    Great video !
    For those who may need a substitute solution,
    Maybe use essential oil/vinegar/oil, if you are worried about babies and pets or have an allergic reaction to commercial brands.
    (Pour one cup of water into a glass measuring cup. Then add 1/2 cup of distilled white vinegar. Then pour in two tablespoons of olive oil. Then add 5 drops each of lemon, grapefruit, and lavender essential oils. Shake well and spray on the surface that needs dusting.)
    The most worrisome preservatives in fabric softeners/laundry detergents include methylisothiazolinone , a potent skin allergen, and glutaral, known to trigger asthma and skin allergies. Glutaral (or glutaraldehyde) is also toxic to marine life. Among artificial colors, D&C violet 2 has been linked to cancer.
    All love and peace ❤️

    So, what exactly is fabric softener? A base, an acid, absorber, what is it? I ask because I think Americans own a ton of chemicals which could really just be replaced with 3 or 4 things: baking soda, lemon juice, etc. If I have more than 3 chemicals under a bathroom sink I stop and try to think how I could give less money to Procter and Gamble.

They make bath matt's out of the same material). They use this material on a flexible stick or pad but it's not practical to use on hands and knees or continuously rinsing/drying by hand.

    Just wondering if the baseboards are in a carpeted room and you get some spillage--is it ok on the carpet? Or avoid these areas.

    • @michelletennyson8535
      @michelletennyson8535 2 года назад +2

      It’s made to be used on fabrics so carpet should be no different but if it’s too much it may cause a temporary, slightly greasy looking stain that should easily be removed by rubbing it with a little (maybe warm) water or a damp sponge/towel.

    I use a sponge mop add fabric softener and do all my carpeting every two day's. People will be surprised what comes up and your house alway’s smells great. Also I have used the shaving cream all over my carpeting they look great and bottles all over my rugs used mob again and saved myself hundreds they look great no stains. I accidentally dropped dirt from plants I was in shock when I did it and my stairs four floors and they come out wounderful.

      @@travelinggirl6681 Yes its great Or I use at least weekly a good smelling cleaning antibacterial to get the germs out even though I do not allow shoes in my home? (Still with pandemic and so on) I have always done that. See what people are unaware of is we lose 1,000 hairs a day and it ends up in our rugs and anywhere one can imagine, so I started doing that at 12 (Lol) and I have since. But yes make sure you disinfect as well at least once every two weeks I'd say. Softener sure will make it smell good soften them up, but really disinfect them as well. It doesn't hurt the carpeting at all and you'll be in shock when you see how dirty and how much comes up. Also yes the shaving cream works I would buy a few bottles I sprayed 4 floors completely used a tooth brush if there was a little stain left it a little bit , wet the mob and it cleaned my rugs like new, I also browed my Neighbors wet dry vacuum it sucked everything up. I no more tricks then I wish honestly lol

      Our neighbor lady used to pay me $.50 a day when I was a kid to come clean the baseboards in her Craftsman-type house with loads of wood trim. My parents eventually bought her house and we moved next door when I was in junior high school. She was an unmarried school principal and we unfortunately called her an "old maid" back then. She was a strict woman. She retired and wanted to leave.
