They to me that they prioritize violent crimes over thefts and burglaries. Call SNAP fraud every day for your balance. Missing benefits... call your caseworker to deactivate your card and to send you a new card in 14 business days. These are very clever professional thieves. Change your pin number ahead of your load monthly authorization withdrawal. At the point of sale, cover your hand as you enter your pin number on This has been like this ever since June, 2004. Skimmer cameras can counterfeit debit cards and credit cards and good old EBT SNAP benefits cards for poor people depending on it to feed their families. Then they can use it anywhere in the United States. These doggone cameras can counterfeit cards in ladies' pocketbooks and in gentlemen' s wallets near a point of sale even if they are not swiped nor inserted into the point of sale. I had a police officer tell me to police it myself. Oh yeah.
@@MacchiatoSwirlGirl When I was robbed $$$ 1212.64 in SNAP benefits, my caseworker told me to file a police report. Then she told me that I was not going to be reimbursed anything. What did that police report mean???

After this happened to me i just started changing my pin every time i use the atm i change it right after.
They can’t take the money out with the wrong pin so keep changing it right after you use it.
Right on. Also cover your hand as you enter your pin. I am disabled and it is very difficult for me to do that.

Happened to my Elderly mother last week! I didn't even get to the store to swipe it through a machine. It was gone the same morning it came in on the 13th. I called to check that morning around 7/7:30am, and by the time I got to the store 8:30am- all the $200+ dollars in SNAP was gone except 13 cents. I called, amazing how they have an attitude up in the HRA Offices! It may be the skimmers doing some of the Fraud, but clearly it's not just skimming going on if peoples benefits are wiped off their cards before they can even get to the store to swipe the damn card! Let's not try to insult tge Recipients intelligence here. It's an INSIDE JOB! Start investigating the CASE WORKERS! WHY? Because they have access to all of the Recipients personal information. From there investigate the corrupt Politicians, because with all these illegal immigrants coming over here getting the *Red Carpet treatment* with our tax payers dollars, before they even get a green card NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED! How are you crossing the border illegally & you get free clothes, cell phones, & $8k in Benefits 👉🏾 NOT EVEN HERE LEGALLY! Do the math...over 10,000 illegals come here daily since Biden got the seat. Plus they all get free housing vouchers, free clothes, cell phones, & $8k in benefits 👉🏾 tax payer dollars. & that's before they get a Green card. Make that make sense. But they on social media making it look like the Recipients are just careless with their EBT Cards! That's pure BS! Between the Skimmers (all store machines should be investigated by the police. & store managers investigated as well). Then focus more on the HRA CASE WORKERS & OFFICES. The same people that handles the Recipients paper work. They should start there to behind with!

We never even have a chance to use our P-EBT card and more than $1450 was stolen. They used very much all of our benefits to buy things on the internet. How that even possible? We are completely lost and no one could help us.

$1281 just got stolen from my eldest daughters p EBT and used on the internet at a store in Arizona. I’m in Sacramento ca. We never even got the card. So they had to either steal it from the mailbox, or the carrier misplaced our mail, and someone just helped themselves. Either way, they left us with a whopping $9 smh. I was told to file a police report but they doubt anything will get done, I don’t get it.
pebt is not recoverable i dont know if you mean food aor cash i claimed for 235 in new york its recoverable now i made a application to local office a videoonutube from san bernadino calif shows cops catching 3 men using atms to steal from ebt on cards they cloned they could have used any atms and they showed money on the ground they think the crooks have stole a fortune so far they have caught some how do they recover money they have it stashed they must have used for cars and houses@@angelface3619

It's outrageous that these atm makers dont take PIN safety seriously. It would be easy to make PIN input uncapturable.
so people use an atm for cash benefits not only the food stores but chip cards cant be duplicated so theyget your numbers but alot dont have cash benefits
i think atms are most debit cards that have pins/and chips cash benefits can be accesses at atms and stores can only pay small amounts not like the banks or atms

my dad's ebt got skimmed and i went to go check my card and realized i got skimmed too. changed my pin that day.
This happened to me, what should I do? Should I cancel the card and order a new one or simply change my password? Someone has stole my foodstamps the past two months
@@alexakim-vx5ex I'm so sorry to hear this happened to you too! I just changed my pin number and haven't had any issues since. If you want to try to get your benefits back though you need to call the number on the back of your card to let them know your card got skimmed and they'll cancel your card and reissue a new one. You'll also have to call your ebt county hotline to report the amount that got stolen and you might possibly get reimbursed. I'm still waiting to see if my dad's benefits will get reimbursed. I didn't want to deal with the hassle of waiting for a new card (takes 10 days) so I just ate the cost and changed my pin. Next time you go to an atm make sure you hide your pin number as you input it! Good luck to you!

Seriously, you are asking clients to inspect EBT ATM machines. Why are the machines so old and not updated with newer technology? How about eliminating manual scanning of a card? Do the machines support card tap like credit cards? Do they support pins that can be more than 4 digits as well as alpha characters? Do the machines support cameras like banks offer? There are ways to prevent someone from sliding in a device into the card reader slot. Is the county putting their best technologists on solving EBT theft? As a work around at least post a guard at each machine until a safer system is created.

1. ebt is snap or food stamps.
2. i dont think you can draw cash from your food stamps it does not work for me i tried it.
3. even if like 2 you cant draw cash from the food stamps crooks can still skim the payment terminals in the store to get the card info.
4. the phone number on the machine could be fake (crooks have been known to make skimmer overlays that are a copy of the entire front of the atm so the phone number could be changed by one digit such to cause it to fail.
CHANGE YOUR PIN EVERY DAY!!! GET DIRECT DEPOSIT!! THE GOVERNMENT FUNDS ARE NOT FDIC INSURED!! thats right, your government's money is not fdic insured... By the GOVERNMENT!! it seems its easier to skim an atm the banks may only have one ill ask my bank manager
they dont direct deposit ebt money its loaded on the card thru a bank and is a national ebt system so if you arent carefull take cash out and change pin for next time so thats all you can do

But SNAP isn't "money" per se... like you can't withdraw SNAP money/ balance at an ATM. So like I said ,I'm confused by this video. 🤔

im in ny lost 234 of 270 taken in colrado and spent im un ny in colotado they say a law id coming out to reimburse i wont be a victim again i can easily change the pin online and be carefull of the terminals some are foolproof if they are small but most have a slot on the side i will inform cashiers about it once you change the pin after using it it cant be hacked from any skim/yes taake out all the cash if you have any usually its 500 a day dont know how they got more unless ebt is different yes cash is endless food what are tnhey doing with it
