5 key takeaways from this inspirational video to save 2 hours of your life:
1. Don't plunge blindly into your aspiring business, but follow a well-thought-out plan for confidence and security.
2. Utilize bottleneck analysis to overcome obstacles and progress efficiently towards your goal.
3. Draw motivation from anti-goals rooted in past pain (as suggested by Dickie), or through gamification (as suggested by Ali)
4. Only initiate a project when the worst possible outcome is a positive net result, the project has potential for immense success, and you have the capacity to commit to it long-term.
5. Having more time in the day will not necessarily increase the likelihood of success (based on Parkinson's Law). Prioritize improving your time management and motivation first.
I found these insights very resonant and am motivated to apply them all.
Thank you!
Good summary, cheers mate
This really is an excellent overview. Thank you!
What I've learned the past 2 years:
- the power of journalling to clear your mind
- how to be a better reader
- the importance of mindfulness
- the necessity of facing your shadow
- you create your own reality
What I will learn the next 2 years:
- to become a better writer
- how to improve my relationships
- to play the guitar
- how to build a content creation business online
- how to improve my diet
U will
Learned to create content, market myself, edit, lighting, audio, website design, starting a business at 50 .To learn, public speaking, hire and delegation, systematizing processes, negotiating brand deals......
Nice list Liz! Thanks for watching, glad you found our conversation useful
You’re incredible omg. This is so inspiring.
Good for you! Same here...just started a RUclips Channel in January this year, but still holding on to my job too, but I've learnt how to make videos, edit on Davinci Resole, etc.
Public speaking definitely takes you to new heights, continue practicing by posting on RUclips 🗣️🔥 Greetings from an originally introverted shy Swede that got converted 😊
This episode shouldn't be free.
The amount of value in this is mind blowing and potentially worth millions.
I made time to listen to this podcast by listening to it while driving both on my way to work and home. (I dont work 8 hours, I work freakin' 12)
I'm going to be breaking this episode down later on and turn it into notes, and then implement from there.
Thank you for this one.
Too good to be free
7:39 My personal & practical advice for no energy after day job: 1. Check your sleep. Bad Sleep will kill 100% of your productivity! I found out I had sleep apnea due to nasal inflammation. Once I fixed and started sleeping better, I was no longer tired after work.
2. Switch job to something “easier” if you need to. I went from a demanding consulting job to a fulltime remote dev position. I started having more control over time and energy!
Good luck to yall and me on this journey!
Thank you and good luck.
I agree with No. 2. I went from consulting with a firm to independent consulting. Same things, same money, less time. The time I saved I have been putting into the hustle. Also, being independent allows for writeoffs of some of the startup expenses.
How did you solve your nasal inflammation?
@@remigiudicelli7687.
I sleep sideways which allow me to breathe with at least one side of nose. Also with body pillow to protect my spine and hip. I Tried 5 different pillows to find a perfect one (alex hormozi’s advice)
it’s chronic for me so it’s not completely curable so I learned how to deal with it
Great tips ✍
Hmm as a 23yr old in the last 2 years I taught myself how to make tufted rugs, video editing on premier pro, how to run a marathon, how to successfully complete 75 hard while managing a fulltime job, how to resell online, how to balance multiple things at once while maintaining a healthy relationship, budgeting, and I want to learn within the next two years: how to grow on longform (RUclips) and short form social media platforms, how to build my personal brand, Brazilian jiu jitsu, how to run ultra marathons, & how to make my first 6 figures, how to speak significantly better, and to learn better networking
Hi Ali!
Things I’ve learned:
- How to become a licensed architect. (I’m finally an architect, Yay!)
- How to move from Florida to Seattle
- How to raise a Doberman (they’re a handful!)
Thing I’d like to learn:
- How to create a successful business teaching others how to become an architect (already started posting content, but need to get better)
- How to speak Italian
- How to master Adobe Premiere
- How to play ping pong
Thank you for sharing. I will now make my own list. Good idea!
Love the Doberman idea. I have my 3rd Doberman and yes, the ARE a handful. Best of luck!
@@Archaon12 Haha thank you! I love him so much, he's worth it :)
I’ve watched many interviews on this channel and I must say that I really enjoyed this video. Many guests that Ali has on are very experienced and will just share their stories and lessons. Dickie and Ali are probably at similar stages of their business or life and it’s nice to just see them bouncing off each other for ideas, inspiration and light bulb moments! Awesome video!
This video was great as background to getting my kids ready this morning and cleaning up.
Things I have learned...
- Digital illustration
- Surface Pattern Design
- Living and Teaching Abroad
- Lesson Planning and Material Creation
- So many craft (embroydery, knitting, crochet, scrapbooking, planning, sewing)
- Parenting (0-5)
Things I want to learn...
- Video Editing + animation in video
- Art Liscensing
- Designing and Manufacturing stationary and accessories.
- more crafts (punch needle, beading, gouache painting)
- Parenting and beyond
- Dance
- Writing children's books
I love planning, organizing, and inhaling all the information. My bottle neck is actually making progress towards my goals. Doing the work and not getting caught up in doing things that do not move the needle forward like Ali's friend and RUclips. I found it helpful to reverse engineer my goal of 2000 dollars a month from business. I definitely need more eyes on what I have to offer. And although I have been focusing on instagram, I love and spend way more time on RUclips. So I would like to try that being my main platform.
Excellent video/podcast!
In the past two years, I've learned:
1. How to become a mom
2. How to build a website
3. How to create content on various channels
4. How to be an admin assistant
5. How to bake with sourdough
I'd like to learn:
1. How to better design websites to my liking
2. How to build a successful small business
3. How to raise multiple children at once :)
Yall! Last week, I wrote this In my notes. Cultivate. Capture. Curate. Create.
But I had the rough draft of this about a year ago. Obviously the idea not COMPLETELY unheard of. BUT it was an original thought for me. What an affirmation this is when watching content like this because it makes me feel like I’m at the frontline of this sort of thinking 🙏🏼 so excited to get start making more things and content
So much gold in this episode. This is one of my top takeaways as I am over consuming content: "When consuming content, ask yourself the following question:
- Is this helping me create more in the future?
- Is this helping me remove the bottleneck in my personal or professional life?"
Yes! This was such a great idea.
My favorite part of the video is around 33-35 minutes in.
I committed to making 5 videos a week on Jan 1st after being part of Ali's New Years call. I'm 100 videos in to my podcast now.
This first 260 episodes is all practice.
10 years of writing on the little notes app on my phone is now an invaluable asset.
The 10 years of curating and organizing my daily thoughts is going to really pay off.
The payoff is finding deeper purpose and fulfilment in this crazy world.
I will do the same , I started a podcast last year , I dont have many episodes , but I promise be more consistent.
And I am really scared to start a youtube channel. Because I am not conventional atractive and this always holding me back.
But I will start! ❤🎉
Goood luck with your proyect , you seem really focus
@@Franinthesky The hardest video was the first one. I literally started at the blank camera for 3 hours. I tried starting dozens of times. I couldn't believe it was a struggle. My big poofy hair almost made me quit too. Now I just wet my hair and use lots of gel before recording 😄 🤣 😂
I am an active duty US military member who has over the course of 27 years experienced some unique success in my journey. I have learned that it would be hard to replicate my exact experience. This journey and how others can find success taking the same path is where I should focus my sharing.
What I would like to learn is how to prioritize the public personality piece while staying inside of the military’s guidelines of utilization of uniform while in the public space…. Or How a corporate person becomes a public personality on the Internet without violating the company’s policy on social media (Codi Sanchez).
My top lessons so far:
- You always have more time than you think you have
- The world around you is limiting your beliefs
- Make content about what you 2 years ago would love to know
- What do you want to know in 2 Years?
- Learn it and then teach others through your struggle
- Watching Netflix etc. will drain your energy more than working on your dream hustle
- Apply your personal touch to some advice from e.g. Atomic Habits
- Your ideal client should be able to say with 100% certainty
**AI won’t replace you but someone using AI will replace you**
- 5000 years ago people already said
- Get started
- Be consistent
- Learn from others and curate other models and then make your own
- The coolest people are 1 year ahead of you
- we have people 2 years behind us
- learn from people 1 year ahead
Great summary, thanks for watching and listening!
I used to never watch tv or get on social media except for my business. Then after being in a relationship with a severe introvert, my habits changed and I started becoming so much more tired and depressed. I’m flipping back to minimal screen time, except for listening to RUclips vids in headphones and more time outside and it’s great 😊
Things I've learned:
1. Electronically Assisted Astronomy
2. Backyard gardening
3. French
4. Youth tournament baseball
Things I'd like to learn:
1. How to be more optimistic
2. How to play musical instrument (piano or drums)
Changing carreers is scary but it might lead down a path way more in line with what you actually want in life. Never stop learning and make sure to act on your ideas. Don't be so hard on yourself; you are capable of providing value to the world
I am the king of procrastination disguised and productivity. I love that you guys acknowledged that executing on a side hustle is much harder with kids. I listen to tons of content because I do while I’m doing fifty other things I have to do to run the household. This episode helped me confirm that I don’t have the discipline and patience to be a content creator and validated for me that I want to acquire a profitable business instead of creating one from zero. Thanks guys 🙏
Things I learned recently:
1. How to be an administrative assistant
2. How to plan a large event
3. New software
Things I would like to learn:
1. Coding/programming languages
2. How to produce a better RUclips video
3. SEO strategy for my blog
Boom, nice list! Appreciate you watching
You gentlemen have me writing my first newsletter. Much love and thank you for the inspiration.
Things I’ve learned
1. Tracking your progress is as important as moving forward.
2. Focus and develop few things rather than having interests in too many things.
3. Do at least somethings everyday is faster even in the short term than you think.
4. Importance of Networking.
5. Think of ROI and don’t be afraid of spending money but spend it smart.
Things I want to learn in 2years
1. RUclips creation skills.
2. Productivity system(second brain)
3. Clear distinction btw work and life.
4. Habits of learning new things continuously.
5. Coaching skills.
1. Software engineering
2. Mentoring
I will be starting my website and application business where I focus on just startups. I will consume this video and will use my years of experience as a software engineer to optimize the build out process and how I can deliver quicker than my competition
I was in the middle of taking notes when Dickie said content consumption can be a form of procrastination! Ha ha, I also had to include that line in my notes because it makes sense.
Things I've Learned:
1. Mandarin Chinese
2. How to Teach English as a Second Language (currently teaching in Taiwan)
3. Canva (from graphics to educational materials)
Things I Want to Learn:
1. Coding
2. Different Writing Styles
3. How to become braver and ask for what I want.
i just quit my job to pursue youtube full time - i dread going to work - ever since i was a little kid - there was something inside me saying " i shouldnt work for anyone" working for someone was sooo difficult and it wasnt a good match - im glad i told this leap of faith and i know its only up from here
I watched this while folding and putting away my laundry. I’m going to watch it again when I’m done and take some notes because this was exactly what I needed today. I’m also planning to do a follow up video and newsletter to keep the momentum going.
Great conversation!
This was packed with information!
It was clearly not an entertainment but something that 1) gave me content ideas and 2) Something that gave me the information to remove the bottleneck, in my case gave me the idea of bottleneck thinking and repeating this journaling prompt
My learnings (and content ideas :) )
- Productivity content is procrastrination unless it helps in one of the 2 above
- Make something sustainable by not requiring huge amounts of new effort (e.g. yt channel with lots of research)
- Make a flywheel by always talking to yourself 2y ago.
- If you feel drained at your job, that's the reason to work on your side-project, to leave the job
- Having limited amounts of energy is a self-belief
- Differentiate what you do to feel energized from what you do when you are drained. They are not the same. What you do when you are drained, drains you more
- Niche down your content by applying it. Make another atomic habits video, but talking how you applied it
- NIche down your service by providing very personalized service to max 1-4 clients
- AI won't replace you, but someone using AI will
- Nobody is creating something new. Quotes thousands of years ago said the same than productivity books now
- Start curating for years. Then you can have your own frameworks that bulid on all this knowledge. Dickie did with twitter threads. Ali did with productivity videos. Now both have their frameworks, courses, books...
- Break your brain more often. Achieve a next level of the game with delegation (e.g. selling while you sleep, having a video edited with 0h of your time)
- Iterate on a product by having close contact with the first cohort
- There's only one bottleneck at a time (reference book "the goal"). Same concept as critical path in software engineering and project management. No matter how much you improve things around it, until you improve the bottleneck things won't move faster
- Repeat bottleneck thinking as journaling prompt: Find number #1 bottleneck, find resources to surpass it, consume just the resources needed and iterate
- Example Ali bottlenecks:
- Script of videos word by word -> Script of video by bullet points
- Friction to start recording stacking books -> Buy a tripod
- Takes 1 hour to setup recording setup -> Leave it always ready to hit record
- Not enough content ideas -> Build the system.
- Not enough content ideas -> Hire someone for it
- only apply bottleneck thinking to something that will take you where you want.
- Niche down your product picking specific platform (market in 1 channel and become excellent at it), specific problem (that you solve), specific person (depending on their stage of their journey), specific way (your solution)
- PIck the money you want to make and work backward. By default we lower our expectations instead of raising our bar to achieve what we want
- Growth is cyclic. You grow to next level, all your systems break, you re-create them to become comfortable again, then you are ready to push to next level
- Your wealth is a function of the vlaue you create to others. This moves from zero-sum to positive-sum game. You create value and capture some
- You have to charge for others to commit to it. This generates sunk cost on people and they see things through completion
I'm going to have content for my LinkedIn and my future youtube channel for a while after this interview
My 2 Lists!
Content for me 2 years ago:
- How to build habits
- How to communicate with less
- Shadow work
Content I want to learn about in 2 years:
- Entrepeneurship and sales
- Leadership and communication
- Technology and building
- AI
Why is everything Dickie says soo smooth 😂
Mad speaking envy over here
Hi Ali!
Here are my 3 things I learned from this Episode:
1. Don’t just summarize existing content. Provide a unique angle by sharing how you have personally applied the information into your own life.
2. Share the knowledge and experiecences you gained in the last two years and create content around it, so people two years behind you can benefit from what you experienced. By continuously documenting your journey and sharing knowledge, you participate in an infinite game of progress, learning, and teaching others, ensuring continuous growth and creating valuable connections.
3. The way to reach significant revenue goals is by follow the 4 layers of specificity on marketing. Focus on one specific platform, targeting a specific person with a specific problem that they are willing to pay for, and offering a specific solution in a unique way.
The things I’ve learned in the last 2 years
1) how to story telling impacts sales
2) how soft skills impact your sales
3) leaders are readers
4) managing relationships matter to your business success
5) how to successfully network in business and life for growth
I'm so ready to make the moves that would bring me to a point where I can quit my job. My 2 years back: handling, working through, and healing from burnout, and divorcing a high-conflict person. 2 years forward: building a business online, becoming financially independent, life coaching, and I'm not sure what else! I used to feel very motivated, but now with burnout, I've put my hopes on the back burner. This conversation helped me to come back to that hope, so thank you for that.
Learned from this:
1 - The worst case scenario should be positive
2 - "Lack of energy" can be a limitng believe
3 - Bottleneck Analysis - learn, iterate, remove
4 - Applying the right efforts
5 - 4 specific prompts: Platform, Problem, Person, Way
I see Dickie Bush I click! There is just something very authentic about him.
Yes, I consume absolutely everything he and Cole create.
Excellent podcast Ali. I’m on the same boat, side hustling whilst working. This is the best advices around that topic that I ever had! Video downloaded and to be replayed whenever I lose faith! 😊
You guys have answered the exact question I have been grappling with for the last 5 years.
Thank you so much for being clear and direct
I turn 55 next week and I will retire in 2yrs - I signed up for the 30 day writing email as the goal is to actually earn $1M in the next 12mos. I thank you both for this podcast as I have gleaned so much I keep watching and listening. I am going to implement but I know the accountability piece is what I need as I work my 9to5.
Goodluck!!
Thank you Ali and Dickie! This episode is pure gold and fully packed with knowledge gems that I will listen to it a few times for it all to sink in!
After listening to the conversation in the vedio ,I was highly motivated to follow Dickie's advice to set path to my own financial freedom . Then in my pursuit to know more about this young acheiver ,I started to scout the web. I came across an article by Maggie Bush in which she noted the awesome achievements of Dickie starting as young as age 4 and then how it went to Primceton. What went in my mind after learning about Dickie was he has been a gifted kid all along. And agree or not many a things come easy to naturally gifted people that builds so much of confidence in them to become highly successful in pursuits they put their soul in. I am all for growth mindset ,but everyone has their reality that they need to face .
My show notes
29:45 don’t underestimate value of your experience. You can teach anyone 2 years behind your journey
32:13 two lists
33:08 intentional content consumption. 1. Is this helping me create more in future?
2. Is this helping me remove the bottleneck in my business or personal life
39:30 niche
42:02 hyper niche down
47:51 we are all 3rd graders
Things I've learned: 1) the process of learning in an academic environment, 2) basic project management, 3) how to code, 4) learning languages efficiently, and 5) moving from one state to another without having any connections in the new state.
Things I'm currently or want to learn in the future: 1) building my skills as a pianist, 2) music theory and developing my ear training skills, 3) building a website from the ground up, 4) music composition, and 5) writing a book.
This combination of logic and art >>>
I have been working as a sports journalist at the biggest media publishing company in UK since Jan 2023, there is no good books or articles about how to actually get into the industry, what to do and what to know and where to start etc - but I have learnt all this since leaving Uni. Wrote my first article today, Ali, Dickie and Nicolas have inspired me to start sharing my experiences to help others like I needed 2 years ago in my final year of Uni - and I am going to interview already established sports journos to get their insights and use that as content for substack.
Boom, great stuff Ethan
@@dickiebush77 thanks so much man 😁
the way I was listening to this as background content and then got forced to be an active listener 😂
My two lists:
What I wish I could tell myself two years ago:
- you have more than enough enough money and time
- focus on high quality content
- spend more time in libraries and cafes, they make learning and work feel effortless
- save the fancy ingredients and meals for when you go out for dinner and keep the groceries/home cooking simple ie. Frozen vegetables vs buying fresh and cutting them yourself. Ready made meals are also better. Time is more important
What I want to learn:
- fluency in French and Greek
- how to convey my thoughts to speech more articulately and be more interesting/engaging
- how to invest, different types of investments
- history, religion, evolutionary biology…
- Different ways businesses avoid tax payments
^ this list is actually infinite but we’ll leave it there :)))
Things I have learned in the past two years:
1. Script Writing
2. Acting
3. Basic Filmmaking
4. Emergency Room Nursing
5. In depth education about infectious diseases
Things that I am learning or want to learn in the next two years:
1. Drawing
2. The best language learning method for me
3. Japanese
4. Spanish
5. Cinematography
6. Video Editing
7. Starting a business
8. Basic Finances
I loved this conversation and did do the exercise. But I wanted to take the space here to say I think it’s impressive how Ali and Dickie can both be so relatable despite being such extraordinary achievers. It made me think, would I still value the advice if Dickie did not work at blackrock and if Ali never became a doctor?
And the answer is 100%. This was a masterclass on value creation by covering the past 2 years of learnings. And talking 2 years out too.
What I love even more is how Dickie created value through curation when he started even though he could’ve leaned into his Blackrock experience.
I’d still love to hear Ali or Dickie expand on this at some point though.
For those who may not have the super impressive credential or resume item yet that builds trust instantly, does that impact one’s strategy with how they will go about shipping their work?
Thank you again for the amazing insights, this bottleneck analysis made me take it more seriously in my journaling. I had been doing this but it felt like a waste of time until I heard Dickie’s full rationale behind it. Made me go from guilty to proud that I’m spending time on this stuff
-Misbah
Thanks for putting out such amazing content for free !
This was fantastic! I started my list and in the past few years something I've become very good at is teaching adults about Hospitality and I think that could be something to dive deep into (LOL, had to add that in!). Also, because of course I have more than one thing I do, with my YT I have a bottleneck which is filming videos. Once I'm doing the video I'm good but I don't have a way to leave my set up actually set up. You got me thinking, how to solve that problem so I just need to hit record and go!
I need "Feel Good Parenting" now! I Love Ali's advice and videos, and this interview didn't disappoint. It's really applicable to entrepreneurs. I've worked for myself for the past 15 years, with lots of highs and lows. I've now got two businesses and multiple channels. But becoming a parent is a game changer. It's the most rewarding experience but so challenging when it comes to productivity and time management. How to balance being a present parent and a productive business owner. So intrigued to see how Ali does when he becomes a parent.
Love this podcast! About time someone is giving a different perspective on side hustle’s and entrepreneurship. Too many ‘gurus’ tell the masses to quit their job, jump in the deep end …. This podcast is more valuable to 65/70% of people thinking of starting a side hustle. I work a job as a Senior paid search executive for a cruise company and run a solo digital marketing agency on the side. Everyone who knows me says why don’t I quit my job to do this full time but if I had more time, I’m not going to make more money and I’m happy earning a very decent income with security behind it.
I loved this. I love the way Ali always asks the guests the exact questions I'm thinking and then asks for clarity. Hence the Title of the pod I guess 😂
This was soooo helpful 🙏 I've never seen a wealth podcast go so detailed & specific about the process of leveling up financially & managing life on that next level. I loved the bit about consulting w/ ppl only a grade or 2 above U & assisting those 1-2 steps behind 👍
Wow!!! I can’t believe this is free! ❤
Thank you so much!!!
Wow… so much value. Thank you for this
1. Summarized my experience as a RUclipsr so well... will apply it when I help others in their business. Talk about your unique learning over the last 2 years even if u think it is easy and nothing. Move forward and document the journey. I cannot believe how many emails I get telling me sharing my journey has changed their life and given them confidence moving forward!
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed :)
Ive learned the below from this podcast, i will watch it again tough.
Distill the grade above you and educate the grade below you.
Ask your waiting list what they want to learn from you.
There is always someone thinking bigger, learn from them and understand why.
Thank you for the value!
Things I've learned:
How I can rank higher in government job applications and interviews
How I can translate experience from once field to another
How to find, write, and submit proposals for government contracts
The latest research on learning and teaching
Things I want to learn:
How to make a profit teaching what I know
How to make content efficiently and consistently
Great podcast ali!
This episode has inspired me to actually pursue RUclips properly. As an ex athlete and someone who’s built multiple businesses, I still think I have nothing to share. But this video has just given me the light bulb moment to share everything on RUclips that my previous self can better from!
Thank you gents!
Things I have learnt:
1.Basic Finances
2.Pensions
3. How important a new environment is for getting goals achieved.
What I want to learn:
1. The most common negative impact on modern day finances
2. What are the best investment's long term (and actually looking at the in depth data)
3. The economic impact of having a premier league football team on a local area
Excellent episode! Shout out to Dickie for share the game and not holding back. Changing the lens of how you consume content is major…’Does it move the needle or remove the bottleneck?’
@36:36 Watching this now as a parent and yes I definitely look back at my life before becoming a parent... I had so much free time! Saying that though, I see the silver lining in becoming a parent and working on my goals, I have no time to waste, every free time I get HAS to be smart use of my time, otherwise I have to either spend money on childcare or find another way to free up my time where I can focus on working on my goals. In a way, parenting has helped me reduce procrastination because I know I just don't have that luxury anymore lol. But I know when I look back to what I'm doing now with parental responsibilities, I can appreciate my journey a lot more because despite all the excuses I can make, I still chose to invest my time wisely to set my future self up for success. Great podcast guys, thanks for sharing this conversation!
I love hearing parents share their perspective, thanks for sharing 🥰
I've been following Dickie for a while now, fantastic interview! Thank you, Ali!
Things I've learned in the last two years:
- Mindfulness(did a 10-month program at UCLA's MARC)
- Copywriting
- How to lead meetings
Things I want to learn:
- How to ask and accept criticism
- How to not be attached in relationships
- How to advocate for myself
Cool things I want to learn over the 2 years: more singing, piano and dance. Lots about business, the entrepreneurial mindset, how to create a business plan, sales SND marketing.
Biggest takeaway: Curation + Your POV = Engaging content.
This episode is amazing!! So much value and it’s helping so much where I am right now. Thank you so much!!
I’m writing the lists right now :)
I love this podcast! I feel like the quitting job topic/ question is not spoken about a lot with successful entrepreneur leaders. I will definitely be posting my takeaways and tagging you guys. Thank you!.
Thanks for watching and listening!
@@dickiebush77 I look forward to following more of you both.
As a father of two small kids I can only confirm what you said about the time management. There are times when I don't have 5 minutes in a day to go to the toilet by myself. I have to admit I really felt the way you described "I will do it when I have more time, if only I had more free time I could do it ... ". Thank you for your pod. this made me realise I have to push true and not make excuses. I was really thinking about quitting my job not realising that is not the solution for my inefficiency. That's for the motivational part. You talking about AI was really eye opening. I almost started feeling very lethargic since the dawn of AI. Mostly because anything I wrote chat GPT just did better. It came to the point where I was really like not trying at all. I would formulate something and as a non native speaker GPT would just obliterate my sentence structure. Now this part was really genius " AI will not replace your job, someone with AI will... (Or something like that). I feel I looked at it wrong way. I should use AI to fine tune my content not to create it from the scratch. The basic ideas should came from my head and my experience to be unique and not generic just AI created. Now writing my blog really felt dull since chat GPT but this made me realise I should see it as an opportunity to improve what I want to articulate and fine tune it with AI. Now sure if you guys are going to read this but THANK YOU VERY MUCH for this! Cheers, Martin
Thank you gentlemen for this conversation. I appreciate the wisdom and the courage it took both of you to do the work to be able guide us.
What I've learned in last 2 years:
- Make decisions based on how I'll feel after the decision, not how I feel before. - Helps me make choices that are difficult but lead to the results I am proud of.
- You learn and gain 10x, 100x more from taking messy actions than by reading other peoples "perfect work" - I avoided doing the hard thing by just reading and listening but feared that actions I knew I needed to take out of fear of judgement.
- You'll gain more traction in life by raising your standards than you will trying to reach your potential.
What I want to learn over the next 2 years:
- How to run a successful Agency helping part-time coaches build credibility and respect within their space.
- How to manage & leverage my finances like a respected CEO
- Creating a successful podcast that provides real value for its listeners and guests.
Been waiting MONTHS for this one. Glad it's finally published!
Stop saying shit in your every sentence. Off putting, can't be bothered listening
Glad to hear it Rick! Hope you found our conversation useful
I learnt the following from this episode:
1. Learn and document your journeynand share with others
2. Don't worry too much about if your content is helpful or not. Make it and ask was it going to be for me 2 years ago if yes then go if not make it better
3. In fact you can make the above as a threshold for your content quality so before making a content ask this simple question and then decide to make the content
Not quite sure how you guys get/have so much clarity in your thoughts. I struggle to retain these ideas 🤯 great talk. Ha I just remembered the part about notes and taking action 🤦♂️but I always find myself overwhelmed by your podcasts with good ideas and concepts that are raised. I need to start taking some notes. Thanks
Realised and learnt these:
1. You will become an expert one day but it doesn't have to be today, and that should not stop you from creating or posting content. You grow as you go
2. Most of the content are repurposed and it's from someone else
3. You are the niche as you apply the learning to your journey and document or share it with others who are behind you, or ahead of you
4. Use both Positivity and some scary thoughts about how the future will be if u don't do anything about ur current situation to motivate you to take action
5. Belief and mindset when correct, generates empowering thoughts, puts you in a better emotional state, encourages you to take action, consistent action brings about the dream life eventually
What are the things that bring me energy? Listening to you, Ali.

How to be a notary in multiple states

How to make bags and wallets out of leather
How to break into a completely different field of work (hospitality -> eletrical distribution engineering)
How to advocate for yourself and advance your career
How to take care of my skin (Thanks Ali!)
Basic financial planning
Recognizing that abuse is sometimes a lack of actions rather than actively seeking to harm
What I want to learn in the next two years:
How do I use my emotions as motivators
How do I build a business
How to learn from failure and keep going?
How to move to a new state
How to find motivation to achieve my goals when im exhausted
How to learn from my past and become a better me
Thank you for sharing. Financial education is crucial today to show incredible resilience and discipline in the volatile market, masterfully balancing strategy and insight for success. This dedication to continuous learning is inspiring...managed to grow a nest egg of around 200k to a decent 632k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Patricia Annie Brooks, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape
Wow. I'm a bit perplexed seeing her been mentioned here also Didn’t know she has been good to so many people too this is wonderful, i'm in my fifth trade with her and it has been super.
You trade with Annie Brooks too? Wow that woman has been a blessing to me and my family.
YES!!! That's exactly her name (Annie Brooks) so many people have recommended highly about her and am just starting with her from Brisbane Australia🇦🇺
I'm new at this, please how can I reach her?
Her good reputation already speaks for her .I’m also one of the beneficiary of Annie Brooks. So happy I gave it a trial after being skeptic of the process.
FINALLY, it's almost been more than half a year. I have been waiting for this. It was announced right after Cole's interview, and it seemed like everyone forgot about uploading this totally.
19:52 timestamp for myself
when evaluating a new opportunity or starting a new project, ask yourself 3 questions:
1. is there an upside no matter what happens? what's the worst case scenario? you need the worst case scenario to be still a positive outcome.
2. exponential upside if it works out
3. can i stick with it long enough? (i would ask myself: do i still see myself doing this after one year?)
Things I’ve learned:
- How to start a business
- how to be in my feminine energy and why
- Control anxiety
- Communicate what I think
- the psychology in marketing

- the steps to a 6-figure brand
Ali you gotta know one thing that re-energizes me is literally listening to a part of your podcast 😅 somehow it’s just a motivation kicker
I like in the beginning of the podcast where he said not everyone is an entrepreneur. And this is really very realistic. He's not trying to sell a lifestyle that doesnt fit you or something that you are not willing to take a risk
### Where I was 2-5 years ago [and lessons]:

- You don’t have to be boxed to one thing to build a brand (niche) -- Start early, and share your journey not just information.
- Waiting for the perfect time -- You can do school and work and still build your brand

Hi Ali. Hi Dickie. Thank you so much for this practical and valuable content. So much to learn, with practicable action. 2 things I wish my 2 year younger self knew: 1. I wish I had someone to guide me on how to make a great career choice, I spent so much time in a place of indecision not being sure what my strengths were and what I should align to. 2. I wish I had someone to guide me on how to not be stuck in the same place for so long. 2 things I would like to learn in the next 2 years: 1. Business development and growth 2.Creating content for sales and marketing
Things I’ve learned in the last two years -
1) there’s always something I can do to be moving in the direction of health.
2) borrow other peoples beliefs until you can get creative enough to do your own
3) we actually do know what we need to more or less of if we’d ask ourselves
4) having faith in god or something bigger than myself can reduce anxiety and unknowing but it takes listening to faith messages daily to really cultivate that feeling
5) my intentions behind my behaviors are just as impactful - doing things out of love for myself is different bc sometimes loving myself is putting restraints on my time or on behaviors that I know my future self will thank me for
