Only really understood by the practitioner. If a new, realm, task or movement makes you bored it is you not the activity you are undertaking and if you allow your self to notice the tendency to feel a certain way when engaging with it and ask why is that? Then We can garner some real knowledge. Learning anything can be boring at first because there is too much instant gratification in this day and age and we are constantly grabbing on to the new shiny thing and wanting to change the world around us instead of ourselves. Thats is what I get from it. Wisdom can only be heard when those listening are ready I guess.
It was hard for me to get too much value out of this (perhaps I just need to listen to it and reflect on it more deeply) because it is obviously part of a bigger discussion around going after what you want despite how you feel? Adapting your circumstances occassionally to fit your desires? Giving up all worldy attachments and going to live in a cave? I'd be interested to know how this fits with a lot of the specific goal directed advice that Ido seems to give out (do 30 minutes of squats a day). I think he means just learn to go after what you want despite how you feel in the present moment but perhaps I'm selling him short. Of course some concepts are intellectually very simply "shut up and lift bro!" but the whole value is in the execution.
Ihanks for the added comments in the description it helps get deeper insight to what you were getting at. Shalom
