hi everyone .in this video I'm dealing with stains. How to paint over the stains as to remove it is not always possible. You need to apply 2 coats of solvent or oil based paint ( like gloss paint for exterior wood & metal) , that will cover the stain completely , then apply 2 coats of emulsion paint. and that's it. It also works on the ceiling leak stains (the yellow ones). Hope it helps. Thanks for watching & Please Subscribe

Great video. Thank you. I have a wall with sharpie drawings all over the place, I’m going to try your method sanding first tho 😉
Thanks for going to the trouble of uploading this. I'll try the method, and see how I go.
Very nice and funny.... Good job 👊
oil based paints tend to go yellow over time. As you mentioned I would rather sand down (if possible) or use mixture of bleach and water and dab it on stains (x4 times in 30mins) and then paint over with water based paint (2 or 3 cots).
Would white vinegar do the trick, or baking soda.
@@tonieamannministries Not tried vineger as it may stain- baking soda could work-but messy.
Have you ever done it? How was the result?
@@nishtasnim i've used bleach few times and it works very well. Jsut have to be patient when doing it- as it will look like its not working at first but then 2-3 hours later it will turn white. If its a darker stain then use pure bleach in a small tub and small brush to place it on wall/ceiling. Always wear eye protection.
@@actionreplay8235 thanks! Why would you paint it again after using bleach? Just wondering. I have a orangish mark on my white wall, I want to avoid painting that part only because there will be a visible fresh white patch even though rest of the wall is white, I feel like just that part will be whiter hence asking.
I had a dried water stain 50cm by 50cm that I cleaned over with water and bleach, then I wiped off the bleach. I let the stained area dry off and I then painted the over the stain with water based anti stain paint which is white. I'm now going to paint the whole wall in yellow. However, should I paint over the white anti stain paint first with a coat of yellow, let it dry and then paint the wall or is it ok to paint the whole wall in yellow and the small area of white anti stain paint won't show through??
"Remove stains"
Step 1: Make some stains
What I find happens over time is, the oil based paint will show through the emulsion. It is a bit like using vinyl silk to paint over a stain on matt emulsion, it shows up after a while.
Thank you sir
Nice job
Is the solvent based gloss like a primer?
The best solution is just get some Zinsser Bulls Eye 123 (water based) or Zinsser BIN (solvent). That will cover any stain and keep it covered.
The walls are covered in food and juices in my kids room it’s ridiculous
If I was to use your method to repaint a room, and I painted a wall every two days, would it be safe to sleep in the room on the days I paint?
Can you tell me how to clean walls that are not painted and are written with markers, crayons and pencils and not get any stain
for crayons or fatty stains, wash with sugar soap, starting at the bottom working upwards...
Video starts at 1:38
Just use stain blook
That's fine, if you happen to have it - which I don't , and am not going to invest in same, as I have only one, small, stain.
This video is just how to paint over stains. It doesn't show how to remove stains. You can paint over anything with a heavy paint... Waste of time.
I know right😒
