The statement is that anyone deemed worthy of weilding the hammer shall also possess all the powers of Thor himself which is the ability to control lightning so if you are worthy of controlling the hammer you are also worthy of controlling the power of lightning
Exactly
There is nothing more beautiful and overwhelming than Thor's "I knew it"
When I saw this movie in theaters on its release date, I almost lost my voice because of the amount of screaming I showed when watching this moment.
you should be quiet in a movie theater
@@barr4ckObama240 In my movie theater, everyone screamed this moment, and so did I. Believe me, EVERY THEATER went insane during this moment.
At 7:46, it's explained in the first Thor film, by an enchantment done by Odin on the hammer, "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor."
In Thor: Ragnarok, Odin explains to Thor that the hammer isn't what gives him the power to control lightning. The hammer merely focuses his own power.
Not only is the Captain worthy, Mjollnir likes him.
Steve was always worthy. His main intention was always to protect
First time captain America lifts Thor's hammer is in comic issue Thor #390 in 1988
Best moment! Gives me chills ❤❤❤
In the comics it says that Captain can wield any weapon, it only takes 10 seconds to master anything. Mind you this from the comics ❤
It always surprises me that people DONT realise that Cap is worthy,
People he showed us twice,
1. The grenade scene with the fake one Steve was actually willing to give his LIFE for his team.
2.Also he volunteer for the Super Soldier experiment that COULD have killed him, he did he so he could be someone who could save other soldiers lives.
Anyone so willing to fight and die for others HAS to be worthy in Odins spell.
My boy Steve has always been worthy...mijolnir would never budge an inch if someone unworthy would try to move it...when Steve realized he could, he simply backed out to avoid attention and not to steal Thor's thunder :P ....Thor could tell it too..that's why he said "I knew it" here
He was not worthy in Ultron because of Bucky.

@@ghstdnsr Actually he was, the Russos already confirm it. Plus there's no such thing as half worthy or almost worthy. You either worthy or not, if Cap was not worthy at the time then the hammer would never move. Even Thor implied it when he said "I knew it"
"watching people pretend to act surprised" 😂
Making a reaction video out of people's reaction videos. Just garbage upon garbage.
The hammer is basically an extension of thors power
Cap can use lightning because Odin inchanted Thor's hammer in the first Thor movie.
@@itsygo2655 The enchantment was whoever is worthy enough to hold the hammer, will pretty much turn into Thor 2.0
I want to film my 50th time watching this movie for the first time.
"Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor."
Dude my reaction is just laughter and crying and just general excitement to this. When I saw this for the first time I was like YEAH MY BOY IS WORTHY! HE'S WORTHY AND HE'S MIGHTY!!!
2:23 the guy speaked truth captain America is the strongest Avenger !!
Odin said that the Hammer only help focus the power from within! So evidently Steve rogers has some extra! But Odin also said who ever wields the hammer will have the power of Thor!
Does that mean that cap, at that moment, had the power to be completely annihilated by little kids in Fortnite, too?
In all honesty, its just so hard to believe that all of them have seen this movie the first time.. especially if they have posters or action figures of superheroes in the room.. they are avid fan of marvel and for sure went to the cinemas for the movie.
at the same time they might not want to deal with people who scream over the whole movie.
My energy was the second girl! I knew he was worthy but was still shocked
He did it in a comic book in the 80's ,sooooooo
My heart would have probably stopped if Cap flew with the hammer in this fight lol. I just couldn’t take it anymore 😂😂😂. That was bliss overload.
Shame he didn't do it, he could probably do it since his body is pretty much the same as Thor thanks to the enchantment.
Bliss overload. Yes.
You want me to believe that all of them saw this movie the first time???
😂😂😂
I dont understand all the people being surprised by Cap lifting the hammer he did it in the comics in the 1980s, used the hammer to save Thor from an attack by Anubus.
Half the people watching these movies weren’t born 20 years after that comic came out. Not that surprising that so many are surprised.
most people don't follow the comics. They were surprised by the whole snap thing too which is probably more famous than Cap wielding Mjolnir several times in the comics.
But the ones that are acquainted would not be surprised. I called it way back when the original contest scene in AOU was shown that Cap would use it some day in the films...especially given the comic history.
He wasn't always worthy. In AGE of Ultron, ultron made a comment about Captain America saying that he seems so perfect, but he can't live without war. From then to now, probably due to the events or infinity war and endgame, he corrected that flaw. Just guessing.
Amazing man
The first time I watched this scene, I pissed off my neighbors, cuz I screamed... I KNEW IT... LIKE A BITCH THANOS.... HOWS THAT LIGHTING FEEL?!
The first time I watched in the theatre,I thought mjolnir saved the thor, but after I realized it's cap than it gave me shock😮.
Hahahahaha, he'd be good at tennis!!! 😂
The girl asking about the lightning....I was wondering the exact same thing. It's THOR who is the GoT, not Mjolnir. So it doesn't really track that Cap could wield the lightning.
I mean I know Thor just channels his power through his weapons but I thought the hammer at at least some thunder power
The chant on Mjolnir is that whoever is worthy to lift the hammer is given the powers of Thor. That’s why he also gets the ability to control lightning. It’s not just simply getting to use Mjolnir
This mjolnir is from 2013, and it was enchanted by Odin, who literally put it, and he said that "whoever holds this hammer if he be worthy shall posses the power of thor" that's why he can summon lighting.
The enchantment by Odin states, “Whosoever wields this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor!” So, consequently, when wielding Mjölnir; Cap has ALL of the powers of Thor. This includes the power to summon lightning and control the weather; not just super-strength, flight, and invulnerability.
It's not the hammer, it's the enchantment that Odin put on the hammer that turn Cap's body into Thor 2.0. Hence why even Stormbreaker who doesn't have the enchantment also responded to Cap's call. Because Cap's body is pretty much the same as Thor at the time.
So I'm here watching some watch other people, and I'm enjoying it! Where did my life go wrong?
I believe that he was actually NOT worthy in age of ultron, but he was very close to being worthy.. I think it would later take him admitting to tony about bucky killing tony's parents and coming clean on the lie by omission he had kept for such a long time for fear of telling him.. after civil war I believe cap could fully lift the hammer not just budge it. I could be wrong but I like this explanation more than him just choosing not to lift it. thats just me tho
I respectfully disagree. However, I do see your point.
You are right he was not worthy, He still had one secret he was keeping hence it only budged
@@user-ni5pb6fj8l not really totally worthy until he confessed to Tony that he knew Bucky killed his parents in Civil War, then that took the last of his demons
@@ghstdnsr that's not how the enchantment works.
In the comics he is always worthy, but he had to overcome this who he is ❤
I think the only thing that held him back was his secret that Bucky killed Tony's parents, but once he admitted it, he was all good.
@@ghstdnsr Yeah it's stuff like that he had to overcome that's one of the things that held him back from being unworthy
@@traviskulka9861 he was worthy even back then. If he were even 1% unworthy the hammer would not have moved at all.
Odin said the Hammer channels Thors power, but isn’t it’s source. So while Steve weildsThors power it still comes from him. The question is if Thor wasn’t nearby would Steve still have that power?
Yes bc remember in Thor Love and Thunder Jane Foster starts using the power of Thor while Thor isn't even on earth at the time
😆😆😆😆
Cap been worthy, the only thing was he lied about bucky
he didn't lie about bucky but he was always worthy.
ENGLISH PLEASE.
Back to the thor 2011 and watch that scenes that all fathers talked to the hammer
dude i dont need you reacting to reacting
Progressives watching TV lol!!!!
These reactions suck
The first time I watched this scene, I pissed off my neighbors, cuz I screamed... I KNEW IT... LIKE A BITCH THANOS.... HOWS THAT LIGHTING FEEL?!
