I remember staying up n a boat room at Colorado Belle in 2014. The iron had the word SAHARA written on it. I also remember staying at n the Skyrise Tower at Circus Circus after the 2011 updates. Then I saw someone’s video from a room a Bellagio before their room was renovated. It was the same armoire. I think it was 2005 when Vegas got an April snowstorm. I was going to go hiking with my brother and his wife, up on Mt. Charleston, but the trailhead had 2 feet of snow! There was a guy dressed as the Easter Bunny running around on a snowmobile, up there.
There was actually an opening day protest by A's fans. Thousands of people came to the stadium, but did not attend the game. They stayed in the parking lot.
Came here to say this! The real story is that the fans are so sick of Gap baby, they boycott going to the games him and his stooge Kaval are pretty dead to everyone in norcal.
Did the Sky Combat Ace when they were based in the Los Angeles area years ago and it was incredible. Instructor pilot taxied and went through wheels up then gave me the plane. Flew in formation to an offshore area then lined up for six passes of air to air simulated maneuvers pulling up to 6g. After six passes we formed up and returned to base and the Instructor Pilot took over for landing.
Back in the early 1990’s we went up in a WW1 biplane! It was open to the air and we wore the leather helmet with goggles (think snoopy) The pilot was an old retired gentleman who had restored it. He took us over red rock canyon and it was breathtaking to be out in the open air up that high near the mountains . He also did a “loop de loop “ and a “stall nosedive”. Don’t recall the cost but it wasn’t that much because we weren’t rich 😂 maybe a couple of hundred bucks. Thrill of a lifetime but probably not allowed anymore.
I hope the weather improves when I'm back in Vegas for the NAB Conference in about 2 weeks. We were in town about a week ago and the weather was too chilly. We went down the pools at Fontainebleau and it's way too cold to hang out there.

Regarding jackpots - I was at the Winstar casino in Oklahoma, and an older Asian woman was playing a Dancing Drums slot for $.88 cents a spin and she hit the jackpot for a little over $18k - amazing. I have seen wins 3-4 times that amount, but they were all playing much larger bet amounts, so this one was the neatest one to me. It proved lightning can strike for the low-rollers once in a Blue-Moon.....
Most of the machines were off and even the bathrooms were closed on Saturday but they already had the auction site up before the closure. Sad the way they did this.
We always take in an Aviators game or an MLB spring training game at the LV Ballpark when we are in town. Awesome venue and so easy to park. They’ve been drawing more fans than Oakland for some time.
a few points on Baseball .... Oakland has ALWAYS refused to pay for players, ( and renovations to stadium ) that's why people don't go to the games... team can't compete .... Vegas locals go to Aviators games because tickets are ( relatively) cheap ..... the A's tickets WILL NOT BE ... so attendance might not be what minor team pulls in
Hey Boys so funny the Harrah's in Atlantic City is such a show case and the one in LV has always been such a downer, nice to hear of the current up grades and thanks for the information
New Wynn Match out today...........according to the terms they are not only matching CET base Diamond but also CET Platinum matches to Wynn Platinum . Do you have any idea if we can match Wynn again if we did the match a couple years back ? Thanks
I was a fan of Harrah’s prior to Covid. Our last stay was terrible. Will not be going back again to stay or play. Love that there is snow in the mountains in Vegas currently! Wish it would’ve snowed like that here in Northern Michigan.
Can’t believe how you now have to pay $35 just to skip the line at a restaurant?! WTF!!! That’s absurd! Total Greed! Once again in Vegas. They are finding out any ridiculous ways to take your money! Any!!! Why again I can’t go there any more. No way. Too much Greed! Everywhere there. It’s a shame. Sad. Despicable.
That happened to me at Excalibur! Came back to the room and found the radio on, blankets disturbed and long, dirty nail clippings on the ground. Didn’t catch them in the act so we have no proof but we know someone was in the room
I did the stunt plane, it was Insane! It cost me $1700 with almost all the included upgrades. But you can go cheaper. Think about it, you’re flying a stunt plane with a professional pilot that will save you if you go out of control. Very good price for an event like that. Had to lay down on couch after to get my stomach, head and legs back under me. Amazing and worth the cost for an extreme adrenaline rush!!
I might do the Top Gun thing next year. I always go to Speed Vegas/Exotics Racing and spend close to the same amount, then do the same sort of thing but on the ground. The unique experience is worth it to me. Not many people in East TN can say they’ve raced in Ferraris, McLarens, and Lamborghinis. So saying you’ve done a barrel roll in a plane probably would be comparable. My 2cents. 😅
Just got home from the weekend at the Trop. I was able to get some $5 chips by playing roulette. Also one of the last handful of people out the door at closing on Tuesday.
Could be as simple as not having enough staff to run the place. Staff went and got new jobs. When tips are a big part of your income you have to do what you have to do. Just a thought.
Yes I am sad they removed the Mr and Mrs Money Bags statues in Harrahs, happy my husband and I took a picture with them cause it is definitely a history piece now.
Harrah's use to be a regular stop for us but it lost it's bang nt every exciting spot anymore and the loss of the oyster bar there was the last straw the oyster bar was always a great value good food the staff was always happy to help and to watch them make your food was always fun.
@@markostermann6632it was just called the Oyster bar but they had a variety of food. Ate there a few times and never had oysters. There’s one still open at the Golden Nugget in Lake Tahoe (Previously Hard Rock).
The Tropicana has been losing money for a long time. They also lost a lot of employees over the last year, few people want the uncertainty of working for a failing business that has announced an upcoming closure. It’s a lot easier for Ballys to close than pay salaries, utilities and maintenance costs. That Wheel of Fortune jackpot you showed indicates it was a 5-line machine, so the winner was playing $5 a spin. I quit playing Wheel of Fortune years ago when they started removing the 3-line machines and replaced them with 5-line and 9-line machines.
Yeah I thought $5 but couldn’t see the denom so was being careful. But probably no way it was quarters. No doubt it was cheaper for Bally’s to go this way but I hope they aren’t welcomed back here if they eventually fail at this casino project.
When new management took over, it immediately announced it had no plans to invest any money into the property at all. That probably triggered a lot of departures. Then, when they announced this deal with the A's, Ballys announced that everyone would eventually lose their jobs. Businesses that make such announcements will actually pay bonuses to key employees to stick around until they close.
@@davidsigalow7349 true, but those bonuses, as you said, go to key employees. No doubt a lot of security guards, bartenders, wait staff and dealers went looking for more secure employment.
Chips have to be destroyed, the gaming commission requires it. That is why the cage can’t just sell them, you had to buy them at a table and play and walk away.
When they demolish the Tropicana, I hope they are able to save the landscape plants, especially the palm trees. Those palms are nice old growth trees. At the very least they should be able to sell them, and maybe get a decent price due to their age.
I did the hack last Wednesday, May 27 at the Wynn buffet where you book a late lunch reservation around 11:45 AM for $55 and then hang around for the seafood buffet to start at 1 PM that would normally cost you $75 .I then upgraded to the ultimate all you can drink package for $44. It was well worth it. I must’ve had about 10 different cocktails or almost every cocktail from the entire menu that was offered and I don’t even remember walking out of there. 😬🤡
I like the strategy! I did the lunch/dinner thing last year and it is a great value. Which reminds me I need to get back there. It’s the only buffet in town I really love.
@@Milestomemories I’ve yet to try the all You can eat Butler Stlye brunch at La Cave inside The Wynn where you can choose from about 19 different things from the menu that they bring around to each table. It cost around $55 and everything looks really good and made fresh. I saw travel Ruby do a video on it last week. She pretty much said everything was great.
I saw a story on one of the Vegas TV stations and re: the Trop chips the 1’s and 5’s had been bought up. It’s a state regulation that the remaining chips have to be destroyed when the casino closes, so I guess the question is how expensive of a chip do you need to go where you blur the line between “It’s worth turning the chip in at Oyo” and “Holding onto it as a collectible?”
They wouldn’t sell us $10 chips either although if we had been playing at the tables I’m sure we could have gotten some. I’m not a big chip collector so it wasn’t a big deal for me. They should have ordered up a bunch of $5s to sell because it would have been free money for them.
I went on Mon and Tues…they said they weren’t selling the $1 & $5 chips but were selling the $25 chips so I purchased one. I should have asked a guy playing at the table if I could give him a $5 bill for his $5 chip since he gave it to the dealer as a tip!
BUT they were selling $5.00 chips for $5.00 at the tables right from the dealer. The Other Meee (you tube) bought 4 of them for $20.00 just for a keepsake. They played a lot of games this last week of being open. Another tuber went in and wanted a chip and they only had $25.00 chips then suddenly they have stacks of $5.00 chips closing night? Another tuber went in and was told they were completely out of an souvenirs but then the bartender dug in a box and gave him a little bag with a pair of dice that had the Trop name on them. What stupid games they played. Just let the people buy souvenirs.
Instead of the Top Gun experience, I highly recommend going on an ultralight plane ride. They look stupid from the ground, but up in the air it's really crazy; sort of like having a self driving rollercoaster. And only $149.
Speaking of upgrading.....New promotion where 50 random people will get upgraded tickets at every Criss Angel show....tickets to *ANOTHER* Vegas show.🤣
Sky combat ace is not tall friendly just FYI. If you’re over 6 foot, there is no head support. I did the experience and when pulling the G-Forces I got whiplash. Am still dealing with the injury over a year later.
I did the Sky Combat Ace over a decade ago. I found a Groupon that made it 300. Was very worth that price for a once in a lifetime experience. My friend that went with me threw up and couldn't do any of the manovers. On a side note, you are not the back seat person. That is the instructor, and you are in the front. He sits higher than you yo control the plane. If you have the money or can get a deal, do it.
A friend and I dropped by the Tropicana last Thursday March 28. It was depressing. All the machines were off line and it was a dead place, no spirit. I would not stay there even if they paid me.
People can say what they want about the Tropicana - there is one thing that property has - the Tropicana name, history, and a street named after it. It's where James Bond stayed. It use to be called The Tiffany of the Strip. The pool area, back in the day, was second to none (and until recently was still nice). They should just call the new property Tropicana too. The previous Ballys (the Original MGM Grand) was awesome before Ballys was sold to Hilton and then Caesars was bought. Back in the day it use to compete with Mirage. Let the Ballys name be and just use Tropicana. I don't really think it matters though. From seeing those ball park renderings I don't see the new Ballys being all that great. It's just going to be another non-themed hotel the likes of Aria and Resorts World. I miss the themed casinos with all the lights.
It's not surprising at all or uncommon to pay large jackpots on minimum bets. I'm a slot attendant in a California casino and just today I paid someone who bet 88 cents, $8,000. We do this all the time. It's not unusual.
But think of the fun of breaking into the closed ghost town Tropicana between now and Oct and exploring the memories and ghosts of guests and employees past
yeah thats nuts. didnt know it was only 2 days away why in the world would they not give it the best send off a casino could have. also you made me curious if people were buying chips i wonder if they are selling checked ebay and of course they are lol idk if they are the current ones but they are there.
Jackpot at Plaza. Hadn't been the Plaza in 40 years. Was on Freemont Saturday, stepped through the front door of Plaza, turned around and left. I am not a snob about casinos. But it had zero curb appeal from the front door. We had just come from the McDonalds at the D. While we were eating our burgers, a DoorDash driver came in with her cooler for a pickup. She also had a beer in a clear plastic cup with a straw that she had picked up for herself at the D bar.
I agree with you guys on how crazy it is that the A’s only draw in that little of fans into their stadium when they now want to build this big new stadium in Vegas. Meanwhile tearing down a pure Vegas icon. With little to no respect too of doing that! Would have been much better if the damn team was popular. Successful. But the A’s are not. Starting off very weak in Vegas. That’s scary.
I blame Bally’s for how Trop went out more than the A’s but admittedly there are still hurdles (financing) to getting the new project built. I really hope we don’t end up with an empty lot.
They should have kept the _Tropicana_ opened until the 5th, had a big anniversary celebration/closing memoriam with a bunch of branded merch and gave a proper goodbye! Ladyluck HQ and hubby Dudeluck make a lot of large slot bets on their slot channels too, usually at the Venetian when in Vegas. The robot question at _The Sphere_ can be a great content deal. RUclipsr SayHiToMatthew asked one robot if it liked pizza and got a cool video out of it, including the controversy of pineapple on pizza!🤣 I think anyone watching the Lions should get a sympathy upgrade!..... Now that it's pool season, a bikini company needs to sponsor RUclipsr _Babealabe_ for the summer!👙 If I had the disposable income, I would do the _Top Gun_ flight in a heartbeat!
We didn’t try too hard but considering the tables were open I figured there was a way. That isn’t my preferred souvenir anyway but I’m shocked they didn’t sell as many as they could to everyone. Free money essentially.
@@Milestomemories I’ll be honest since I was trolling a little with the comment . So yesterday I was playing at the Tropicana and I would say in the 30 minutes I was at the table, over 20 different couples and people came to ask for chips and the dealer kept getting more annoyed at the amount of people that would ask and there were at least 5 different guest who joined the table to get the playing chips and try and leave and security did not let them even though they have no value. The only way people were getting chips was by actually buying the physical chips you cash in. But since I was playing at the table and won a good amount and tipped the dealer, when I politely asked for some souvenir chips he gladly gave me 1 of each color .

The best upgrade in Vegas is bumping up to first class on the flight in so you can start pre-funkin’ on the plane 🍸🍸🍸
Landing in vegas properly lubricated is always a plus
So Mark, did I hear you say that something feels "dirty" about loading money directly from an ATM to a slot machine...in a place known as Sin City? 😁
A friend and I dropped by the Tropicana last Thursday March 28. It was depressing. All the machines were off line and it was a dead place, no spirit. I would not stay there even if they paid me.
Yeah it was so sad in the end. I felt bad for some of the employees I spoke with today who still cared but I don’t think management did.
Like your show you guys are very informative❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you!
Keep laughing , I love it!
Haha always!
One thing I can guarantee
Any word as to whether The Comedy Stop is relocating?
I think they’ve hinted at it but haven’t announced anything.
4:07 You couldn’t pay me enough money to put a used Tropicana mattress in my home. God knows what diseases and bugs are on that thing! 🤣
It's not surprising at all or uncommon to pay large jackpots on minimum bets. I'm a slot attendant in a California casino and just today I paid someone who bet 88 cents, $8,000. We do this all the time. It's not unusual.
Glad to hear that! I guess if it doesn’t happen to us we don’t notice it as much. Cal is on fire!
This is the end of the era Sahara and Flamingo and Tropicana since ? 1967
My son won 16000 on treasure box .50 cents hit the Mega at the Venetian two years ago
77 in Laughlin today!
But think of the fun of breaking into the closed ghost town Tropicana between now and Oct and exploring the memories and ghosts of guests and employees past
Ah the TikToks coming our way!
Anybody heard where the laugh factory is moving to?
I don’t think they’ve announced anything but have hinted they want to relocate. So many comedy spots in Vegas now.
@@Milestomemories Rich Little and Jon Lovitz also.
Im hoping Sky Combat Ace will get more people into Aerobatics! We need young blood! 💜☮️
The A’s owner is a multi billionaire , he’s taking the biggest sacrifice into making the A’s a billion dollar team.
yeah thats nuts. didnt know it was only 2 days away why in the world would they not give it the best send off a casino could have. also you made me curious if people were buying chips i wonder if they are selling checked ebay and of course they are lol idk if they are the current ones but they are there.
Watch Vegas Matt's $1125 per spin on Regal Riches.
This is why: didn’t want to pay any more licensing and tax.
I saw on FB a sign from Circa where it says , only people over 31 can enter the premises, 31???? Wow
That was their April Fools joke. I’m sure some would be happy with that though!
@@Milestomemories thanks for clarifying
Jackpot at Plaza. Hadn't been the Plaza in 40 years. Was on Freemont Saturday, stepped through the front door of Plaza, turned around and left. I am not a snob about casinos. But it had zero curb appeal from the front door. We had just come from the McDonalds at the D. While we were eating our burgers, a DoorDash driver came in with her cooler for a pickup. She also had a beer in a clear plastic cup with a straw that she had picked up for herself at the D bar.
What ever happened to Winnie and Buck? They were like old friends whenever I’d stay at Harrahs.😢
They said that they were too damaged and removed them instead of making repairs. Very sad.
They did the same to me one night when I was too damaged.
@@billcookerly7529😂😂
I went to visit them last year and was sad to see they were gone. Visited Vegas again this year and didn’t bother walking into Harrahs
Do you think the Oyo will see an uptick from people who used to hang out in the Tropicana?
Oakland fans boycotted opening day.
Doesn't it take months to prepare for demolition?
Yeah but two days wouldn’t have made a difference. She would have turned 67 on April 4.
There was a boycott for A’s opener. Fans stayed in the parking lot.
I think this was for the second game
RUclipsr SayHiToMatthew asked one robot if it liked pizza and got a cool video out of it, including the controversy of pineapple on pizza!🤣
I think anyone watching the Lions should get a sympathy upgrade!.....
Now that it's pool season, a bikini company needs to sponsor RUclipsr _Babealabe_ for the summer!👙
If I had the disposable income, I would do the _Top Gun_ flight in a heartbeat!
Top Gun looks grreat. Height/weight requirements though. You want to talk about fun in the sky, do a spot on The Mile High Club. 😁
I was able to get a bunch of chips yesterday by being a cool local form California 😎 they just gatekeep them from tourist and Nevada locals .
Buy the carpet!!!!
