Great episode of Bonanza, Vic Morrow was Hell of an Actor!
And look how handsome he was the Great Vic Morrow I'll never forget him folks I was born in 1961 I've seen the best there is and was and their Legends and he died trying to save two children who are Vietnamese on a movie set!!
Vic Morrow was outstanding in this episode. He starred in another Bonanza episode titled 'The tin badge'. RIP.

Vic Morrow was an amazing actor. He could be so intense. I still remember him most from the Twilight Zone movie.

I got a good laugh when I watched the shootout at the end and when it was done the sheriff calmly says, "That's enough shooting."

Ol Vic never could shake that Bronx accent. Except in Roots when he spoke in an Irish brogue.

I seen around 95% of the bonaza episodes and can't remember a better performance someone made in this series than Vic Morrow
I think that DeForest Kelly, in the episode where he plays a doctor that is nearly hanged, gives him a run for his money.

Vic Morrow was a great actor and a very good director as well. Unfortunately, after a painful divorce, he succumbed to an alcohol problem that largely derailed his career and alienated him from his family. He was just getting himself back on track when he was killed in a tragic accident while filming the Twilight Zone movie in 1982.

Too bad Roberts didn't listen to Greene's fatherly advice about staying on the show and the benefits of doing so. But as the saying goes, you can show a man a diamond in the rough but only he can determine the value under the surface of his own free will.

Vic was a good actor and , I heard a good man also. To bad his life was takin short when he died on the set working on twilight zone the moviev in the early 80's. RIP

I do believe THIS is my very favorite Bonanza episode, as well; in fact, for years I've searched for this & have never been able to recall the episode name & today, by chance at a flea market, saw this episode & its description{on the back) of a DVD case, and it just "rang a bell"!!! GREAT to finally watch it again here!!

Vic Morrow is awesome, I have binge watched all the Combat episodes a couple of times, and he is bar none the best of the best.

I just love when the shooting starts, no one scatters, they just stand in place, "Nah no stray bullets gonna hit me"..lol
She's a dangerous woman. Although she came through for the Cartwrights in the nick of time, telling the truth is difficult for her when she has her mind made up about something.
My favorite Bonanza episode , Vic Morrow was a good actor . I loved Combat .

@@misslucky5474 Yes I’ve seen The Crucible quite a few times and I find it tough to watch. Pernell was fabulous in it! The end was so touching when Adam collapsed in Pa’s arms.

"The Avenger"served as a backdoor pilot for a weekly series with Vic Morrow as the star.
The first scene has "Mr. Atoz" (Ian Wolfe) from a Star Trek episode. He also played Septimus on another ST episode. A lot of character actors from "back in the day" got around in a variety of programs.

This definitely did feel like a launch for a spin-off. Kind of like Clint Eastwood's movie "Hang 'Em High".
looks like a pilot for a show that was never picked up .
But if it had been picked up, Morrow wouldn't have been available to star in 'Combat'.

Didn’t the Cartwrights have any kind of defense counsel that would have pointed out all the holes in that crazy woman’s story? I mean, my god, that window was FILTHY. A first year law student could have taken her testimony apart.

Someone, obsessively, counted up the number of men the Cartrights kill in these episodes -- the number is 666 plus 3 women. When I watched this as a kid, the feeling was that the Cartrights were law and order upright fellows, but that's a LOT of killings! This is one of the few episodes where there's any legal fall out for the Cartrights.

According to the story, Adam, Hass, and Joe are each from a different mother out of three different marriages of Ben Cartwright and all three are dead. Well in real life, one wife dying early or even two wives dying could seem accidental but three wives dying looks awfully suspicious.
I hate when they can not play the proper into music. Either play it or stop uploading this wonderful series.

Yikes, the man mr Morrow in real life lost his life from a crashing helicopter decapitating him and a kid and crashing another (child).
The story line made no sense, I mean, if they had hung Adam n Ben Cartwright, then wouldn't that mean that Joe n Hoss would've become the sole owners of the Ponderosa? How could those criminals have seized Ponderosa land?
one thing about those Hollywood writers, when they take lunch they really take lunch and the viewers are left trying to make sence of it all.
