal for their loyal customer. I hope he switches to another casino.
It doesn’t surprise me at all that Las Vegas is the most expensive place to visit in the U.S.! It’s really high! Way too expensive! Why I won’t go. No way.
The charge to replace the hotel items should be the DEPRECIATED cost, not the cost for a new one.
It’s pathetic how major league teams just screw the fans.
