Episode Description
Las Vegas is known for its dining and drinking, but Plaza is hoping to bundle it all together with their new all-inclusive package. You'll get bottomless drinks, waived resort fees, meals and bingo, but is this a good deal. Plaza also announced weekly fireworks this Summer making Downtown Las Vegas the place to be.

Noy sure. It seems like th all incusive could work out. For a 1 day stay I dont think it is worth it. Check In at 3pm- check out at 11am. Can you drink and eat all that in 20 hours? Maybe.
They are really shrinking the check in check out times…
I remember most places used to be 12-2 check in and 11-12 check out…
It's undoubtedly an amazing deal with great value.
I just find it dishonest it's being characterized as "all-inclusive" is all. If you're going to call it "all-inclusive", then the Oscars meals should be complimentary too. Just jack up the base package price another hundred to two hundred or so to cover Oscars, and then it would be an authentic all-inclusive deal. Otherwise, call it something else similar to Circa's "All-In Summer Deal" or something: where it's a great package deal that doesn't mislead consumers.
My buddy got this in an email and forward it to me, so I tried to book for sh!ts and giggles to see what final pricing would be. Every time I try to book a date, even a weekday, it would say sold out. Maybe they were just trying to control volume early on but I haven't gone back to try again. If they offer this in the fall I'll probably book a day for an NFL weekend

That pool is open to the public, not just hotel guests, which is one of the reasons their policies are restrictive.

I got home from LV yesterday and the Phish fans were out and about starting Tuesday! I was at Venetian and the tie dye and hemp pants were out in force. I know some folks attending the shows and so far feedback is really positive.
Had to be an experience that week!
Love that you mentioned Phish. I’m in town for the shows and the first three have been mind blowing. I’ve seen almost 200 phish shows over the last 30 years and these have been like none they’ve ever done before. Sphere, both the visuals and especially the sound, is absolutely astounding.

I love the all inclusive idea. A similar idea is the Prestige Club at Venetian/Palazzo. They have breakfast, buffet continental with a hot meat and egg choice and all beverages and then complimentary top drawer wine/cocktails from 4-7 with two hot,two cold and dessert canapés. In between they have coffee/water/pop/fruit/snacks. I found it well worth it with no lining up for morning coffee/breakfast and the evening food was tasty. The menu changed each day and the service was wonderful. They post the menus on their website. Going again in July and can’t wait!
First time i went to Vegas, most resorts had some kind of inclusive package. It wasn’t all-inclusive but i got five nights at Bally’s, one free breakfast buffet, one free lunch buffet, $20 in free slot credits, and a couple other freebies. This was 1991 and even if you didn’t book something like that, a lot of resorts had some kind of coupon books or gimmes. But a lot more revenue came from the casinos so they were doing their utmost to get you to come in and spend spend spend. Still is that, i suppose but not casino-exclusive.

I think there are two 3D signs on the Las Vegas strip. The first is/was at the American Eagle store across from New York, NY. Not sure if American Eagle is still there but I think the sign is. The second is at Waldorf Astoria and was just recently installed. It would be cool if you could show both signs in one of your upcoming videos. 😎

Love the NFL draft. I came to Vegas and watched in person when Vegas was the host city in 2022.
One great thing about the 'severe' restrictions at the Azilo Ultra pool ...it won't be crowded. Maybe they should just make it a no-clothing, no-nothing pool resort. Doing that will for sure bring the crowds to the 'sausage party'. As for digital billboards, a 3D version is long overdue for the Strip. I can't wait to see Dimopoulos Law on a 3D sign!! 😏

Last year in October, i stayed at 3 different hotels and i have to say the plaza was the comfiest. Their bed was superior to treasure island and nyny. Plaza is also just a good deal if you like freemont.
My drinks are already inclusive in my Vegas deal. I take my YETI fill it up with whatever I'm drinking in my room and start drinking downstairs. Easy.

One of the great things about Vegas is they let you bring in whatever from anywhere.

I really like the Plaza deal. More resorts need to be more affordable for Las Vegas to continue to prosper. As the economy begins to cool off the high priced resorts and restaurants will be the first to get hurt. If they don’t offer good deals more people will stay home and play at their regional casinos to save on high air fares and the generally overpriced food and beverage.

Mark’s analysis about street vendors is valid. We live in Atlanta, and there’s a fine line between street vendors and the homeless here, and I bet they police parks for that reason. I realize Clark Co has their bases covered, and I guess they’ve “protected” this industry, but it sounds like they are honestly choke out this business channel, too.

There are many good places in Clark County and surrounding the street vendors can go to..Many visitors and locals can help spread the word where they are...There are some I am aware of if and are good...And Laughlin can use some street vendors as well theres great opportunity there too...Yet the street vendors have to follow the rules can be challenging with language barriers

The Sahara pool in question is open to the general public, not just hotel guests. Hence, "no weapons permitted" is probably a good thing.
Mark, when Pete Rozelle was the commissioner of the NFL, ESPN approached him and said, "we'd like to broadcast the NFL Draft and we'll even pay you money." He was surprised, as he could not imagine that anyone would watch it, but since they offered money, he said, "Have at it."
While the Circa's prices may be outrageous, thousands of NFL fans (including yours truly) have been obsessing over this for months. You saw the crowds that came to Vegas last year for the draft.
Hate to see people getting laid off. Hopefully, Area 15 won't lose anymore businesses. But I agree, we visited the place last October and have no desire to go back anytime soon.

Sahara's "status match" gives you high status - but with ABSOLUTELY NONE of the benefits! They explain that you still have to "earn status to unlock anything on that level of status." AKA It isn't a status match at all. 100% false advertising!

In my opinion, good team names have multiple meanings and are kid friendly. Lots of kids have been rewarded for good grades with a trip to see the A's play.

fyi, Santa Fe downtown has about 11 art museums. The State museum of New Mexico is really interesting, authentic items from the Conquistadors.
Also has a Margarita tour! Or so I am told :)

Re the Australia TITO software bug. I wonder if casinos ever had, or considered, a hotline to report cheaters, maybe with a reward. I think the software glitches are more common than people realize.
I guess they will stop digging when a Hotel falls down or the Tunnels Flood. I’ll never use them that’s for sure.

Rail system is never going to be affordable at all, it would need tax funding to stay afloat which would be bad for locals and tourists, or it would have to be expensive with how much it would cost to construct and maintain for the long run. No way they’re more adorable than an Uber especially if it’s in Vegas

I heard that The Plaza was not part of the Fremont Street Experience "Club." Apparently, there was a fallout between an old owner of The Plaza and the Fremont Street Experience. Even with that owner now gone, they are not invited to join.
Im guessing the Plaza all inclusive does not include the Rib Cap at Oscars...

As a trademark lawyer, had Spearmint Rhino been my client, I'd have sued this other club long before now under the statutes prohibiting "passing off" and unfair competition, as well as trademark infringement.

I don't think the other Fremont casinos would chip in for fireworks because the Experience screen would block the view of them.
In fact, you'll have to head out towards the plaza just to see theirs, which makes their decision to do them even more brilliant.

A friend had visited Vegas for a few days and was in a Casino where a Womans purse was taken just a few feet from where he was. The Bad Guy ran past my friend on his way out of the Casino. The next day he was in his room, at a different Casino, and front Desk called to ask him to meet w/ some local Detectives who had traced him back to his Hotel, by surveillance camera, from the Casino he was at the day before. They wanted to know if he'd be able to recall any info on the Purse snatching.

The hotel packages aren’t bad. But u shouldn’t be paying for ur room if ur gambling. I’m a low baller and always comped on the strip Sunday to Friday. I’m definitely going to the fireworks show. Might go to their first one

Vendors housed in the park put the County or City at some liability i would imagine that is not a responsibility the tax payer is not willing to incur
Check out Station Durango Bel-Aire Backyard Pool FAQ's 😮....they have an even more nonsensical list than Sahara, they ban baby wipes, eye drops, liquid hand sanitizer....the list goes on and on !!

It's not so much a reference as a direct name. The strip club in South Park is literally named "The Peppermint Hippo". It's not rip off of Spearmint Rhino, it's directly named off of South Park.
The club can just rename themselves Doublemint Dino, hahahahaha! XD
Frankly, I don't understand how anyone can wear pants to a Vegas pool. I don't think they should be disallowed, but the thought of wearing pants at a Vegas pool alone makes me feel claustrophic, hahahahaha!
A lot of the hysteria surrounding street food vendors blows my mind! I genuinely feel a significant percentage of it is influenced by casual racism, because it genuinely isn't a problem in plentiful other cities I've visited. I get how it can be a logistical concern on pedestrian bridges that draw high volumes of foot traffic, but otherwise it's very much a non-existent issue in my view.
That Plaza deal is genuinely awesome and has a lot of great value...............BUT I have a big issue with it being characterized as an "all-inclusive" deal. That's simply false advertising if you're only getting discounts at Oscars. Either be a genuine all-inclusive arrangement or else call it something else.
I still don't understand why they don't sync all the screens to do the count down on New Years Eve... It will be bigger and better than Time Square.

I love all those prohibited items for the pool. This sounds like a giant law suit waiting to happen. Let's wait for the first person to have a seizure because the pool attendant stopped them from bringing their prescription meds. Can I wear my $250 running shoes when I go to the pool or would they be considered athletic gear. Since I work at home my workwear is my underwear. I wonder if they'll object to that if the skid marks are on the outside. However, there's a simple way to circumvent these rules - stay someplace else.
May 24th thru Memorial Day for Fireworks is not through the summer. That's only 1 week of Fireworks
As a local i see these street vendors with the rainbow umbrella all over Spring Valley. They park their vehicles in school zones, set up their carts right outside the elementary schools and parents double and triple park just to get some Takis. The crossing guards cant see around the cars double and triple parked. Im happy they cant be by parks or schools. They make already terrible after school traffic absolutely unbearable.
Yeah, the park provision IS weird. It gets hot in Vegas, you need something cold to drink, that’s easy money.

If you do go to Santa Fe make the 1hr drive to Albuquerque see the Breaking bad houses Walter white and Jessie's house also. The chicken restaurant of Guss is a real place.
