For anyone curious about these steps. They are expensive and will cost around 500-900$$ to have them professionally installed. Some companies bill for 4 hours total for installation. So it's dependent on whatever their hourly rates are. I bought the Power Step XL. My truck sits about 20" from ground to cab. Power Step XL allows an extra 4 inch drop, once deployed it's about 9 inches from ground to step. It feels way more natural this way to get in my truck. I'm 5'10, the initial step feels a bit shallow but once I'm on the step my hips are already parallel with the seat of the cab. Way easier on the knees.
pretty simple, are they controllable with the uconnect screen also or is that only the factory power steps that can be lowered and raised from inside the vehicle?

These only open with the door being opened unless you order an override switch and wire it in as well.

No. It’s extended because of the security tracker that’s plugged in. I’ve put a splitter on it since then so it doesn’t have that issue anymore
