I just tried this on my white walls and blue walls in my kids room. They have black beds that have caused black smudges on the walls. It worked great! Most of the smudges came off! Just a couple of smudges that were pretty deep did not come all the way off but definitely not as noticeable now. Even with the blue wall there was no discoloration with using the baking soda. Thank you for this hack!

Thank you so much!!! I took all the decoration of my wall to make my room look more simple and there were many scuffs and marks from my spray painted picture frames. I was using soap and water and it wouldn't come off no matter how hard I scrubbed. This saved my walls!!! I was thinking I was going to have to buy $40 of paint but this removed everything! You're the best ❤️

baking soda is the MOST multifunctional miracle. it is incredible. however, now i have still have a slightly dirty looking wall,.i cant make it look clean without the paint bubbling ! thanks x

Looks like you have the exact same type of bumpy wall that I have, had a couch up against the wall, wondering can just paint over it, looks like the same color, is yours an off white, but your suggestion was really good, thanks.
You probably could paint over it if the paint is a good quality (thicker rather than thinner). We didn't need to do that at the time. We did eventually move out of that house a few years ago and repainted the room. We had no issues with the painting, although the scuff marks had already been removed. That would literally strip the paint right off my walls (they are very fragile). I just paint over the scuff marks. Usually if the scuff marks are small I just put some paint in a clean cloth and lightly dab over the scuff marks, painting them in. It comes out perfect and you will never know it was there.
