Dave’s comments are spot on. I’ve always had a hard time getting into these guys. Some songs I really dig, but others I just scratch my head. Don’t know how much of the 80’s hard rock Dave listened to, but a great often overlooked band ( and could really play) was Cinderella. With Dave liking the blues I think he would really dig this. This song even has the great Cozy Powell on drums. Tom Keifer, the singer, is the one playing the phenomenal blues licks. ruclips.net/video/dAMX_bKkUx4/видео.htmlsi=xdyn_WGVKjIlTORc. Thanks guys.
Coincidence or not, the word "mitosis" is sung at the exact middle point of the song. :) And another great reaction. It is always enjoyable to listen to Dave. It took me few times to go through this song before it really clicked. Those big words were a bit annoying (since I'm not an native englis speaker), but after some time.. Man I love this song. As I do all the songs on this album. :) ** EDIT ** I tried to find some Opeth from your channel, but there seems to be none? If they are not yet familiar, "The Drapery Falls" could be a good starter from this Swedish band of prog'ness and death?
Music for an angry med student. ha! Intricate, intense stuff. I have to be in the right headspace I think to listen/appreciate to this kind of stuff. Here's a much more traditional sounding melodic rock song from swedish band, art nation for Dave to check. Good vocals and clean pop sound. reminded me a little of Journey and 80s stuff. It's the tune, need you to understand. ruclips.net/video/KOAvr5hbHcA/видео.html
