I thought my dad was crazy when he told me that's what he thinks the problem is since he replaced the battery and the cables to my car. He has lectured me for years and years not to put a ton of crap on my keychain and this is exactly why😮 thank you for your video!
Lol, after years of trying to solve similar issues, I changed my batt cables, it was batter for a week, then as you said,,problems came back, and eventually it won't start at all. Always full power, start with a key wiggle sometimes, t's been years, lol, but now, ya, totally won't start... I'm not a mechanic, I can't afford dealer computer/electrical prices,, but I've never given up. I just finished rebuilding that same WIN module tonight, 5 mins ago, lol, still, it's possible this was never the problem, because.... , here's what I wanted to say - the last 2 weeks, I found a broken wire on the TIPM, a broken wire on the PCM harness, a broken wire inside that WIN, a corroded lighter causing draw, and after I fixed it all, I had a flat the bother morning, lmao.... I'm putting the ignition in in the morning, if it doesn't go, I think I'm out pray for me buddy, this truck issue has affected my life and well being to no end... cost me friends, family, jobs.... just fkn ridiculous Peace
Sad thing is this is a common problem with these vans and dodge won't issue a recall past a 2010. I had to replace mine 2 years ago because it kept dying on me while I was driving, the fob was moving by itself back into the acc position and just killing the van. I could literally feel it moving if I held the fob after getting it started. Another common problem with these vans is the fuel pump relay in the tipm, had to buy a bypass kit for that or replace the whole tipm.
I am having the same issue with mine, installed the bypass kit for the fuel pump and it drove fine for 2 years, now it won't start, no sound at all..battery is good starter is good..no clue what to do
I have the same problem with my 2010 model. Got the ignition module out. Now, I'm trying to figure out how to get the board out of the black box. Tks for the video, I will try to do the same and fix that thing.
@@jimmywarden6320 It took me a while to open that box and spray everything inside. Left it to dry overnight. It worked for 5 starts then, the same issue came back. I went to Chrysler. They installed a brand new part. All they had to do it screw it in place, programmed it and leave the rest to me, rebuilding the whole dashboard. They checked the part, and this specific number can't be replaced with a part from the scrapyard. Ohh well, Cost me $540.94 Can with Tx. I had to get it fixed cause my vehicle is still in top shape. No issues after the repair.

Did the ignition change fix the problem...mine makes no sound when I try to start it. Battery and starter are good.
Nice! Just what I thought the problem would be. Did the fix last?

How long does it take to remove dash etc and replace the ignition module ?
@@richardpaquin7066 about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes
Would have tried the remote start feature. If it started it would point to the WIN module or key.

I finally got it apart. Those white clips are a pain.
This to my ram did you just spray the whole board or did you have to use a q tip

@@DSurfer2007 550 dollars sir was that programming, part and labor as well sir
@@jimmywarden6320 Yes. Since I dismantle all, it was a fast fix for the mechanics.
Great job
Does it have to be programmed
it is neutral safety switch according to some other guys.
