@@_Spectrum_288 I don’t know what Chadwick would’ve wanted but his brother most likely knows and Derek Boseman said he believe Chadwick would’ve wanted the role to be recast. Chadwick himself said in many interviews he wanted fans to see the character and not him. When he was given the rule for Black Panther, he was excited to start a legacy similar to Batman and Superman, but with Tchalla son of TCHAKA dead, the legacy couldn’t even get started

Thankfully, he did see his son. He prepared T'Challa the 2nd and Nakia for his eventual death. Nakia said as much.

Why give him a son names Tchalla and continue the story, making us wait instead of recasting the main one? This is why the lack of black man in the movie was a problem to me. Why take away black men to elevate black women? Shuri became Black Panther when Tchalla was in a coma, when he came out, there were 2 Black Panthers ALIVE

He didn't walk out on his responsibilities, he died. If it wasn't sickness, it would've been in the line of duty. Also, T'challa was literally surrounded by women: the queen, his sister, the Dora Milaje. All of them, his closest, most trusted allies. The only other notable Male characters that didn't die were M'Baku, Agent Ross, and Bucky. M'Baku tried to stay isolated in the mountains and Bucky and Ross aren't taking over anything. It was up to the women closest to him and in power to fill the void until a solution could be had. Be logical.
While the black panther is usually a king. T'challa was always surrounded by powerful women. The character died to honor the actor, and, in that case, clearly, the power vacuum would be filled by a woman. Black Panther was a black man's movie, Wakanda forever was a black woman movie
