Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future. Making money is not the same as keeping it there is a reason why investments aren't well taught in schools, the examples you gave are well stationed, the market crisis gave me my first millions, people shy away from hard times, I embrace them.. well at least my advisor does lol.
Investors should be cautious about their exposure and be wary of new buys, especially during inflation. Such high yields in this recession is only possible under the supervision of a professional or trusted advisor.

I am 45 years old with very little set aside for retirement at this point. I have always been curious about the stock market and have witnessed some people who played the game right and retired early because they used the stock market. When I ask them, most said that they invested very little to start with, but their portfolio grew. I do have a significant amount of capital that is required to start up but I have no idea what strategies and direction I need to approach to help me make decent returns

And for the love of all thing do not invest more than you can afford to lose. Always have other, safer monetary channels and backup funds.

Just buy low sell high. Stick with a good company by either not selling when it’s going lower and/or buying more at that time. Almost always the good well managed companies will come back strong at some point. The other is to get yourself a financial-advisor that can provide you with entry and exit points on the shares/ETF you focus on.
Well, I recommend you make a diversification plan because it's been harder to build a good financial portfolio since COVID. My colleague suggested I hire an advisor. I did and I've actually made over $926K with my advisor's help during this market crash. She uses defensive strategies to protect my portfolio and make profits despite the ups and downs.

I think its 6-7 % returns. if you have 10,000 and invest 1000 per month for 20 years, you should have 495K % 6% return rate.

It’s amazing how many people out there are producing videos saying “start a business with no risk”. Any investment with any desirable return involves a degree of significant risk . Also, to make as much as this video is claiming, you must do a lot of work, have a lot of capital to start, have a great idea, be able to put up with many quarters where you are losing money, be able to work long hours, and be able to learn a ton. There are no shortcuts. Don’t be bullshitted.
