That was an awesome moment when Hoss tried to convince Ben to involve the law, and not do it on his own. I felt that because their tv family life, was similar to mine where what mama says goes, like it was the gospel truth. We wouldn't have bucked up against her word. Ben already looked like he was going to smack Adam when he first said the same thing. But when Hoss said that, and I saw Ben wasn't irate, but was considering it a refreshing feeling came over me. Like children should be able to correct their parent, when they feel they are wrong. And that's the same reason some parent's wrong teaching is carried over from one generation, to the next, unless their's one child that bucks up against them and prove them wrong. When my son was old enough to understand things in the world, and I knew moms and dads are the child's first role models, imitating them. And I remembered when I was a hell raising curser, and a drinker, and everyone in the house would fall out lsughing at what I said, I did not want my son to think that behavior was good. And so I told him, to only imitate the good he saw in his dad, or me, but not the bad. Just because you see mom or dad doing it don't make it right. Children are not placed in our life, with a perfect day by day blueprint, of making a perfect child. We all have to find our own way, even our parents had to find their own way. Even though at one point I would have put all my money on my mama did everything right, but i know with my untrained eyes she did make mistakes, but who cares now, all I remember her bringing me was good. Even my whippings were good, and needed, wouldn't be here now if I hadn't gotten them. Probably would be in a crime video,, who knows, without correction you can go in any direction. Parenting is a very hard job and I'm seeing this more now as a gransmorher, than I did as a mother, because I had lots of helping handa helping me then, but my feet are more firmly cemented in being a better grandmother, than I had as a mother, and I can now see the mistakes I'd made, to not repeat them. But I always acknowledge the writers of Bonanza for their excellent storyline that you can relate to
Yeesh..! Ben sure was hard headed and vigilante like in the earlier seasons..! Glad he got wiser in in the later seasons and didn't do much without getting Sheriff Roy involved.. 🤠🤠🤠🤠 🍺🍻👍
Love Bonanza but have you ever noticed when someone gets shot on the show, no matter where they get shot, if they live their recovery time ALWAYS includes their arm in a sling.
Id have turned the entire complement of the Ponderosa on Drummond. All the hands of the Ponderosa as stated often is enough men and guns to equal/rival a small army. Drummund can't fight off the whole ranch. Killing Adam would seal his fate. He'd be outnumbered and outgunned minimum 2-to-1
Great series.....still loved by millions.....I watch at least one episode a day!
me too, you have good taste.
Everette Sloane was a magnificent actor, director and songwriter. He was brilliant in Rod Serling's 1956 movie, Patterns. Here, his talent is stellar.
yep, Mr. Sloane was a FANTASTIC actor. He could really inhibit any character he was called on to play so brilliantly.
I need to watch that.
THIS is one of my favorite. I love Bonanza, Big Valley and Gunsmoke. The best of westerns.😎
Everett Sloane was excellent in this.
This kids name was Sam Jackson in one of the last Bonanza movies I watched. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😂😂😂😂😂
"You're um... lettered ain't ya boy?" "Yessir, I spell out some"
Yup, he's about at literate as most them that there kids that come up outta public school these here days. Yup um.
Thank you sir, may I have another...☺️😂🤣❤️💸🤑
What a great show. Thanks Andy Daly and Bonanas for Bonanza for taking me back in time.
Jeb Drummond was just a greedy old man who didn't care about anybody but himself. Everett Sloane did a great job playing this role.
And he never cared about Billy the way he kept bringing up of how he saved billy from a hanging
And little joe hoss Adam and Ben come in and they are going for the guns 🔫 😅😮😮😊
Billy, boy!!
Billy lasted until episode 72....
Hi 🙋♀️ this is a very nice 👍🏻
Sabastion Cabot was the butler on Family Fare, the series all around good guy. Giles French was his onstage character's name.
He was in Spanish grant episode
Family AFFAIR
Billy boy, Billy boy, Billy boy
45:10, Billy is not taken in anymore by Jeb's lies.
