What's wrong with his subwoofer enclosure? I don't see any issue here. For my opinion that is probably the dope is under seat subwoofer enclosure I've seen and especially it tuned properly! So for all that work he done with this subwoofer enclosure he likes it that's his Hobby! My wife and I built a subwoofer enclosure for an Ampere Audio RVE 2.5 8 dual 2 ohm. It's on our Channel just click on my icon and you will see also along with the other Auto Audio videos and random s***. ;)

Hey Thom, me too still learning everyday. Just lay a plan on everything you do. SketchUp or Tinkercad are free schematics software to use in designing. And always measure twice, thrice, and cut once. Take it slow and feel the build. You will get to build your best wall or boxes sooner than you know it.
I like this design and good craftsmanship. My only concern is mounting the amp upside down and with limited air flow, thermal management of the amp might be an issue.

I had this particular amp model for a quite a while now and this amp can take a hard beating and never had a problem. They're built like a tank.

You need a speaker designing software. You can download WinISD (for Windows). It is free and very accurate.
I use Bass Box Pro 6.0.23. (windows)
I don't have fancy tools just cordless jigsaw so will give it a go.
