Thanks for posting the video. For those who will attempt this do not remove 4 screws from win module, instead remove 3 screws on win housing and pull the unit with the housing. You will not be able to pull the win out without unscrewing housing anyway. Win module housing bracket has 3 screws, one at the top and two at the bottom. You will need to unscrew left side of your entire dashboard all the way to the radio and hvac control, remove kick panel and then you will be able to pull the dash enough to have access. Look up videos on caravan dashboard/instrument cluster removal, just remember you only need to free up the driver side. The module can be taken apart, board unsoldered and contacts can be cleaned up. Look up the video on Dodge RAM WIN module repair. Good luck and don't forget to remove negative battery terminal before you start this work.
Well Done Dude . ! I have seen several others, and they not only Remove the Cover Panel (under steering column) but also have several other additions to the process that are not Necessary
I just tried following the instruction in this video, and as Subnet Zer0 commented it is the WIN module housing that needs to be taken out and not the module alone. The screw you mention at 3:54 is only holding the module to the housing so it doesn't need to be removed. The four screws you mention at 5:14 are also WIN module-to-housing screws and they don't need to be removed at all. What you removed in this video were one WIN-to-housing screw and three housing screws, and it shows at 6:53 that the WIN module came loose with the housing attached. The screws that are holding the WIN to its housing are the same kind that you show at 2:22 (round head phillips), but the housing screws that need to be removed look different (hex head phillips). So long story short, three housing screws are what need to be removed-two on the left and right side of the bottom of the WIN module and another one at the very top located between the bottom of the right cluster gauge and the gear selector. I don't know how you reached that far up from the bottom but I gave up trying to get to that screw.
You absolutely right on all counts, though all my screws were phillips heads. Also, I was able to reach that top screw by reaching in between dash and instrument cluster, under and to the right of the fuel gauge. One flathead screwdriver to hold the dash space open and a phillips head to unscrew the top screw. Hope this helps...
@@Minquell Thank you for the reply. I didn't have a low profile wrench to do that, but I just bought one now so I will try that. Did you replace the WIN module or did you open it up and cleaned the contact points?
@@JP-rr5zg My pleasure. I used a low profile ratchet wrench for the 4 WIN screws and 2 bottom housing screws. For the top screw used a normal Phillips head screwdriver, it was impossible for me to reach the top screw from under the dash. I bought a new WIN for $170 at a Mopar online store, haven't disconnected the old one yet. Waiting for my locksmith to be onsite when I swap them out.
by the way ... Did Ya know You can pop the Module apart, unsolder (5) small points, ans then clean the contacts ,! (Presto) that way it works like new, and DOES NOT Require a New Module / or a "Re-Program" on a new Module or the Key You already have .! (try it out - it works / Very Simple Soldering))
All the light's on the dash all went on, and the wind shield wipers, in my 2014 Town and Country van. Drove me crazy, still can't find the reason. Do you have any tips??? Any video's you recommend?
It's drivable, no real problems, dash lights blink ever so often. Wind shield wipers are a pain in the ass. Tried many things, can't figure it out with out taking it in. @@Sammytoyz
@samsdaily view, good video , can I ask how to fix my shfter on my 2012 town and country looks the same as this Caravan . The shifter not always, but most of the time, I have to push the button through the top of the dash to release the shifter
Sam! 1. When you loosen up the trim and put on your knee, did you disconnect the battery and the AIR BAGs?? 2. Do you have a video on how to convert FOB key to Push Start ignition? Thanks
Programming the module ??? Does it have to be “connected” powered or reinstalled prior to the locksmith programming it or program first then install. Thanks for the video
Good information....but if you have to call a locksmith to program it...why not just drop it off at the dealer, pay 1 price for the part, labor and programming...AND get a warranty...much easier 👍...unless you do it all yourself 👍

FYI: There are several videos on how to clean the the switch inside the WIN. It requires desoldering and resoldering 5 points on the circuit.
Very informative. Good job with explanation...!

@@lancebenyisrael4452 any video on how?

You say only 4 screws for the WIN, but aren't there 2 or 3 on the bracket that holds it too?

No I did not disconect the air bag I dont think y can convert to push start
No install then program with xtool scanner
No
It can be done just need to buy other parts
@@Sammytoyz How did you get the top screw off? I can't even see it.
I can't see or locate the top screw.
Thanks for your help buddy
great video, saved me some time
i dont think anythings wrong with ignition ,it starts ok but the most irritating thing is the keyfob wont stay in the ignition it just falls out?
The ignition wears out or your key is the black plastic that hold key in place
Can it be upgraded to oem push start button?
Yes

Thanks for the video. But I have to ask, Is your camera *drunk* ? or *hungover* ? What is it even trying to focus on?
Please do another one and focus or get helper
K what do u need to know
I bought mine from the dealer in Los Angeles and it was $380 without keyfobs😵😕
Just drill holes under that cover you popped off. 5 minute job
You have to bring it to a dealer to reprogram the new module after you installed it though, is that correct?
Yes unless you have a scan tool for keys
Or take to a lock smith
What if you buy a used switch from junk yard with the key, do you need to reprogram still or will it work without calling locksmith?
This would have been a better video if it was not so blurred!
Could you get one from a junk yard and get it reprogramed?
No used will not work
Just buy new price ranges 65$-380
@@Sammytoyz why a used one won't work? Also I didn't get why you removed the radio and the AC panel?
@@arabicchurchofsaskatoon-ca5567 Im trying to figure out why used wont work either.
How does the exact same part and part# ( win module) avoid recalls in other year models when they are doing thee exact same thing? Class action time!
Recalls on some models different years

Dealer charges $160 labor per hour, quoted 3-4 hours to replace and program. That's why.
Does it come with key and do I gotta program it?
Yes u have to program. Buy new part at dealer
